Tom Cruise and James Corden Recreate Iconic Movie Scenes

Tom Cruise will next be seen in the sequel to Jack Reacher that absolutely no one has been clamoring for.

We somehow doubt it will go down in history as one of Cruise’s most beloved films.

Love the actor or think he’s a Scientology-obsessed lunatic, however, you must admit:

The guy has starred in some incredibly entertaining movies.

Moreover, he’s starred in some iconic movie scenes.

Such as what? We’re so glad you asked!

Cruise was a guest on The Late Late Show with James Corden on Wednesday night, showing off some impressive comic chops and reminding us why he’s such a legendary actor.

“Are you ready to do this?” Corden asked the Jack Reacher star, who walked out on stage wearing a black t-shirt and jeans topped with an olive bomber jacket.

“No, I’m not ready, but I’ll do it,” he replied with a laugh.

If you’ll recall, Anna Kendrick did something similar with Corden back in June, jumping from scene to scene while acting out a love story soundtrack.

Was Cruise up to a similar task?

First, the duo went all Top Gun in viewers, tossing out the classic line: “I feel the need. The need for speed.”

Then, it was on to the 1990 car racing flick, Days of Thunder, followed by a quick wardrobe change as they moved into the Oscar-winning Rain Man.

In this case, Corden took on the role played by Dustin Hoffman, which earned him an Academy Award at the time.

There was a nod to Cruise’s dancing and cursing cameo in Tropic Thunder, followed by a War of the World recreation and then another one of Minority Report.

After a quick mask change for Mission: Impossible III, Cruise and Corden pretended to cling to the side of a building in Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol.

What about Jerry Maguire?

We were treated to a surprise appearance by Cuba Gooding Jr. for this one, as he stopped by to scream once again at Cruise over the phone:

SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!!!

What did the duo do to honor A Few Good Men, Cocktail and Risky Business?

Check out the video posted at the top of this post to find out. It’s awesome.

24 Actors Who Turned Down Iconic Roles

Can you imagine anyone other than Tom Hanks as Forest Gump? What about anyone besides Matthew Broderick as Ferris Bueller?

You won"t believe what actors actually turned town those roles. In fact, we"ve got a list of 24 actors who passed on iconic roles — sometimes for better, and sometimes for worse.

Check them out below!

1. Michelle Pfeiffer, Silence of the Lambs

Michelle pfeiffer picture

It’s true. Maybe you can’t imagine anyone other than Jodie Foster as Clarice in Silence of the Lambs, but Michelle Pfieffer was actually offered the role first. She turned it down because it was too violent.

2. Al Pacino, Star Wars

Julie and al pacino

Are you sitting down? Because it’s nearly impossible to imagine anyone other than Harrison Ford, but Al Pacino was actually offered the role of Han Solo on Star Wars.

3. Sarah Michelle Gellar, Clueless

That’s right. Sarah Michelle Gellar passed on the role of Cher in the movie Clueless, which eventually went to Alicia Silverstone. Gellar focused on slaying vampires instead.

4. Leonardo DiCaprio, Boogie Nights

Leonardo DiCaprio probably made the right choice with this one. He turned down the role of Dirk Diggler on Boogie Nights so he could instead star in a little film called TITANIC.

5. Johnny Depp, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off

Um, seriously? Try really hard to imagine Johnny Depp as Ferris Bueller, you guys. Doesn’t work, does it? It’s a good thing he turned down that role, because nobody other than Matthew Brokerick could be Ferris Bueller.

6. Lindsay Lohan, The Hangover

Who knows what might have happened if Lindsay Lohan hadn’t turned down the role of Jade on The Hangover? Instead, that part went to Heather Graham.

Caitlyn Jenner Celebrates Anniversary of Iconic Vanity Fair Cover

Caitlyn Jenner officially became Caitlyn Jenner one year ago this week.

Yes, the reality star sat down with Diane Sawyer for an ABC interview on April 24, announcing at the time that she was living life as a woman.

But it was on June 1, 2015 when the former Olympian and step-father to Kim Kardashian and company made the announcement that truly changed her life forever.

It took place on the cover of Vanity Fair and it was comprised of a mere three words:

Call me Caitlyn.

The cover photo was snapped by Annie Leibovitz and it marked the public’s first-ever look at Jenner in a woman’s outfit.

On Wednesday evening, Jenner acknowledged the important occasion via an Instagram video, one she captioned with the following words:

“Can’t believe it’s been one year since the @vanityfair cover. So happy, best year of my life #happyfirstbirthday#callmecait #learningtolive.”

And what a year it has been for Caitlyn Jenner, huh?

Since coming out as a woman, she has received an award for courage at the 2015 ESPYs.

She has also…

… Anchored her own E! reality show, I Am Cait.

…  Broke President Barack Obama’s record for being the fastest to gain one million followers on Twitter, accomplishing the feat in four hours.

