Jennifer Aniston to Body-Shamers: WTH is Wrong With You?
Jennifer Aniston tries.
She really does.
She tries so very hard to ignore the gossip that often surrounds her, blocking out the haters and the absurd notion that she and Brad Pitt are still any kind of thing.
But she can’t always do it.
And we don’t blame her. Not one bit.
About a year ago, if you’ll recall, Aniston admitted she was “fed up” with all the pregnancy speculation and all the talk about her body, her family and her love life.
“I’m fed up with the sport-like scrutiny and body-shaming that occurs daily,” Aniston wrote last summer, to nearly universal praise.
She added at the time:
“If I am some kind of symbol to some people out there, then clearly I am an example of the lens through which we, as a society, view our mothers, daughters, sisters, wives, female friends and colleagues.
“The objectification and scrutiny we put women through is absurd and disturbing.”
Amen, right?
Fast forward 13 months and Aniston has a similar message to send.
“I don’t think it’s getting much better. I think the problem is the tabloids and the gossip columns taking the human body and putting it in a category,” Aniston recently told Vogue.
“They’re either fat-shaming, or body-shaming, or childless-shaming.”
And Aniston has received it all.
Like practically every female star in Hollywood, she’s been criticized for her weight and, perhaps more than any female star in Hollywood, she’s been slammed for not having kids.
“It’s a weird obsession that people have and I don’t understand exactly why they need to take people who are out there to entertain you, and rip them apart and bully them?” Aniston continued.
Why do people care about the state of her womb? She has no idea.
She also wishes those same people would realize they have no idea what’s truly going on with someone else.
“I couldn’t hear this narrative anymore about being pregnant or not pregnant; you have no idea what is going on personally in our lives and why that is or is not happening and it feels,” she says.
“In my own brain, I’ve shifted my perspective, so who gives a shit?!?
Making it very clear why husband Justin Theroux loves her so much, Aniston concludes with some words of wisdom for other women.
But they famous or not.
“If you’re going to walk out and have your nipples showing, or your belly is a little bloated, or you’re not at the weight you want to be…
“You are perfect no matter what you are and no matter where you are and who cares!”
It needs to be said again, doesn’t it?

Chris Pratt and Anna Faris: Where Did It Go Wrong?!?
Love is not truly dead.
It only feels that way after Chris Pratt and Anna Faris announced their separation on Sunday night.
A married couple of eight years, Faris and Pratt came across as the perfect match: funny, laid back, successful, attractive, clearly smitten over their five-year old child.
And yet…
“Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward,” they wrote in a joint statement, concluding:
“We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another.”
How did the actress and actor arrived at this place?
Where did their seemingly perfect relationship go wrong?
For starters, it was never perfect.
Let’s be honest: as happy as Faris and Pratt may have seemed together in public, there’s no way of knowing what was really going on inside of their hearts or their home.
Let’s also be honest: This split had nothing to do with Jennifer Lawrence.
There’s been chatter on both sides of the relationship spectrum when it comes to Pratt and Lawrence, with some reports stating they hated each other on the set of Passengers and others alleging there were hints of a romance.
The truth is very likely somewhere in the middle. They are just friends.
According to TMZ insiders, no third party played any role in this separation. Neither Pratt nor Faris is accused of infidelity.
Instead, Faris simply yearns for a family that spends a lot of time together. She wants it to be based in Los Angeles. And she wants more children.
As a very successful sitcom star, Faris is able to work frequently and make a lot of money… yet rarely travel.
Pratt, conversely, has seen his movie career explode over the past few years; he’s often trotting around the globe, filming a new blockbuster.
Back in 2009, when the couple got married, Faris was a bigger star than her husband. The roles have now been switched, which isn’t a source of jealousy.
But it is a source of contention because their schedules are so very different.
For now, and for the foreseeable future, Pratt does not want to have more children. He simply can’t juggle that responsibility and the aspects of his A-Lister career.
Moreover, he can’t commit to Los Angeles as a steady home base because he just doesn’t know where future shoots will take him.
Both Pratt and Faris adore their five-year old son.
They will remain close and committed to co-parenting, although divorce proceedings may get underway very soon.
Expect this to be one of the more amicable divorces in Hollywood history, although that doesn’t mean it won’t be extremely upsetting to fans who believed Pratt and Faris would be together forever.

