Kody Brown and the Sister Wives Have Moved to Arizona!

While Sister Wives daughter Mariah Brown gushes about her move to Chicago, Kody Brown and the sister wives themselves have uprooted their family for a move of their own.

Kody and the sister wives left Vegas to move to Flagstaff, Arizona. They announced the move months ago, but have made some progress since then.

Here is what we know about their big move:

In July, the Browns put out a statement explaining why they were making this drastic change.

“As much as we’ve loved making our home and memories here in Las Vegas,” the statement began.

The statement continued: “we are excited to embark on a new adventure in Flagstaff, Arizona.”

“We are looking forward to cooler temperatures, the mountain air, scenic views,” the statement read.

The statement concluded, adding: “and the slower lifestyle of Flagstaff.”

At present, Kody and his wives and their young children have yet to actually move into new, permanent residences.

Don’t get us wrong — they’re lviing in Flagstaff. They made the move.

But apparently they’re currently living in four rentals, which are scattered throughout Flagstaff, and have also rented a commercial building.

In a recent interview with The Associated Press, Kody joked about the tangled logistical ngihtmare of moving so many people before their new homes are actually built.

“We moved to heaven,” he joked. “But we’re living in hell right now.”

Once their new residences are ready, however, it looks like they’ll be living in paradise.

Kody and the sister wives have spent $ 820,000 on purchasing their new properties, which will allow them to live in close proximity to each other.

The purchase of the four lots makes for a combined 15 acres of land.

It is also close to downtown Flagstaff.

But they’ll have to wait for their new homes to be built. In the mean times, they deal with inconvenience and a little chaos while their lives hang in limbo.

Even before they made their move to Flagstaff, Meri Brown spoke of her excitement alongside a photo of the open sky.

“Anyone who knows me well knows how much I love the mountains, the peace, calm, & serenity that can be found there,” Meri began.

Her post continued: “Since moving away from Utah I’ve missed being able to head up to my favorite mountain anytime I want.”

“But I’m looking forward to our move to the mountains of Arizona,” Meri expressed hopefully.

Meri concluded that she is excited about “the road that’s stretched out ahead of me and the promise it holds.”

Robyn Brown deer pic in flagstaff

Robyn Brown snapped a photo of a deer, writing: “I came upon this lovely creature in my backyard. It was an accident that I got so close. I had to snap a picture.”

“She just stopped and stared at me for the longest time,” Robyn shared. “I think she saw into my soul.”

“Ari has been scared of the deer we have been seeing,” Robyn continued. “But I explained they were nice and safe.”

“Now,” Robyn shared. “She loves watching them through the window. ‘They are nice happy deer!’ she says.”

Hopefully we’ll get to see a lot of their new experiences when Sister Wives returns on January 4!

Matt Roloff: I"m Loving Life in Arizona!

Matt Roloff has made it very clear in his latest Instagram post:

He may never return to Oregon.

No, the Little People, Big World patriarch did not come out and say this directly.

He didn’t even imply it, really.

We’re just reading between the lines a little bit here, based on some of the rumors we’ve heard; some of the news that has been leaking out; and some of Matt’s own words.

Roloff has said himself that he’s moving to Arizona, having reportedly purchased a home there that formerly belonged to the parents of his girlfriend, Caryn Chandler.

He’s been spending a lot of time in this state — and, as you can tell by the photo above, he’s having himself a blast there.

“Must admit… I love the hot temps with the low humidity. Today 109 with 11%,” wrote Roloff as a caption to this image.

Holy hotness, huh?!?

But at least it was a dry heat.

Matt is a busy man these days.

And he’s not busy doing anything on his family’s farm, which is a pretty huge change for the veteran reality star.

Roloff is actually about to embark on a book tour, telling Instagram followers that he may soon be coming to their city in order to meet them, greet them and sign some autographs.

What does this all mean for the future of Little People, Big World?

That’s what we’ve been wondering for awhile now.

Over the past several installments of this TLC hit, both Matt and ex-wife Amy have expressed some doubts over where things are going.

Said the latter a few weeks ago, for example:

“I don’t know what the future of the farm really holds…  it’s a challenge sometimes with Matt and I living on the farm together, being divorced and everything.”

Amy and Matt are both in serious relationships, the former with Chris Marek and the latter with Chandler.

They’ve been living within just a couple hundred yards of each other for years now, despite their divorce and despite some understandable tension that exists between the exes.

They do mostly get along, but they sometimes clash pretty hard over their shared business.

Of course, the ex-spouses also have two grandkids, Jackson and Ember, both of whom reside in Oregon.

Would Matt really move far away for extended periods of time?

It seems a little hard to believe when you consider how close he is to these toddlers.

Case in point:

But Arizona is clearly calling on occasion and Matt is very happy to answer.

TLC is yet to make any announcements about the future of Little People, Big World, leaving fans to wonder whether it will return after this current run of episodes is over.

