22 Things You Didn"t Know About Dancing with the Stars

Ever wonder what goes on behind the scenes on Dancing with the Stars?

From the hook-ups and the makeup to the pro who was nearly a judge, here are 22 things you didn"t know about the popular reality competition show!

1. It’s Based on the British Series, Strictly Come Dancing

Normani kordei and valentin chmerkovskiy

Dancing with the Stars is based on the British Series, Strictly Come Dancing, which premiered in 2004. Len Goodman has been the head judge on both series.

2. Mark Ballas Dated Two of His Partners

Shawn johnson and mark ballas

Mark Ballas dated dancing partner Sabrina Bryan during the show in 2007. Two years later, he was rumored to be dating partner Shawn Johnson.

3. The Money is Worth It

Dancing with the stars teams

The celebrity contestants get a pretty fabulous paycheck for their time on Dancing with the Stars, even if they don’t make it past the first elimination. Several have reported a base salary of $ 125,000, and that number goes up for the contestants who make it further in the competition.

4. The Show Really Wants Bill Clinton to Compete

Bill clinton at the dnc

How amazing would this be? Bill Clinton has been asked repeatedly to be on Dancing with the Stars, but he hasn’t said yes. Yet.

5. Kym Johnson and Robert Herjavec

These two weren’t secretive about their budding romance when they were partners on the show, and that romance lasted. The two eventually got married, and they’re cuter than ever.

6. Last Minute Costumes

You might imagine it takes a lot of time to make those fancy costumes, but in reality, the constestants don’t get to wear them until dress rehearsal, and even then, they may not be totally complete. The final look usually isn’t ready until just before the show begins!

Heather Morris" Britney Spears Dancing With the Stars Tribute: Watch!

Heather Morris channeled Britney Spears last night on Week 3 of Dancing With the Stars, a familiar role for the one-time Glee cast member.

She did a fair amount of that impersonation back in the day.

Morris spent six seasons channeling Britney Spears on Glee, but the former Beyonce backup dancer was nervous to bring her back.

Performing a tango to the pop star"s “Toxic” Monday, she made sure of her survival as the Dancing with the Stars results were announced.

Heather described the experience as such:

“I’m here to show my fans – and the rest of the world – more about who Heather really is and, to me, this seems like a step back in time."

That doesn"t mean it was easy, though.

Morris was admittedly anxious, but “I think once we got on stage and did it, it felt so much more powerful and specific to what we were doing."

There was also the Maks factor involved.

Pro Alan Bernsten was forced to become Morris’ temporary partner for the week as Maksim Chmerkovskiy recovers from a calf injury.

“The key was really just focusing on each other," Bernsten said, "as opposed to everything that was happening in the ballroom."

While the Spears influence on the routine is obvious, they tried to really harness the power of the tango as opposed to Britney.”

“Yeah, we used Britney’s essence, but it was all about the dancing and making Heather shine,” he said, and there"s no doubt he succeeded.

Heather, who is rumored to be feuding with Nancy Kerrigan, another top contender this season, earned her place near the top of the scoreboard.

Making Morris feel even more confident?

Former Glee co-star Naya Rivera supporting her in the audience, where Morris says she was more excited about the routine than anyone.

“She was, like, so fangirling before this whole thing."

"She was, like, ‘Oh my God! I’m obsessed!"

"This is my favorite! I love it!"” said Morris.

“We come from a completely different world with Naya and Kevin [McHale] and all of them, but they are so supportive," she went on.

Kevin, also a former Glee co-star, "is so stoked to come watch the show. It’s fun to bring them into this world.”

While some believe Morris on Dancing with the Stars is unfair, given her background, she certainly keeps you glued to the screen:

Dancing With the Stars Results: Who Got the Boot?

Who got the boot on Dancing with the Stars, and who lived to dance another week after some good, bad and ugly Vegas Week performances?

As always, it came down to the wire as the contenders are starting to distance themselves from the pretenders of the Season 24 crew.

Not going home? Heather Morris, the former Glee star and Beyonce backup dancer who has critics saying Dancing with the Stars is rigged.

It’s not, but she is quite good.

