Dance Moms Season 6 Episode 10 Recap: Abby Lee Miller Horror Show

If you watch Dance Moms online, you know that for all intents and purposes, every episode may as well be an “Abby Lee Horror Story.”

Only Dance Moms Season 6 Episode 10 has the distinction of formally being titled this, however, so you know s–t was gonna get real …

As Dance Moms Season 6 Episode 10 got underway, Abby announced that star Maddie Ziegler would tell the Lizzie Borden story.

Maddie, 13, remains her favorite pupil. By a wide margin.

Newcomer Brynn Rumfallo, 12, and Kendall Vertes, 13, are given the Black Dahlia and Natalie Wood solos for the routine, respectively.

Abby also opted for a particularly dark group routine, announcing that her dancers would perform “The Cult,” a contemporary piece.

Says Miller of the inspiration for this particular work:

“I think every parent has concerns about their child falling prey to a cult. And sometimes they’re even brainwashed to drink the Kool-Aid.”

Holly Frazier’s response, which we’re all thinking?

“I have heard people reference [this] as a cult.”

Indeed. And there’s no mistaking the fact that the concept is a bit much for pre-teens and the girls are somewhat confused by the theme.

Mackenzie Ziegler, 11, thinks a cult is simply made up of “bad people,” while Holly and Jessalynn Siwa try their best to explain better.

While the girls could not settle on a clear definition of a cult before going on stage, it did not impact their performance. They took first!

“I love when our kids dance as a team together and I think that’s what’s important,” Kendall’s mother, Jill Vertes, says.

“Maybe the ALDC being a cult isn’t a bad thing after all.”

Wow, someone’s been drinking the Kool-Aid. Literally.

Brynn’s mother, Ashlee, presents the team with cups of it, saying, “The ALDC is a cult and they need their own Kool-Aid, so I got them some.”

“I think they should drink their Kool-Aid every now and then.”
