Leave it to Kelly Clarkson to break out hearts with a simple music video.
The ultra talented singer (an all-time favorite here at The Hollywood Gossip) has come out with the official video for her latest single, "Piece by Piece" and it tugs at every last one of our heartstrings.
Set entirely in black and white, the video for Clarkson’s album title track features numerous close-ups of the original American Idol champion singing in the camera.
But it also features a number of images of mothers, daughters and pregnant women with their baby bumps proudly on display.
And that"s not all: the video concludes with Clarkson embracing her daughter, River Rose, paralleling the song’s meaning, which she has said is about her father and her husband Brandon Blackstock.
“My husband came into my life and he was the complete opposite of how my father was,” Clarkson told CBS’ Gayle King this week. “He was present. He wins for being around."
Clarkson and Blackstock, meanwhile, are expecting their second child some time in the spring of 2016.
And it"s gonna be a boy!!!!
Sadly, though, on the professional front, Clarkson had to cancel the remainder of her 2015 under doctor"s orders. She must give her vocal chords a rest.
But as long as she promises to provide us with plenty of adorable baby photos next year, all will be forgiven.