With per partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy out at least a week due to an injury, she and sub Alan Burston did not miss a beat on Monday.

The two performed a tango to Britney Spears’ “Toxic,” which had the judges (and those who remember the classic music video) floored.

Heather and Alan earned a 33 out of 40, tying them with Nancy Kerrigan and Artem Chigvintsev, who performed a samba to Ricky Martin.

Kerrigan is breaking a leg, but only in the figurative sense, so far; Nick Viall, on the other hand, has yet to find a post-Bachelor groove.

Nick and Peta Murgatroyd struggled in rehearsals, and while the judges offered some kind comments, their score was a modest 26.

Tying that total were Bonner Bolton and Sharna Burgess, who went down faster than his hand on her waist during the infamous premiere.

They were tied with Simone Biles last week, so falling back into a tie with Nick and Erika Jayne, who also scored a 26, was not ideal.

At the very bottom of the scoreboard, though, were two other celeb couples: Mr. T and Kym Herjavec, along with Charo and Keo Motsepe.

Mr. T’s foxtrot was a hit, but not a scoring hit, and while Charo threatened to quit last week, she may get her wish as both scored 24.

Last to dance Monday night?

Normani Kordei and Valentin Chmerkovskiy, whose foxtrot earned them two 8s and two 9s, and sole possession of first place with 34.

Rashad Jennings and Emma Slater, David Ross and Lindsay Arnold, and Simone Biles and Sasha Farbery, all performed solid routines.

Solid, but not great, landing them in the middle of the pack. Simone, in particular, struggled to bring the personality to match her athleticism.

The two couples in jeopardy:

Charo and Keo , along with Nick and Peta. No Bachelor star has ever gone home this fast (Melissa Rycroft is the only one to win it).

History was on Nick’s side as Charo and Keo were eliminated from DWTS, after which she replied “Bruno, I’ll see you in the parking lot!”

Okay then … how bow dah?

Charo: I"m Going to Quit Dancing with the Stars!

Look, Charo is a gift. That little Spanish butterfly is a gift and a gem and a treasure, and those are the facts.

But it’s also a fact that our favorite flamenco guitarist is having a tough time on this season of Dancing with the Stars.

The second week of the dancing competition show just wrapped up, and while actor Chris Kattan was the one eliminated, our beloved Charo came close to going home herself.

And that simply will not stand.

A source tells E! News that “Charo was super upset this week about her scoring and she feels like she’s being treated and scored very unfairly.”

“She is seriously upset.”

“She was telling producers that she doesn’t like how they’re underscoring her,” the source elaborates, “and she feels like she’s been treated so badly so she was threatening to quit.”

Producers managed to calm her down enough to stay on the show, but the source maintains that Charo will leave “unless they started scoring her performances more fairly.”

And all that sounds pretty fair, right?

After all, we’ve heard that the judges are scoring Heather Morris differently than the others since she has tons of professional dance experience, so it would just make sense that they adjust their scoring for Charo, too.

The woman is 71 years old, after all.

She’s showed more energy than nearly anyone else on the show, and though she was a little off during this week’s performance, it’s understandable to think she deserved a better critique than what she got.

And she didn’t just take issue with her own scores — in an interview after the show, she admitted that she felt Chris Kattan was treated unfairly, too.

“I was very upset that they kicked out Chris,” she said. “I was about to make a deal — I go, and he stays. But I don’t think the rules allow that.”

“He tried very hard and it’s so beautiful.”

Again, she has a point — Chris broke his neck, for goodness’ sake, so shouldn’t he have slightly different judging criteria too?

This week, he and Mr. T both received a score of 22 out of 40, and Charo said that she was “very upset” that they were kinder to Mr. T.

And don’t forget, she’s been outspoken about her thoughts on the competition since the beginning.

Ahead of the season premiere, she said in an interview that Heather Morris joining the show “pissed me off. Because how can I prepare with a professional dancer?”

“I think this is not fair,” she said, “but life is not fair. So, what I have to do is move my ass. That’s the only thing.”

And, if nothing else, Charo is definitely moving her ass.

