Michelle Duggar: SLAMMED For Negligent Parenting!

Michelle Duggar is a busy woman.

In addition to being the mother of an astonishing twenty children, Michelle is the queen of a multi-million dollar media empire.

Of course, there are times when these two aspects of Michelle’s life come into direct conflict with one another, and they collided in a major way last week.

Michelle was invited to address a group of mothers at a religious retreat.

She wrote about the experience on Facebook, and some fans took issue with the reality star’s comments:

“As a busy mom with a growing family through the years, I never imagined me being the one to talk to crowds! My days were filled with all the daily chores of being a mom,” Michelle wrote.

“Yet, I am so thankful for the opportunity to share our story with others and encourage moms in their faith, their marriages and raising their children.”

Seems innocent enough, right?

Unfortunately for Michelle, pretty much nothing she does is above criticism.

The issue this time is that many fans believe the Duggar matriarch is not as busy as she claims.

Michelle is known for having her older kids assist with parenting duties.

It’s a controversial method that she calls the buddy system.

So in addition to their extensive lists of chores the older Duggar kids who are still at home are each assigned one younger child to look after.

Jana Duggar seems to have been burdened with the majority of the house

“I love the show but let’s face it you couldn’t have raised such a big family without the older girls who did so much of the work,” wrote one fan.

“It is not a child’s job to be a mom for the younger siblings,” another remarked.

“A child should do chores, have fun and go to school, homework is their job, not to be a mom’s replacement just because the parents were so selfish that they decided to have child after child.”

“Wow I absolutely do not agree that a baby at 6 [months] should be weaned and then you work on its replacement,” a third remarked, adding:

“Having older daughters help is one thing but to just basically adopt out your infant is ridiculous.”

Obviously, Michelle hasn’t responded to the backlash, and as Duggar controversies go, this one is pretty minor.

Still, it points to a growing trend that’s likely got the whole family feeling a little uneasy these days.

With just days to go until the premiere of Counting On Season 7, fans are not as forgiving of the Duggars flaws as they once were.

That could mean trouble for a family whose livelihood depends on their reputation.

Watch Counting On online to get caught up in time for what may well be the show’s final season.

Jenelle Evans Fires Back at Fans Over Negligent Parenting Claims

Every cast member on Teen Mom 2 has been on the receiving end of some harsh criticism from fans.

But perhaps no one has taken as much flak (or clapped back as savagely) as Jenelle Evans.

In the past, Jenelle, like her co-stars, has blamed MTV editors for her plight, complaining that TM2 producers go out of their way to make her look like a negligent and unfit mother.

In some cases, however, Jenelle can’t point the finger at the show, as fans often draw their conclusions from the information that she provides about her personal life.

Like the rest of the moms, Jenelle is something of a social media junkie.

Unlike the other ladies, however, Jenelle has an arrest record a mile long, a history of violent behavior, and her mother has custody of her eldest son.

Needless to say, she makes for an easy target, and her tendency to over-share on Instagram, on Twitter, and in interviews doesn’t do much to help her case.

Her latest conflict with fans started last week, when Jenelle announced that she would be appearing on the Teen Mom 2 live after-show.

The scheduled appearance required her to travel to Los Angeles, which wouldn’t be a big deal, were it not for the fact that Jenelle just gave birth to her third child in January.

Jenelle was slammed by fans for leaving her daughter (who was then just a month old) in order to fly across the country for a television show.

To make matters worse, Jenelle missed her appearance and decided to stay in LA an extra week to appear on this Monday’s episode of the after-show.

Needless to say, the decision didn’t sit well with fans, many of whom speculated that Jenelle missed Monday’s show because she’d lapsed back into substance abuse.

Now, in a new interview with Radar Online, Jenelle is explaining herself in a way that probably won’t satisfy her many haters:

“I didn’t want to come on this trip to LA, but I had to because of work,” Evans tells the site.

“I put up a big fight for a week and they told me it was a huge deal for me to go. The producer was even calling my phone asking me to go.”

She added:

“After finding out I could have stayed home like Chelsea [Houska], I have changed my flight instead of staying for this upcoming live show. MTV has still asked me to stay, but I told them I’m leaving no matter what I’m told.”

Not surprisingly, the explanation didn’t win Jenelle many converts especially after Chelsea Houska contradicted Evans and pointed out that MTV would never force a new mom to travel against her will.

“I’m sure MTV would FORCE a 5-week postpartum mom to do an after show,” tweeted one user.

“I hear Jenelle is staying in Cali until the next after show… 10 consecutive days away from baby. That baby doesn’t know her,” commented another.

