Yesterday, the world learned that Michael Phelps and Nicole Johnson are expecting their first child.
It was joyous news for Phelps, his family, and his legion of loyal fans. However, one longtime associate of the legendary Olympian was less than thrilled with the news.
You might remember Taylor Lianne Chandler as Phelps’ former sex partner who may have been with him the night he was arrested for DUI.
In the past, Taylor has dismissed Phelps’ relationship with Johnson as a publicity stunt designed to help the swimmer rebuild his reputation after a number of sordid details from his private life were made public.
Following the news that Johnson is pregnant with a baby boy, Chandler took to Facebook to share her reaction:
“One of the hardest things ever for someone dealing with a gender challenge to deal with is an ex having a baby with another woman,” Chandler wrote. “It reinforces that lack of self worth, being woman enough.
“I did absolutely nothing wrong a year ago. I protected same man for months. He took everything from me, so yes I am bitter. He made me emotionally crippled, broken and a mere shell of who I used to be.”
Chandler goes on to blame Phelps for the loss of her career as a translator, which she says forced her to star in a Phelps-themed porn in order to get by:
“After losing my career I did an adult film, not exactly something I ever would have chosen,” she wrote. “I was trying to survive. That turned into me riding his coat tails…lol.”
Chandler concludes with a vicious attack on Phelps and his reputation, even going so far as to compare the 30-year-old to the HIV-afflicted Charlie Sheen:
“Stop blaming the victim and rethink this man you idolize and call a role model. You haven’t even scratched the service [sic] of who this man is and the events of the last year.
“Let’s just say he makes Charlie Sheen look like an amateur! I hope that baby is born free of STD’s. He’s not the safest when pursuing his extra curricular activities outside the girls he is ‘dating."”
It’s unlikely that Phelps will ever respond to Chandler’s accusations, but we think it’s safe to say he and his reps are not pleased.
