Weinstein Scandal: Which Powerful Men Are Accused of Sexual Misconduct?
Following accusations of sexual harassment and rape, Harvey Weinstein has lost his job and his family. Given that the LAPD is investigating him, he may even lose his freedom.
What began as a scandal over one mega-producer"s alleged sexual misconduct has taken on a powerful life of its own.
Countless women — and men — came forward and shared their #MeToo stories, talking about incidents in childhood or adulthood in which they were sexually harassed or assaulted. In many cases, these individuals had held onto stories, afraid or ashamed to share them, for years or even decades.
The average #MeToo story comes from everyday people and often don"t name the people who wronged them. Many don"t even know the men"s names.
However, a number of celebrities and non-celebrities alike have come forward and their #MeToo stories are naming the names of powerful men.
Directors, producers, and actors who have for years used social pressure, Hollywood culture, wealth, and celebrity status to remain above reproach are suddenly being called out so loudly that even they cannot ignore it.
It"s not fun to wonder if someone you once admired might be next, but surely we would all rather know the truth than to live in blissful ignorance.
Some of these powerful men have admitted to having done wrong. Others are fiercely denying the allegations against them, even when it"s their word against dozens — or more.
It seems that more accused sexual predators are named every day, so here"s a running list of the powerful figures who have been called out for alleged sexual misconduct.
1. Harvey Weinstein
We of course could not make this list without including the titular figure in the Weinstein scandal. This mega-producer has lost his job and his wife over accusations of sexual harassment and sexual assault. Multiple famous actresses have shared their Weinstein stories. He’s also under investigation by the LAPD. His public downfall has encouraged countless others to come forward.
2. Brett Ratner
Though not the only X-Men director to have been accused of sexual misconduct, Brett Ratner has been accused of sexual harassment and sexual assaults going back decades, and well-known actresses have spoken out and accused him of some very upsetting things.
3. Louis C.K.
Years ago, rumors sprouted up about an unnamed big-name comedian who seemed to enjoy masturbating in front of women he worked with. Several of those women came forward and named Louis C.K. … and though he didn’t quite say the word “sorry,” Louis did acknowledge that their stories were true.
4. Ed Westwick
Former Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick has been accused by two different actresses with frighteningly similar stories. Both allege that they were at his house and invited to sleep in guest beds, only to awaken to Westwick allegedly sexually assaulting them. Both women say that people they considered friends urged them to keep quiet. It’s heartbreaking.
5. Steven Seagal
Jenny McCarthy says that Steven Seagal encouraged her to disrobe during a casting call … when she was acting out a courtroom scene. Former actress Lisa Guerrero (who is now a journalist) says that Seagal had her audition at his home while he appeared to be wearing only a robe, and that she’s glad that she brought along someone else. And now Portia de Rossi says that Steven Seagal once “unzipped” in front of her. These are very disturbing allegations.
6. Andy Dick
Andy Dick was fired from a project over allegations of sexual harassment, including genital groping and … licking people. Andy Dick’s defense, a claim that licking people on the face after kissing them is “his thing,” isn’t helping. If “your thing” is making people uncomfortable, you probably should find a new thing.

Uma Thurman: See Her INCREDIBLE Statement on Harvey Weinstein Scandal
For the past month or so, ever since a powerful piece was published in the New York Times, we"ve been talking an awful lot about Harvey Weinstein.
And that"s because dozens and dozens of women have come forward to accuse Harvey of sexual harassment, sexual assault, and rape.
A-listers like Angelina Jolie and Gwyneth Paltrow have spoken out against Weinstein, and actresses like Rose McGowan and Paz de la Huerta have claimed that he raped them.
These are just a few examples of the women who have told their stories.
And now it"s Uma Thurman"s turn … well, almost.
In an amazing little clip that"s gone viral this weekend, Uma spoke to Access Hollywood at a press event for a Broadway show she"s starring in called The Parisian Woman.
The reporter asked her, as "a powerful woman in film," what she thought about "women speaking out about inappropriate behavior in the work place."
While she"s being asked this, you can sort of see the rage build up — it"s pretty intense, to say the least.
"I think it"s commendable," Uma began, then she paused for a moment before telling the reporter that she didn"t have "a tidy soundbite" for her.
"I have learned … I am not a child, and I have learned that when I"ve spoken in anger, I usually regret the way I express myself," she said.
"So I"ve been waiting to feel less angry. And when I"m ready, I"ll say what I have to say."
