It’s been almost three weeks since Josh Duggar left rehab and quietly returned home to Arkansas, and the disgraced father of four has been lying low ever since.
It’s not easy to hide out in a town as small as Tontitown, so it was only a matter of time until Josh was spotted out and about by some of the folks who have been his neighbors since childhood.
Yesterday, reports of the first post-rehab Josh sighting finally went public, and it seems that all is well with the 28-year-old and his long-suffering wife, Anna.
Either that, or they’re doing a fine job of pretending all is well.
Anna and Josh were reportedly spotted in a furniture store with her sister, Priscilla, and brother-in-law David Waller.
The following comments come from Duggar fan forums. Josh is hilariously referred to as “Smugs” or”Smuggar” throughout:
“Smuggar looked MUCH thinner than on TV. Maybe the stress is getting to him. They both looked happy & were passing the baby back & forth while they were talking with the other couple.”
“Anna was decked out in leather jacket, knee length skirt & ankle booties & full makeup. She looked prettier & thinner than she does on TV. (Making me wonder if the rumor that she is trying to look good for Smugs is true).”
The couple was reportedly spotted browsing at Sam’s Furniture, not far from the so-called “Duggar compound.”
Many have pointed out that the observation that they both appear to have lost weight seems to contradict the rumors that Anna is pregnant with her fifth child.
There’s no word on if they actually made a purchase, but as many fans have pointed out, Anna is the only reality TV star left in the marriage, so they were probably spending her money.
