Once Upon a Time Season 5 Episode 3 Recap: Lancelot Lives!

Look out, Storybrooke.

As made evident on Once Upon a Time Season 5 Episode 3, Emma is on a mission to get Excalibur and snuff out her light forever.

In need of a hero to yank the famous sword out of its resting place, Emma turned to Hook, who knows a lot about Dark Ones and saw right through her plan.

“I loved you,” he told Emma when challenged to profess his feelings, making the past tense clear and asking the Dark Swan what she is really after.

In both Storybrooke and Camelot, meanwhile, it’s made pretty clear that the King isn’t as noble as initially assumed, considering he stole the crimson toadstool from Charming during a mission to track down an item that would allow them to speak to Merlin.

Arthur jumped (too enthusiastically?) at the chance to help David with this quest, as the latter quickly took fondly to the former.

The King’s motives are not entirely clear at this point, but he did offer David a spot on his Round Table.

Mary Margaret is proud of her man for his seat among the honored Knights, but then her attention is diverted but someone else there: Lancelot! Somehow alive!

Arthur tried to sound humble in explaining the awkward situation between himself, Guinevere and Lancelot… but the presumed-dead knight tells it different.

He speaks of corruption and greed and a ruthless leader who will do anything possible to remain in charge of his kingdom.

Finally, Belle arrived at Rumple’s bedside after the rose revealed to her that he was waking up from his coma… only to find he had done AWOL.

Thanks to Emma?

We can only assume Belle will go off on her own quest to find out and we can’t wait to watch that unfold.

Sister Wives Recap: So Many Girls, Only One Kody

Kody Brown, literally up to his elbows in women, attempted to bond with his youngest daughters on an all-new episode of Sister Wives this week.

At one point on Sister Wives Season 6 Episode 8, the Brown patriarch and his girls ended up in a situation one of the wives was not a big fan of.

Having a blast on a California beach trip is great and all, but Robyn Brown wishes her hubby would have individual heart to hearts with them instead.

Previously acknowledging that he didn’t have the best relationship with his girls, Kody came up with this road trip/beach idea as a way to fix that.

“This will allow us to hang out and bond,” Ysabel, one of the five companions, explained. “I’m excited to go somewhere all alone with dad.”

“It’ll be nice to have dad all to ourselves,” Savannah added.

You know you have a big family when “only” five of you go somewhere together and you legitimately consider that “all to ourselves” or “all alone.”

That’s no surprise if you watch Sister Wives online, though. When you have four wives and 17 kids, well, taking it down to just five kids is relaxing!

Meanwhile, Maddie Brown explained to Robyn and Meri, Kody’s first sister wife, why she wasn’t being allowed to get baptized by the LDS:

“They called me and said it was too contradictory and they hope I reconsider [joining the church] when we’re not such a public family.”

Maddie elaborates that the LDS church, which banned polygamy a century ago, wouldn’t accept her unless she would “publicly disown” her family.

“That’s so unfair,” Robyn responds, and we kind of agree.

Maddie reveals she’s now struggling with her faith.

“My beliefs don’t fit a religion other than the Mormon Church,” says Maddie, who is engaged to one man and does not plan to be in a plural marriage.

“And now I don’t want to join the Mormon Church,”

Elsewhere, Meri Brown confronted Janelle about partaking in therapy sessions and they both decided it was time to help mend their rocky relationship.

The two agree that they would like to find peace and find a way through the “turbulence” that has occurred from the “beginning of the relationship.”

“So what was the problem all these years? I don’t know,” Janelle says, presumably serious, as though plural marriage isn’t the long and short of it.

To each their own, but just saying.

Beyonce and Jay Z: Crazy in Love! Still!

Queen Bey and her king are doing just fine, thank you very much.

Despite yet another influx of divorce rumors, we can confirm that Beyonce and Jay Z are still as crazy in love as ever before. Just take a gander at the singer’s Instagram account!

Beyonce has given fans a rare glimpse into her personal account via social media, sharing the above photo of her and her man enjoying an intimate embrace.

We don’t know where this famously rich and talented couple is vacationing… but we do know it looks awfully nice.

And they look awfully happy together.

“It’s okay to depend on someone,” Beyonce said last year of her marriage.

“It’s actually what we’re supposed to do – we’re supposed to depend on each other.

“When you find the person that you trust and you love and you feel is going to respect you and take all the s–t you have and turn it around and bring out the best in you, it feeds you. It is the most powerful thing you can ever feel in your life.”

Amen, B.

Here’s a look at the famous couple over the years, as in love and as content as two people can be:

Michelle Duggar Shades Anna in Marriage Advice Column: ALWAYS Meet Your Man"s Needs!

Michelle Duggar’s new “Marriage Advice For Newlyweds” blog post doesn’t call out Anna Duggar by name, but man alive, does it read like a cheap shot.

In the post, which she penned Friday, Duggar matriarch Michelle urges newlywed and even pregnant wives to satisfy their man’s needs, ALL the time.

Sharing advice a friend once gave her about marriage, she writes: “Anyone can iron Jim Bob’s shirt … he can get his lunch somewhere else.”

“But you are the only one who can meet that special need that he has in his life for intimacy. You’re it. You’re the only one. So don’t forget that.”

“He needs you. So when you are exhausted at the end of the day, and you fall into bed so exhausted at night, don’t forget about him.”

“Because you and he are the only ones who can have that time together,” she urges. “No one else in the world can meet that need.”

Michelle notes that pregnancy does NOT exempt a wife from this, and that you had better not just go through the motions, either:

“Be available, and not just available, but be joyfully available for him. Smile and be willing to say, ‘Yes, sweetie I am here for you.’ No matter what.”

“Even though you may be exhausted, big and pregnant and you may not feel like he feels. ‘I’m still here for you and I’m going to meet that need."”

“‘Because I know it’s a need for you."”

In fairness to Michelle, she goes on to say that by doing this for your husband, “he’ll lay down his life” for you and meet your “needs” 24/7 as well.

Whether that’s true or not, who knows, and clearly her views on gender roles are extremely dated, but she does (somehow) see it as a two-way street.

She also urges, separately, for couples to actively seek marriage counseling if they have problems and do handle their issues privately. Sage advice.

Still, the fact that she doled out that bit of sex advice on the heels of Josh Duggar’s sex scandal is amazing, and brazenly insensitive … at best.

Does Michelle believe, as the Duggar family pastor does, that Anna is to blame for Josh cheating on her by not “taking care of” his needs in bed?

Was Michelle’s commentary a thinly-veiled dig at her daughter-in-law for not living up to her end of the bargain? Or was Anna not even on her mind?

That we’ll never know.

But reading this after porn addict Josh cheated on her with Danica Dillon, a second porn star and who knows who else he met on Ashley Madison?!

You have to wonder what she’s implying, and you have to hope that Anna Duggar leaves Josh if this is the kind of “wisdom” his family still espouses.