… Been named the runner-up for Time’s Person of the Year.

Say what you want about the way in which Caitlyn has handled her transition, but there’s no debate that she’s helped move the transgender discussion forward.

Jenner, meanwhile, will mark the 40th anniversary of her winning a gold medal in the decathlon at the 1976 Olympics in Montreal this summer.

On Wednesday, Sports Illustrated announced that it will commemorate the occasion with a cover story in the magazine, which will be available on newsstands June 8.

There’s also a film on the way, Jenner: 40 Years After Gold, which will air on the Sports Illustrated website.

Leah Messer Defends Self in Iconic, Inspirational Twitter Essay: I"m Not a Nun, I"m a Classy Mom!

This year has been a difficult one for Leah Messer, as you know all too well if you watch Teen Mom 2 online or read celebrity gossip.

Yet all of the criticism and life challenges she’s faced – and overcome – have made her stronger, Messer writes in an epic Twitter essay.

The 24-year-old mom of three is embroiled in an ongoing custody battle with one ex-husband, while going through a divorce with another.

Her issues with Corey Simms and Jeremy Calvert are well documented, along with her daughter Ali’s weight loss and health problems.

Every single Teen Mom 2 episode (and day in the celebrity news world) seems to feature a new example of Leah being a bad mom.

Whether it’s getting the kids to school late, texting and/or smoking and driving, or letting Adalynn eat from a can of icing, she can do no right.

And yet, Messer insists she is in a “beautiful place” now, thanks in large part to a stronger relationship with God … and her life coach.

She wrote all about it in this epic Twitter essay urging her legion of followers to “Pay My Grammar NO MIND – Just simply give me time.”

Messer added that she is #‎GettingBETTEReveryday and that we all should have #Patience or at least strive to do so as our life’s mission.

The reality star went on to describe the meaning of her tattoos, where she draws inspiration from and how she plans to improve spiritually.

Here is the full text of what Leah said (as documented by Starcasm) beginning with this “I’m not a nun, I’m a mom” pic that she also shared:

“This is actually the first time I’ve said much about me or my life because you see me on TV or hear BS Teen Mom/Small Town Gossipers.”

“But you will realize how I proudly choose to be above all the BS w/ any of it. Mainly because I know God has a greater plan for myself!”

“What everyone automatically wants to pass judgement, lie, and/or assume about myself or Journey really doesn’t even matter.”

“As long as God knows my [heart]. At the end of the day, HIS judgement is what truly matters!Any how, back to the picture quote I reposted.”

“It is so true! I prefer to be a classy mom! (: I loveee loveeeeee my tattoos. Matter of fact, Each one has a special meaning behind them.”

“Example: My daughters names. They are all professionally done. I also like being able to cover them during interviews, public speakings, etc.”

“The point in posting this is …. Drum rolls. Haha…. We as “MOMS” don’t have to live by someone else’s criteria. We should live up to our own criteria.”

“Who and what we wanna be and achieve! You have to …. Live up to your own standard!!! We have to create our own journey.”

“Be DIFFERENT and EMBRACE whatever we go through. I’ve learned so many things in the past year that has turned my life completely around for the best!”

Inspiring words to be sure. Messer then went on to describe to fans the “3 things that I have learned that I plan helping others learn.”

What kind of things is she talking about – and could she resist taking a shot at MTV for what she claims is unfair editing of her existence?

We know Messer is fed up and threatening to quit Teen Mom 2, but she sounds resigned to the fact that this is the only life she knows …

“1. How to maintain and grow a magnificent relationship with God. I’ve found a different growth in my relationships with him like NEVER before. It’s truly inspirational and amazing! I’m in love.”

“2. Taking time to just LIVE IN EACH AND EVERY MOMENT/DAY/SECOND of my life with my beautiful little girls. That are of course the best things that’s ever happened to me!”

“#‎ExtremelyBlessed #‎AAA #‎HOPE #‎GRACE #‎FAITH! I only THOUGHT my relationship with my daughters was quite remarkable before.”

“The relationship I have with my girls now is quite magical and amazing to feel!”

“3. I’ve learned How to take care of myself: MENTALLY PHYSICALLY AND EMOTIONALLY & by having a Life coach like Lindsay Rielly.”

“Through the @liveyourstandard program, this has been the best experience of my life and has completely changed my life.”

“God KNEW what he was doing when he brought YOU into my life, and I can’t wait to see what he has in store for our future!”

“You’re more than my manager, and Friend!”

“You have already taught me so much and how to love myself, be the best of myself, be a better mother, and most importantly that everything you have taught me is teaching me to be a Beautiful, Classy, successful, and empowering woman.”

“In return I will teach my daughters as well as others! You with the help of God have opened my eyes to what I want, need, and where one day I will be.”

“As a child I was never taught this and when my mom was a child she was never taught this.”

“My personal experience was totally opposite. I put everyone and everything before myself.”

