In the midst of a battle with his ex-wife Leah Messer, Teen Mom 2‘s Corey Simms shared some great news with fans today. Simms and wife, Miranda Patterson welcomed daughter Remington Monroe, their first child together.
A little later on, Simms’ father, Jeff posted a photo of “Remi” with a very sweet caption:
“Remington Monroe surprised us this weekend with her early arrival. She and her mommy are doing well. I am hopelessly in love!”
Simms has 5-year-old twins Ali and Aleeah with Messer, who hasn’t had the easiest year; she entered treatment for depression, and has been fighting Simms for custody of the girls. On October 7th, a judge ruled that Simms, 26, will have custody of the twins Monday-Friday, leaving Leah with just the weekend.
This came after Messer was accused of not getting her daughters to kindergarten on time. In response to this, Messer claimed she suffers from narcolespy.
Messer also admitted that Simms cheated on Patterson with her.
“Things happened that shouldn’t have happened and it was disrespectful to Miranda and I have apologized,” Leah said on the Teen Mom 2 reunion. “That’s the only time that I disrespected her. Any other time I have never, ever let my kids say anything about her. I even told them that I expect them to respect Miranda as their stepmom.”
So, anyway. New baby!