Dancing With the Stars Recap: Who Lost Their Place on the Show?

As far as Dancing With the Stars goes, no other season in recent memory has been filled with quite as much controversy as Season 24.

We’re on just week two, and there has been drama regarding Heather Morris having an unfair advantage, some severe crotch grabbing and Erika Jayne being a little too racy for her own good.

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Did the controversial happenings continue to fire on all cylinders on the latest episode?

It’s time to run down the performances of the night…

Nancy Kerrigan and Artem Chigvinstev

Nancy and Artem performed the Cha Cha to “No Rights, No Wrongs” by Jess Glynne. Things took an awkward turn for the pair during rehearsals when Artem gives Nancy a compliment during rehearsals.

Nancy responded by bursting into tears and making a quick getaway from the situation. Odd? Very.

As expected, switching things up worked in their favor, but there was very clearly something off with the performance. It was an improvement on last week, but Kerrigan will need to adapt quickly if she wants to survive into the next stage of the competition.

Judges’ Score: 28/40

Erika Jayne and Gleb Savchenko

If you thought Erika was going to scale back her performances after the compliments last week, you were sadly mistaken.

Erika and Gleb performed the Foxtrot to “Bad Intentions” by Niykee Heaton. In the performance, Erika and Gleb get close together once again.

For what it’s worth, Erika does want her personality to shine through her routines. If you watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills online, you will know this is her personality.

Judges’ Score: 28/40

Charo and Keo Motsepe

The Paso Doblé is a dance Charo learned as a child, so it made perfect sense to roll with it. The biggest problem with this number was that Charo was out of synch with her partner.

That threw the whole performance into question and made it look thrown together at the last second.

The judges picked up on this and asked for more from their next routine.

Judges’ Score: 25/40

Nick Viall and Peta Murgatroyd

Nick continued to buck the reality TV trend and turned in a decent performance. He and Peta went with the Foxtrot to “Love Me Now” by John Legend.

Nick was nervous about dancing. Being hot off The Bachelor, there was a lot riding on his success on this reality hit.

The judges liked the performance but felt Nick could do with relaxing.

Judges’ Score: 25/40

Heather Morris and Alan Bersten

After a horrible injury during rehearsals, Maks is out of the competition. Well, he could return, but we don’t know when.

Alan Bersten stepped in and performed the Jive to “Grown” by Little Mix. Their first performance together was not bad, but it was not as amazing as the one from the season premiere.

While Len seemed to think the performance was awful, the other judges liked it very much.

Judges’ Score: 30/40

Bonner Bolton and Sharna Burgess

Bonner and Sharna went with the Viennese Waltz to “Unlove You” by Jennifer Nettles. Even before the performance, it was evident the duo was very close.

Bonner dedicated the performance to his uncle who survived a freak accident. The judges seemed to enjoy the performance and gave praise for it.

Judges’ Score: 29/40

Simone Biles and Sasha Farber

Simone and Sasha went with the Cha Cha to “Burning Up” by Jessie J feat. 2 Chains. Simone continued to change things up during this performance.

She does not want to be known for being a gymnast: She wants to be a force to be reckoned with. The judges were high on the performance but felt Simone was a tad wooden.

Judges’ Score: 29/40

Chris Katten and Witney Carson

Chris Katten has been very open about breaking his neck and how it affected his life. That’s part of the reason why watching his performances, it’s easy to tear up.

Witney is impressed with how her partner fights through the pain in order to turn in a solid performance. They went with a jazz performance to “Hey Ya!” by Outcast.

The judges were impressed with his improvement week-on-week but still felt there was a long way to go for Chris.

Judges’ Score: 22/40

Normani Kordei and Valentin Chmerkovskiy

Normani and Valentin had just returned from Japan. The reason? Normani is part of the very successful band, Fifth Harmony and that’s where they are touring.

That meant Val went along for the ride. They performed Cha Cha to “Give Me Your Love” by Sigala feat. John Newman and Nile Rodgers.

The performance was one of the best of the night. Everything about it was just breathtaking. They clearly took the feedback given to them.

