Carrie Underwood Got 50 Stitches in Her Face! OUCH!

Back in November, during a tribute to the victims of last year’s horrific Las Vegas shooting, Carrie Underwood broke down on stage.

About a week later, meanwhile, the former American Idol champion announced she had broken her wrist in a fall and needed to undergo surgery for the injury.

Tweeted Underwood at the time:

“I just wanted let everyone know that I’m doing great. Had surgery on my wrist yesterday & all went well…even though I’ll be setting off airport metal detectors from now on…

“I’m so thankful for the doctors, nurses, family & friends who’ve been taking such great care of me.”

Over the weekend, however, the beloved singer penned a lengthy blog post on her official fansite that opened up on further detail about this injury, detailing how the accident affected another important body part as well:

Her face.

“There is also another part of the story that I haven’t been ready to talk about, since I have still been living it and there has been much uncertainty as to how things will end up,” the artist wrote in this New Year’s Eve post, which we’ve shared below.

“It’s crazy how a freak random accident can change your life. In addition to breaking my wrist, I somehow managed to injure my face as well.”

Underwood went on to say she would spare supporters the “gruesome details” of what transpired and what had to be done in respond – but added that the doctor said he had put “between 40-50 stitches in.”

Yikes, right?!?

“Now, here we are 7 weeks later and, even though I’ve had the best people helping me, I’m still healing and not quite looking the same,” Underwood continued in her very candid latter, admitting:

“I honestly don’t know how things are going to end up …”

Underwood, whose last studio album was released in 2015, said she’s working on fresh material.

She’s excited about the music, but apprehensive about her appearance.

“When I am ready to get in front of a camera, I want you all to understand why I might look a bit different,” she said.

“I’m hoping that, by then, the differences are minimal, but, again, I just don’t know how it’s all going to end up.”

The only social media photo Underwood has shared of herself since the accident is posted at the outset of this article, as it features the superstar in a full-on face scarf.

Days after co-hosting the Country Music Awards in November, she fell down steps outside her Tennessee house, breaking her wrist and prompting her to cancel an appearance at a fundraising concert for hurricane victims and those affected by the Las Vegas shooting.

We admire her honesty in this blog post, don’t you?

It’s a reminder that celebrities are very much normal people, concerned about their appearances and about how they’ll be received by others when simply walking down the street.

We’ve always adored Underwood for how she’s managed to keep it real in the face of enormous success.

And no matter how her face looks, Underwood will always have an amazing body.

We’re just kidding. (Not entirely, of course, she does have an amazing body.)

It’s what’s on the inside that counts, not the outside, and Carrie has made it clear she has a beautiful inside in every way possible.

Farrah Abraham Remembers Derek Underwood in Heartbreaking Tribute

Look, Farrah Abraham is awful. She’s really, truly just not a great person.

Like, at all.

But under that rough exterior, if you look past her rudeness and her inability to speak to literally anyone with the smallest amount of respect, you’ll see that she’s kind of a broken person.

Sure, she’s still awful, but she’s been through stuff, you know?

She’s hinted at some major trauma she experienced in her childhood, and we’ve seen on Teen Mom OG how bad her mother, Debra Danielsen, can be.

And then there’s the tragic story of her relationship with Derek Underwood.

Derek was Farrah’s high school boyfriend — and he’s also Sophia’s father.

They had a pretty dramatic relationship, as you’d expect with a couple of teenagers (one being Farrah Abraham). As she revealed in her book, her parents hated him.

At one point, her father caught them having sex in her bedroom and she claimed that he chased him out of the house with a knife.

Because of all those shenanigans, her parents wouldn’t allow her to see him, and so when he passed away in a car accident during her pregnancy, she’d never told him that he was going to be a dad.

If you watched the early seasons of Teen Mom, you know she really struggled with losing Derek.

And if you didn’t catch those old episodes, then all you have to do is check out this touching message Farrah wrote to Derek in an Instagram post commemorating the anniversary of his death.

Then you’ll see the heartache.

Along with a photo of his headstone, she wrote “In loving remembrance to Derek Underwood, 12/28/2008 father, son, nephew, cousin, friend, and so much more.”

“December 28th comes every year when we review all of our love, great memories, share stories and know how special Derek was and how all the special and highly favored charisma passed on to Sophia.”

(Yes, it doesn’t exactly make sense, but she’s trying, OK?)

“This past year Sophia was bullied for not having a father at her old public school,” she continued. “I thought why would any child not understand that’s out of ones control and no one would ask for that.”