It’s not as though it hasn’t enjoyed a terrific run, of course.

Heck, it’s helped the family set a world record!

If this will soon be the end, the series has had quite a run, that’s for certain.

Matt Roloff: Yup, I"m Moving to Arizona!

A major change is coming to Little People, Big World.

How major of a change?

Little People, Big World may no longer exist as a result.

In a response to a question from a fan on Facebook, Matt Roloff confirmed this weekend what some folks have been suspecting for awhile:

He’s moving away from Roloff Farms.

FAR, FAR away from Roloff Farms.

Ineed, he’s off to Arizona.

Over the past few episodes of this TLC series, Matt has hinted – heck, he’s flat out said – that he can’t handle living so close to his ex-wife for much longer.

Back when Matt and Amy divorced in the spring of 2016, the former agreed to live in the farm’s guest house.

However, the arrangement was only meant to be temporary, as Roloff explained on an installment of his family’s TLC program this month.

This “wasn’t supposed to be permanent,” he told the camera, adding that living just a few hundred feet from Amy is, understandably, “awkward.”

Over the past several days, chatter about Roloff’s potential move has grown pretty strong, considering he’s spent a lot of time in Arizona.

He’s been signing copies there of his children’s book and even referred to citizens of that state as his “neighbors” in one social media message.

So… if he really moving to The Grand Canyon State?

This is what a Facebook follower asked, to which Matt replied:

I am in the process of purchasing a home in Arizona.:))

So there it is.

Does this mean Roloff is engaged to Caryn Chandler? Or will be soon?

We don’t know.

What does this mean for the long-term future of Little People, Big World?

We really don’t know. And we’re concerned.

The series has centered around Matt and Amy’s life on their farm in Oregon, even in the years following their divorce.

The two have clashed a bit here and there, such as on last week’s fiery episode, but they mostly get along very amicable for a couple who split after 26 years of marriage.

Will TLC renew the show, even if Matt is no longer in the picture?

And how will Matt be content to live so far away from his precious two grandkids?

Again, it’s too early for us to have the answers to these questions.

All we know right now is that Little People, Big World has been on tha air for over a decade and IF it returns for another season, it will clearly look very different.

Would you even want the show back without Matt as a resident on the farm?

Arizona Bride Arrested for DUI on Her Way to Her Own Wedding

Look out, Florida Woman. Arizona Bride is doing what she can to show you up.

A 32-year-old bride named Amber Young was arrested for a DUI after she became involved in a three-vehicle collision.

Police tweeted out a photo and a warning to everyone.

Arizona Bride Arrested for DUI

Do you think that Alanis Morissette has any lyrics to cover this?

Police spokesman Sgt. Chriswell Scott shared the above photo in a now-deleted tweet, along with the mesage:

“A driver was arrested for DUI this AM while driving to her wedding.”

That’s right, folks — her own wedding.

“@MaranaPD officers arrived at OG/Thornydale at approx 1030 reference a three vehicle collision.”

At least one person was taken to the hospital, but it doesn’t sound too serious — for a car accident, anyway.

“One person was transported with minor injuries.”

Scott finished his tweet with a warning.

“Don’t drive impaired, till death do we part doesn’t need any help.”

That tweet has since been deleted. Perhaps he or someone else with the Marana Police Department decided that it was inappropriate.

Champagne from instagram

Now, we can probably read between the lines a little, here.

Most brides don’t drive to their own weddings — and not because they’re drunk.

Certainly, most brides don’t don a wedding dress and then drive themselves — intoxicated or sober — to the wedding location.

Friends, bridesmaids, and family are supposed to help them get into the dress.

Perhaps this woman may have had more than just pre-wedding jitters as a reason to drink.

But stress or misery is no excuse for drinking and driving. That endangers others — it’s not just about you.

Arizona on a Map

It is worth noting that Arizona has some of the strictest DUI laws in the United States.

Sure, the 0.08 blood alcohol limit is pretty standard, but they also consider it illegal to drive if the driver has any sign of impairment whatsoever, even if their alcohol levels are well below the legal threshold.

That said, clearly the police weren’t too hard on Amber Young, because they allowed her to leave after she signed a criminal citation and agreed to appear in court at a later date.

It looks like the police were trying to be nice since it’s apparently her wedding day.

There’s always the chance that she (or other interested parties) decided to postpone the nuptials to a more auspicious day.

Public comments have ranged from condemnation of Young to sympathy for what must have been an already complicated wedding day.

One commenter jokingly condemned the police for stopping her.

“Accident or not she is a woman who was heading to her wedding so no one have the right to stop her(sarcastic).”

Obviously, this was a joke. Also, this commenter has an interesting theory about how the groom generally prepares for a wedding.

“If news agency where to report on men stopped for DUI on wedding day they would be presenting that 24/7.”

We don’t know that there’s any evidence to support that allegation of a sexist double-standard, but we certainly hope that no one is drinking and driving on their wedding day.
