Jana Duggar: Is She Being Forced Into Dating Nathan Bates?!

For years now, Jana Duggar courtship rumors have been circulating non-stop on social media.

Generally, fans want what they feel is best for Jana, but at times the tone of the discussion can get more than a little overbearing.

Case in point, the current obsession with Jana and Nathan Bates.

The Duggars have been close friends with the Bates family for several years, and the two clans share an awful lot in common.

The Bates also star in a reality series that focuses on their fundamentalist lifestyle and the difficulties they experience as a family of 21.

The Bates may have never reached the same level of fame as the Duggars, but it’s not hard to see 

As you may recall, fans were previously obsessed with the idea of Jana dating Lawson Bates.

Lawson and Jana are slightly closer in age, but both parties long ago made it clear that they’re not romantically involved.

And so, fans have shifted their focus to Lawson’s younger brother, 24-year-old Nathan, and the Duggar discussion boards on Reddit are currently buzzing with speculaiton about the potential couple.

The talk comes on the heels of reports of Jana courting Caleb Williams.

That relationship never materialized, so now fans are forcing Jana and Nathan together.

There’s no rhyme or reason to it, and it’s hard to imagine that Jana isn’t at least a little creeped out by the whole thing.

Some fans have skipped right over the hope that Jana and Nathan will get together and proceeded directly to expressing their disapproval of the relationship.

A relationship that, again, doesn’t actually exist in the real world.

“He’s younger and most likely less mature,” said one Reddit user.

“I think Jana is too smart for Nathan Bates. He seems like a nice guy, but not the brightest bulb,” commented another.

It’s enough to make you wonder if Jana has anything to say about her own love life.

While she hasn’t spoken on Nathan directly, she recently made it clear that she’s unattached.

“There have been different guys come along and ask but yeah it’s just not… they haven’t been the right one,” said Jana.

“I’m not just out to get married to the first one that comes along.”

So there you have it.

That should be enough to silence the rumors on social media … for about 15 minutes.

Jana Duggar: "Creepy" Valentine"s Day Gift Grosses Fans Out

In recent months, a slew of Jana Duggar courtship rumors piqued the interest of fans who have spent years awaiting news that she eldest Duggar daughter has found Mr. Right.

Unfortunately, it seems all that optimism was unfounded, as the Duggars recently confirmed that Jana is still single with a gesture that some fans are describing as “creepy” and “weird.”

On Monday, the family posted the above photo of Jana with a massive floral arrangement.

Fans were initially excited, believing that the roses were a Valentine’s Day gift from a suitor.

However, a caption written by Jana’s parents, Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar, revealed that that wasn’t quite the case.

“Jana received SO MANY beautiful valentine flowers from her brothers on Valentine’s day!” the caption read.

Yes, it seems Jana’s brothers sent her flowers, a gesture that some fans found heart-warming and others founs super gross.

Some fans were simply disappointed that Jana hasn’t actually found the man of her dreams:

“Dang….thought she had a special guy in her life for a second,” commented one.

“I thought she had someone,” wrote another.

Others felt that Jana’s brothers overstepped their bounds by sending a 

“That’s a little creepy,” wrote one follower.

“Sweet but a little weird to get flowers from your brothers!!!” remarked another.

“She helped to raise most of those boys. Wouldn’t you give flowers to your mother figure? How is it creepy?” wrote one Duggar defender.

Another fan blamed Jana’s parents and their strict courtship rules for the fact that that 27-year-old is still single.

“How is she waiting for mister right when she is not allowed to go anywhere, the guy has to be approved by Jim Bob. Mister right isn’t going to just come knocking on the door or drop out of the sky,” reads one comment.

Believe it or not, the Duggars love Valentine’s Day, and the tradition of single family members exchanging gifts is a long-standing one.

This year, however, fans had hoped that the Counting On clan would mark the occasion by revealing that Jana had finally entered a relationship.

Reports that Jana is dating Caleb Williams have been all over social media in recent months.

While Jana never came out and confirmed the rumors, she also never expressly denied them, which was enough to give some fans hope.

Unfortunately, it now looks as though the “Cinderella Duggar” is still very much a single woman.

Hey, at least she gets a nice floral arrangement in exchange for all the work she does around the compound.

Jana Duggar To Be "Married Off" For Ratings?!

Last month, Jana Duggar turned 28.

Obviously, she’s still very young, and she has plenty of time to marry and start a family.

