Tiger Woods and Kristin Smith: It"s OVER!
In a very rare comment on his personal life, Tiger Woods responded publicly to a recent rumor about himself and girlfriend Kristin Smith.
In doing so, he stated that they are no longer together.
According to several reports, Tiger was dating Kristin Smith, a personal stylist and former wife of Dallas Cowboys player Gerald Sensabaugh.
Just this week, the UK’s Daily Mail reported that the secretive couple took a vacation together in the Bahamas at the end of July.
The publication claimed that the two were spotted enjoying some snorkeling and boating in his private yacht in the Caribbean.
That’s what Tiger spoke out to deny, and then some.
“Contrary to the false Daily Mail article, Kristin Smith and I are no longer dating and haven’t since last year,” he wrote on Twitter.
Though Woods was indeed spending time at sea in Albany (the Bahamas’ Albany, not the Upstate N.Y. version), Smith was not.
Woods vacationing with his children, he clarified.
He took to Instagram to share a photo of himself from the trip, writing, “Nothing like free diving with the kids for lobster at Albany.”
Tiger Woods and Kristin Smith were first linked last year, and it’s not clear when they broke up or why. Nor will it ever be clear.
This is Tiger, after all. Personal life revelations from him are even rarer than appearances on the golf course these days.
Speaking of which, it’s been a rough year for him.
Woods has been sidelined from pro golf since 2015 with injuries, and was arrested for driving under the influence in Florida this May.
Tiger got popped for DUI after officers observed his car on the side of the road with two flat tires. He was confused as to where he was.
Yesterday, we learned that he will likely enter a first-time DUI offender program as punishment for the arrest, and to clear his record.
This will include DUI school, victim impact panels, and 12 months of probation, which incorporates a ban on alcohol and drug possession.
He has also completed a treatment program following the incident, which signaled an ongoing problem with prescription drug abuse.
Woods said earlier this summer:
“I’m currently receiving professional help to manage my medications and the ways that I deal with back pain and a sleep disorder.”
“I want to thank everyone for the amazing outpouring of support and understanding especially the fans and players on tour.”
Before his reported relationship with Smith, Woods dated Olympic skiing great Lindsey Vonn for three years from 2012-2015.
Prior to that, of course, the golf legend was married to Elin Nordegren. The couple married in 2004 and divorced in 2010.
Following a car crash in November 2009, Woods’ dirty laundry (many, many affairs) was aired for the entire world to see.
They have two children together, Sam Alexis Woods and Charlie Axel Woods, and have been amicably co-parenting since.
Tiger’s golf career has never been quite the same; Woods’ 14th and last major championship came at the 2008 U.S. Open.
After an impressive comeback from that scandal – he was #1 in the world as recently as 2013 – he was derailed by injuries.

James Woods Defends Offensive Tweet: How Can I Be a Bigot -- I Have Gay Friends!
Remember how James Woods’ disgusting transphobic tweet about an 8-year-old child earned him ire from every corner of the internet?
Woods noticed. He responded, even. And he’s not exactly walking back his statement. If anything, he’s digging that hole even deeper.
We guess that “I have more gay friends than Liberace” is the new “How could I be racist? I have black friends!”
(You can totally be racist and have black friends, unfortunately)
Plus, you know, there are elements of internal bigotry within the LGBT community.
Some gay people are tranphobes — just look at Milo Yiannopoulos.
(On second thought, don’t look at him … or think about him … ever)
So, yesterday we talked about how a Mommy Blogger’s 8-year-old son, CJ, went to Pride.
As his mom describes on her Raising My Rainbow blog, CJ isn’t necessarily gay or anything else for that matter, but he’s gender-nonconforming or gender-creative.
So he doesn’t shy away from makeup or painting his nails for Pride and he likes a number of toys and books that are considered “girl things.”
Which aren’t even things with anything intrinsically to do with gender or sexuality — they’ve more to do with gender roles prescribed by society.
But notorious scumbag James Woods saw a picture of two parents supporting their happy child and was apparently so incensed that he couldn’t let it rest.
He tweeted out the image — opening up the family and this 8-year-old boy to countless bigots.
He added some truly despicable words:
“This is sweet. Wait until this poor kid grows up, realizes what you’ve done, and stuff both of you dismembered into a freezer in the garage.”
We talked about how gross that was.
What kind of monster thinks such vile things when he sees this picture?
Well, after Neil Patrick Harris (among countless others) publicly called him out for it, James Woods posted a series of tweets.
