Kevin Hart Challenges Celebrities to Donate to Texas
By now, most of you will have heard about the downright awful Hurricane Harvey, which has ravaged the city of Houston and left the place flooded.
Millions of people are currently without shelter or safety as a result of the violent hurricane. Naturally, the celebrity world has not stayed silent about it.
Kevin Hart has been leading the charge to get celebrities to part with some cash in order to set up relief efforts for the people affected by one of the biggest natural disasters in recent memory.
Over the weekend he called out the likes of Beyonce, Jay Z, and Chris Rock to donate money to the people of Houston. And yesterday, he made it clear that his efforts were not over.
“Today, I’m calling out more [friends],” Hart said. “Instead of donating $ 25,000, I did $ 50,000.”
“I call out T.I., I call out Nelly, my boy Usher, Ludacris, the rest of the Houston Rockets,” he continued.
“I call out my man Chris Brown, I call out Drake.”
Hart added he is begging “simply anybody right now who’s in a powerful position who can impact this issue through social media. Let’s really try to save some lives.”
The video was accompanied by an equally forceful caption.

Chris Brown responded to the video by confirming he had donated $ 100,000 to the relief efforts but noted that he did not donate via the Red Cross.
“Kevin Hart, I accept your challenge,” the singer said.
“We need to come together. I’m donating $ 100,000. So man, this is for everybody in Texas, the relief and everything. I implore and encourage everybody else, who can change and make a change for this, to please donate and help out.”
Beyonce confirmed to The Houston Chronicle that she was trying to find ways to help the people affected by the freak storm.
“My heart goes out to my hometown, Houston, and I remain in constant prayer for those affected and for the rescuers who have been so brave and determined to do so much to help,” she said.
She continued, “I am working closely with my team at BeyGOOD as well as my pastor (Rudy Rasmus at St. John’s in downtown Houston) to implement a plan to help as many as we can.”
The hurricane has been a horrific incident for everyone considered. After buildings were destroyed and citizens were left stranded, emergency services urged them to hang around on rooftops and wait for help.
According to reports, there have been five deaths linked to the storm.

Ray Rice: I"ll Donate My ENTIRE SALARY to Charity If An NFL Team Signs Me!
Back in 2014, shocking footage of then-Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice punching his wife, Janay Palmer, was obtained by TMZ.
Though league officials were previously aware that a violent incident involving Rice and Palmer had occurred, the three-time Pro Bowler was initially punished with a modest two-game suspension.
However, when the footage of Rice brutally knocking out his then-fiancee went public, the Ravens terminated his contract, and league commissioner Roger Goodell announced a change in NFL policy with regard to domestic violence charges.
Rice has made efforts to atone for his horrific act, but it seems that the incident may have effectively ended his career.
Now, Rice is making what seems to be a last-ditch effort to get signed by an NFL team in time for the 2016 season.
In an interview with USA Today, the 29-year-old pledged to donate his entire salary to charity if he lands a new contract:
“All the scrutiny that I’ve got, it was deserved, because domestic violence is a horrible thing,” Rice says.
“Me donating my salary is something that’ll be from the heart for me. I only want to play football so I can end it the right way for my kids and for the people that really believed in me.”
He added that the pledge is not being offered as an incentive, but rather as proof to the league and its fans of how much he’s changed:
“I’m not saying I’d be [donating the salary] to get on the field, but it’s something that will show where my heart is. My heart is about finishing the right way and helping people along the way.”
As a seventh-year veteran, Rice’s minimum salary would be $ 885,000.
Having not set foot on an NFL field for the past two seasons, Rice stated in a recent interview that he’s aware of the fact that his window of opportunity for a comeback is closing rapidly.
So this may not be Rice’s attempt to bribe his way back into the league, as some detractors have claimed, but it’s certainly an act of desperation from a man who knows he has few options left.

Christina Aguilera to Donate Proceeds Oo New Single to Orlando Shooting Victims
Christina Aguilera has announced that she will be donating the proceeds her new song, “Change,” to the victims of the Orlando shooting.
It’s been almost one week since the massacre in Pulse nightclub, with Christina extending her thoughts to the victims with this nice gesture.
“The horrific tragedy that occurred in Orlando continues to weigh heavily on my mind. I am sending so much love and so many prayers to the victims and their families,” the star, 35, wrote in a heartfelt letter posted late Thursday night on her website.
“Like so many, I want to help be part of the change this world needs to make it a beautiful inclusive place where humanity can love each other freely and passionately.”
The world has reeled in the aftermath of Omar Marteen’s shocking attack on the LGBT community that claimed the lives of 49 people.
It’s been a horrible week in the news for Florida.
Starting with Christina Grimmie’s murder last week, the news just seemed to get worse for the State.
Aguilera co-wrote the song with Fancy and Flo Reutter.
For the next three months, all of the proceeds from the track will be donated to the National Compassion Fund to directly benefit the Orlando shooting victims and their families.
The label and publisher will also donate their side of the proceeds.
It really is a beautiful single that tugs at the heart strings.
“Waiting for a change to set us free / Waiting for the day when you can be you and I can be me / Waiting for hope to come around / Waiting for the day when hate is lost and love is found / Waiting for a change,” she sings in the chorus.

