This season on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the most enticing storyline by far is the drama surrounding Rob Kardashian’s relationship with his family’s nemesis, Blac Chyna.
All year we’ve been privy to scant details about the couple’s romance, engagement and now pregnancy through social media, but tuning in to the show helps us fill in the blanks on how the brood has dealt with it.
While Rob returned to the show this year, Blac has not made a physical appearance, and we understand that’s by design.
Earlier this year, a report claimed that Kris Jenner refused to allow Blac to film on KUWTK and didn’t seem to have any intention of doing so in the future.
But Blac reportedly has her mind set on angling her way in, according to HollywoodLife.
“Blac hasn’t filmed anything for Keeping Up with the Kardashians yet, but she’s determined to feature on the show in the near future,” a source tells the site.
“She believes her pregnancy, and the journey she and Rob are making through it, would be a ratings winner; and she’s been urging Rob to hammer that point home to Kris,” continued the insider.
While Kris has taken a hard line against Blac, she may be forced to relent now that her future daughter-in-law is pregnant.
The idea of Blac as a silent character – talked about yet never seen – can only last for so long.
“For the benefit of the show, Kris may give Rob and Blac what they want because she realizes that there’s a huge buzz around Rob at the moment, and that topic would provide the perfect storyline.”
In fact, it’s already the perfect storyline.
So far this season, we’ve heard Khloe air her frustration over coming back to her house to find Rob and Blac holed up amid bottles of liquor.
Additionally, Kim lays into Rob after she discovers he and Blac posted a series of videos in which they made fun of the food Kris stocked his pantry with.
“You two are a unit now, so it looks like you’re blasting mom, and it’s petty as f**k!” Kim tells him over the phone.
Will Kris set aside her differences with Blac for the sake of her sixth child – the show? Our guess is yes.