“In a world full of ignorance and wrong doing I’m happy to say my daughter knows her truth and has strength in that beyond the ignorance.”

Farrah also touched on her troubled relationship with MTV, writing “This year I saw an employer long time production and my mother try to use my loss as their gain for heartache and to act as though they cared about my health and supported the struggles of the loss of Derek I go though …”

“But for years they could not let it be at peace as nothing needs to be relived and this year of review has spoken for those who can not live life peacefully with you and support your growth and are not excited for your future and living better, happier, healthier are no longer welcome.”

In a piece of advice for the team behind Teen Mom, she said “Don’t ever manipulate or take advantage of a mother or child as they go through loss & challenges it’s disgustingly evil.”

She also wrote “Thank you Daddy Derek for always watching over us and this year we’re at peace and happy with the loving support of family who live by this and we’re in loving spirits on our Hong Kong trip as Derek would love the heights & the water of Hong Kong island as he did of his rock queries.”

She closed her message “with love” from “Farrah & Sophia for those who want peace, life, love, happiness and a new chapter.”

Again, a lot of this doesn’t really make much sense at all.

But it’s obvious that Farrah really feels some deep, complicated feelings about what happened with Derek, and losing a boyfriend like that at such a young age must have been devastating.

Carrie Underwood Breaks Down During Tribute to Shooting Victims

At the beginning of October, the Last Vegas shooting claimed 59 lives and left hundreds more wounded.

Many of the victims were Country music fans, as they had been attending a concert. It"s only fitting that the Country Music Association Awards acknowledge the terrible loss, over a month later.

As you"ll see in the beautiful tribute video below, Carrie Underwood had a little trouble keeping it together while honoring the fallen. Can you blame her?

Before we get into the sad stuff (again, this shooting may feel like it was months ago, but it was at the beginning of October), let"s talk about something else that"s still very on-topic.

Now, obviously, the Country Music Association Awards are a big deal and a major event within the world of Country Music.

So of course Carrie Underwood wanted to look her best.

But did she really need to, as the youths say, snatch us bald like this?

Just look at how wildly, aggressively stunning she looks!

We"re going to be haunted (in a great way) by this photo for a while. It"s hard to get over such a stunning look.

Carrie Underwood actually sported a number of looks during the Country Music Association Awards, wearing white during her performance.

Standing alongside Brad Paisley, Carrie wore a strunning, deep red (pretty much a burgundy) that covered a lot but still looked amazing.

No look — of hers or anyone else"s — could top her shoulder-baring cobalt dress. She looked like a work of art.

Tastefully, she chose her least distracting outfit for her tribute performance, as you"ll see in the video below.

(We say tastefully not because there"s anything wrong with looking your best, but because a tribute performance is, well, not about you)

Speaking at the even in Nashville, Carrie Underwood spoke to the crowd and to the audience at home:

"This has been a year marked by tragedy impacting countless lives including so many in our country music family."

Every family was impacted, but Country was certainly included, as so many of the Las Vegas shooting victims were Jason Aldean fans.

"So, tonight we"re gonna do what families do: come together, pray together, and cry together, too."

That"s not universal for families, but it"s a beautiful sentiment.

Carrie performed a song titled "Softly and Tenderly," and her vocals were incredible — but she didn"t showboat at all. Again, she knows that this is all about the victims.

It is also important to note that the Las Vegas shooting victims were not the only victims being honored.

Storms have ravaged multiple cities in 2017, with record-breaking hurricanes causing untold devastation.

Parts of the US, including Houston and Puerto Rico, have yet to fully recover from the devastation.

It will take these communities and families much longer to recover from the loss of life.

Carrie clearly couldn"t help but think about all of this as she performed, which is why she nearly lost her professional composure in this video.

Carrie Underwood Looks HOT, Abs-Tastic in a Bikini

Carrie Underwood — she’s beautiful, and we all know her as “that woman who’s a Country singer but not the one who had a sitcom and not the one who cheated on Blake Shelton.”

But while you can pretty much rely upon Carrie Underwood to serve up looks on the runway, it turns out that there’s more to her than singing talent and an eye for a captivating dress.

She looks unbearably good in a bikini.

Carrie Underwood captioned the photo:

“Sunshine = [check] Lake = [check] @caliabycarrie swimsuit = [check] Happiness and love for time with family and friends = [5 checks]”

Don’t worry — she very much posted the photo of herself in the swimsuit.

It’s from her own collection, of course — what good is being famous and hot without branding?

