Leah Messer on Instagram: See? I AM a Good Mom!

Leah Messer has taken a fair amount of flak for being an unfit mother in recent months.

And we don’t mean there’s a small contingent of Leah haters who question her parenting decisions now and then.

We mean there’s a devoted anti-Messer army out there that floods social media with harsher criticism than the entire Kardashian family gets on a bad day.

Part of the problem is that Leah was not depicted in a flattering light in the most recent episodes of Teen Mom 2.

The season started with a controversy over Leah refusing to feed her kids after she rushed them off to school without breakfast.

It’s ending with Leah accusing Miranda Simms of neglecting her daughters and a conflict in which Teen Mom 2 viewers seem to be overwhelmingly Team Miranda.

So clearly MTV isn’t interesting in help Leah spread her message that despite all appearances to the contrary, she’s actually a good mom.

(We’ll leave the question of whether or not her bad reputation is deserved or the result of clever editing for another day.)

That may have been a factor in Leah’s recent barrage of social media posts about how happy she is and how fully committed she is to ensuring that her kids are equally happy.

In particular, Leah has been devoting a lot of bandwidth to showing the world that she spends loads of time with youngest daughter Adalynn, as her relationship with the girl’s father, Jeremy Calvert, reportedly continues to deteriorate.

She posted the above photo yesterday along with the following caption:

“My love for this little girl continues to grow every day!” Messer gushed on Instagram on Sunday. “She has such a beautiful energetic warm loving comforting soul! I swear this kid will be an actress some day.

“Then again she hits me with the motorcycle sounds and I do believe she gets that from her daddy! She is my world, and I would be lost without her! #AdalynnFaith #TheBabyA #AAA.”

Possibly confirming rumors that her posts devoted to her kids double as subtle shade for Calvert, Messer tweeted the following shortly thereafter:

“Miserable people love MISERABLE thoughts. I just keep going ALL THE WAY UP!”

That’s great, Leah. Just don’t forget to bring your kids with you on your way to the top.