Gonna be tough for Jenelle to blame this one on editing.

Kailyn Lowry: Slammed By Fans Negligent Parenting

Kailyn Lowry has a lot on her plate these days.

In addition to her on-camera duties as one of the stars of Teen Mom 2, Kailyn has a book to promote; she’s a full-time college student; and the bulk of the hosting duties for this season’s live after-shows have fallen to her and Leah Messer, as Jenelle Evans and Chelsea Houska both have infants at home.

Despite all of that, however, it seems Kail is looking to fill up her schedule even more – and now some fans are wondering if she’s making sufficient time for her two sons.

Last night, Kailyn asked her Twitter followers if she should embark on a book tour to promote her memoir, Hustle & Heart.

While most were in favor of the idea, several expressed concerns about Kailyn giving her kids and her education short shrift due to her many professional commitments.

“The thing is she’ll be gone from her kids even more now just to have an extra buck in her pocket poor kids

“Don’t you have school to finish? Or is the book tour your chance to delay graduation again?”

Kail clapped back to the latter comment, tweeting:

“Ever heard of the weekend?”

Hey, it’s her life and she can manage her days however she pleases, but this must be the first time that we’ve ever heard a working single mom who’s enrolled in college classes boast about how much free time she has on weekends.

Obviously, accusing Teen Mom stars of negligent parenting has long been a favorite activity on Teen Mom Twitter, and the cast has complained about it repeatedly.

Kail’s kids seem well-adjusted, and she appears to have a strong support network, but it is difficult to imagine she could spread herself this thin and still devote herself fully to each of her endeavors.

Lowry might be getting annoyed by having to respond to the skeptical fans on social media, but at least there’s a bright side to the controversy over her hectic schedule:

It should overshadow all the rumors about Kailyn being pregnant with her third child.

That’s kind of a silver lining, right?

Watch Teen Mom 2 online to see Kailyn go H.A.M. on the daily.

But if you’re tempted to tweet time management suggestions, maybe hold off for a bit.

She seems to be getting a lot of that these days.

Leah Messer Criticized For Negligent Parenting, Bad Grammar

Leah Messer is on vacation at the moment, but as she’s currently learning the hard way, there’s no vacation from social media drama.

As you can see, she took her daughters with her, so you’d think we’d get a brief reprieve from claims that Leah is a negligent mom.

But no, the concern-trolling is real when it comes to Leah, and the angry moms come out of the woodwork pretty much every time she posts.

The pic above drew jeers and condemnation from some of her Instragram followers not because of the content, but because of the time it was posted.

Leah captioned the pic:

“Before bed, I couldn’t help but share! #MyFamily #AAA #summer2016 I love them so much!!”

Seems innocent enough, but the pic was posted at about 1 am California time (Leah and her kids are in Garden Grove at the moment) and many fans interpreted the caption to mean that Leah and her daughters posed for the pic at that time.

Others harkened back to the time that Leah rushed her kids off to school without breakfast, and suggested that if she didn’t stay up so late, perhaps she wouldn’t find it so difficult to wake up in the morning.

Sigh. Wisely, Leah has chosen not to respond.

Sadly, sometimes even if you don’t feed the trolls, they still multiply.

Around the same time last night, Leah also posted the photo above, along with a caption reading:

“A bond that will never be broke! A mother & her daughters!”

Leah’s questionable grammar prompted replies such as:

“You’re an inspiration but please learn English… your bond will never be broken not broke.”

“Try ‘a bond that will never be BROKEN’ moron”

We won’t even bother to point out that both of those sentences contain grammatical or punctuation errors.

But we will say you really need to chill, Internet commenters of the world.

You’re making us defend Leah Messer, and that’s just not cool.

Adam Lind: SLAMMED For Negligent Parenting! Find Out What He Did Now!

Adam Lind has long been regarded as one of the worst of the Teen Mom baby daddies, and if you’ve seen his competition, you know that’s really saying something.

Most of the criticism has revolved around Lind posting graphic sex photos online and generally being terrible to Chelsea Houska, but the latest controversy stems from what some fans believe to be proof that Lind recently put one of his daughters in harm’s way:

Lind spent some time with his girls – 6-year-old Aubree and 2-year-old Paislee – over the weekend, and based on the pics they hung out at some sort of indoor aquatic center.

The photo above riled up several fans who insisted that Lind risked Paislee’s life by not having her wear some sort of flotation device.

“Your other daughter needs a life jacket on!!” one commenter wrote.

