Walmart Apologizes for "Back to School" Gun Display
You know, people joke about back-to-school supplies every year. Usually, the joke “back-to-school” item is some sort of alcoholic beverage. (And sometimes it’s not a joke)
But we think that we’ve now seen the absolute worst, most tasteless back-to-school advertisement that the world has to offer.
As if Walmart needed more bad publicity, after one of their online product descriptions included the n-word.
So, a lot of seasonal displays in stores aren’t for holidays.
Back-to-school shopping is huge.
Students need to be prepared for the new school year, and have often already been given lists by teachers on what sorts of materials they’ll need and in what quantities.
Sometimes those lists will include a request for extra supplies for the classroom, like tissue boxes or extra staples.
It’s important because extra supplies can benefit classrooms and teachers in what are often underfunded school districts.
It can be fun for students, because who doesn’t like having a new set of pens and an abundance of fresh notebooks and folders?
One particular Walmart appeared to have a very unorthodox idea of what constitutes “back to school shopping” … and nobody was laughing.
A display advertising guns (which, yes, you can just buy at a Walmart) presented them as back-to-school items.
And it was made even worse by this particular line:
“Own the school year like a hero.”
Needless (we hope) to say, this is horrifying.
Not only are guns banned from most campuses for obvious reasons.
But the mass shooting epidemic here in the US has not left schools untouched.
From Columbine to Virginia Tech to Sandy Hook to, unfortunately, countless other schools, school shootings have ended lives and ruined others.
The image of the Walmart display went viral.
People shared it because it was horrifying.
It is very possible that no one was more horrified than Walmart themselves, who tweeted their shock and condemnation of the display and released a statement disavowing it:
“What’s seen in this photograph would never be acceptable in our stores.”
Remember, the higher-ups at Walmart do very little to manage the day-to-day operations within stores.
But obviously someone at that store exercised almost unimaginably poor judgment.
“We regret this situation and are looking into how it could have happened.”
Walmart’s Charles Crowson told CNN that Walmart is actively trying to locate the store that held this display and ensure that it’s down.
Which means that Walmart cannot currently confirm that the display is no longer up.
We have to imagine, though, that someone at that store scrambled to take it down.
It’s difficult to picture Walmart not firing someone over that.
As a general rule, you never want to be the one who makes the higher ups at your company have to issue apologies.
Walmart is a massive company with approximately one bajillion stores, so the search could take a while.
Especially if the store manager who let this happen feels terrified and feigns ignorance in the hopes that this story will just die down.

Walmart Uses N-Word in Product Description, Is Really Sorry
Walmart says it’s really, REALLY sorry for using the most inflammatory word in the English language to describe the color of a wig cap being sold on its website.
The controversy blew up on Monday morning when Twitter user Kwani Lunis shared a screenshot of the product page in which the cap’s color is described in detail.
As you can see below, Walmart is advertising that this item is available in “N-gger Brown.”
For real. It really did say that.
“Hey @Walmart what are you doing?” Lunis asked as a simple and understandable question as a caption to the photo:
Many others quickly took notice of the Walmart.com page, with author Roxanne Gay writing, “Oh @Walmart, why is this on your website? So far past unacceptable.”
Perhaps, you may be thinking, this isn’t Walmart’s fault.
Perhaps this is merely the name of the color.
Nope.
Comedy writer Travon Free Tweeted that he found the same cap for sale on Amazon and, “for context,” he pointed out that the description is “minus a certain word.”
Following the social media outcry, the racial slur was taken off from the description for the wig cap, which the site explains is sold by Jagazi Naturals.
However, astute Twitter users noted that the epithet was still listed further down on the page, even after Walmart looked into the problem.
Shortly thereafter, the store took the listing down entirely and said that the information for each product is “provided by manufacturers, suppliers and others, and has not been verified by us.”
It further said the following in a mea culpa released to The Huffington Post:
“We are very sorry and appalled that this third-party seller listed their item with this description on our online marketplace.
“It is a clear violation of our policy, and has been removed, and we are investigating the seller to determine how this could have happened.”
This is not the first time Walmart has been at the center of a scandal, based on what it was selling or how it was advertising an item.
In December 2016, the retail giant got in trouble after third-party seller offered a mug reading “Got Retard?” on the website.
A mug saying “Got Hitler?” was also complained about and removed around that same time.
Then there was the way Walmart tried to cash in on 9/11 by hanging a banner that read “We Will Never Forget” above a display of soda cans on sale.
In this case, Ragan Dickens, Walmart’s national media relations director, says the wig cap was sold by a third party, NOT by Jagazi Naturals, the creator of the item.
Walmart is in the process of suspending their account and are further investigating the issue.
According to Walmart.com, the company explicitly prohibits third-party retailers from selling “offensive” products through its marketplace.
This includes products that display “vulgar language.
It also includes “products that either portray, glorify or promote in an insensitive way animal cruelty; any historical or news events; criminal or illegal activity; derogatory stereotyping based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or nationality; hatred; intolerance; natural or man-made disaster(s); tragedy; violence.”

