Nelly: I"m Innocent, I Swear I Never Raped Anyone!

Time has not been kind to Nelly.

And, if we’re to believe recent accusations against him, Nelly has not been kind to others in return.

Early yesterday morning, he was arrested for allegedly raping a woman on his tour bus.

He’s currently on tour with Florida Georgia Line, and the arrest happened a few hours after a show in Washington on Friday night.

According to a statement from local police, a woman called 911 at nearly 4:00 AM and reported that Nelly had sexually assaulted her.

After officers arrived on the scene and did some investigating, there was apparently enough evidence to make an arrest, and Nelly was taken into custody.

There wasn’t enough evidence to hold him though, and a few hours later he was released.

His lawyer then made a statement saying that “Nelly is the victim of a completely fabricated allegation.”

“Our initial investigation,” he explained, “clearly establishes the allegation is devoid of credibility and is motivated by greed and vindictiveness.”

“I am confident, once the scurrilous accusation is thoroughly investigated, there will be no charges.”

The lawyer added that “Nelly is prepared to pursue all legal avenues to redress any damage caused by this clearly false allegation.”

So far it’s obviously a pretty serious case of he-said, she-said, right?

But now Nelly is speaking on his own behalf.

Shortly after the news broke of his arrest, he hopped on Twitter to defend himself.

“Let me say that I am beyond shocked that I have been targeted with this false allegation,” he began. “I am completely innocent.”

“I am confident that once the facts are looked at, it will be very clear that I am the victim of a false allegation.”

“I do want to apologize to my loved ones for the embarrassment and for putting myself in a situation where I could be victimized by this false and defaming allegation,” he wrote.

Nelly also thought it was important “to thank my fans for their unwavering support.”

“They know me,” he said. “I assure you I will be vindicated. And I assure you, I will pursue every legal option to address this defaming claim.”

“Thank you.”

And just in case you didn’t follow that statement his lawyer wrote for him, he added “In other words y’all know damm well I ain’t do no dumm S^*t like this..!! Love ..!!!!”

About an hour after making those tweets, he logged back on to clear up an extra bit of confusion.

“To be absolutely clear,” he wrote, “I have not been charged with a crime therefore no bail was required. I was released, pending further investigation.”

At this point, it’s hard to say who’s telling the truth.

Nelly and his team could be right, this woman could have made up this whole story.

But then again, Nelly could be doing his best to cover up his crimes — let’s be real, it’s not exactly unprecedented for a celebrity to use his fame as a way to prey on women like this.

Guess we’ll just have to wait and see how this plays out.

Nick Gordon is Innocent, Tried to Save Bobbi Kristina Brown"s Life, Lawyers Claim

In July of last year, Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away after being found unconscious in the bathtub of her Atlanta-area home and  spending nearly six months in a coma.

Just last week, Bobbi Kristina’s official cause of death was confirmed when her autopsy results were released on what would’ve been her 23rd birthday.

But while the coroner concluded that the troubled daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown passed away as a result of drug intoxication and accidental water immersion, many still have suspicions about possible foul play, most of which center around Bobbi’s boyfriend, Nick Gordon.

There are some who believe Gordon murdered Bobbi, and others who believe he simply didn’t do enough to try and save her life.

Today, Gordon’s lawyers issued the following statement to People magazine in hopes of putting a stop to the constant rumors about their client:

“Nick Gordon’s life has been tumultuous since January of 2015 when he lost the love of his life. On top of being prohibited from visiting Bobbi Kristina at the hospital for the last six months of her life, Nick has been publicly humiliated for more than a year.

“Throughout that time, the Fulton County District Attorney’s office has tried to make Nick a murderer despite having clear and convincing evidence that Bobbi Kristina’s death was nothing more than a tragic accident, evidence that the District Attorney’s office fought to seal and conceal from the public rather than allowing her fans to know the truth.