Aspiring YouTube Star Shoots and Kills Boyfriend in Stunt Gone Horribly Wrong
Monalisa Perez, an aspiring YouTube star from Minnesota, has been arrested after shooting her boyfriend in the chest and killing him.
But Perez says she did not intend to kill, or even injure, Pedro Ruiz III.
The fatality was the result of a stunt for horribly, terribly wrong.
According to court documents, Perez shot Ruiz with a gold Desert Eagle .50 caliber handgun, which is considered one of the most powerful pistols on the planet.
The incident took place on the grass outside of their home while he held up a hardcover encyclopedia to block the bullet.
The criminal complaint detailed how the shooting came about because Ruiz wanted to make a YouTube video in order to increase the pair’s following on their YouTube channel.
In a Twitter message posted not long before this tragedy transpired, Perez told followers what the couple had planned to to do:
To do so, Perez and Ruiz set up GoPro camera on the back of a car, placing another camera on a nearby ladder.
Once these were in place and the items were turned on, Perez picked up the aforementioned Desert Eagle and took aim at the encyclopedia Ruiz held in front of his chest.
The goal was for the book to block the bullet and for the couple to share the footage online.
However, the bullet instead traveled through the book and struck Ruiz in the chest.
Right away, Perez dialed 911 (around 6:30 p.m. local time on Monday) to report the she had accidentally shot her boyfriend in the chest, according to court documents.
But paramedics could not save him and Ruiz was pronounced dead at the scene.
Before going through with this stunt, Ruiz had practiced shooting books in similar fashion, showing his girlfriend how the bullets in these warm-up sessions did not penetrate the tomes.
Perez, who shot Ruiz from about a foot away, was charged with second-degree manslaughter.
She faces up to 10 years in prison and/or a fine of $ 20,000.
“The case remains under investigation by the Norman County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota BCA,” Norman County Sheriff Jeremy Thornton said in a statement.
According to the couple’s YouTube channel, they have a three-year-old daughter and Perez is pregnant with their second.
This story may seem funny at first, but it’s a pretty major tragedy.
The two have been making YouTube videos together since May, typically filling their page with stunts, challenges, pranks and fails in an attempt to build traffic, go viral and make lots of money.
“Imagine when we have 300,000 subscribers,” Perez told Ruiz in the last video they made together and shared with followers. “They’ll be like, ‘Oh my god, hi!’”
Officials say the video of this fatal shooting will not be made public.

Lauren Bushnell and Ben Higgins: Where Did It Go Wrong?!?
Just last week, Ben Higgins quoted Martin Luther King Jr. on Instagram, writing the following:
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
He then addressed girlfriend Lauren Bushnell as part of the same caption for the photo below and added:
“@laurenbushnell continues to spread love while some feel it is their responsibility to spread hate, she is a light in this world. Proud of my gal.”
Fast forward to Monday and Higgins confirmed that he and Bushnell had broken up.
“It is with heavy hearts that we announce our decision to go our separate ways,” the former Bachelor and his previously-selected winner said in a joint statement.
Added the ex-love birds:
“We feel fortunate for all the time that we had together, and we will remain friends with much love and respect for one another.
“We wish nothing but the best for each other, and ask for your support and understanding at this time.”
Higgins and Bushnell got together early last year, after the latter beat out JoJo Fletcher to win the former’s season of The Bachelor.
But many fans have been counting down the days to their split ever since The Bachelor finale, considering Higgins also told Fletcher he was in love with her toward the end of his run on ABC.
Rumors of a break-up have been dogging Ben and Lauren for several months, despite their starring role on a Freeform reality show last summer in which they allowed cameras to chronicle their personal lives.
To add drama to a potential second season, Higgins actually called off his wedding to Bushnell on air at one point…
… although he still claimed he wanted to be with her forever. He just needed more time to fully commit.
Yeah. Like we said: this split wasn’t too hard to see coming in some ways.
Still, Higgins blasted an Us Weekly report of his relationship’s demise as “fake news” in February, seeking to end all such chatter with a social media statement that read as follows:
“We have entered into a world where rumors will exist we know that, but just know as @laurenbushnell celebrates her birthday tomorrow I am still extremely lucky to be able to share life with her and be by her side.”
But now the romance is officially over.
What happened?!?
“I know that they have struggled with the show and then kind of continuing on and doing their reality show and kind of where the show stopped and then where life began,” The Bachelor host Chris Harrison told People yesterday of his interpretation.
He added:
“They were fighting through a bunch of stuff. But I don’t know. I’ll reach out to them. I’m very sorry to hear that because I do care about them very much.”
Yet, while Harrison expressed shock upon being told by People that Higgins and Bushnell had split, an insider tells E! News this was easy to see coming.
“No one is that surprised,” this source says. “Lauren was pretty open among her friends that she was struggling. She would talk about how hard it was.”
The E! mole goes on to explain that the pressure of having to seem happy while in the public eye really affected Ben and Lauren.
Another source says that “after the show, Lauren felt like she gave up everything for Ben.”
We can see this; following the end of their reality TV season, Lauren quit her job and moved to Denver for Higgins. She really had no identity except for The Woman Who Won The Bachelor.
Labeling the split as a “mutual” decision, E! concludes:
“They both really wanted to make it work, but Lauren was the only one who was really needing to change a lot of things…
“She felt like she wasn’t being authentic to herself.”
That’s too bad.
But at least Ben and Lauren have a whole lot of company.
Yes, some couples who met on The Bachelor or The Bachelorette have gone on to make babies together (see above).
Most, however, have gone their separate ways.

This Woman Texted the Wrong Number. It Didn"t Go Well.

The only problem? This woman sent the message to a 35-year old man (who goes by the handle "velakskin" on imgur), who politely tried to explain that she had the wrong number.
Only she didn"t believe him. And things grew awfully heated from there…