We didn’t really expect a 70-year-old man to change his tune, but it’s still disappointing to see him doubling down.
“Using one’s child as a social justice propaganda doll is tantamount to child abuse. This is not about homophobia. Nice try though…”
Yeah … they’re literally just accepting their son and taking family photos.
This isn’t something that they’ve somehow done to CJ. This is just CJ being himself.
“For the record I have supported human rights of all stripes and persuasions, colors, creeds, choices and preferences my entire life. Period.”
Uh-huh. Sure.
“Some children can be ruthlessly cruel to children who are simply different in any way. I humbly suggest making your child a target is unwise.”
Ah, yes.
The classic “kids can be cruel so adults should be crueler!” line.
Again, they aren’t making their son a target, they’re just allowing him to be himself instead of forcing him to miserably pretend to be someone he isn’t.
James Woods might be surprised to learn that a lot of children are much more accepting than he thinks, once unfamiliar things are explained to them.
From what we hear, again and again, it’s more often other children’s parents who have trouble accepting LGBT kids for who they are.
“I spent my entire adult life in the New York theatre scene, kids. I have more gay friends than Liberace. So let’s stop the homophobia train.”
Sorry, sir, but the homophobia train has a schedule to keep.
No, but seriously — and as we mentioned above — having gay friends doesn’t stop you from being bigoted.
Clearly.
A follower told him that he “does not need a defense,” because “this is the New America.”
That line sends a shudder through your body, doesn’t it?
“This is not a defense. I’m old enough to remember the agony friends suffered for being different. Being wrongly accused of anything is vile.”
Well, it would be bad if he were wrongly accused of something.
“And of course the final word on all of this is that I frankly don’t give a s–t what anybody thinks about me.”
Classy guy.
Remember, this is a 70-year-old celebrity who seems to get worked up because an 8-year-old’s parents are aggressively supportive of their child.
That’s a photo of CJ reading a book.
You know, if James Woods were making an argument about the ethics of Mommy Blogging, for example, we’d be singing a different tune.
(The concept is fine, but some Mommy Bloggers are awful and some share too much of their children’s lives)
In the case of Raising My Rainbow, we’re talking about a blog that can help bring about acceptance and understanding to countless other parents who may themselves be lucky enough to have a child like CJ.
So … the only problem that we see here is James Woods.
Maybe this latest incident will finally be the proverbial straw to get James Woods blacklisted.

Neil Patrick Harris BLASTS James Woods for Disgusting, Transphobic Tweet!
Does anybody else remember when they first learned that James Woods was a garbage human being? For most, it may have been his infamous Obama rant.
For some, it may have been when they saw his recent tweet — in which he directs his transphobic vitriol at an 8-year-old boy. That sort of thing gives pause, even to other bigots.
And Neil Patrick Harris, who’s known for being super friendly and generally a non-confrontational person, clearly got a little hot under the collar over that tweet — and did not mince words as he took James Woods to task.
Neil Patrick Harris really isn’t the guy you think of when somebody needs to get a well-deserved takedown on Twitter.
Usually, for that sort of thing, we might look to an unstoppable duo like Chrissy Teigen and John Legend.
But recent events clearly moved him to stand up for an 8-year-old whom James Woods called out in a tweet with an insult that … we’ll get to later.
Fair warning: it’s upsetting.
Because James Woods reblogged a photo from Orange County Pride, and singled out this one family for some vile commentary.
The photo itself, however, is great:
That’s Lori Duron, who runs the Raising My Rainbow blog, Matt, and their 8-year-old son, CJ.
All in all, she received a lot of compliments for her post and for the photos.
And, before you ask, we should just go ahead and clarify what gender creative means.
It’s not the same thing as being, say, gay or bi or trans, though someone who is gender creative might not be straight or might not be cisgender.
(Often, the term “gender creative” is applied to kids who are so young that things like gender and sexuality might still be really uncertain anyway)
Rather, a gender creative (or, more commonly known, a gender nonconforming) kid is one who doesn’t adhere to any set of strict gender roles, either internally or externally.
Gender roles are super weird anyway — why is one gender supposed to like certain colors? Why is one gender supposed to like grilling things? One gender is supposed to like decorating their nails and another is supposed to like foul-tasting fermented grain?
So, CJ is 8 and his family’s super supportive, which is great for a human being of any age, but especially for a developing child.
And then comes James Woods:
“This is sweet. Wait until this poor kid grows up, realizes what you’ve done, and stuffs both of you dismembered into a freezer in the garage.”
If only he’d stopped after those first three words, right?
First of all, his parents aren’t doing anything but loving and supporting their child.
CJ’s older brother isn’t in the photo but he loves and supports his brother, too.
(Children can be amazing sometimes)
So the “what you’ve done” thing is weird, but unfortunately a lot of bigots make similar statements about parents of children who are gay or bi or trans.
As if somehow this is something that parents are doing to their children.
But the worst part is the end, of course, where James Woods evokes antiquated fears that associate trans people with serial killers.
Like … The Silence of the Lambs isn’t a documentary.
(Also, Buffalo Bill was explicitly stated in both the book and film as not being trans)
But James Woods knows that his bigoted followers will eat up his every word.
And that they’ll latch onto that awful image.
Neil Patrick Harris, however, wasn’t having it:
“Utterly ignorant and classless, Mr. Woods. I’m friends with this family. You know not of what you speak, and should be ashamed of yourself.”
That’s exactly what needed to be said.
Also, “you know not of what you speak” is the most elegant way of calling someone an ignorant fool who embarrasses themselves every time that they open their mouth.
James Woods is no stranger to bigotry, of course.
Remember when Twitter was ablaze with talk of Anderson Cooper’s famous eyeroll while talking to Kellyanne Conway?
James Woods chimed in with his inexcusable
“As his butt plug dislodges during a newscast…”
In addition to being a raging homophobe, James Woods seems to not know how butts work.
Maybe he should check out Teen Vogue‘s guide to anal sex so that he doesn’t keep embarrassing people with his ignorance.
It’s no wonder that so many people wonder when James Woods will shut up already.

Tiger Woods Completes Intensive Treatment Program: What Did He Say?
Tiger Woods was arrested on DUI charges last month after police in Jupiter, Florida noticed the famous golfer was driving in bizarre fashion.
In the aftermath, it was revealed that Woods was not drunk. Instead, he was under the influence of a cocktail of prescription drugs.
The issue at hand was put down to back surgery the 41-year-old had, and he allegedly took a bad reaction to the painkillers prescribed to him by doctors at the time.
Tiger recognized that he did need some help in a statement shortly after the incident.
“I’m currently receiving professional help to manage my medications and the ways that I deal with back pain and a sleep disorder,” Woods said at the time.
“I want to thank everyone for the amazing outpouring of support and understanding especially the fans and players on tour.”
While this proved Tiger showed he was remorseful for what went down, not everyone felt like he was taking the treatment seriously.
He was spotted out and about with his kids, presumably meaning he was not in an in-patient facility. Some felt that he was using the treatment as a tactic to get a lighter sentence.
On top of that, the treatment has now been completed, with Tiger taking to Twitter to let his followers know this was not something he was just going to brush under the rug.
“I recently completed an out of state private intensive program,” he said in the statement.
“I will continue to tackle this going forward with my doctors, family, and friends. I am so very thankful for all the support I’ve received.”
With the treatment over, Woods is scheduled to appear in court on July 8. We’re unsure what the court date will hold for the gold legend, but we’ll have more clarity in the coming days.

Tiger Woods Talks Prescription Pill Abuse: I"m Getting Help!
Last month, Tiger Woods was arrested on DUI charges after police in Jupiter, Florida spotted the golf legend driving erratically.
As it turned out, Woods was not drunk but under the influence of a potent cocktail of prescription pills.
The 41-year-old recently underwent back surgery and sources say he suffered a bad reaction to painkillers that were prescribed to him by his doctors.
But the fact that Woods didn’t consciously enter an impaired state before getting behind the wheel doesn’t make his actions any less dangerous.
Police departments across the country report that they’ve seen a sharp rise in cases of “drugged driving” in recent years, and the risk of death or serious injury is just as real as when a driver is drunk.
To his credit, Woods seems to understand the severity of the situation.
While he maintains that the drugs he was on were solely for pain management, Woods apparently recognizes that he needs professional help in order to free himself from the grips of substance abuse.
In a statement issued this morning, Woods revealed that he is seeking treatment as a result of his arrest over Memorial Day weekend:
“I’m currently receiving professional help to manage my medications and the ways that I deal with back pain and a sleep disorder,” Woods said.
“I want to thank everyone for the amazing outpouring of support and understanding especially the fans and players on tour.”
