On The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 8 Episode 9, shade throwing reached nuclear levels as tensions escalated among the cast.
Perhaps most notably between Kandi Burruss, Todd Tucker, Phaedra Parks, $ 8,425, and the exercise video that never materialized.
For Todd, it’s all about principle of the issue and that finally boiled over on The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 8 Episode 9 Sunday.
He can live without eight grand, yes. But he feels Phaedra is being cheap and cavalier about an amount she obviously owes and could pay.
When they met up, Phaedra gave Todd this excuse: “It has been a very rough time for me so my priority was my family and health.”
Todd was not buying it, telling the cameras: “Phaedra can’t pay me ’cause she’s a single mother? Come on! Cut the check and stop playing.”
He showed her two canceled checks she did pay – 2/3 of the bill – and told her with 3/3 the DVD would be ready to go. She was nonplussed.
“It’s my name on the video,” Phaedra told the Bravo cameras. “I’ll say when it’s done and when Todd collects his check. Thank you.”
Meanwhile, Kandi’s manager DonJuan got heated last week, if you recall, when he overheard Porsha and Phaedra talkin’ about the video.
Kandi decided to ask Porsha about her version of the gossip – with Carmon and DonJuan in tow, a backup posse Porsha did not like.
If you watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta online, or know anything about Porsha Williams, you know this is only going to get worse.
As for DonJuan, he apologized for his tone if not the issue of why he was pissed; Porsha accepted this, if not happily, with open arms.
“You just ratchet as hell,” Porsha said. “Girl bye!”
Kandi and Porsha did sit down to talk things out later, and the former noted how she empathized with Phaedra given her own divorce.
However, “Phaedra is an attorney … she knows how to manipulate the situation. Just don’t do it at my expense,” Burruss continued.
Porsha said she truly wants to still be friends with Kandi, and Burruss seemed to make like Elsa and let it go, so there’s hope. For now.
Elsewhere, Kenya’s dad paid an emotional visit and Cynthia Bailey continued to try and reconcile with her husband Peter Thomas.
