Courtney Stodden & Doug Hutchison: We"re Both Completely Broke!
Back when Courtney Stodden married Doug Hutchison, it seemed the odd couple was destined for stardom in the age of reality televsion.
After all, for the first few months, the world seemed unable to look away from the washed up actor and his aspiring pop star child bride.
Unfortunately, as Doug and Courtney soon learned the hard way, the fascination of the public doesn’t always equate to big bucks.
To their credit, they did their damnedest to try to cash in with a reality show and other business ventures but nothing seemed to pan out.
These days, Stodden and Hutchison are getting divorced, and the legal proceedings have shed some light on the former couple’s financial situation.
According to domuments obtained by The Blast, Courtney has filed for spousal support, claiming that she earns just $ 2,500 a month.
That’s a problem, as her monthly expenses amout to a whopping $ 4,700 (including $ 1,000/month on clothes).
Courtney says she has just $ 2,700 in the bank at the moment, but claims to be in possession of $ 10,000 worth of furniture and appliances.
Yes, her finances have reached the “I wonder how much the couch would go for on Craiglist” point.
Courtney tells the court that her situation hasn’t always been this dire.
According to her filing, things “changed drastically” over the last 12 months due to “no major production deals.”
Of course, this begs the question – at what point was Courtney Stodden landing major production deals?
But as sad as Courtney’s situation is, she’s still doing better than Doug.
Yes, it seems those Green Mile residuals have dried up and left the out-of-work thespian in a rather sorry state.
Hutchison filed for bankruptcy last year, likely in anticipation of Courtney’s request for spousal support.
According to documents, his monthly income at the time was $ 2,494 but his expenses came out to $ 5,281.
Hutchison has reportedly fled Hollywood for financial reasons and is currently living in Michigan.
Needless to say, it’s gonna be tough for Courtney to squeeze much blood from that stone.
Maybe instead of trying to get spousal support from one another, these two can just head down to the welfare office together.
Or better yet, maybe they can sell a reality show that focuses on their divorce!
Might as well get something out of this marriage before it’s over, right?

Courtney Stodden Files For Divorce From Doug Hutchison
Sometimes, the most promising relationships just aren’t built to last.
And sometimes, a child bride marries a washed-up actor, and no one is even mildly surprised when they get divorced a few years later.
We’ll give you two guesses as to which description applies to Courtney Stodden and Doug Hutchison.
Yes, as you may recall Stodden and Hutchison separated in 2017 after six years of marriage.
The move was expected, but what happened next was not.
Months went by, and neither Doug nor Courtney took the steps necessary to legally end their marriage.
In fact, at least one of them appeared to have second thoughts about ending things, as Stodden begged Hutchison to take her back in a series of heartfelt Instagram posts.
“I need this man back in my life,” she captioned one photo.
“I need him to come help me. I need him to want our marriage to work. He’s been my only solid rock. Doug, if you read this — this is a public cry for your undying love.”
It now appears that – as Hutchison predicted at the time – Stodden was experiencing an emotional low point, and her vulnerability ultimately proved to be short-lived.
People magazine is reporting today that Stodden filed for divorce from Hutchison this week after more than a year of separation.
There’s no word on what prompted Courtney to finally pull the trigger after all this time, but earlier this week, she hinted that she was moving forward with her divorce in a cryptic Twitter post:
“Moving out of that #Beverlyhills house already. #drama,” Stodden tweeted.
Fans speculated that she was suggesting that she’d moved into a smaller home in preparation for what could be a costly legal battle.
Now it seems those predictions were accurate.
At this time, it’s unclear if either Stodden or Hutchison has requested spousal support.
While Hutchison is 34 years Stodden’s senior, she was the primary breadwinner during their marriage, which could make her financially vulnerable.
Here’s hoping she doesn’t try to relaunch her singing career to help cover expenses.