Judges’ Score: 32/40

Rashad Jennings and Emma Slater

Rashad and Emma went with the Viennese Waltz to “Suffer” by Charlie Puth. That song was already a sultry song that got Charlie a lot of bad rep.

It resulted in a well-rehearsed performance that was heartbreaking but for all the right reasons.

The judges loved it and felt like the duo improved considerably from last week.

Mr. T and Kym Herjavec

Mr. T and Kym tried to take all of the feedback on board from their most recent performance but failed miserably.

Trying to throw in pieces from T’s career was not the best move, and the judges even seemed to think so. They collectively agreed that they wanted more than they were getting.

Judges’ Score: 22/40

David Ross and Lindsay Arnold

David and Lindsay went with the Cha Cha to “Bust A Move” by Young MC. With great costumes, their performance felt rushed and all over the place.

It seemed like they spent more time on the costumes than the performance. The judges picked up on this made it clear they would need to adapt quickly.

Judges’ Score: 27/40

With the performances wrapped up, Tom and Erin opted to send Chris and Witney home. It’s always difficult leaving first, but it is a competition.

Dancing with the Stars: Feud Ignites Between Heather Morris and Nancy Kerrigan!

Have you been keeping up with all the goings-on with the latest season of Dancing with the Stars?

Yeah, it just premiered Monday night, but if you’ve been paying attention, there’s been a solid amount of drama already.

The big issue this season — the show’s 24th season, if you can even believe it — is that one of the cast members is none other than Heather Morris.

Heather is best known for playing the dumb but lovable Brittany Pierce on Glee, but the girl has also worked as a professional dancer.

Like, she’s been a backup dancer for Beyonce. She’s going to kill it.

And according to an insider who ran his or her mouth before the season began, “There has been some joking and a little snark about it among the other contestants.”

“But it’s just because there is literally no doubt she’s a professional dancer. It takes the others days or even a full week to learn a routine. She gets it down in a matter of hours.”

Dang right there’s no doubt she’s a professional dancer — you think Beyonce would just grab some pretty girls who can get down at the club or who took jazz classes when they were little?

But while it sounds like there’s a general issue among the other dancers in regards to Heather, now we’re learning that there’s one specific cast member who’s upset about the situation.

And that, friends, is Nancy Kerrigan.

How delicious, right?

A source tells Radar Online that “Heather and Nancy were super cold to each other” during Monday’s premiere, “and already have a duel going on.”

It makes sense — besides Heather, one would think Nancy would be one of the cast members to watch, what with her professional ice-skating background.

But also, both ladies received the same score during the premiere, tying for third place.

And third place was apparently not where Heather wanted to be.

“Heather was visibly upset last night after tying with Nancy for third place,” the source explains, “and said that her score was unfair. She was just so cocky going into the competition.”

But in an interview yesterday, Dancing with the Stars executive producer Ashley Edens explained why Heather won’t automatically destroy her competition.

“We’re not shying away from the fact that she 100 percent has dance experience,” Edens said. “Because of that, she will be judged on a higher level and there will be higher expectations on her.”

So after hearing that, we have to imagine that more meltdowns are in store.

Yep, this sure is a season to watch!

Dancing with the Stars: 9 Raciest Routines in Show History

When Bonner Bolton quickly grabbed the crotch of Sharna Burgess, the Internet went absolutely insane.

We"re not sure why, however, considering:

  1. It was clearly an accident.

  2. Dancing with the Stars has always been a tad risque.

With that in mind, we present the nine raciest moments in the history of Dancing with the Stars:

1. Ryan Lochte Goes Latin

Ryan lochte goes latin

You can hate Ryan Lochte for being a liar and a douchebag. But not for his body, which he showed off during Latin Night in 2016.

2. He, Tarzan

He tarzan

Nyle DiMarco made like Tarzan, with Peta Murgatroyd serving as Jane, for a routine in April of 2016.

3. Pretty Little Liar on Fire

Pretty little liar on fire

Artem Chigvintsev and Janel Parrish brought the roof down when they stripped down in 2014 for this burlesque number.

4. Speaking of Pretty Little Liars…

Speaking of pretty little liars

… we see you, Brant Daugherty!