Now if only her father saw things that way…

As you may know, rumors of Jana entering a courtship have been circulating non-stop for several years now.

And yet, the so-called “Cinderella Duggar” remains single.

The latest round of reports had Jana dating Caleb Williams, but now it appears that either the rumors were bogus, or the relationship fizzled, as Jana is once again a confirmed bachelorette.

But for how much longer?

It seems fans on the Duggar message boards on Reddit are convinced that Jim Bob knows exactly when Jana will get married –  he just might not have told her yet.

“Does anyone think Jim Bob is holding off on marrying Jana to create tension and just when people are getting sick of Counting On, he will marry her off in a royal wedding-type, hyped spectacle?” wrote one fan this week, prompting a lively discussion on the matter.

There’s plenty going on in the Duggars’ world these days.

In fact, there are so many pregnancies, courtships, and weddings in the works that even diehard fans are having trouble keeping track.

But all those developments haven’t led to increased viewership, and ratings have been on a steady decline for over two years now.

One fan on Reddit described the most recent season of Counting On as “incredibly boring,” and it seems he’s not alone.

So it’s not hard to see why now would be the perfect time for big news such as a Jana courtship.

But the idea that she’ll announce a relationship soon in order to boost ratings is entirely based on fan speculation, right?

Well, not entirely…

In the past, when he was asked about his eldest daughter’s single status, Jim Bob Duggar would give evasive answers.

These days, he’s a bit more forthcoming –  and it seems he’s just as eager as the fans to see Jana find Mr. Right.

In his most recent interview, Jim Bob was asked point blank about his feelings about his daughter’s dating prospects.

Rather than lashing out against the creepiness of such a question, Jim Bob calmly replied that he’s been “praying about that one.”

In other words, he very much wants Jana to get married ASAP.

And in the Duggars’ world, what Jim Bob says goes.

So you can expect an announcement at a time when it will be most advantageous to the family brand.

Jana Duggar: Has She Cut Off All Contact With Josh Duggar?!

It’s been two years since the Josh Duggar sex scandals shattered the wholesome image his family had worked so hard to cultivate over the years.

While a surprisingly large segment of the Duggars’ fan base has demonstrated a willingness to forgive Josh’s egregious crimes, some members of his family might not be so willing to move on.

Josh molested five young girls–four of whom were his sisters–and yet he was able to avoid criminal prosecution as a result of intervention from his parents. 

Remarkably, some of his victims–most notably Jill and Jessa Duggar–have publicly forgiven their older brother.

Others who remember the nightmarish atmosphere of the “Duggar compound” in those days have not been so quick to move on.

Many fans now believe that Jana Duggar has continued to keep Josh at arm’s length, even as those around her have been quick to forget his appalling transgressions.

Unlike her sisters, Jana has not spoken publicly about the scandal, and it is unknown if she was one of Josh’s victims.

But as a surrogate mother to her younger siblings, it stands to reason that Jana would continue to be wary of her predatory older brother.

A video uploaded this week by Josh’s sister, Anna Duggar, has many Duggar obsessives wondering if Jana recently cut off contact with Josh, possibly due to a new transgression.

The clip, which features Josh and Anna’s daughter Meredith, seems designed to tug at Jana’s heartstrings.

“Do you miss Jana?” Anna asks from off camera.

“She’s far away,” Meredith responds.

Apparently believing that Jana is on the phone, Meredith says, “I can’t hear her… Jana, where are you?”

Needless to say, many viewers were moved by the video.

“She is so sweet that made me cry,” commented one follower.

“Awww quick FaceTime Jana because this baby looks too sad!” remarked another.

The comments section quickly erupted with speculation as to why Meredith hasn’t seen her favorite aunt in so long.

Many proposed that Meredith may be missing Jana because the 28-year-old has estranged herself from Josh and, by necessity, his family.

It would be nice to see someone in his inner circle refuse to let Josh off the hook, but unfortunately, it doesn’t seem that that’s what’s happening here.

The Duggars are currently in Australia, and it seems Jana made the trip along with most of the rest of her family.

In all likelihood, she’ll resume regular contact with Josh and his family upon her return to the States.

It’s bad news for those who would like to see Josh endure some sort of comeuppance.

But on the bright side, it’s good news for little Meredith.

Jim Bob Duggar: I Can"t Believe Jana Is Still Single!