Courtney Stodden: Broke, "Addicted to Fame," Doug Hutchison Claims
Back in May of 2015, Courtney Stodden celebrated her divorce from Doug Hutchison with a lavish party at a Las Vegas strip club.
All these months later, however, the divorce still isn’t finalized, and it seems that Courtney may be having second thoughts.
In a since-deleted Instagram post, Courtney posted a photo of the day that she controversially married Hutchison.
(She was just 16 at the time. He was 51.)
Predictably, the marriage was fraught from the very start, and it quickly deteriorated.
At one point, Courtney’s mother, Krista Keller, attempted to initiate an affair with Hutchison.
He rejected her advances, but the marriage fell apart shortly thereafter.
Now, however, Courtney claims she wants to work things out, but Hutchison has good reason to be skeptical.
Courtney captioned the pic of her wedding day with a lengthy plea for Hutchison to take her back.
“I need this man back in my life,” she wrote. “I need him to come help me.”
In an interview with the Daily Mail, Hutchison reveals that he was baffled by Courtney’s post, and the two of them haven’t communicated in several months.
“I have been left so confused and hurt. I am actually distraught by this,” Doug tells the outlet.
“I cannot understand why Courtney posted that message on social media.”
Doug says that even though he was taken aback by Courtney’s public plea for a reconcilation (the estranged husband and wife hadn’t seen each other since September) he still encouraged Stodden to visit him in Michigan, where he’s been living since the split.
“I still begged her to come to Michigan and work on our marriage, and she wouldn’t. And that spoke volumes to me.
“She is addicted to fame,” he says.
Hutchison said that he suspects their may be an ulterior motive to Courtney’s public plea for a reconciliation:
“Courtney has to be out of her apartment at the end of the month,” he claims.
“She was telling me she was considering moving in with this other man she was seeing, so I just didn’t see how we were ever going to make it work,” Doug adds.
“I said to her, ‘Darling, you are seeing other men, and going on dates, and are looking to move in with someone else. I don’t see how we can do that.’”
Hutchison says he believes Courtney is using her new boyfriend for his cash, and he cautions her current love interest to be wary of her motives.
“The thing is she doesn’t have any money, and he started paying her rent, and she really wants to stay in Hollywood,” he says.
“She has been telling me all along she feels caught in the middle and still loves me, even though we are getting divorced. She says she is not in love with him. I know that he has a great deal of money. I think she may have found her sugar daddy.”
Hutchison adds that he’s deeply concerned for Courtney’s mental health these days, and he fears that she may be headed down a dangerous path.
“I know she struggles with depression and anxiety and it’s heartbreaking to see her upset,” he tells the Mail.
“I don’t want Courtney to go down that road [that her idol Marilyn Monroe did]. I don’t want Courtney to die at 36 and succumb to Hollywood’s dark side.”
The 23-year-old has been open about her struggles with depression, and Doug says that his biggest concern these days is that her financial situation may be preventing her from receiving proper treatment.
Stodden suffered a miscarriage back in 2016, and those who know her best say it sent her on a downward spiral from which she has yet to fully recover.
Here’s hoping Courtney is able to find the help she needs.

Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner: We Have GREAT News!
Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner have had pain and joy in their lives, and their fans are still keeping up with the couple throughout their highs and lows.
Jamie and Doug know that, which is why they’ve announced that they’re coming back to reality television.
This Married at First Sight couple will be getting their very own spin-off!
Married at First Sight might sound like a parody of a reality concept instead of a real show, but no, you didn’t imagine it in some satirical nightmare.
Despite the absurd premise, things worked out okay for Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner. They really hit things off.
Unfortunately, their new love was marred by tragedy when Jamie Otis miscarried at 4 months, back in July of 2016.
The couple grieved the loss of what would have been their first child.
On the one year anniversary of that tragic loss, Jamie and Doug honored their son with a memorial tree.
As we mentioned at the time, memorial trees are extremely tasteful and also allow you to watch a living thing grow and thrive.
Even before they hit that one-year mark, however, Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner announced that they were expecting.
And, back in late August, their expectations were met.
The couple welcomed Henley Grace, their firstborn daughter, into the world. A wonderful development for a couple who deserves happiness.
In a statement to Entertainment Tonight, Jamie Otis shared the couple’s latest good news:
“In our new spinoff, the joys — and struggles — as first-time parents will be out there for all the world to see.”
The Lifetime series will be called Married at First Sight: Jamie & Doug Plus One.
And Jamie explains what it’s all about.
“First of all, everyone knows giving birth is no joke, but who the heck knew the recovery would be excruciating for days?! And I’m not even talkin’ C-section.”
Some people don’t know that, true, but giving birth is agonizing, difficult, and draining. And it can leave you with serious injuries and bleeding and a lot of recovery.
As Jamie now knows firsthand:
“I could barely walk, let alone go to the bathroom!”
A lot about biology can be embarrassing. Childbirth is amazing but it has some serious downsides.
And Jamie Otis says that there’s another low that doesn’t get discussed enough:
“And breastfeeding, that’s another one that isn’t talked about (and I’m guilty as charged being a labor and delivery nurse!).”
She doesn’t get into details here, but Jamie has revealed on social media that she’s now having trouble getting Henley to nurse.
Lots of babies wean themselves when they just decide that they don’t have time for nursing anymore, but … not this young.
So we’ll see how Jamie Otis managed to tackle that.
Don’t worry, though — the series will also focus on the positive:
“But let me tell ya, there is NOTHING more amazing than looking down to a sweet face that resembles you and your hubby — and no greater feeling than knowing you created this precious being.”
Awwww! That’s so sweet!
“All of the firsts as parents is captured in our new series — and it’s quite raw.”
That sounds really exciting.
We’re looking forward to this — and to hearing what Doug Hehner considers his personal highs and lows.
We do have one nitpicky issue, and it’s with the title.
Married at First Sight: Jamie & Doug Plus One reminds us too much of the television series that brought Kate Gosselin to fame.
We don’t think that Jamie and Doug are monsters, so we hate anything that would associate them with that infamously terrible mother.
Other than that, this sounds amazing. We can’t wait to see baby Henley grow up before our very eyes!