5. Gilles Marini Made Gangnam Style Sexy!

How impressive is that?!?

6. GULP!

What else is there to say about Kym Johnson’s outfit here, circa 2010?

Dancing With the Stars Premiere Recap: Was Nick Viall a Hit?

Dancing With the Stars is back for another season of energetic dance routines, but did the new crop of stars make their mark?

Having Nick Viall as part of the cast is a big draw for many viewers of The Bachelor as they are probably struggling with the lack of the suitor on their TV sets.

Seriously, it’s almost like ABC wants him to be part of every single show on the network before they’re through with him. Is Once Upon a Time next?

It’s time to run down the performances on the season premiere…

Normani Kordei and Valentin Chmerkovskiy

Normani and Valentin performed the quickstep to “Good Time Good Life” by Erin Bowman.  Normani has been an avid fan of the series for many years, so she knew what she was in for.

However, performing first was always going to be a tough job, but she turned in a great dance, and it’s evident that she has a lot of chemistry with Valentin.

The judges were mostly positive about the pairing, but Len seemed to think there should have been more body contact.

Okay then.

Judges’ Score: 27/40

Nancy Kerrigan and Artem Chigvinstev

Nancy and Artem went with the Viennese Waltz to “She’s Always a Woman” by Billy Joel. For her first performance of the season, Nancy sure went all-out to make sure the judges knew she was there to win.

With an energetic dance routine, she delivered a show-stopping performance, and the judges seemed to agree that it was a great start for her.

Judges’ Score: 28/40

Chris Kattan and Witney Carson

Chris and Witney went with the Cha Cha to “What Is Love” by Haddaway. Chris did struggle through the training process due to breaking his neck before signing up.

Unfortunately, having energy does not mean you can dance, and Chris can definitely not dance. All the judges seemed to agree there was no dancing and that would be a problem down the line if he remained in the competition.

Judges’ Score: 17/40

Bonner Bolton and Sharna Burgess

The duo performed the Cha Cha to “Move” by Luke Bryan. There was chemistry from the get-go with this pair. They are this season’s Jana Kramer and Gleb Savchenko.

Chemistry aside, Bonner seemed unsure of some of his dance moves, and it rubbed off on the overall package.

Judges’ Score: 22/40

Charo and Keo Motsepe

Charo and Keo went with a Salsa to “Cuban Pete” by Mambo Compañeros. The duo performed well together, but there were some glaring issues.

At one point, it seemed like they were both doing something different. This could be attributed to first performance nerves, and the judges seemed hopeful they would improve with age.

Judges’ Score: 21/40

Nick Viall and Peta Murgatroyd

ABC sure loves Nick Viall. After being on two seasons of The Bachelorette, one season of Bachelor in Paradise and one season of The Bachelor, he’s now focusing his efforts on dancing.

There was always going to be tremendous hype about his performance, and he really turned in a solid performance.

Nick and Peta went with the Cha Cha to “Let Me Love” by DJ Snake and Tiësto feat. Justin Bieber. The judges even seemed to think there was something good with Nick’s dancing.

Judges’ Score: 24/40

Heather Morris and Maksim Chmerkovskiy

There was some pre-season hate for Heather because of her being a professional dancer for, you know, Beyoncé. It’s not entirely fair on the other contestants, but she was great.

She went with a Viennese Waltz to “Make Something Beautiful” by Ben Rector. The whole thing seemed a little too polished for the first episode of the season.

Judges’ Scores: 28/40

David Ross

Surprisingly, there was someone who seemed to give Heather a run for her money. After all the pre-season controversy surrounding the unfair advantage claims, David Ross was drafted in to perform a Quickstep with “Go Cubs Go.”

The judges were full of compliments for the duo.

Judges’ Score: 28/40

Erika Jayne and Gleb Savchenko

The duo performed the Salsa to “XXPEN$ IVE” by Erika Jayne.

Yes, Erika performed to her own song, and it was a raunchy affair that got the judges talking. Erika has proven in the past that she is no stranger to controversy and it seems like she’s trying to cause it with this number.

