Kellen Winslow II: Arrested on 9 Charges, Including Rape and Kidnapping
On Thursday, reports came out that Kellen Winslow II had been arrested — again — in San Diego, without really giving much detail about what he had allegedly done this time.
His previous arrests were for marijuana possession and burglary. This time, things are looking much more serious.
Winslow faces 9 different criminal charges, including kidnapping and multiple accusations of rape. He could face life in prison.
First, here are the charges that WInslow II is facing, according to TMZ‘s report.
-Two counts of kidnapping with the intent to commit rape
-Two counts of forcible rape
-One count of forcible sodomy
-One count of forcible oral copulation
-Two counts of residential burglary
-One count of indecent exposure
We know that those last two don’t even sound like they’re worth mentioning in the context of those other, very serious charges.
As we said earlier, if he is convicted of all of these charges, he could be facing life in prison.
From what law enforcement officials have told TMZ Sports, Winslow was arrested by the Sheriff’s Major Crimes Division.
The arrest went down at 1:05pm on Thursday.
The San Diego District Attorney informed TMZ of what happened.
“A warrant was issued this morning for Kellen Winslow II’s arrest,” the D.A. revealed. “And he was taken into custody by San Diego Sheriff’s Deputies Thursday afternoon.”
(Of all of the tattoos that Kellen Winslow II has accumulated over the years, he says that this Frederick Douglass quote is one that he does not regret or intend to have removed)
The 34-year-old professional athlete played football for the NFL from 2004 to 2013.
Now, he has been placed into police custody at the Vista Detention Facility, a San Diego county jail.
In the mean time, a search warrant has been carried out upon his residence.
Winslow has been married to his wife, Janelle, since 2006.
Son Jalen Maximus Winslow was born in February of 2011.
Daughter Juliana Arielle Winslow was born in August of 2013.
On June 7 of 2018, just a week before Winslow’s arrest for these very serious charges, he was arrested fleeing an Encinitas, California mobile home park.
At the time, he was only charged with felony first degree burglary.
The exact accusations against him remain unclear, as does the timeline for how the alleged burglary connects to … everything else.
But these are deeply disturbing and disgusting allegations.
It is believed that they come from at least two different women, but a lot of details are still up in the air.
We imagine that we will all know more very soon as this sickening story unfolds.
Our hearts go out to any victims of sexual violence in this case and beyond.
Sex crimes are some of the most vicious and evil deeds that a person can commit, and recovery for survivors can take a lifetime.
We also extend our sympathies to Winslow’s wife and children. This week, their lives changed forever through no fault of their own.
Many people have already taken to social media to express their sadness that Janelle and her children are caught up in alleged crimes that they have not committed.

Nick Gordon Arrested for Domestic Assault, Kidnapping
Nick Gordon, the ex-boyfriend of Whitney Houston’s late daughter, is once again in major trouble with the law.
According to multiple outlets, Gordon was arrested on Saturday afternoon in Sanford, Florida and charged with beating up his girlfriend.
TMZ reports the incident in question sent Gordon’s unnamed lover to the hospital and that it took place on Friday night.
Law enforcement officials say the girlfriend filed a report at the police station hours after being released from the care of doctors, alleging that she’d been battered and not permitted to leave her residence.
When officers arrived at Gordon’s home, they found Nick at the pool area.
Prison records from the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office illustrate that Gordon was booked for felony domestic violence and false imprisonment of an adult.
Gordon has a checkered history.
He was taken in by Houston when he was young after his parents fell out of the picture.
Although the singer never formally adopted Gordon, she raised the young man as her own child.
He grew especially close to Whitney and Bobby Brown’s only biological child as a result and started to date Bobbi Kristina when both were teenagers.
At one point, it was believed they were married.
In January of 2015, Bobbi fell into a coma from which she never awoke, finally passing away in July of that year.
The cause of death was originally sealed due to a criminal investigation, but later revealed to be the result of pneumonia caused by water immersion and drug intoxication.
Many pointed a singer in Gordon’s direction at the time, with insiders saying he often supplied Bobbi with drugs and was reportedly even present at the time of her death.
In a subsequent wrongful death lawsuit, a conservator for Brown’s estate accused Gordon of physically and emotionally abusing Bobbi prior to allegedly dragging her to the bathtub, where she was later found face-down and unconscious.
In September, Gordon was found legally responsible for Bobbi’s death and ordered to pay $ 36 million as a result of this ruling.
