Escaping Polygamy: Reading Books Is Sinful! So Is Country Music!
Your heart breaks for the people featured on A&E"s Escaping Polygamy. One woman, Lizzy hasn"t seen her daughter in three years because the young girl is pure and Lizzy is not.
That is, according to the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Us Weekly featured a clip from the August 14th episode, in which Lizzy explained that her daughter, Julie was selected to be part of the United Order, a special group made up of only the church"s purest members.
Because of this, Lizzy is prohibited from seeing Julie, who is now 13.
"My oldest daughter, Julie, is the good girl — she"s very beautiful, inside and out," Lizzy said quietly during an interview.
"She"s always been my right-hand girl — she"s a hard worker, she"s sweet," Lizzy continued as photos of her beautiful daughter flashed across the screen.
"Of course, I haven"t seen her for three years, so she"s perfect."
What"s that, now?
It turns out that Lizzy has a whole list of sins for which she must repent, so until she is perfect, she is not allowed to see Julie.
Lizzy is not part of the United Order "because I"m not perfect — there"s things in my life that I need to repent of."
Like…?
"Like, I have a hard time waking up by 5 a.m., but I"m working on it."
Oh girl.
Lizzy talked about losing her mother at 13, something that still stings to this day, and how she knows that Julie needs her very badly.
But, Lizzy admits, she has a lot of work to do in order to become perfect.
"My mother used to read a lot, and I inherited that weakness," Lizzy admitted.
"Sometimes, I"ll find a novel, read it — I"ve been trying to overcome that."
"And my boy sometimes listens to country music," she added.

The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 1 Episode 7 Recap: Reading is Fundamental!
Last night on The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 1 Episode 7, Gizelle turned a quiet night of bonding into a loud night of arguing.
Standard, even in this etiquette-driven suburb.
The target of her wrath, of course, was Katie.
These two really don’t like each other, as you know if you watch The Real Housewives of Potomac online with any sort of regularity.
Not that it came without fallout, though. Oh no.
Suffice it to say, some of the other ladies were less than impressed with Gizelle after she started laying into her co-star at this event.
As such, they tried to get Katie to fight back.
Did she do just that? Was the diva put in her place? Were tables flipped and expletives thrown around? (We sort of wish, but it’s Potomac.)
Meanwhile this week, Ashley’s new romance looked like it could be DOA. That’s right. Was it over as quickly as it began for our girl?
We won’t give it away here, but she received some news that was truly shocking, and threatened to torpedo this love connection immediately.

29 Stars Give Dramatic Reading of Justin Bieber"s "Sorry"
We don’t know who came up with the following idea.
But we do know this: it may be the greatest thing we have ever seen on the Internet.
Vanity Fair recently compiled footage of 29 big-time stars staring down the camera and giving a dramatic reading of Justin Bieber"s smash hit single, "Sorry."
The video kicks off with a tear-filled Jon Hamm asking: "Is it too late to say I"m sorry that I don"t know the song, I"m Sorry" by Justin Bieber?"
But others clearly do (and/or they"ve been giving the lyrics), as Nick Jonas, John Legend, John Krasinski, Don Cheadle, Chelsea Handler, Ellen Page, Gabrielle Union and Chloe Sevigny (among others) are all seen below, doing their best Bieber impression.
Their shirts remain on. And they don"t have any tattoos.
But they do pour all of their hearts and every bit of their soul into their readings.
Bieber recently said this track was not a general apology for his behavior, but rather that it was about a girl.
According to Vanity Fair, meanwhile, the production was an homage to W Magazine"s star-filled rendition of Drake"s Hotline Bling.
