Jinger Duggar Shares New Baby Pic, Inspiration Behind Daughter"s Name

Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo are brand new parents.

Just a week ago, the Counting On star welcomed her very first child into the world, a daughter named Felicity.

In the days since, Vuolo has made one thing very clear…

… having a small baby at home is tiring!

The new father shared a couple memes on Monday that joked (but not really) about how coffee is now his best friend and how he’ll never see sleep ever again.

Those made us laugh, but not Jinger is here to make us squeal in delight,

First, the reality star shared a fresh photo of her child, which we’ve gone ahead and also shared ourself above. She’s so very precious!

Second, she opened up at length to Us Weekly about various aspects of (very early) motherhood.

Before we get to that, however, a few relevant facts:

– Jinger and Jeremy got married in 2016.

– At 4:37 a.m. on July 19, the couple became parents to Felicity Nicole Vuolo.

– She was born in San Antonio, Texas.

– She weighed 8 lbs, 3 ounces at the time and measured 19.5 inches in length.

What have these first few days been like as a mother?

“It’s been so incredible,” Jinger explains to Us Weekly. “We can’t stop staring at her adorable little face!”

Sister Jessa Seewald and mother Michelle Duggar are currently in Texas to lend a hand to the parents, something for whih Jinger is grateful.

“I have been so thankful to have so much great help around me, giving me time to rest and recover,” she says.

And what about that baby name?

Was Felicity named after the former Keri Russell drama on The WB?

No.

It “just felt right,” Jinger says, adding that she and Jeremy “loved the name Felicity from the moment we thought of it several months ago.

“The name itself means intense happiness or supreme joy. It was also the name of a young Christian girl long ago who valiantly stood strong for her faith.”

Wow, who knew?!?

We love it.

Jinger also thinks that her child resembles her husband and has confirmed that the little girl’s nursey has a southwest theme.

Said Jeremy upon meeting Felicity last week:

“Both mom and baby are healthy, doing great, and resting well. We are very thankful for her safe arrival and look forward to life as parents!”

And, in this case, “God is gracious to entrust us with such a wonderful gift,” gushes Jinger.

Kevin McHale Comes Out as Gay, Cites Ariana Grande as Inspiration

Kevin McHale has an announcement to make.

And a singer to thank.

The 29-year old actor, best known for having played the role of Artie Abrams throughout the duration of Glee on Fox, took to Twitter on Friday and confirmed his homosexuality.

The star says he’s gay.

And he’s provided an unexpected shout-out to Ariana Grande for giving him the confidence to make this declaration.

“#NoTearsLeftToCry is gayer than me and I ACCEPT. Ty @ArianaGrande,” McHale Tweeted this afternoon, adding:

“I’d like to request a remix with @JanetJackson. ty for ur time. @ArianaGrande.”

Fans and television viewers have speculated about McHale’s personal life and sexual preference ever since he started sharing pictures of himself with someone on social media.

Someone many presumed to be his boyfriend, that is.

Kevin McHale announces

McHale did not reference this individual or this cause for speculation in his post.

But he did express his affection for Grande’s new single on his Instagram Story.

“There goes my life,” he captioned a screenshot of the song.

“No Tears Left to Cry” is the first track released by Grande since the Manchester bombing last year.

The young artist was on stage in May when an explosive was detonated near the exits of Manchester Arena in England, killing over 20 concert attendees.

“Ain’t got no tears in my body/I ran out, but boy, I like it, I like it, I like it,” she sings in the single, adding in the chorus:

Right now, I’m in a state of mind/I wanna be in, like, all the time.

Ain’t got no tears left to cry/ So I’m pickin’ it up, pickin’ it up (oh yeah).

I’m lovin’, I’m livin’, I’m pickin’ it up.

McHale, meanwhile, has been showered with love and praise on social media since the tweet that announced his sexuality.

“Y’all have no clue how much I am living for this coming out if that’s what it is,” one fan tweeted.

Another added: “No heartfelt speeches, just normalcy. Isn’t it refreshing?”

McHale played AIDS activist Bobbi Campbell in the ABC miniseries “When We Rise.”

Prior to Glee, he had appeared on episodes of The Office, True Blood and Zoey 101.

We salute McHale for coming out, as he’s now joined the following celebrities that have made similar announcements over the years:

UPDATE: We’ve learned that McHale’s rumored boyfriend is actor Austin McKenzie.

