Counting On Recap: Jinger Duggar Learns She"s Having a Girl!
Counting On suffers from the same problem as so many reality shows nowadays, in that its stars are so famous and so popular on social media that it’s very easy to stay up to speed with what’s going on in their lives.
Some have argued that these circumstances render reality TV obsolete, but Counting On remains as popular as ever, and last night’s episode provided some potent reminders of why that is.
The installment served up major developments on different fronts, as the two most rebellious Duggar siblings each prepared for the next stage in their life.
Back in July, Jinger Duggar welcomed her first child, a girl named Felicity.
But at the time that Monday’s episode was filmed, the young couple was still clueless as to the baby’s sex.
“There was a lot of anticipation waiting to find out the gender,” Jinger told the cameras of prior to her doctor’s appointment.
“Who’s the baby going to look like? We were both so thrilled.”
Jeremy — clearly overwhelmed by seeing an image of his daughter for — struggled to put the profound moment into words.
“That’s incredible,” he said at one point.
“This was my first time ever being in an ultrasound, and the fact it’s my child was astonishing,” Vuolo later added.
“I was almost at a loss for words.”
Despite some initial misgivings, Jeremy and Jinger opted to find out the baby’s gender as early as possible, and lucky for us, the emotional moment was caught on camera.
“We opted not to be surprised so maybe we could have more time to reflect on the name, and maybe down the road we may choose to be surprised,” Vuolo said.
“When the technician told us what we were having, we were both overjoyed,” Jinger told the cameras.
“We just could not believe it.”
Just a few months later Felicity Nicole Vuolo entered the world at 8lbs. and 3oz.
And so far, fans have continued to share in every moment of her young life.
Of course, Jinger and Jeremy weren’t the only ones gearing up for a life-changing moment on last night’s show.
Josiah Duggar and Lauren Swanson got married in June, and on Monday’s Counting On, fans got a peek at the preparations as Lauren attempted to find the perfect dress for the occasion.
The Duggars and their fundamentalist community are typically very big on gender roles, but Lauren broke with tradition by bringing her dad along on her dress-shopping excursion.
“Before Josiah came into the picture, my dad was my very best friend,” Lauren told the cameras.
“He was someone I always would talk to about anything if anything was wrong, and I really value my dad’s opinion.”
Of course, there are downsides to shopping with the guy who’s footing the bill:
“I really wanted him to be part of it. My dad will probably be more concerned about the price, just knowing my dad,” Lauren said.
“He’s very frugal. I don’t necessarily like to pick the expensive things. I don’t tend, to but that happens.”
Clearly, Lauren’s not as conservative as the Duggars — so it’s a good thing that she found happiness with the most non-traditional of the Counting On clan.

Anchor Learns of Husband"s Death On Air, Completes Report
Supreet Kaur, an anchor for Indian news network IBC24, went viral over the weekend for the most tragic of reasons.
While listening to a reporter detail a two-vehicle crash in the region that featured two injuries and three fatalities, Kaur realized that her husband of 18 months, Harshad Kawade, was very likely one of the victims.
She knew the car he was driving that day and the area through which he was headed.
Somehow, though, the 28-year old journalist finished with the hour-long broadcast and only broke down after walking out of the TV studio, according to The Hindustan Times.
"She got a sense that it was her husband"s vehicle," a senior editor told the newspaper, adding:
"She read the bulletin and only when she came out of the studio, she started calling her relatives."
The editor added that Kaur’s colleagues had learned during the broadcast that Kaur"s husband as dead "but we did not tell her. We did not have the courage."
Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Raman Singh tweeted about Kaur soon after this report concluded, writing online:
"Salute Supreet"s strength in dealing with her husband"s demise with extraordinary bravery and professionalism. May departed soul rest in peace."
The death of her husband was confirmed shortly after Kaur got up from her desk.
"She is an extremely brave lady," a colleague told the aforementioned publication.

Girl Learns Lesson About Water Pressure... The Hard Way

Keeping Up With The Kardashians: Kylie Jenner Learns She"s Pregnant
You would think that Kylie Jenner, Kourtney and Kim Kardashian had insider information on Brexit from the way they treat their phones.
All three ladies were glued to their devices as poor Corey Gamble attempted to strike up a conversation in a deleted scene from Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
"Hey, lemme get ya"lll attention for like 20 seconds," Corey said, visibly shocked at how three women can ignore someone so well.
Kourtney finally looks up from her phone long enough for Corey to explain how wonderful it was to go antiquing with Kris Jenner, and how important it is to him to at least act interested in her hobbies.
When Corey decides to show Kris one of his favorite activities, roller skating, Kim looks up from her phone and decides to join the coversation.
"So, when I do this thing on Friday," Corey started…
"What thing?" Kim asked.
"Rollerskating!" Kourtney snapped, at least semi-aware that she and her sisters have a problem ignoring people when they"re getting down with social media.
While Kim and Kourtney get into the idea of family roller skating night, Kylie continues to scroll through her Google Alerts to see how often she"s mentioned online.
"Why is everyone saying that I"m pregnant?" Kylie asked no on in particular, eyes glued to her phone.
"Who"s the dad?" Kourtney asked casually.
"I don"t know," Kylie answered. "How do people know before me?"
You"re like, way famous, that"s how.
Kylie"s Twitter account was hacked over the weekend, and one of the tweets joked that her alleged sex tape with ex-boyfriend, Tyga was "trash."
The 18-year-old posted a Snapchat confirming that her account was indeed hacked into, but no one will ever get to see a sex tape.
"Everyone is like "leak the sex tape,"" she said.
"Guys, you are never going to see a sex tape from me. It"s not going to happen."

Farrah Abraham Slams Nicki Minaj Again, Apparently Never Learns
As you may recall, the Farrah Abraham vs. Nicki Minaj feud offered up some seriously entertaining tirades earlier this year.
In fairness, Nicki started the whole thing, calling Farrah a “c-nt” for her behavior on Teen Mom.
But it was Farrah who took the shade to new heights, having her 6-year-old daughter slam Minaj on video, and publicly encouraging Nicki to focus on her “rapist brother.”
Remarkably, Nicki took mercy on Farrah and let the beef slide, but it seems Ms. Abraham just doesn’t know when to let sleeping rappers lie.
Asked about her feelings toward Nicki at the 2016 MTV Movie Awards over the weekend, Farrah had this to say about a woman who could verbally tear her limb-from-limb:
“That’s been over with, but I have to say that I’m really disappointed in a woman acting like that. My God, there’s just been so many disappointments, not just with me but other public figures, other artists, and it’s just f–king shady to do that sh-t.”
Sadly, someone like Farrah is small potatoes in Nicki’s world, so Minaj probably won’t respond, but we’re holding out hope that she’s in the studio working on a diss track right now.
When you’re beefing with Farrah, there’s so much material to work with.