Last week, Jana Duggar celebrated her birthday.

Along with her twin brother, John David, Jana turned 28–not a milestone age, but a very big deal to Duggar fans, nonetheless.

Unfortunately for Jana, her birthday is a subject of fascination for reasons that aren’t entirely celebratory,

Jana is still single, which is a fact that seems to astonish many fans of her famous family.

John David is unattached as well, but as a man, his love life–or lack thereof–is not as heavily scrutinized.

Women in the Duggar family are taught from a young age that procreation is their primary reason for being.

Several of Jana’s younger sisters have already married and started families of their own, which is one of the reasons that fans are baffled by the fact that Jana remains childless.

It’s an unexpected situation, to be sure, and while there are many rumored reasons circulating around social media, it seems Jim Bob is just as baffled as anyone else when it comes to why Jana is still single.

Over the weekend, Jim Bob appeared at an event organized by the Institute for Basic Life Principles in Kilsyth South Baptist Church in Kilsyth South, Victoria.

Amateur video from the event shows the Duggar patriarch uncomfortably joking about Jana’s refusal to marry.

“And Jana is–actually, back in the U.S., it’s her birthday,” Jim Bob says in video of the speech.

“Jana is 28-years-old and still single, so she’s still praying about the one.”

On Reddit, most Duggar fans were quick to defend Jim Bob’s sense of humor.

“I wasn’t there but I assumed it was just a dad joke. He makes a lot of them especially on the old episodes of the original show,” commented one user.

“Women have a biological clock. Men generally don’t. It’s more notable for a woman to be single and childless after a certain age. This is not unique to the Duggars,” wrote another.

At least one fan, however, was quick to point out the insensitivity of Jim Bob’s remarks:

“What I do wonder is–what’s Jim Bob’s angle with that joke? Is it just a standard-issue dorky dad joke that he’s too oblivious to realize could be seen as hurtful?” the Redditor wrote.

“Does he know it’s a sensitive subject, so he’s trying to diffuse it with humor? Is ol’ JB a little salty that lovely, talented Jana isn’t playing along with the real Duggar family business: marrying off its children for profit?”

We may never know just what’s going on in Jim Bob’s head–and that’s probably a good thing.

Jana Duggar Courtship Rumors: A Comprehensive List

Today marks the 28th birthday of twins Jana and John David Duggar.

Of course, in a rare reversal for the family, it"s the male who"s being pushed to the margins, and the female who"s getting all the attention.

But don"t worry, the reasons for that are completely sexist, in keeping with the Duggars" reputation.

You see, Jana is still single.

This is almost unheard of for a family in which girls are taught from a young age that procreation is their sole reason for being.

So with every birthday, the moaning and hand-wringing from the Duggar faithful becomes more intense, as does the need to believe that Jana is in a secret courtship that will soon bear fruit … and by "fruit," of course, we mean children.

Here"s a complete list of all the men Jana has been erroneously linked to over the years.

1. Single Cinderella

Dubbed the “Cinderella Duggar” due to the number of household chores she performs, Jana stayed at home to help care for her siblings as her brothers and sisters flew the coop to start families of their own.

2. Pushed Out of the Nest?

Sources close to the family say that from the time she was of child-bearing age, Jana’s family has been attempting to marry her off to any available man who crosses her path. So we guess this marks her tenth anniversary of being creepily objectified by her own parents!

3. Or Shackled to the Compound?

Of course, there are those who claim the opposite–that Jana has been forced to remain at home to help care for her siblings. Frankly, we’d believe either terrible rumor!

4. Either Way…

…the rumors keep flying, and they probably won’t let up until Jana either gets married or releases a statement proclaiming that she plans to remain single for the rest of her life.

5. The Pressure Increases

The public pressure on Jana to hurry up and start breeding has only gotten more intense as her sisters have married and started families of their own. At this point, five of Jana’s younger siblings have married and have either had children or are currently expecting.

6. Who Are the Suitors?

Caleb Williams Speaks on Jana Duggar Courtship: Read My Lips ...

For weeks now, talk of Jana Duggar courting Caleb Williams, a longtime friend of her family’s, has been circulating across the Internets.

Erroneous reports of Jana courting seem to surface quite often, but this time, there was real reason to believe these claims had legitimacy.

Not only has Caleb Williams been spending time with Jana, the man also put in one-on-one time with Jim Bob Duggar, her dad.