She didn’t limit herself to a checklist.

“Summertime is all about love … love for people, love for the outdoors, and love for living in the moment! Get out there and relax! [5 hearts] PS: #NoFilter”

We don’t see much to love about summertime, when the oppressive heat and the glowing hate orb rule the day (and the heat lingers overnight).

But we see plenty to love about the photo that Carrie posted along with that line.

Dang, girl!

Save some of that hotness for the rest of us!

No, but seriously.

Carrie Underwood can clearly rock a bikini.

Anybody can have a bikini body, don’t get us wrong.

(Just have a body and put a bikini on it — tah-dah!)

But not everyone can so easily look so stunning while wearing one.

She’s showing off abs, nicely toned arms, and legs for days.

We don’t even normally think of apricot or peach or salmon as great colors for swimsuits unless your skin is super dark, as Carrie’s is definitely not.

But she still looks amazing.

Carrie Underwood’s been having a reasonably good year.

She took home a couple of awards at the Country Music Awards.

While rumors last year had Carrie Underwood heading for divorce from her husband, Mike Fisher, that doesn’t seem to have been the case.

In fact, the couple celebrated their seven year wedding anniversary just a little over a week ago.

If they ever did split up, she could get anyone she wanted — because she looks incredible and is just the total package, right?

But, clearly, Mike Fisher would have to be nuts to let her go.

We may not be big on loving the outdoors during the summer …

(And we’re not crazy about living in the moment, either — when we can agonize over any and all future scenarios while planning out our lives during our every waking moment that isn’t spent regretting the past)

… But we’re totally here for her summer message: relax.

If you go on vacation, please actually enjoy it.

Vacations aren’t for torturing yourself with nonstop activities that you’re doing out of a misguided sense of obligation.

Just … chill.

(Preferably with some air conditioning, unless you love summer weather as much as Carrie Underwood clearly does)

Farrah Abraham Pays Tribute to Derek Underwood, Is So Depressing

Farrah Abraham is just so awful. All the time. Just the worst. The absolute worst.

And yeah, everybody says that all the time about her, but it"s just because it"s so intensely true.

For many people, it could be the truest thing they"ve ever known. The sun rises in the east, sets in the west, and Farrah Abraham is a human pile of garbage and porn and disappointment.

These are irrefutable facts.

But while Farrah is horrible, she"s still human, and the vast majority of humans are capable of being OK sometimes.

They"re at least capable of stirring some sympathy in other, less terrible souls, and believe it or not, that"s what Farrah"s doing in this new video she shared.

In the video, she and Sophia discuss "Daddy Derek," also known as Derek Underwood: the guy Farrah dated in high school.

He knocked her up, they broke up, then he tragically died in a car accident on December 28th, 2008.

Farrah was still pregnant at the time of his death, so Sophia never got to meet her father. And regardless of what you think about the most heinous Teen Mom of them all, that"s incredibly sad.

Farrah says that she and Sophia have special ways of honoring his memory during this time of year, and honestly, it"s enough to bring a tear to your eye.

Aly Raisman & Colton Underwood: Dating!

Back in August, Aly Raisman was second only to Simon Biles as the most popular superhuman in a leotard.

Not surprisingly, she received many a romantic proposition from young men on social media, but (as far as we know) only one was from a professional football player.

San Diego Chargers tight end Colton Underwood asked Raisman out via video chat, and she agreed to a date with the 24-year-old.

On Monday night, Colton and Aly attended the Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year event and confirmed that they are officially a couple.

Aly told reporters that she and Colton have been dating since they attended the VMAs together back in August.

Hell of a first date!

She also said that she’ll be spending the holidays with Colton and his family in Indiana.

Though Underwood publicly asked Raisman out online, the idea that they would make a great couple was first suggested by a pair of mutual friends.

Underwood’s former teammate Andrew East is married to retired American gymnast Shawn Johnson.

The couple talked up Colton and Aly to one another, but instead of simply shooting her a text, Underwood decided that an old school (albeit high-tech) romantic gesture was in order.

He asked Aly out shortly after she and her teammates dominated at the Rio Olympics.

Though the VMAs constituted their first official date, the couple met up for brief hangout shortly after Colton posted his video:

“We happened to both be in Denver at the same time,” she said.

“I was there for less than 12 hours, he was flying in for just a few days. It just ended up working perfectly.”

It seems the pair hit it off quickly.

In the weeks after the VMAs, Underwood reportedly drove 90 minutes round trip to meet up with Aly on multiple occasions.

Asked about her future with Underwood, Raisman declined to go into specifics, but stated that she’s excited for things to come:

“I’m just looking forward to 2017,” Raisman shared. “I think it’s going to be an exciting year for everyone.”

Did Aly really just jinx 2017? Damn.

… But most of those folks can’t sing, and this BS has been going on for a lot longer than 50 years, which is the CMAs running tally, and wholly more impressive than this year’s election. 

Carrie continued, and announced the winner of the Entertainer of the Year, while Brad rallied behind her shouted “Lies! Crooked Carrie!” imitating Trump’s continued assault on Hillary Clinton. 

He interrupted her, and said, “I love all of you [nominees], but hashtag, ‘I’m with Carrie,’ ” referencing Clinton’s campaign slogan.  

He wasn’t done there, though. 

“What I think doesn’t really matter [though], because this show is rigged,” he said. 

“Bigly.”  

LOL. 

When asked if Paisley would accept the evening’s results, Brad quipped, “Yes, if I win.”  

Side note: Paisley wasn’t even nominated for anything, unlike Trump, who, sadly forever and ever, was.

Paisley then called Carrie a “nasty woman,” and said that he would not, in fact, accept the awards show’s results.  

The gift basket? 

It was called a “bag of deplorables,” of course, which included beer goggles and all things camouflage, as well as orange soda (?). 

All in all the segment was pretty entertaining … and to be honest, we’re pretty surprised that there was more Trump-mocking than there was Hillary-bashing, considering the country demographic, which historically leans toward a more conservative candidate. 

Not that Trump is conservative in any way, shape, or form … and that’s probably why he just doesn’t resonate with anybody but the crazies. 

It’s definitely Los Angeles in the deep south right now, because we’re still not in Kansas after all, friends.

Carrie Underwood Without Makeup: Unrecognizable, Still Hot

Even if you’re not a fan of her music, you’ve probably been seeing a lot of Carrie Underwood lately.

During NBC’s Olympics coverage, the singer seemed to pop up crooning about the importance of Sunday night football at just about every commercial break.

The network is trying to make Sunday night into the new Monday night for NFL fans, and they’ve been clinging to the effort for years, like Gretchen Wieners trying to make “fetch” happen.

No one’s “waitin’ all day for Sunday night,” NBC! There’s football all day on Sunday!

Anyway, Carrie Underwood.

She’s been the voice of the network’s NFL broadcast for several seasons now, and that’s not the only way that sports plays a big role in her life.

She’s been married to hockey player Mike Fisher for six years now.

The couple recently celebrated their wedding anniversary in Mexico.

And of course, anyone who’s taken notice of the 33-year-old’s physique recently can tell that she’s no stranger to the gym.

And when Carrie works out, she goes hard, as evidenced by her latest selfie:

“I’m a sweaty mess, but I’m a sweaty mess in an adorable tank!” Underwood captioned the pic, giving a (possibly sponsored) shou-out to the designer of her top.

As you can see, it’s not the usual glammed-up Carrie were used to seeing on stage (and in commercials).

But not surprisingly, she still looks great.

Clearly married life, motherhood and a grueling work schedule agree with Carrie.

She’s one of those people who seem constantly busy, yet are still in flawless shape.

Carrie credits her veganism and, we’re sure. her work ethic when it comes to burning calories.

The whole thing would be very annoying if she weren’t so damn likable.

Amidst all of this, she still finds time to support important charities and speak out in favor of animal rights legislation.

And of course, by all accounts, she’s one of the nicest celebs out there.

Why are we not surprised?

Like we said, so great she’s almost annoying.

Carrie Underwood Really Loves Mike Fisher: Read Her Tribute!

Carrie Underwood is singing a very happy tune these days.

And she knows the exact person to thank for it.

The American Idol Season 4 winner spent the weekend in Mexico on vacation, celebrating their six-year anniversary at one point on the trip.

Underwood acknowledged the special occasion with a heartfelt Instagram post directed to her husband.

“Six years ago today, I said ‘I do’ to this handsome fella. I meant it then and I mean it now,” she wrote as a caption to the above image.

It features the singer and the hockey player holding hands at a very cool and gorgeous dinner spot.

“God put us together and continues to bless our marriage,” Underwood added.

For the past week or so, one of the most stable couples in Hollywood has been enjoying some much needed rest and relaxation in Cabo San Lucas.

Fisher is taking a rest from playing hockey for the Nashville Predators, as the NHL season came to an end this spring.