Judges’ Score: 24/40

Rashad Jennings and Emma Slater

Rashad and Emma performed the Cha Cha to “24K Magic” by Bruno Mars. With a story that would anybody weep, Rashad delivered in his first performance with Emma Slater.

It was a slack performance that seemed to be on point for the full duration of it. More like this, please!

Judges’ Score: 31/40

Mr. T and Kym Herjavec

Producers said they were trying to get Mr. T on the show for quite some time, but he stumbled through his opening performance wit Kym Herjavec.

Kym was just too good a dancer to be stuck with him. Hopefully, they turn it around if they make it to the next stage of the competition.

Judges’ Score: 20/40

Simon Biles and Sasha Farber

Simone and Sasha went with the Tango to “Untouchable” by Tritonal and Cash Cash. It was up there as one of the best performances of the night.

Seriously, the dancing and chemistry were all there, and these two are definitely the ones to watch for the rest of the season.

Judges’ Score: 32/40

What did you think of the season premiere?

Dancing With the Stars Scandal: Is the Fix In?

Dancing With the Stars is not rigged.

Let’s get that out of the way.

Last fall, both Ryan Lochte and Amber Rose made comments along these lines, with some contestants actually believing it was pre-ordained that Laurie Hernandez would win.

Now, a new controversy is brewing just days ahead of the show’s return… and it centers around Heather Morris.

Best known for her ditzy role as Brittany S. Pierce on former Fox hit Glee, Morris actually didn’t get her start in show business as an actress.

She got her start as a dancer.

In 2006, Morris advanced through Las Vegas Week on So You Think You Can Dance Season 2, nearly making the Top 20 that year.

She was then chosen as a backup dancer for Beyonce (yes, that Beyonce) for The Beyoncé Experience world tour in 2007, later working with the artist again on a mini “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” promotional tour.

This included 2008 performances on the American Music Awards, Saturday Night Live, The Ellen DeGeneres Show and The Today Show.

In other words:

Heather Morris is an experience, well-trained, former professional dancer!

And she’s appearing on Dancing with the Stars!

How is this fair?!?

“There has been some joking and a little snark about it among the other contestants,” an insider tells E! News, adding:

“But it’s just because there is literally no doubt she’s a professional dancer. It takes the others days or even a full week to learn a routine. She gets it down in a matter of hours.”

That seems like a pretty good reason for others to complain.

Isn’t this program entirely based around the concept of non-dancers having to learn complicated routines in a short period of time?

According to this same E! News article, one professional has even complained that it isn’t fair” for Morris to compete.

Keep in mind, both the professionals and the contestants make money each week they advance. There’s actually a decent chunk of change at stake here!

(Morris is also paired with Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who is very good looking. As if she needed another advantage!)

“I don’t think we’re the only ones that could pull off beautiful numbers,” Chmerkovskiy told E! News in response to the complains.

“I’m ready for us to be scrutinized a little different and judged a little different and rightfully so, we’ll do our best.”

And Morris told the outlet that the entire set-up will be pretty new to her.

“I’m nervous about the live audience…I’m just not totally used to it,” she says.

That holds true for all the contestants, however, and none of them can match her dancing background.

Do any of these quasi famous men and women have a chance against Morris?

Scroll around below and decide!

Kaitlyn Bristowe Slams Mike Fleiss: Why Couldn"t I Go Dancing With the Stars?!

Just as inevitable as The Bachelor spoilers revealing the winner before the finale is its star joining another hit ABC show right afterward.

But is there a Dancing With the Stars double-standard when it comes to Bachelor Nation members? Kaitlyn Bristowe alleges just that.

Amid news that Nick Viall joined the Dancing With the Stars Season 24 cast, Kaitlyn went off on The Bachelor for stonewalling her.

Specifically, she says the franchise’s creator and head honcho, Mike Fleiss, single-handedly prevented her from competing in 2015.

A source said then, “The timing isn’t right, but she loves the show and hopes to keep the door open for another season down the road.”

Kait begs to differ with that now, however.