“Chill she was sitting with me she literally never went a foot away from me,” Lind replied.

By then, of course, the die had been cast, and the debate was on.

Many fans came Lind’s defense, others slammed him for his irresponsibility.

“The fact that she didn’t have a life vest on was pretty ridiculous,” a source close to the situation tells Radar Online. “It takes two seconds for her to run into the pool when he’s not paying attention. Accidents happen all time.

“It is irresponsible. There are rules in place for children under a certain age for hot tubs. They aren’t supposed to go in for a reason. They do it for the safety of the child.”

This is the second time Lind’s parenting skills have been called into question in the past week.

On a recent episode of Teen Mom 2, Chelsea criticized Lind for posting what she felt was an inappropriate photo of Aubree.

Paislee is his daughter with Taylor Halbur, who has yet to speak out on this latest controversy.

Kailyn Lowry SLAMS Jo Rivera For Negligent Parenting!

Yesterday, we reported that Jo Rivera got engaged to Vee Torres, and his relationship with baby mama Kailyn Lowry is so amicable these days that the Teen Mom 2 star was among the first to offer the couple her congratulations.

But things weren’t always so friendly between the parents of 6-year-old Isaac.

One of the most memorable scenes of last night’s Teen Mom 2 Season 7 Episode 3 featured Kailyn losing it after learning that Jo had sent Isaac to school in his pajamas and without a bath.

“That’s really gross,” Kailyn ranted.“How Isaac is dressed and how people look at him is a direct reflection of us as parents. I’m already being judged times 10 because I was a teen parent.

“The last thing I need is for my son to look like he just rolled out of bed scratching his head and saying he hasn’t taken a bath since yesterday.”

When Kailyn and husband Javi Marroquin confronted Jo, things predictably turned ugly”

“It’s not okay for you to just show up,” Rivera screamed in a video shot on Kailyn’s cell phone. “When I say that’s not okay, that’s not okay.”

“You cursed me out as soon as I walked in!” Lowry shot back. “You said, ‘Get the f–k out of my house!’ I’m not okay with everything you’re doing because you don’t do anything!”

Marroquin got involved, prompting Rivera to shout, “Take care of your own f–king kid!”

“Obviously I’m worrying about your [child] cause you don’t do nothing!” Marroquin shot back.

All-in-all it was a reminder that even the relatively stable Teen Moms hit some pretty major rough patches now and then.

How to Get Away with Murder Season 2 Episode 3 Recap: Negligent Slut-Shaming

We learned all about a sexual position known as “The Octopus” on How to Get Away with Murder Season 2 Episode 3.

But that wasn’t all!

Questions were very much raised during the hour concerning the show’s main (and incestuous?!?) clients, Caleb and Catherine Hapstall, while we also learned that Nate and Wes may be in cahoots.

Awkward! Shocking! Confusing!

The Case of the Week centered on a sex-party proprietor accused of murdering a client with whom she was in love.

After discovering that this woman caused her lover to have a heart attack in order to expose their affair to his wife, Annalise lets loose with one of our favorite rants ever.

She calls her client a “negligent slut” and slams her for “giving those of us who really like sex a bad name.”

In the end, though, Annalise does get her client off. Because she’s just that good at her job.

We then move to a tabloid photo of Caleb and Catherine that raises the possibility that they act like far more than siblings at times. But they deny it.

The housekeeper was the one who leaked the picture and she insists it’s true… while also insisting they did kill their parents.

Elsewhere, parallel scenes reveal that Annalise nearly has sex with Nate (after he kills a rat in her basement) and with Nate (whose job she’s gotten back with the Philadelphia police department).

Neither boning happens, however, which takes us to seeing that Wes has paid a visit to Nate and that the men are working together. For reasons unknown.

“Why did they do it?” we see a wounded Annalise ask in this week’s flash forward.

Also in this week’s flash forward: The Keating Four flee the shooting scene and end up hitching a ride with Nate.

Elsewhere this week, while we look forward to How to Get Away with Murder Season 2 Episode 4:

  • Connor and Oliver are back to having sex.

  • Laurel takes up Frank on his offer to get to know him better, plying Bonnie with alcohol to get intel in the process.

  • Wes and Levi agree to team up in order to discover what happened to Rebecca, while Levi keeps up his seduction of Michaela.

  • Asher swipes Annalise’s memo recorder and and gives it to St. Clair, but she says his work for her is still not complete.

Take a look ahead at what’s on tap next Thursday and remember to visit TV Fanatic if you need to watch How to Get Away with Murder online:
