50 Cent: Too Black for Derek Jeter?!?

A penny for 50 Cent’s thoughts?

Actually, when it comes to his newfound hatred for Derek Jeter, Fiddy is happy to provide these for free.

The rapper says he’s now a sports fan free agent after learning that a former athlete on his favorite baseball team has an unfavorable opinion of him.

It all started back in 2013 when Derek Jeter backed out of a deal to promote Frigo, a company that specializes in especially comfortable underwear.

According to a lawsuit filed against the future Hall of Famer, Jeter signed a deal in 2011 to be a director of Frigo and to participate in major publicity events as well.

But he was unavailable to help Frigo launch in the United States two years later.

So the company hired 50 Cent as a brand ambassador, which prompted Jeter to drop out of his deal entirely because, as Frigo owner Mathias Ingvarsson puts it, Jeter believed the artist was too “urban.”

It should be noted that Jeter’s father is African-American.

Frigo is now suing Jeter $ 4.7 due to profits it claimed it lost without him on board.

And 50 Cent is looking for a new team to follow.

“Wow, guess I’m not a Yankees fan anymore,” Fiddy captioned a photo of Jeter on Twitter.

“LETS GO METS? Man you can’t trust nobody these day.smh #EFFENVODKA #FRIGO #SMSAUDIO.”

Jeter, of course, recently got engaged to Hannah Davis. So we’re guessing he doesn’t care about anything else at the moment.

(You have seen Hannah Davis, right?)