Underwood, meanwhile, is enjoying her own mini hiatus from the Storyteller Tour: Stories in the Round.

She’s coming off an amazing performance at the CMT Awards about a month ago.

Of course, while Underwood counts herself as lucky for being with Fisher, it’s clear that he’s rather fortunate as well.

It"s really cute that any other artist bothers to show up for the CMT Awards every year, despite Carrie Underwood"s total and complete domination at the event.

On Wednesday night, the beloved former American Idol winner took home trophies for Performance of the Year and Female Video of the Year.

These victories brought her career total at the ceremony to 16, more than any other singer.

But Underwood didn"t merely take to the stage to thank people for her big wins.

She also went up there on one occasion to sing the track "Church Bells."

The performance started slow, with the blonde-haired superstar decked out in a sheer black lace jumpsuit and cape while singing to the music of a solo banjo player on a mostly empty stage.

However, Underwood then brought attendees to their feet, flipping off the aforementioned cape as the stage revealed a full band and gospel choir.

Her commanding vocals and unique style led to a standing ovation.

"I want to thank you guys for coming out and supporting country music on tour," the beauty said, while accepting her Performance of the Year award.

"We"ve spent the first part of the year on the road and it"s just been so wonderful to see so many people come out. I know I speak for everybody out there – all of us artists who say you guys are the reason that we get to do what we get to do.

"Thank you so much for coming out and supporting us in concert. God bless you guys."

But Underwood didn"t merely take to the stage to thank people for her big wins.

She also went up there on one occasion to sing the track "Church Bells."

The performance started slow, with the blonde-haired superstar decked out in a sheer black lace jumpsuit and cape while singing to the music of a solo banjo player on a mostly empty stage.

However, Underwood then brought attendees to their feet, flipping off the aforementioned cape as the stage revealed a full band and gospel choir.

Her commanding vocals and unique style led to a standing ovation.

"I want to thank you guys for coming out and supporting country music on tour," the beauty said, while accepting her Performance of the Year award.

"We"ve spent the first part of the year on the road and it"s just been so wonderful to see so many people come out. I know I speak for everybody out there – all of us artists who say you guys are the reason that we get to do what we get to do.

"Thank you so much for coming out and supporting us in concert. God bless you guys."

Carrie Underwood: PISSED at Kelly Clarkson Over American Idol Finale!!

Carrie Underwood is the highest earning American Idol winner of all time, and you better recognize!

Unfortunately, the producers at Idol didn’t give the country sensation the attention she felt she deserved on the show’s finale last night, and is throwing a fit.

Even though Underwood gave a solo performance of “Something in the Water” and sung a duet with country star and Idol judge Keith Urban, she felt rival Kelly Clarkson got the better deal.

Clarkson, the first winner in Idol history and the show’s second most successful alum, was given a full segment on the program to perform a medley of her greatest hits.

“Carrie said she just felt like she should have gotten the same type of treatment that Kelly did since she is the big money-maker from the show,” a production source told Radar Online.

The source also alleged that Underwood was peeved about having to do the duet with Urban.

“Carrie caused serious drama with the final production of the show because she flipped out that she was stuck doing a duet when she has a tour and so many things to promote right now,” revealed the source.

Carrie, girl, you’re worth $ 75 million thanks to American Idol. Perhaps you can go back to your lavish home and designer boots and rest happy with that knowledge.

Colette Lush: Is She the Next Carrie Underwood?

Might we be looking at the next American Idol?

Yes, it"s early. Yes, the opening set of auditions only just concluded.

But you must take a look at the way in which Colette Lush blew away the judges in California.

In the following video, we see the 19-year-old girl belting out "Who"s Loving You" by the Jackson 5.

Along with a sense of humor (she joked that natural redheads will allegedly go extinct by 2030), Lush made quite the impression via her effortless, pitch perfect rendition of the classic track.

As Lush sang the single, Jennifer Lopez whispered to Keith Urban:

“I feel like Carrie Underwood just walked in here."

And then once Lush finished, Lopez had a single word for her: wow.

“You really have potential to do well in this competition,” added Lopez, while Keith Urban liked that Lush doesn"t “sound like anyone” else out there, gushing over the aspiring singer and saying:

“You’ve got a timeless quality."

Needless to say, Lush advanced to Hollywood with unanimous approval.

She still has a very long way to go. The show, in its final season of course, still has a very long way to go until it crowns a champion in May.

But we promise you this: you will hear from Colette Lush again.