Any courtship candidates need Jim Bob’s explicit approval – if he doesn’t arrange them personally – so this looked like a key sign.

All the while, both Caleb and Jana downplayed involvement with one another, while not explicitly denying courtship chatter either.

In other words, this rumor had legs.

The oldest Duggar daughter about to turn 28, and we all know Jana likes a rebel, so fans have been quite excited over this.

Are they or aren’t they courting, though? Williams finally spoke out on his Facebook page to clear the air once and for all …

We have good news and bad news, it appears, and whether it’s good or bad largely depends on what you were hoping for here.

The bad news, at least if you were hoping for Jana Duggar to be married off by the end of this spring, is that it’s not happening.

The good news is that if you’re interested in courting her yourself, or weren’t a fan of Williams, well, she’s still very available!

Caleb personally wrote in a Facebook post:

“There has been speculation regarding a relationship between myself and Jana. Now to clear the fog and avoid any confusion …”

“‘Read my lips … I am not dating Jana Duggar."”

“Over the past several months since an extremely unflattering image was posted by my friends and spread across the world,” he said.

The aforementioned photo of himself, in which Williams was less than fully clothed, spread “faster than a viral cat video,” as he put it.

All of that said, Caleb leaves no wiggle room when he writes that “the extent of our relationship is purely friends and nothing more.”

“Hopefully with this clarification the Internet (as well as the space-time continuum) can heal,” he adds, from this devastating blow.

Or the photo that gave him his 15 minutes, a.k.a. “the day my Gluteus Maximus gave Kim Kardashian a run for her money.”

Caleb, seen above with Jana’s dad Jim Bob at a football game in October, certainly seems like a good dude with a sense of humor.

Not unlike reports that linked Jana to Tim Tebow or Bringing Up Bates star Zach Bates or Jonathan Hartono, it just was not to be. 

Described as a “bad boy” and “a lot more liberal than his possible future in-laws,” it’s unclear if he ever considered courting Jana.

Did he want to and get shot down? Did Jana and/or Jim Bob want this and Caleb wasn’t into it? We will likely never know for sure.

All we know for certain is that with her 28th birthday coming up next week, Jana is the last of her of-age sisters to remain single.

Sweet Jana’s single status is perhaps the longest-running topic of debate among card-carrying members of Duggar Nation.

She’s said in the past that she’s been approached by men interested in courting, but has not found the right partner among them.

Yet. Which is completely fair.

If younger siblings Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Joy-Anna and Joseph already have or are about to have kids, it wouldn’t be that notable.

Jana has long been seen as maligned, however, forced by her parents to raise her siblings while unable to pursue her dreams.

Jana & Joy-Anna Duggar Drop Clue That Counting On Is NOT Canceled!

For several weeks now, we’ve been hearing reports that the Duggar family’s reality show, Counting On, had been canceled amidst declining ratings and growing controversy.

The rumor was the result of little more than silence from both the Duggars and TLC with regard to a renewal of the long-running series, but that was enough to send some fans into a state of premature mourning.

After all, if the show had been canceled, it wouldn’t come as too much of a shock.

Criticism of the Duggars has grown louder in recent months thanks to transphobic comments made by Derick Dillard during a series of bizarre social media tirades.

But the family has survived countless scandals in the past, and it looks as though the Duggars will successfully weather this latest storm, as well.

According to a new post from the ever-popular Duggar news Facebook page Life Is Not All Pickles and Hairspray, Joy-Anna and Jana Duggar were recently spotted filming scenes at an Arkansas beauty salon.

The page even posted photo evidence to prove that the girls are currently filming:

Pickles and Hairspray also shared an extensive list of things that we can expect to see on the show this season, along with a few things we most certainly will not see.

That list includes, of course, Josh Duggar and Derick Dillard (the former is still in exile, the latter has either been fired by TLC or quit the show of his own volition, depending on whom you believe).

Apparently, we also won’t see any of the Duggar girls wearing pants, even though several of Jim Bob and Michelle’s daughters have been favoring a more modern sartorial style in recent months.

The page sardonically informs fans that they also won’t be seeing, “The real religious views of the Duggars even though they consider the show their Christian ministry.”

Burn. Needless to say, Pickles isn’t exactly Jim Bob’s favorite Facebook page.

But hey, Duggar fans are likely just ecstatic that they’ll soon be treated to another season of fundamentalist hijinks.