Christina El Moussa Dumps Doug Spedding Amidst Drug, Cheating Rumors
Let the Christina El Moussa and Tarek El Moussa reconciliation rumors begin again in earnest.
Okay, maybe not.
But the blonde-haired HGTV star is single once again after ending her relationship with controversial boyfriend Doug Spedding.
And for good reason, too:
An insider tells In Touch Weekly that Spedding had fallen back into his old drug habit, while he was also caught cheating on El Moussa with a former lover.
As a result of his crashing off the wagon, Spedding has agreed to seek professional help.
He has entered an in-patient rehabilitation facility for addiction issues, People Magazine also confirms, with a source saying the following:
“Christina supports Doug’s decision to seek treatment and remains in contact to support his recovery.”
Acknowledging the split without fully acknowledging the split, Christina took to Instagram Tuesday night and shared this message:
“There is no shame in beginning again, for you get a chance to build bigger + better than before.”
She added via caption:
“People can impact you in different ways … the important ones enter your life for a reason a season or a lifetime #keepthefaith.”
El Moussa actually knew and dated Spedding many years ago, long before meeting ex-husband Tarek,
They rekindled their romance after the El Moussa filed for divorce earlier this year, but multiple flags have been popping up ever since.
There was chatter in June, for example, that Spedding had been cheating on El Moussa, as Radar Online even published an alleged text message from Doug to a woman named Tracy in which he asks if she she wants to “f-ck right now.”
It’s unclear whether or not she was in the mood to do so.
But it’s very clear this was SO not cool of Spedding.
In 2011, meanwhile, Spedding was arrested for possession of a controlled substance after being caught with methamphetamine.
He subsequently completed a diversion program.
He also has a domestic violence arrest on his record and has been accused, multiple times, of fraud at his car dealership.
So El Moussa likely made the right call here in leaving Spedding behind.
We doubt she’ll actually get back together with Tarek, but the parents of two adorable kids remain on great terms.
They continue to film Flip or Flop together and will even be teaming up to produce new shows for HGTV.
“Working with Tarek comes easy for both of us,” El Moussa has said, adding last month:
“We have worked together for 12 years and we will continue to work and co-parent together. We have a lot of fun (both on and off camera) flipping houses.”

Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner Welcome First Child!
They were Married at First Sight.
And now they’re in love at first sight…
… with their first child!
A rep for Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner has confirmed to People Magazine that the reality stars welcomed a daughter into their world on Tuesday.
The details are as follows:
- Name: Henley Grace Hehner.
- Born at: 5:24 a.m.
- Weight: Eight pounds, two ounces.
- Height: 20.2 inches.
“Mommy and baby are doing well and Daddy is in pure bliss,” this rep tells the aforementioned publication.
Shortly after this confirmation went viral, the brand new parents shared the following precious photo from their daughter’s Instagram account:
Yup. You read that correctly: Henley Grace Hehner is just a few hours old and already has an Instagram account.
“Wrapped around my daddy’s finger already. #skintoskin #daddysgirl #newborn,” read the caption to this cute image.
Jamie, meanwhile, gave People a shout-out on her own social media account, while also making the following statement as a caption to an exclusive photo from that magazine:
I’ve never been more in love.@henleygracehehner, you’re mommy’s everything. Thanks, @people for being just as excited as we are to welcome our sweet baby girl.. #MyGracieGirl #MyEverything
Jamie and Doug got married within seconds of meeting each other for the first time on the reality series Married at First Sight in 2014.
They are one of the few success stories from that series… heck, from any reality series.
Just over a year ago, they tragically lost a child to a miscarriage after Jamie was four months along.
“Our Baby Hehner was just too beautiful for earth,” Jamie wrote at the time, adding:
“I love him so much – ALWAYS will – and can’t wait to meet him in heaven one day. Please pray for us.”
They shared a heartbreaking photo at the time and were as open as they could be about what happened, with Doug writing last summer:
“There are no words to express the pain and sorrow associated with losing our baby.”
We really cannot imagine.
In April, Otis spoke to People in an exclusive interview about how excited she was to be a mother.
“I’ve always wanted to have that mother-daughter relationship that I kind of missed out on with my mom,” said the reality star, who opened up about her difficult relationship with her mother in her memoir Wifey 101.
“I secretly hoped to be a mommy to a little girl and to have a little mini me.”
We’re so very happy for Jamie and Doug!
