If you watch Jill & Jessa: Counting On online, you may recall last season’s episode in which the women of the Duggar clan enjoyed a ladies-only trip to Branson, Missouri.
Usually, what happens in Branson stays in Branson, but the Duggar gals allowed us to come along for the ride as they … did pretty much what they do at home but in a different state.
Anyway, one of the highlights of the episode was watching Jessa Duggar bond with Anna Duggar.
Though they’re not sisters by birth, Anna married into the family while Jessa was in her teens, and the two of them reportedly hit it off from the start.
Now, a deleted scene from the Duggars’ wild time in Branson shows the gals enjoying a stroll together and talking about the joys and challenges of marriage and motherhood:
In Anna’s case, of course, there’s been considerably more challenge than joy in the past year.
In the wake of the Josh Duggar sex scandals may encouraged the 27-year-old to leave her family, but Anna took her cues from the Book of Tammy Wynette and stood by her man.
It’s a decision that Jessa clearly admires, as she sounds very much like a wide-eyed little sister when she gushes about Anna:
“I have learned so much from Anna, just watching the way that she loves her kids,” Jessa tells the camera.
“It’s just been such a blessing to me, as I’m stepping into mommy-hood myself, to look to her as an example and learn from her.”
Clearly, the Duggar women respect Anna for all that she’s had to endure.
And we’re sure they also look to her for tips on how to avoid a similar fate.