Woman Confronts Cheating Husband, Side Chick at Walmart and S--t Gets Real
A woman recently confronted her cheating husband and his side piece at Walmart and all hell broke loose in vintage Walmart fashion.
You can just scroll on down to the video now at the bottom of this page, but in the interest of paragraphs, let"s break down the action!
It"s not clear how the woman found out about the affair, or knew both parties would be at Walmart at this moment, but she did. Oh, she did.
“Excuse me, how you doing? You know who I am? I’m Wayne’s wife. Mmm hmm," she says, awkwardly confronting the mistress.
The mistress avoids eye contact as she offers the time-honored mistress defense: “Well, if everything was fine with you…"
“No," the scorned wife says. "You’re breaking up a home. You’re cheating with my husband. So how filthy and nasty are you?"
“Get out of my face,” the mistress demands.
“And if I don’t? ‘Cause you’re a nasty, filthy cheater," the wife responds. "That’s what you do? You go around sleeping with married men?"
"Do you realize he has children? Are you a Christian? He’s married. Do you realize that? You go around sleeping with people’s husbands."
"You are breaking up a home. Cheater. Cheater! You are a cheat-er! And I hope you’re happy. I hope you’re happy, breaking up a home."
"You text my husband … and you know he’s married. You know he’s married, and you’re still sleeping with him? You are a piece of filth.”
Security is called in, and the video stops just after she says: “No. You come in to my home. I have video of you coming to my home.”
And … scene. And then we pick up the action in the parking lot where she confronts the cheating husband as well! Wayne is blindsided.
“That’s how you do huh? That’s how you do huh? That’s how you do huh? Huh? Yeah I confronted your little broad too in there," she says.
"You f–kin’ cheater. Cheater! And then it’s a f–kin’ white woman. Oh! F–kin’ cheater. You ain’t nothing but a cheater. I got it. You a cheater!"
"I got you! I got you! We got you! I got you outta my system now. You nasty bitch. You ain’t nothing but a piece of filth. You’re f–kin’ married!"
Sums it up well. See it below.

Walmart Shopper FLIPS THE EFF OUT on Black Friday
Need another reason to stay home on Black Friday?
Need another reason to sit back and save a boatload of money via Cyber Monday instead?
Just consider the following video.
It features a woman who is in desperate need of her husband. And a Xanax, by the looks and sounds of things.
We don"t know her name. We don"t know what she is looking for inside of this Walmart. We don"t know exactly what is wrong with her, except to assume that the pressure of Black Friday has made her snap.
We"re somehow guessing, however, that it doesn"t take much to make this shopper snap.
All we know is that the woman is wearing a pretty snazzy Star Wars top and doesn"t like it when someone asks if she"s drunk.
Or when she"s reminded that kids are in the vicinity.
Watch her react to both of those pronouncement in a very scary manner below:

Two Dogs Crash Car Into Walmart Store
You should never leave your dog in your car.
They could chew your seat, or even end up really ill with the heat.
Staff at the Wayne Walmart store in West Virginia were shocked to the core when a car drove into the building on Friday, July 29.
They probably expected a drunk driver to be present in the car, but they were sadly mistaken.
In the car were two dogs, who decided to go for a little joyride.
Their owner left them in the car to indulge in some shopping, but she was sure to keep the car running in order to keep the dogs cool.
The owner of the car is said to be in her late 70s.
Somehow, the dogs managed to take the car out of park and ended up careering into the wall of a Walmart building.
It’s all pretty crazy, but hilarious at the same time.
No one was harmed in the crash.
One of the dogs even managed to roll down the window and hop out.
Everyone is pretty darn lucky that the car was moving slowly, so pedestrians had time to move out of the way.
Things could have been much worse.
Nothing good will ever come from leaving your little four-legged friends in the car.
Maybe the elderly lady should get the dogs driving lessons before they embark on their next big journey.
There’s a thought.
What do you think about all of this?

Walmart Shopper GOES OFF on Dad Using Food Stamps
Can"t a man just purchase items at Walmart in peace?
Nope. Not when that man is on food stamps, apparently.
A video has gone viral that depicts one patron at this national chain getting REALLY angry at another because the second patron is using food stamps to purchase his items.
As a child, who it"s safe to assume is the man"s son, sits in the latter"s shopping cart… the lady complains about how she"s really the one paying for his groceries with her tax money.
“You know, I put in 50-60 hour weeks… trying to provide for my family,” the man seems to say, although a few of his words are difficult to decipher.
The footage was filmed by a fellow shopper standing in line.
“You’re not providing for it, I am,” the woman snaps back. “The government is.”
In response, clearly taken aback that he"s being harassed in public in this kind of manner, the suggests that his critic complain to her lawmaker or vote Republican.
“Oh, trust me, I am not a bleeding heart fucking liberal,” the woman answers, stating the obvious.
The two go back and forth from there, with the man remaining surprisingly calm.
He recommends once again that the woman take up the issue with her local lawmakers because he"s just taking advantage of the system… and trying, as he said, to provide for his family.
At one point, the woman claims the man must be a supporter of Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.
She clearly believes that poor people are lazy.
"That’s exactly what you vote for, they give it to you so that you vote that way,” the woman says. “I’m not stupid. I have a degree. I’m pretty damn smart.”
The man does call the woman by a very bad name toward the end of the video, but ca you blame him?
Forget the political topic at hand for a moment. Let"s not get into a debate over the use of food stamps.
Did this woman really need to go off on a stranger in front of his young son?
You can see the man putting cereal and other very common household items into his cart. We can"t pretend to know his situation, and this woman would likely mock our bleeding hearts… but come on.
Who yells at a dad buying food for his family?!?