This $ 36 million judgment included $ 15 million for present value of life… $ 13.8 million for pain and suffering … and $ 1.37 million for assault and battery.
The lawsuit had alleged Brown “died due to a violent altercation” with Gordon, “after which he placed her in a bathtub, unconscious, after he injected her with a toxic mixture.”
Said an attorney for Brown’s estate soon after Gordon failed to show up in front of a judge and was found to, basically, have killed Bobbi Kristina:
“In court today, we finally finished a long journey for justice for Bobbi Kristina Brown.”
Added Bobbi’s aunt at the time:
“It’s been a long time. They should have been gotten him. He should have been arrested. He’s ignorant; he’s arrogant. He thinks he’s above the law.
“He’s not.”
And now Gordon may very well learn this lesson once again.
UPDATE: We’ve learned the girlfriend’s name is Laura and TMZ has posted photos of her badly bruised arm, allegedly a result of Gordon’s actions.
Gordon, who has always maintained his innocence when it comes to Bobbi’s passing, is yet to comment on his latest legal troubles.

Teen Mom 2 Season 7 Episode 2 Recap: Custody Wars and Kidnapping
Last night on Teen Mom 2 Season 7 Episode 2, Jenelle Evans actually tried to charge her ex-fiance with kidnapping their young son.
This would be shocking if we were talking about anyone not named Jenelle Evans. But that’s not even the craziest thing that went down …
If you watch Teen Mom 2 online, you are keenly aware of the … intense history between Jenelle and her former partner Nathan Griffith.
Well, the drama was ramped up to a new level this week when Jenelle let son Kaiser spend time with Nathan’s mother. What happened?
Nathan came over, then took the kid to Boston, sending Evans into a panic (and into a blinding rage). The Carolina Hurricane ranted:
“I feel like my son has been taken from me, like I’m never gonna get my son back. I really feel like my son has been kidnapped somewhere.”
Worse yet? Nathan’s girlfriend cut Kaiser’s hair.
“That’s his first haircut, and I wanna be there for that. I want to take pictures and stuff. Don’t touch my child’s f–king hair,” Jenelle said.
“Jessica cut his f–king hair. Look at his bangs. Cut my f–king child’s hair? Really? She’s a f–king hairstylist, Tori. I’m so heated right now.”
Making things worse, Jenelle couldn’t file a complaint against Nathan or Jessica due to not having a written custody agreement in place.
Jenelle ended up calling Nathan to proclaim that he would see her in court … ironic, since she was later arrested for assaulting Jessica.
Meanwhile, over in South Dakota, Chelsea Houska was getting ALL THE FEELS about a potential proposal from beau Cole DeBoer.
“I feel like I’m gonna know if it’s gonna happen,” the mother of Aubree said, and if Cole did ask her to marry him, “I’d probably say yes.”
So cute, but there’s the Adam Lind factor.
Chelsea’s deadbeat ex wants more time with their little girl, and says he can drive now (way to go, dude). He has a license and everything!
The Housk responded by taking the train wreck to court for more child support, saying, “I guarantee he’s gonna have a bitch fit about this.”
Does feel like a safe bet with Adam Lind.
Back on the East Coast, Kailyn Lowry’s husband Javi Marroquin announced that he might be deployed overseas for six whole months.
“With me possibly leaving, I just wanna make sure I spend my free time with the ones I care about and enjoy,” Marroquin told Lowry.
And not seeing those he doesn’t.
“I’m not really worried about dinner with Jo and Vee,” he said, referring to her previous baby daddy Jo Rivera and his GF Vee Torres.
Jo and Vee, meanwhile, welcomed their own bundle of joy this week, and the little girl triggered a major case of baby fever … for Javi.
Condoms, guys. Condoms.
Finally, in the closing moments, Leah Messer lost custody to Corey Simms after a drawn-out battle for control over the former couple’s twins.
“This is what’s gonna build [the twins] to be a mature adult that’s gonna succeed in life, that’s gonna go places,” Corey said, celebrating.
“I want them to talk about college … I’m tickled pink that it happened,” Simms gushed after he was named the girls’ primary caretaker.
We didn’t get to see her reaction to the moment of truth, but earlier, she admitted, “I just have a lot of fear of the future and what it holds.”
The court seems to agree, and although she has turned things around lately, there are still some real concerns about Leah’s parenting.