It sounds like a pretty tame statement, seeing it in text, but you have to watch the way she delivers it — it"s clear that she really is very, very angry, and that she definitely has a story of her own to tell.
It makes sense that her story would be about Weinstein, too — he"s acted as producer on several films of hers, including Pulp Fiction and the Kill Bill movies.
And it also makes sense that people really want to hear her story, because really, she just sounds furious even when alluding to it.
Actress Asia Argento, one of those many women who have accused Weinstein of sexual assault, tweeted this video of Uma, and she wrote "Dear #UmaThurman may peace be with you and your soul. We need your strong voice, it truly is commanding."
The rest of Twitter loved Uma"s statement just as much.
"God once spoke through the burning bush," one person wrote. "This time it"s through Uma Thurman."
Another speculated that "If you haven"t seen this yet it seems Uma Thurman not only knows where the bodies are buried, but has neatly organized all the shovels."
"Ok let"s be real that Uma Thurman video — she"s getting a Hanzo sword made and is going to cut up the perverts isn"t she," one person said.
And hey, if she did, would anyone be surprised?

Paz de la Huerta: Harvey Weinstein Raped Me Twice
Ever since Harvey Weinstein was accused of rape, following other accusations of sexual harassment, more and more powerful men in Hollywood have been called out and accused of varying levels of disgusting, inexcusable behavior.
But that doesn’t mean that the world has moved on from Harvey Weinstein. More than 60 women have come forward with horror stories about him.
Yet another woman has come forward, and actress Paz de la Huerta accused Harvey Weinstein of having raped her not once, but twice.
The LAPD is actively investigating Harvey Weinstein, which means that everyone who comes forward with their story about the one-time mega-producer’s story is that much more important.
Among the dozens of women who have told their #MeToo stories specifically about Weinstein were some big names.
Lupita Nyong’o shared details of her Weinstein encounters. This may shock you, but Harvey Weinstein claims through a spokesperson that he remembers things differently.
Game of Thrones star Lena Headey shared a story of narrowly escaping from Weinstein after his keycard miraculously failed to work.
But it doesn’t take a big name to have an impact.
A former assistant has come forward with a chilling story of how her attempts to fend off Weinstein’s alleged advances by telling him that she was on her period didn’t work, and she says that he forced himself on her anyway.
And now Boardwalk Empire actress Paz de la Huerta has come forward with her #MeToo story.
Speaking in a phone interview to Vanity Fair, Paz de la Huerta accuses Harvey Weinstein of raping her twice.
She says that she was 21 years old when Weinstein sent her science fiction novels and said to her that she might be right for a role in one of his projects.
It was in 2010, when de la Huerta was 26, that Weinstein offered her a ride home to Tribeca after a hotel meeting.
(Remember, not that it matters because nothing excuses sexual assault, but hotel meetings are pretty standard in the entertainment industry)
Paz de la Huerta says that Weinstein did more than just give her a ride, but followed her to her apartment and demanded to come inside and have a drink with her.
“Things got very uncomfortable very fast,” de la Huerta told Vanity Fair.
Paz de la Huerta continued her harrowing story:
“Immediately when we got inside the house, he started to kiss me and I kind of brushed [him] away.”
Be warned, folks, this is where it gets worse:
“Then he pushed me onto the bed and his pants were down and he lifted up my skirt. I felt afraid. … It wasn’t consensual … It happened very quickly. …”
That’s a small comfort, if any.
“He stuck himself inside me. … When he was done he said he’d be calling me. I kind of just laid on the bed in shock.”
Tragically, de la Huerta says that this was the first of two assaults.
She since tried to avoid him, but came home from a photoshoot in late 2010 to find that Weinstein arrived at her building’s lobby.
“He hushed me and said, ‘Let’s talk about this in your apartment.’”
We can only imagine how frightened she was in that moment.
“I was in no state. I was so terrified of him. … I did say no, and when he was on top of me I said, ‘I don’t want to do this.’”
Awful.
“He kept humping me and it was disgusting. He’s like a pig. … He raped me.”
Paz de la Huerta describes how that second encounter ended.
“I laid there feeling sick. He looked at me and said, ‘I’ll put you in a play.’ He left and I never heard from him again. He knew he had done a bad thing.”
This is truly sickening.
De la Huerta showed true bravery for sharing this story.
Not only does Weinstein deny all accusations of rape, but other people will come out of the woodwork to ask stupid, insulting questions intended to place the blame on de la Huerta and not on the man she accuses of rape.
Maybe one of the accusations against Weinstein will stick and, for the first time, he’ll face real consequences.