There’s been no official word regarding a premiere date as of yet, but TLC sources have indicated that the show will return in spring of 2018.

Jana Duggar: Is She a Midwife?

While fans of the Duggars wait to hear if Counting On has been renewed or canceled, some are waiting for something else: to find out what Jana Duggar is going to do with her life.

Is she ever going to get married? Is she going to remain in the Duggar household forever? In many ways, the eldest Duggar daughter remains a mystery to fans.

But there’s a chance that Jana Duggar has one job that might take her outside of the Duggar household every now and then. Fans want to know: is Jana a midwife?

In the Duggar household, a strange fertility cult that operates on the fringes of society and upholds fundamentalist beliefs that even die-hard conservative Christians eye askance, women are not independent beings.

That is to say that, effectively, daughters belong to their fathers until they’re married off, at which point their husbands are in charge of everything from how they dress to what they might do for a living.

In the mean time, there’s no sex, there’s no kissing, there’s no unsupervised courting, and there is no front-hugging. 

In fact, the unmarried Duggar women — no matter what age — aren’t allowed to use social media.

(We have to imagine that Josh Duggar’s sex scandals — the cheating, not the molestation — are partially to blame for that policy, because the Duggars like to place blame with everything except Josh himself)

Jana, though she’s the eldest daughter at 27 years (she’ll be 28 next month), isn’t on social media, which is why fans so often have to guess in order to know anything about Jana that isn’t shown on Counting On.

However, though this situation means that we only get glimpses and rumors of things like Jana’s likely courtship with Caleb, Jana does get the occasional opportunity to speak for herself.

Back in 2013 (which, from the perspective of the Duggars, was probably a better, simpler time), Jana and her sister Jill did a guest blog for TLC.

At the time, Jill was in midwifery school (that sounds like a fake word for it, we know) because she wanted to become a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM).

Jana’s situation was a little less formal.

At the time, she wrote that she was “working under a local midwife.” She also added that she was working “as a midwife assistant and doula.”

Jill went on to get certified as a midwife in 2015. But there’s no record of Jana doing anything of the sort.

The reason that we bring this up, aside from viewers’ curiosity over what Jana does with her life and fans’ desire for Jana Duggar to get a life, is because midwifery is becoming increasingly relevant.

Joy-Anna Duggar is pregnant with Austin Forsyth’s baby. The couple married in what is widely believed to have been a shotgun wedding, because Joy-Anna’s version of when she got pregnant — claiming that it was after the wedding — seems suspect.

One way or the other, though, Joy-Anna is pregnant and there’s been speculation that Joy-Anna Duggar might have a home birth.

This practice, where you eschew a hospital visit and try to give birth from the discomfort of your own home, is popular within the Duggar family, even if it doesn’t always work out so well.

So, when it comes time for Joy-Anna to deliver, is Jana Duggar going to helping out?

We don’t know, quite frankly.

But, despite John-David’s excited story of Jana helping to deliver a calf in a very hands-on manner, and despite the training that Jana has clearly had … she’s still not really a midwife.

Jill Duggar is a certified midwife. She can totally help out. But Jana, at the very least, lack’s Jill’s certification.

These days, Jana spends her time being very handy around the house. She acts as a caregiver to her much-younger siblings, she gardens, she cleans, she cooks, and she’s even handy with a hammer and nails.

So while we don’t know that Jana’s going to help bring any new Duggar babies into the world any time soon — her own or those of her siblings — she’s not sitting on her hands, hoping that her prince will one day arrive and sweep her off of her feet as has happened for several of her younger sisters.

When Jana gets married is her business, folks.

But we are allowed to wonder what’s holding her back.

Jana Kramer Shares Heart-Shattering Miscarriage News

Jana Kramer has opened up about something both very personal and very painful:

She has suffered a miscarriage.

The former One Tree Hill star and country artist shared a photo on Instagram Saturday of herself holding an ultrasound photo.

She then explained the basis for the image and detailed all she had recently gone through.

Out of respect for Kramer, we’ll just go ahead and share her message in its entirety, word-for-heartbreaking-word…

1-3 Today I am 1-3. I debated posting this for the exact reason why it’s a silent struggle.

I don’t want I’m sorry or sympathy. I just don’t want to feel alone. And I know I’m not. This unfortunately isn’t my first loss.

