Charlie Sheen HIV Scandal: Ex-Wife Brooke Mueller Opens Up!

With Charlie Sheen’s highly touted Today Show interview just hours away, his (many) ex-wives and partners are beginning to open up about the actor’s HIV-positive status.

Yesterday, Bree Olson revealed she did not contract HIV from her ex-boyfriend.

Now, Sheen’s ex-wife, Brooke Mueller, is opening up about Sheen and her own health status. According to Radar Online, Sheen “potentially” exposed Mueller to HIV.

Mueller, who was married to Sheen from 2008 to 2011, learned the news of her ex’s health status years ago when he was first diagnosed with the disease.

Of course, she didn’t take the news well.

But now that Sheen’s HIV diagnosis is no longer a secret, Mueller has revealed the details of a series of rambling text messages sent to Sheen’s assistant when she learned Sheen may had exposed her to HIV.

“I couldn’t handle the HIV news,” she said.

Mueller added, “Charlie potentially giving me HIV. I started doing heavy drugs with Charlie, staying up for days and it made my brain misfire. I snapped.”

“I feel awful,” she stated in another text. “Totally disgusted by myself. I have to talk to him about our kids. I desperately need to talk to him. Does he have five minutes for me?”

Until now though, Sheen and his ex-partners have remained tight lipped about the situation.

Likely this is because the disease has faced a negative social stigma over the years.  As a result, Sheen has allegedly hidden his diagnosis for years, fearing Hollywood would shun him.

And according to rumors, Sheen may have paid off at least one of his former partners to keep quiet.

Although some of his partners have reported a clean bill of health, at least four women have claimed that the actor exposed them to the virus.

Some sources also claim that there are currently several active lawsuits against Sheen, citing that he knowingly exposed his partners to HIV.

One source told The Enquirer that  “Charlie had sex with multiple partners since learning his HIV status without informing them of his potentially deadly HIV infection.”

Sheen is scheduled to address the issue with Matt Lauer this morning.

Of course, no one wishes the disease upon Charlie Sheen (or anyone else). But if he knowingly exposed his partners to the virus, things will likely get ugly.

However, it has not been officially confirmed if he did, in fact, knowingly expose anyone to HIV.

This story is still developing.  As always with Charlie Sheen, there will be more to come.

Currently, more than 1.2 million people in the United States are living with either HIV or AIDS.  To learn more about the disease or to find out how to get tested, visit the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
