It"s been 25 years since the release of Home Alone.
Naturally, any group of people will go through plenty of ups and downs over such a long period of time, but some members of the cast have been on a non-stop roller coaster ride ever since the film was released.
Breakout star Macaulay Culkin, for example, went from banging Mila Kunis to playing in a pizza-themed Velvet Underground tribute band.
That downward spiral would be enough to make anyone scream like a 10-year-old who just tried aftershave for the first time.
Check out the gallery below for a full run-down of how the cast has changed over the past two and a half decades. And don"t forget to keep the change, ya filthy animals.
1. Macaulay Culkin: 1990
Home Alone made Culkin a box office god in 1990. He’s undergone quite a change over the years…
2. Macaulay Culkin: 2015
Macaulay Culkin on stage with the Pizza Underground. Yes, the kid from Home Alone is in a pizza-themed rock band.
3. Joe Pesci
Shortly after Home Alone was released, Pesci won an Oscar for his work in Goodfellas. Sadly, he hasn’t done much since. But hey, he was in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York!
4. Larry Hankin
The guy who plays the cop who couldn’t care less about Kevin and his family, went on to play the impound lot owner who couldn’t care less about Walt and Jesse on Breaking Bad. That’s some good apathy there, Larry.
5. Michael C. Maronna
One of Kevin’s many abusive siblings, Maronna went on to play a much kinder older brother on Nickelodeon’s Pete & Pete. He now enjoys the title, God Amongst 90s Kids.
6. Catherine O’Hara
If you’re of a certain age, O’Hara is most recognizable as Kevin McAllister’s harried mom. While HA might be her biggest box office hit, O’Hara’s resume is a mile long. She’s an in-demand comedic actress, thanks to her improv-heavy work in the films of Christopher Guest, and she’s currently filming the hilariously-titles series, Schitt’s Creek.