When I first found out I was pregnant I wanted to shout it from the rooftop but I know for reasons like this we have to wait. So because we don’t tell many, we have to suffer silently…and suffering silently was my thing in the past, but it’s not now.

For the women out there who have miscarried in the past and need support and a place to grieve their little one lost or to those in the thick of it like me who are currently grieving and in pain, let us all be there for each other.

You don’t need to feel alone and maybe that’s me talking to myself but if you need a place to share, I’m here for you…and all of us are (and guys too.

Kramer welcomed daughter named Jolie with then-husband Mike Caussin in 2016.

As previously noted, the couple separated shortly afterward due to Caussin’s infidelity.

He then entered rehab.

Kramer said in September that she was forced to address the cheating and the separation after word leaked online, but that she and Caussin have remained dedicated to making their marriage work.

“There are days where I’m like, ‘I’m done, I cannot do this anymore,"” she said this fall on Olivia Caridi’s podcast, elaborating:

“And that was like a week ago. And then I’m like, ‘No. Keep fighting.’ I look at my baby girl and I’m like, ‘I’m going to keep fighting.’

“Because I see him trying too. So that’s why we never released a statement because I don’t want to ever be like, ‘Oh, we’re great and in love.’

“We’re working on it. We’re in the trenches. My thing is like, maybe down the road, we’ll be like, ‘This is what we’ve accomplished or not.’ I don’t know.

“The only reason that I stayed is because I’ve seen how hard he’s worked to become the better version of himself and to be a better man and be very present.”

Jana Duggar isn’t quite the black sheep of the Duggar family, but she’s 27 years old and still not married. That makes her unique among the Duggars’ adult daughters.

But some wonder if that’s about to change, and not just because she appears to be in a courtship with Caleb Williams.

The Duggars keep posting photos of her and referring to her as “precious.” Are Jim Bob and Michelle preparing for their eldest daughter to finally leave the nest?

Thanks to some eagle-eyed cyber-sleuth fans of the Duggars who can look past a photo of oranges and recognize furnishing at a glance, it’s all but confirmed that Jana Duggar and Caleb Williams are in a courtship.

Now, Caleb is one of four different men with whom Jana has been linked in 2017.

(And by “linked,” we mean that people have considered the possibility that Jana and these men have had platonic conversations while being supervised)

Caleb Williams has been spending one-on-one time with Jim Bob Duggar, leading many to believe that he’s trying to earn Jana’s father’s approval.

At least, many people struggle to think of why anyone with a choice in the matter would be spending time around the Duggar family patriarch unless they are courting one of his daughters with the possible intention of marrying her.

But there’s more to these questions about Jana’s possible impending matrimony than just that she seems to be cozying up to Caleb.

The Duggars recently posted this throwback photo of Jana with Josie.

The picture of the family’s eldest and youngest daughter in a restaurant is from a few years ago (Josie is now 7 years old!).

The caption, on the Duggars’ official Facebook page, reads:

“A couple years ago with sweet sisters! These girls are precious to me!”

Followed, of course, by a bubblegum pink heart emoji.

On its own, it’s just a throwback pic of two bookends of the Duggar daughters.

But since the Duggars have been posting other photos of Jana in particular (among their ever-growing brood of children and grandchildren), we have to ask if there’s more to this.

When we think of Jim Bob and Michelle, we think of a lot, and none of it involves being sentimental or caring.

But, in their own very disturbed way, they are very attached to their children.

Maybe this is their way of showing that they’re feeling sentimental about Jana quite possibly preparing to, finally, get married.

(In real life, nobody has to get married and 27 is a perfectly reasonable time to be single. In the topsy-turvy world of the Duggarverse, Jana’s practically an old maid)

After all, Jana has been a staple of the household for nearly three decades. Having a family member “suddenly” depart after what’s bound to be a short engagement can be quite an adjustment.

Of course, if Jana and Caleb are courting and considering marriage, then she’s singing a different tune than she was earlier this year.

Previously, Jana Duggar told TLC’s cameras:

“There have been different guys come along and ask, but they haven’t been the right one.”

That’s a normal experience for most people.

“It’s just one of those things. I’m not just out to get married to the first one who comes along.”

That’s a good way to operate. We’d point out, as many fans have, that her adult sisters haven’t seemed to be nearly so picky.

To many fans, it appears that Jana’s siblings did indeed get married to the first ones who came along.

There’s nothing wrong with making your choices carefully, but we wonder what — if anything — makes Caleb Williams stand out above all of the rest.

