The Huntsman: Winter"s War Trailer Looks UH-AMAZING

After Snow White and The Huntsman grossed $ 370 million in 2012, it was all systems go for a sequel.

That is, until director Rupert Sanders and his leading lady, Kristen Stewart were caught having an affair later that summer, which ruined everything.

The news was so shocking that Universal went back to the drawing board and moved ahead without either star; Chris Hemsworth, Sam Claflin and Charlize Theron would reprise their roles alongside Emily Blunt and Jessica Chastain.

The trailer for The Huntsman: Winter"s War is fairytale bad-assery at its finest.  Blunt plays the Freya the ice queen, younger sister to Theron"s Revenna, a masterpiece in liquid gold.

The plot finds Freya flees the kingdom she shares with Ravenna after "suffering a betrayal."   What betrayal that is, we will have to wait and see.

Freya finds herself with the power to freeze enemies and spends most of her time in "wintery palace" (live-action Frozen?).

Hemsworth and Chastain "play her trusted lieutenants," but "run afoul of their queen when they refuse to follow orders and harden their hearts to love."

So I guess Winter"s War isn"t so much of a sequel as it is an extension of sorts that involves a few characters from the first movie.

Whatever.  Hemsworth is in it.  I"m sold.

The Huntsman: Winter"s War opens in theaters on April 22nd, 2016.