According to TMZ, Woods has been spotted out and about in Florida with his children, so it appears he did not enter an in-patient facility.
Critics are skeptical, and some have expressed the belief that Woods public revelation that he’s seeking treatment is simply part of an effort to secure a lighter sentence at his upcoming DUI trial.
Some have called on the golf icon to seek more aggressive treatment, both for the sake of his health and as a message to his younger fans that prescription pill addiction is as serious as any other form of substance abuse.
It does not appear that Woods will be heeding that advice.
Woods will likely be able to avoid harsh punishments from both the court and the PGA, but it remains to be seen if his career and reputation will be able to survive yet another scandal.

Tiger Woods Checks Into Rehab Following DUI Arrest
Last month, Tiger Woods was arrested on DUI charges after being pulled over for reckless driving by police in Jupiter, Florida.
Video from Woods’ arrest showed the golf legend stumbling, slurring his words, and struggling to answer the most basic questions from police.
It was later revealed that a Breathalyzer test showed Woods had no alcohol in his system at the time of his arrest, and his inebriation was attributed to various pills he’d been prescribed by his doctor.
But while Woods’ team seemed to feel that the 41-year-old was somewhat exonerated by the revelation that he had not been drinking and that the pills he had taken were the result of a recent back surgery, the golfer still has a lot to answer for.
In the eyes of the law, driving under the influence of prescription medications is just as punishable as driving drunk.
And victim advocacy groups like MADD are arguing that it’s vital for Woods to be prosecuted, so as to send the message that all forms of inebriated driving are equally potentially fatal.
The repercussions for Woods could include changes to his custody arrangement with ex-wife Elin Nordegren, and Radar Online reports today that the troubled icon is hoping to get in front of the situation by checking into rehab.
“Tiger visited the hospital with his children on June 2, then went alone two days later to complete paperwork and his assessment,” a source close to Woods tells the site.
“If Tiger gets caught up in a scandal, he could face losing the 20 percent custody he currently has,” the tipster adds.
No word on how the insider arrived at that 20 percent figure, but Woods’ divorce from Nordegren wasn’t exactly civil, so it stands to reason that their custody agreement is a frequent point of contention.
Woods will likely experience the fallout from his latest scandal for many years to come, what with the potential loss of endorsement deals and possible punitive action from the PGA.
It seems that he’s aware that the best he can do these days is run damage control and hope to limit the long-term consequences.
Say what you will about Tiger Woods, the man is no stranger to PR crises, and we’re sure he’s learned a thing or two from past controversies.

Tiger Woods DUI Arrest Video: Released!
A dashcam video recorded from a police cruiser and documenting golf legend Tiger Woods" arrest for DUI last week has been released.
Police say Woods was passed out behind the wheel when they approached his vehicle. He sure looks zonked in the footage.
The incident took place roughly eight miles from Tiger"s home in Jupiter, Florida, not California, as reported … by Woods at the time.
Asked where he was headed, an obviously disoriented Woods told police he believed he was in L.A., driving toward Orange County.
Swaying, incoherent and unable to even tie his own shoes, Tiger was a mess, and an officer said that he smelled the "odor" of alcohol.
Woods insists he was not drunk at the time.
In the clip, an officer asks the 14-time major champion to bend over and tie his shoes. He almost topples over, staring off into space.
“It’s really hard to get down there,” he says.
The officer responds: “Do you want to try this one more time or do you want to move on?” Woods then tried again, with similar results.
Asked to stand and follow the officer’s pen light with his eyes, the 41-year-old clearly didn"t do a good job of that task either.
"You’re not following the light at all,” the officer said, and Woods’ attempt to walk a straight line completed an epic fail trifecta.
Barely able to stand in place, let alone do as instructed, the golfer bobs and weaves all over the line as the police observe him.
Woods was subsequently booked for DUI.
In a statement, he said that alcohol was not a factor and blamed this on an "unexpected reaction to prescription medications."
He was later shown to have a .000 blood alcohol level after the arrest, backing up his claim to have been booze-free at least.
It"s not clear how this will play out in court, but photos of the golfer"s car show he had a couple of flat tires prior to the arrest.
The car was damaged on the front driver"s side bumper and rear bumper, with scrapes and scuffs, with the rear tail light out.
Police say it was all fresh damage, meaning Woods likely drove off the road at some point before the police located him.
He’s lucky he didn"t kill someone or himself; Tiger is due back in court on July 5 to face charges related to this incident.
