Bill Cosby Impresses Fellow Inmates, Earns Prison Nickname

Well, folks, it’s been about 24 hours since Bill Cosby was sentenced to prison and taken into custody.

It’s a positive development for just about everyone in the world, with the exceptions of Cosby himself and maybe a handful of wacky sweater enthusiasts.

Considering he appears to have raped scores of women over the course of several decades, Cosby’s 3-10 year sentence is appallingly light, but on the plus side, he’s 81, so there’s a good chance he’s tasted the sweet pudding pop of freedom for the last time.

Anyway, millions are rightly celebrating Cosby’s incarceration today, and we salute his victims for their bravery in coming forward and their persistence in seeing that this monster was brought to justice.

Another group that’s rightly jazzed (Get it? Because he likes jazz?) about the Cos being locked away are his fellow inmates.

Despite what Orange Is the New Black might have led you to believe, minimum security prisons are actually rather boring places where amusingly topical monologues are few and far between.

So the arrival of a celebrity inmate — particularly one as famous as Bill Cosby — is highly anticipated occasion.

“Prisoners are excited that Cosby is there,” a source close to the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections tells Radar Online.

“Even the toughest cellblocks showed respect for him.”

And it seems they’ve even done the disgraced comic the honor of granting him a prison nickname.

“They’re calling him the ‘OG’ — lingo for ‘original gangster,’” the insider claims.

We’re hoping that nickname is delivered with a healthy dose of irony, as Cosby spent the past 50 years chiding black men for the way they dress by day and drugging and raping women by night.

There’s nothing remotely gangster about either of those activities.

Earlier today, we reported that Cosby is trying to beg his way out of prison by claiming that he’s in danger due to his celebrity status.

Fortunately, prison authorities anticipated that argument, and they essentially shot it down with a statement issued moments ago:

“We are taking all of the necessary precautions to ensure Mr. Cosby’s safety and general welfare in our institution,” Corrections Secretary John Wetzel said.

“The long-term goal is for him to be placed in the general population to receive the programming required during his incarceration.”

Sounds like you may want to get comfortable, Mr. Cosby.

You’re gonna be in there longer than Theo got grounded when he took the car without permission. Zab-zippity!

Inmates Break Out of Cell, Save Guard"s Life

We"re willing to guess you"ve never seen a video quite like this before.

Even those who watch Orange is the New Black on a regular basis.

Taken from surveillance cameras of the District Courts Building in Weatherford, Texas, it features a number of shackled inmates who break out of their basement holding cell.

But not for the reason you might think.

The clip depicts eight men walking over to a guard who has seemingly keeled over and is unconscious; it appears as if he"s suffered a heart attack.

Out of concern and panic, the prisoners bang on doors and shout to get the attention of anyone they can.

Deputies in the court located above the cell heard the commotion and nose on June 23 and quickly ran downstairs because they thought a fight had broken out, according to ABC affiliate WFAA.

They were understandably shocked to see the scene in front of them instead.

”We were worried they were going to come with guns drawn on us,” one of the inmates, Nick Kelton, told the network.

One of the inmates was found reaching for the guard’s radio, which was right next to his gun, but the deputies put everything together and realized the noble intentions taking place in that moment.

The prisoners were subsequently ushered back into the cell and one of the deputies administered CPR to his colleague.

Paramedics soon arrived and the guard – who is employed by a private contractor at the nearby Parker County jail – regained a pulse.

Pretty cool, huh?

Kelton, an admitted methamphetamine addict, said it “never crossed my mind not to help, whether he’s got a gun or a badge.”

He concluded: “If he falls down, I’m gonna help him."

Teresa Giudice: Prison Inmates Planning TELL-ALL Book to Expose Her!

Teresa Giudice has been out of prison for a few months now, but her legacy in the big house promises to live on.

The inmates at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut are allegedly planning to write a tell-all book about the Real Housewife, and it’s gonna be juicy.

“Teresa’s former inmates are threatening to write a book about Teresa’s lies and want to expose all of them,” a source told Radar Online.

The inmates are reportedly enraged with the way they were portrayed in Teresa’s book, Turning the Tables: From Housewife to Inmate and Back Again, which revealed some of her shocking experiences while in the slammer.

“She basically ratted on her inmates in the book about them having sex and doing other stuff they shouldn’t be doing,” the source explained. “The inmates are saying Teresa lied in her book.”

But the best part?

The inmates have sought out the help of Teresa’s Real Housewife of New Jersey co-star and frenemy Jacqueline Laurita, who they believe can help make the book a reality.

Jacqueline promptly let all the other Housewives know that the inmates had contacted her, which led Teresa to a meltdown.

“This is why Teresa lost it on Friday during filming,” the source said. “Basically Jacqueline told the other cast members that the inmates have been contacting her and this caused Teresa to freak out.”

Of course, a chipped nail causes Teresa to freak out, so it’s really not saying much.

Truthfully, this all smells like a bunch of cooked-up drama for some high-octane RHONJ scenes, but if the book ever gets written, we’ll download it on Kindle.