“The truth is that Nick tried to save Bobbi Kristina’s life. The truth is that Nick cooperated with law enforcement since day one. The truth is that no one loved Bobbi Kristina more than Nick and no one has suffered more as a result of her death than Nick.”

The statement concluded with a call to the Fulton County DA to publicly exonerate Gordon, as a 13-month investigation has revealed that there is “simply no evidence of any wrongdoing.”

Bobbi Kristina’s father, Bobbi Brown, has stated that he plans to continue to pursue a wrongful death civil suit against Gordon.

Kanye West Thinks Bill Cosby is INNOCENT

Well, this is one way to get attention for your new album…

Two days before his latest record comes out, Kanye West stirred up a whole bunch of controversy on Tuesday evening by Tweeting just a few simple words:

“BILL COSBY INNOCENT !!!!!!!!!!” the rapper wrote on social media.

The husband of Kim Kardashian didn’t elaborate or follow up in anyway, instead proceeding to write Tweets about LeBron James’ new sneaker and the booth in his recording studio.

West, of course, is referring to the legendary comedian’s ongoing scandal in which Cosby is accused of sexual assaulting over 50 fifth women.

Cosby was arrested in late December, with most stars applauding the action.

Heck, Kanye himself rapped in the new track “Facts” about Cosby, sounding a very different tone than he did in this most recent Tweet.

“Do anybody feel bad for Bill Cosby? Did he forget names just like Steve Harvey?” Kanye asked.

The artist, of course, is no stranger to controversy or to speaking whatever is on his mind.

But this viewpoint was immediately meant by a harsh rebuke by followers on social media. Including some famous ones.

“Kanye!! You can’t be for real. FIFTY WOMEN. With nothing to gain thanks to a statute of limitations ON RAPE. Oy,” Sarah Silverman Tweeted.

Comedian Billy Eichner agreed, though he took a more humorous route: “Are we sure Kanye isn’t just a character from Zoolander?

And Scandal star Josh Malina also jumped in, writing online: “KANYE WEST DELUDED !!!!!!!!!!”

What do YOU think of Kanye’s stance and of the Cosby case in general?

Is he guilty? Or is he REALLY guilty?

Steven Avery Issues Statement to Supporters: I Am Innocent!

Even if you haven’t watched Netflix’s wildly popular documentary series Making a Murderer, you’re probably at least passingly familiar with the strange story of its subject, Steven Avery.

Steven Avery

After being falsely convicted of sexual assault in 1985, Avery served 18 years behind bars before his conviction was overturned on the strength of new DNA evidence.

Before he was able to follow through with his planned $ 36 million civil suit against law enforcement officials in Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, Avery was arrested for the 2005 murder of Teresa Halbach.

Following a controversial trial that prompted countless allegations of corruption, Avery was found guilty and has been behind bars ever since.

Bizarrely, prison officials have prevented Avery from speaking to the press in the weeks since Making a Murderer renewed the public’s interest in his case, but the 53-year-old has found ways to make his voice heard.

Avery has filed an appeal, and he may soon get a chance to testify on his own behalf, but in the meantime, his new lawyer, Kathleen Zellner, is doing the speaking for him.

Last week, a letter that Avery wrote to a local reporter was published in a Wisconsin newspaper and quickly went viral.

Perhaps noting the overwhelmingly favorable response online, Avery decided to issue his first formal statement since Murderer aired.

Unable to address the public directly, Avery apparently passed a handwritten note to Zellner during their most recent visit.

She posted a photo of the note on her Twitter page on January 29. It reads simply:

“To my supporters: I want every forensic test possible done b/c I am innocent.:

Along with the image of the note, Zellner tweeted, “Third visit WCC: SA thrilled about chance of new forensic testing — like innocent men always are. #MakingAMurderer.”

The same day the note was posted, Zellner was interviewed for a Dateline NBC special about the Avery case, in which she stated that she’s confident that advances in forensic science will exonerate her client.
