Many citizens have expressed irritation and downright fury at how the Kardashian family changed television by allowing every vapid detail of their lives to be made public for the airwaves.
But when they consider the paycheck the Kards receive for their exhibitionism, folks might be a tad more understanding.
Kris Jenner just negotiated a sweet deal with E! executives for her son Rob, who will now play a larger role on Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
Thanks to his shrewd momager, the sock designer shall now receive a cool $ 2 million per season, a source tells Life & Style.
Rob was previously making $ 500,000 a season, so his paycheck just quadrupled in size.
“Recognizing that his drastic weight loss and sudden engagement to Blac Chyna would be ratings gold for the E! network, Kris was able to get Rob a $ 2 million paycheck,” revealed the source.
Interest in Rob’s personal life has skyrocketed this year, and he seems to be eating it up.
In the recent past, Rob had turned into a recluse and wanted little to do with the spotlight, even taking a break from filming KUWTK.
The lone Kardashian son had reportedly gained more than 100 pounds and was diagnosed with diabetes late last year.
Then suddenly, like an ample-bootied angel sent from heaven, Blac Chyna appeared.
When the unlikely pair first hooked up in January, fans were skeptical.
They figured Blac was using Rob for fame and he was using her to get back at his sisters, with whom she had been publicly feuding for some time.
But their relationship proved fruitful for both, and the media went berserk every time one of them posted a new selfie with the other.
Blac helped Rob lose more than 50 pounds and the couple are now engaged to be married.
Kris and the producers at E! jumped on the storyline, which is now becoming a highlight of the show this season.
“The fact that now he wants to be so public blows my mind,” Khloe Kardashian says in a clip for the show.
Is it real? Is it fake?
We can’t really be sure, but we do know that the Kardashians are masters at keeping us guessing.