Christina Grimmie: Thousands of Fans Donate to GoFundMe Campaign For Slain Singer"s Family
On Friday night, The Voice contestant Christina Grimmie was shot and killed while greeting fans following a concert in Orlando.
She was just 22 years old.
Members of Christina’s family have shared their grief in heartbreaking social media messages, and while nothing can heal the wounds of such a senseless tragedy, they can hopefully find some comfort in the fact that their loss is shared by fans from all corners of the globe.
In addition to her prodigious talent, Christina connected with millions through her tremendous energy and spirit, and when the opportunity arose to show her family how much of an impact the singer made in her brief time on Earth, fans answered the call en masse.
Christina’s manager, Brian Teefey, created a GoFundMe page to support the Grimmie family in this dark time.
The goal was to raise $ 4,000 to help them cover funeral expenses.
That goal was reached within minutes of the page going live, but the outpouring of support didn’t stop there.
At this point, less than 48 hours since the campaign began, over 4,500 fans have raised nearly $ 170,000.
Teefey, who had worked with Grimmie from the very start of her career, posted the following message on the page:
“Words cannot begin to describe the pain I am feeling. I learned this business through the eyes of a father and Christina was like a second daughter to me.
“All I wanted to do was assist her in achieving her musical dreams while protecting her from the pitfalls associated with the business.
“I never could have imagined this horrific event being one of the pitfalls needing to be avoided. In Christina’s honor I have created a Go Fund Me page to assist her family in their time of need.
“As family Mother, Father, and Brother made the ultimate family sacrifice to support Christina on her musical journey. They did nothing but love her and support her as family the best they knew how, the only worry I want them to have at this point is that of recovery.”

Rob Kardashian to Donate Kidney to Lamar Odom?!
We never though we’d say this. But the Kardashians aren’t a**holes all of the time. (Just most of the time).
Rob Kardashian is reportedly willing to donate one of this kidneys in an attempt to save Lamar Odom’s life. Many fans have offered to donate a kidney to Lamar, but Rob wants to keep it in the family.
For NBA Star Odom needs a kidney transplant. And for most people on the transplant list, the wait could be years.
However, if Rob is a compatible donor, Lamar might not have to endure the grueling wait-list for a new kidney.
A source told The Daily Mail, “Rob is willing to do whatever it takes to help Lamar recover. If that means donating a kidney then so be it, Rob has a big heart and he’s willing to step up to help his friend.”
Though it isn’t certain if Rob and Lamar are a compatible match for an organ donation, the source claims, “Rob is willing to undergo medical tests to find out.”
Three days after he was found unresponsive, he woke from a coma. But he has suffered a number of strokes and damage to his lungs and kidneys.
In the weeks after Lamar’s near-fatal drug overdose at a Nevada brothel, the basketball star has been undergoing kidney dialysis.
To donate a kidney, Rob will have to submit to a number of extensive tests. Despite Rob’s rapid weight gain, he is healthy enough to donate a kidney.
Rob has been exercising and losing the weight that he has gained over the last few years. Maybe his weight loss journey will save two lives: his own and Lamar’s.
Still, Lamar has more than health issues to deal with right now. Odom test positive for cocaine, which could lead to prosecution according to Nevada’s Nye County sheriff Sharon Wehrly.

Lamar Odom: Fans Offer to Donate Kidneys to Ailing NBA Star
Lamar Odom may have recovered miraculously after nearly dying from an overdose last week, but the former NBA star is still far from out of the woods.
The 35-year-old has emerged from his coma, but he’s still in a dangerous place, as several of his organs are reportedly not functioning as they should be.
Just last night, it was reported that Odom is in a “fragile mental state” after having undergone several invasive procedures in a short period of time.
Hospital sources say Odom’s most severe issues stem from damage to his kidneys. He remains hooked up to dialysis machines and will almost certainly require a transplant at some point.
Fortunately, a legion of devoted fans has Lamar’s back – and maybe his kidneys.
Yes, TMZ is reporting that dozens of supporters have contacted Odom and Khloe Kardashian through social media in order to offer up their kidneys.
Naturally, many have jokingly (we hope) tweeted that they’d like to sell Lamar a kidney, but even more have simply provided their contact information and blood type in hopes of helping to save Odom’s life.
Reps for Odom have not yet replied to any of the offers, but there may come a time when Lamar will need to reach out to a fan and accept the gift of life.