He also had a role in “When We Rise.”

Jake LaMotta Dies; Boxer, Raging Bull Inspiration Was 95

Jake LaMotta, the boxer who provided the inspiration for the classic Martin Scorsese film Raging Bull, has passed away at the age of 95.

Sources close to LaMotta say that he died peacefully at his home in Arizona, surrounded by loved ones.

Inside the ring, the 1949-51 middleweight champion was known for his tenacity and his ability to endure punishment that would send weaker fighters to the mat.

LaMotta’s six bouts with Sugar Ray Robinson are the stuff of boxing legend, and though LaMotta was victorious in just one of the contests, Robinson frequently stated that he was in awe of his opponent’s ability.

“I never fought a fighter as strong as he is,” Robinson said in one post-fight interview.

Sadly, these days, LaMotta is as well known for his personal struggles as for the successes he enjoyed inside the ring.

Marred by a violent temper, mutliple stints in prison, and allegations of fight fixing, LaMotta’s life was never easy, but his many challenges attracted the attention of one of Hollywood’s most legendary filmmakers.

Martin Scorsese’s 1980 masterpiece Raging Bull is a warts-and-all portrayal of LaMotta that’s widely regarded as one of the most important cinematic works of the past fifty years.

“When I saw the film, I was upset,” LaMotta said after watching the movie for the fist time.

“I kind of look bad in it. Then I realized it was true. That’s the way it was. I was a no-good bastard. I realize it now. It’s not the way I am now, but the way I was then.”

Despite his relative obscurity as a fighter, one would be hard-pressed to name another athlete who so effectively captured the imagination of the enterntainment world.

In addition to Raging Bull, LaMotta was the subject of a documentary, a stage production about his relationship with his seventh wife, and a controversial pseudo-sequel to the Scorsese film entitled The Bronx Bull.

LaMotta even got dabbled in acting, starring in a one-man show based on his car and making cameos in the classic film The Hustler and the popular TV series Car 54 Where Are You?

LaMotta was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1990.

In 2002, The Ring magazine ranked him as one of the 80 best fighters of the last 80 years.

“He was a great man, sensitive and had eyes that danced right up to the end. I love him, God rest his soul,” his wife said in an interview today.

Paraphrasing an oft-quoted line from Raging Bull, she added, “And he never went down!”

Ashley Graham Shows Off Cellulite, Is a Total Inspiration

How wonderful is Ashley Graham?

She’s absolutely gorgeous, she poses in bikinis often, and she’s so very positive about her body — and about all bodies. So we’d say she’s pretty much the most wonderful.

Ashley first came to the world’s attention when she appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Edition in 2015, the very first plus size model to do so.

And ever since then, she’s been a ray of light in this dark, dark world.

For her latest act of greatness, Ashley shared a photo of herself that was taken during her recent vacation to the Philippines.

The photo is focused on her belly and her thighs, and you can see her cellulite. And the message that she sent along with the photo is just amazing.

“I work out,” she wrote. “I do my best to eat well. I love the skin I’m in. And I’m not ashamed of a few lumps, bumps or cellulite … and you shouldn’t be either.”

She added the hashtags “beauty beyond size” and “love the skin you’re in” for good measure.

What a lovely message, right?

The idea of loving yourself no matter what shouldn’t be revolutionary, but sadly, it is. Ashley is obviously doing her best to combat that notion, but still, you know the haters came out to play in the comment section.

One person told Ashley that “You may be beautiful you may be kind but being overweight is extremely unhealthy.”

Another said “Cut out sugar, eat more good fats limit carbs workout regularly your welcome.”

Another person had the nerve to suggest plastic surgery, saying that “If you want it gone it’s great plastic surgeons out there and new technology thats awesome to get ride of the cellulite etc.”

One person got on her very highest horse to say that “Visceral fat surrounding your organs is not healthy if your heavyset on the outside with cellulite you definitely have issues on the inside.”

“Glad she works out happy about that everyone should but still the proof is in the pudding.”

Other commenters kept it simple and hateful with statements like “Gross” and “Disgusting.”

What’s wrong with these people? It’s clear that they missed Ashley’s point almost as hard as they missed basic grammar lessons in elementary school.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with being comfortable in your own skin, and it’s so disappointing that these people are going out of their way to make her feel like there is.

Luckily, the positive messages far outweighed the negative.