“This is also why in some ways I am GRATEFUL for MTV through all of their BS, and I’ve never said that its ALL bs.”

“MTV does get real sh!t, and then they have to twist sh!t or whatever they do. We all know it happens and it’s going to happen.”

“I know it will get better, and I can’t wait for everyone that does follow my story and can see through whatever editing is done to see what a beautiful place I am in now, and that God walked me through some pretty difficult times for a very good reason!”

“So I do have a somewhat Bitter/Sweet relationship with some of them. It would actually be kinda hard living any other life now.”

In closing, she thanked her “team” of close friends and associates who have played such an important roll [sic] to her success:

“I appreciate you guys! I also just want to THANK everyone that DID support me and rooted for me! We need more people just like you in this world!”

“#‎BeYourBest #‎LoveYourself #‎LiveYourStandard”

“#‎LetsChangeTheWorld #‎LetsMakeADifference”

Here’s hoping Leah backs these words up with actions and becomes every bit the woman she aspires to be in this moving masterpiece.

Alan Rickman Dies; Iconic Actor Was 69

Alan Rickman – the British actor best known for his villainous roles in such blockbuster films as Die Hard and the Harry Potter series – has passed away at the age of 69.

According to a statement, Rickman had been battling cancer. He reportedly passed away at his home in London this morning.

“The actor and director Alan Rickman has died from cancer at the age of 69. He was surrounded by family and friends,” the statement from his loved ones reads.

RIckman found success as an actor relatively late in life, winning a Tony Award for his work in Les Liaisons Dangereuses in 1988.

That same year, Rickman struck box office gold with his role as Hans Gruber in the action classic Die Hard.

Between that oft-quoted performance (“Now I have a machine gun…Ho, ho, ho.”) and his role in Love Actually, Rickman’s one-of-a-kind voice has become a Christmastime staple in homes all over the world.

Of course, it was his role as Severus Snape in the Harry Potter films that would enable the master of the deadpan delivery to frighten a whole new generation.

Just last year, Rickman revealed that he had married Rima Horton – his partner since 1965 – at a small civil ceremony in 2012.

Truly one of the most beloved and influential character actors in movie history, Rickman has already inspired thousands of social media tributes from friends, fellow actors, and his generations of fans.

Kim Kardashian Baby Name: REVEALED!! ICONIC!!!

It’s official: North West’s little baby brother has a name. And it’s a moniker fit for a king … or maybe even someone more exalted than royalty.

While we personally threw out 12 pretty awesome Kim Kardashian baby names we would’ve preferred, they opted to eschew all of them for …

SAINT WEST!

Just moments ago, the super couple announced via Kim’s app (she would have it no other way) that their newborn son’s name is fit for a saint.

Saint, who was born at 8 lbs., 1 oz., was in breech towards the end of November, nearly resulting in his famous mama undergoing a C-section.

Fortunately, her doctors were able to reorient the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kanye West to the correct position for a traditional birth before December.

Soon enough, the little Saint was safely delivered without complications Saturday as Kim Kardashian gave birth to her second child in L.A.

While it was the most painful thing ever, Kim powered through and got it done without having to undergo major surgery, so that’s a bonus.

Saint joins sister North as the only Kardashian-West kids. He is the fifth grandchild for Kris Jenner, counting Kourtney’s three kiddos.

As for the name, we shouldn’t be surprised that ‘Ye would go over the top. “God” would’ve been pushing it, but Saint is as close as it gets.

Besides, the whole King/Queen/Royalty/Reign thing is so played out these days. What’s 100 times more epic than merely being regal?

Being spiritually on another damn echelon, that’s what.

Princes and princesses come and go. Saints are anointed by Heaven above as truly iconic, canonized beings that are motherf–king eternal.

In other words, vintage Kimye. No pressure, Saint …

The Walking Dead Casts Iconic Comic Book Villain

The Walking Dead has found an actor to come on board in the iconic role of Negan.

And it’s a face with which television fans are very familiar.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan – who rose to small screen prominence as Denny Duquette on Grey’s Anatomy and also as John Winchester on Supernaturual – has been cast as the villainous character made famous in the Robert Kirkman comic book series.

He will guest star on The Walking Dead Season 6 finale and then be upgraded to series regular status on The Walking Dead Season 7, which has already been ordered by AMC.

According to the comics on which this smash hit is based, Negan is the leader of the Saviors, a ruthless group of survivors.

He actually kills Glenn with his barbed wire-covered baseball bat (named Lucille), which is an interesting note because viewers are currently wondering whether Glenn is already dead, following his fall into a pit of Walkers two weeks ago.

The Hollywood Reporter states that Matt Dillon and Timothy Olyphant were also under consideration for the role.

Morgan, meanwhile, is currently stealing every single scene on The Good Wife Season 7.

He’s been sizzling up that CBS drama as private investigator Jason Crause, though this AMC booking means he’s unlikely to return for Season 8.