We’d ask Jana but, of course, since she isn’t married, she’s not allowed to be on social media.

She was born in 1990, folks.

Jana Duggar & Caleb Williams: Courtship Confirmed?!

For several weeks now, we’ve been hearing rumors that Jana Duggar is being courted by Caleb Williams, a longtime friend of her family’s.

False reports of Jana entering a relationship seem to surface about once a month, but this time, there’s real reason to believe that the claims may be legit.

Not only has Caleb been spending time with Jana, he’s also been putting in one-on-one time with her father, Jim Bob.

Since all courtship candidates need Jim Bob’s approval, many are taking this as a sign that Caleb and Jana are, in fact, in the early stages of a relationship.

An even better indication is the fact that Caleb and Jana are downplaying their involvement with one another, while never explicitly denying that they’re courting.

Unfortunately for the young lovebirds, it’s hard for to keep anything a secret in 2017, especially when your followers are as obsessive as Duggar fans tend to be.

To be fair, Caleb is doing a pretty good job of keeping things on the down-low.

(As an unmarried Duggar woman, Jana’s not allowed to use social media, so she has nothing to worry about.)

But Duggar die-hards are a detail-oriented bunch with a knack for picking up on the smallest of clues.

Take the above photo of a bag of oranges, for example.

Caleb posted it earlier this week, with a caption explaining that he’d simply decided to post “a few candid food photos.”

Seems innocent enough … but his followers quickly put this thing under the microscope, and it seems they’re very pleased with what they’ve found.

“That looks like the Duggars’ house,” one fan commented.

Others echoed the sentiment, because apparently there’s more than one person out there who’s capable of recognizing the Duggars’ countertops.

Caleb hasn’t confirmed that his followers are correct in their assumptions that he’s been hanging out at the Duggar compound.

But this may be one of those instances in which silence speaks volumes.

Williams has also avoided answering fans’ questions about whether or not he spent Thanksgiving with the Duggars.

He was notably not in the family’s holiday photo, but again, it’s a little weird that he’s not talking.

If Caleb was at the compound on Turkey Day but was left out of the photo, then this is pretty much an open-and-case.

The Duggars wouldn’t invite a young, single dude to Thanksgiving dinner unless he was courting one of their daughters.

And they wouldn’t leave a guest out of their big group photo unless they were trying to keep his presence a secret.

Clearly, neither Caleb or Jana will be confirming anything anytime soon.

Fortunately, legions of borderline-stalker Duggar fans are on the case.

Duggar Fans: Jana Needs to Get a Life!

With the likely exception of her brother Josh, no one in the Duggar family inspires stronger feelings than chronically single eldest daughter, Jana.

Dubbed the “Cinderella Duggar” by fans, due to her tireless work around the house, Jana inspires tremendous loyalty among Counting On viewers.

But she also inspires a good deal of concern among viewers who fear she’s being taken advantage of by her own family.

In fact, a certain subset of Duggar fans is constantly in search of signs that Jana is secretly miserable.

This often means making tremendous leaps in logic when assessing the life of a young woman who, for the most part, appears to be pretty content.

These days, Jana is reportedly courting Caleb Williams, and those who know her best say the 27-year-old enjoys working at her family’s used car lot and helping to raise her younger siblings.

But don’t tell that to the folks who seem to get a bizarre kick out of believing that Jana is miserable.

The latest “evidence” that Jana secretly hates life comes in the Duggar family’s official website.

The site contains a “scrapbook” page, on which the many Duggar siblings can fill out fields describing their future plans, favorite vacations, and of course, list their favorite biblical figures.

Many fans have taken notice of the fact that Jana’s has been left completely blank.

“She was probably uncomfortable listing her lack of want for five million kids. Better nothing than worldly in that house,” commented one fan.

“She may have plans, but is afraid to share,” speculated another.

All sound theories.

Of course, it’s equally possible that Jana would just like to keep one single aspect of her life private.

After all, she’s not a Kardashian.

The woman didn’t court fame; she simply had it thrust upon her by being born to parents with a serious love of the spotlight.

Now, she finds herself in the position where fans are constantly speculating about her love life, and freaking out because she forgot to list her favorite Bible quotes on some deep-cut page of her family’s website.

Who knows? Maybe Jana is actually secretly miserable.

But if that’s the case, she does a fine job of hiding it.