“I have dealt with body shaming/doubts all of my life and to see women like you embrace our beautiful bodies mean so much to me,” one person wrote. “Ashley, you are my hero.”

“I’m so happy you post stuff like this,” another told her. “You are so real and so beautiful and you make me fearless. Thank you for being you.”

One woman said that “The truth is, I AM ashamed of a few bumps and cellulite. Thank you, thank you, thank you for reminding me that I deserve to love myself right now, just as I am.”

Another delightfully pointed out that “You can’t spell cellulite without U Lit honey!”

And so there you have it. Ashley Graham is an amazing human being who does so much for so many people, and she should never, ever stop.

Also, haters should spend less time hating and more time working on defrosting their frozen, rotten hearts.

Nathan Barksdale Dies; Drug Kingpin and Inspiration For The Wire Was 54

Nathan Barksdale – the Baltimore drug kingpin who served as the inspiration for Avon Barksdale and several other characters in the acclaimed HBO series The Wire – has passed away.

He was 54 years old.

Nathan Barksdale

While running his city’s largest heroin distribution ring in the 1980s, Barksdale was shot more than 20 times and had to have his right leg amputated below the knee.

Shortly thereafter, he was arrested on assault charges and sentenced to 15 years behind bars.

It was during his trial that Barksdale first caught the attention of Baltimore Sun reported David Simon, who went to create The Wire.

After qualifying for early release in 1994, Barksdale became a spokesman the anti-violence initiative Safe Streets.

He also worked closely with the cast and production crew of The Wire in helping to bring the story of Baltimore’s rampant drug and violent crime problems to the screen.

Barksdale was even the subject of a documentary about his life and rehabilitation that was released at the height of the show’s popularity.

“In real life he was one of the most notorious and resilient gangster drug kingpins Baltimore has ever seen,” says the film’s narrator at one point. “He was a magnet for violence.”

Sadly – yet somewhat appropriately – Barksdale was ensnared in a DEA wiretap in 2014 and sentenced to four years behind bars.

He died in federal prison earlier this week.

Along with Melvin Williams who served as the basis for several characters and played the character of the Deacon on the show, Barksdale is the second Wire inspiration to prematurely pass away in past year.

Kylie Jenner Throws It WAY Back, Reveals Inspiration For Lip Kit

The Kiley Jenner lip kit is one of the more successful side hustles in the long history of Kardashian-Jenner money-making schemes.

Even though Kylie’s been accused of ripping customers off, the kits are still flying off the shelves, so it’s only right that she observed throwback Thursday by revealing the inspiration behind one of her most popular colors:

Yes, there’s a chance you’ve smeared something on your face that was inspired by that chihuahua. Allow us to explain:

According to Kylie, that pup is named Dolce (because of course Kylie’s first dog was named Dolce).

So when it came time to name her lip kit colors, Dolce K was the first thing that came to mind.

That doesn’t mean that this is a “before” picture, and your lips will explode like someone experiencing the effects of a serious food allergy if you use Kylie’s products.

No, you’ll need “temporary fillers” (which seem to be pretty permanent) for that to happen.

Anyway, we always appreciate an old school pic from the time before fame forever changed the Kard clan’s lives (and faces).

As for Kylie’s overpriced liner-and-gloss packages, she says she has a new lip kit shade debuting in the next few weeks.

Apparently it’s pink, which we would’ve thought would’ve been one of the original colors.

But what do we know. Obviously, Kylie is the lip expert.

Hillary Clinton on Kim Kardashian: What an Inspiration!

While Donald Trump aims to alienate pretty much every voter base out there (while growing his lead among GOP Presidential candidates somehow), Hillary Clinton is taking a different tact.

She"s going hard after the Instagram user vote.

How else to explain Clinton"s words of praise for Kim Kardashian?

“I really enjoyed meeting her. I really found her to be warm and very personable," said Hillary to Mario Lopez of Kim, with whom she posed at a fundraiser last month.

In a sit-down with the Extra host, Clinton also touched on Kanye West and how Kardashian interacted with daughter North West.

"She had a nice way of introducing her husband, as if I didn’t know who he was and I enjoy seeing her with her daughter.”

The Democratic front-runner went on to say that “all of us in our own ways can be inspirational or aspirational for people… and I certainly think many people see her as someone who gets up every day and tries to figure out how to make that day successful.”

What advice does Clinton have for Kanye, who claims he"s running for President in 2020?

Watch this interview to find out!