She says she was “offered” a spot, but ultimately wasn’t allowed to sign the contract. Bristowe made the following comment on Twitter:

“Actually I was offered it, had the contract & Mike Fliess told me I wasn’t allowed. He said he didnt want people wanting fame after his show.”

She wrote that in response to a question from none other than Whitney Bischoff (Kaitlyn’s rival on Chris Soules’ season of The Bachelor).

Bischoff wondered why a Bachelorette star never seems to compete on DWTS; Soules, of course, went on to compete on the program.

The Iowa farmer isn’t alone in that regard. Jake Pavelka, Sean Lowe and now Nick have all traded in roses for dancing shoes as well.

Would Fleiss really stifle Kaitlyn – a dancer by trade, no less? After her tweet calling him out, the boss took to Twitter in response.

“@kaitlynbristowe has my total support if she wants to appear on DWTS!!!” Fless said, though Bristowe was far from impressed.

“Thanks I’ll get right on that opportunity 2 yrs ago. I wonder what changed your mind?” Kait, who is still engaged to Shawn Booth, wrote.

In another tweet, Fleiss seemingly defended himself against her allegations implying sexism when it comes to the DWTS-Bachelor funnel.

“Melissa R has a mirror ball. So quickly they forget! #thebachelor,” he wrote, referencing Melissa Rycroft, the short-lived Bachelor winner.

Rycroft was Jason Mesnick’s final rose pick before he changed his mind on the After the Final Rose and asked out now-wife Molly Malaney.

She didn’t go on to be The Bachelorette, but the former Cowboys cheerleader competed in Seasons 8 and 15 of DWTS, winning the former.

Moreover, Trista Sutter, the first-ever Bachelorette, also competed on the first season of Dancing, and she made sure to remind him online:

“I guess you have to have a mirror ball to matter?! I know it was b4 most people on Twitter were born, but I was on #DWTS. Shocking, I know.”

In Mike’s defense, we are on SEASON 24; Trista amusingly acknowledges how long both shows have been around with that Twitter joke.

We obviously have no idea what was said between Fleiss and Bristowe, but we doubt there is some major sexist conspiracy at work.

If a Bachelorette star or female Bachelor star wanted to have a go, and DWTS wanted them, we’d assume it would happen 95% of the time.

That doesn’t mean Mike didn’t nix Kaitlyn for unknown reasons – again, we have no idea what did or did not happen between the two.

We’re just saying that ratings are ratings, and a marriage like that clearly makes sense for both franchises, hence why it so often occurs.

Speaking of Bachelor marriages, Trista went on to say she doesn’t think joining DWTS soon after the final rose is the best idea, regardless.

“For the record, I think that if you are lucky enough to find love on #TheBachelor or “ette”, the odds of creating a future with that love……”

“…. are significantly higher without the time commitment/stresses of being a part of #dwts. I’m a huge fan of both shows, just not……”

“one right after the other. @kaitlynbristowe & Shawn are solid tho. Not that any1 will listen but she gets my vote to slay the dance floor!”

She gets ours too, although – and she seems to know this is the case, for what it’s worth – that ship likely sailed two years ago now.

Perhaps she can look at it as a silver lining that she and Shawn Booth are on such solid ground? They didn’t have to deal with the distraction.

See who else from The Bachelor and “ette” are still together below!

Dancing with the Stars Season 24: Meet the Cast!

The race Tango for the Mirrorball Trophy is officially underway!

ABC has confirmed the identities of all 12 contestants on Dancing with the Stars Season 24, with a pair of Olympians taking on a Real Housewife… going up against a World Series champion… a professional singer… a former A-Team member… and, of course, this season"s Bachelor.

Does Nick Viall stand a chance? No.

But that doesn"t mean this edition"s cast is lacking for talent? We estimate that one-third of the following stars have a chance of coming out on top.

Who do you think is the favorite?

1. Nick Viall and Peta Murgatroyd

Will Nick Viall and Peta Murgatroyd have what it takes to win Dancing with the Stars? We doubt it.

2. Bonner Bolton and Sharna Burgess

Bonner bolton and sharna burgess

Bonner Bolton and Sharna Burgess will not be the favorites on Dancing with the Stars. But maybe they’ll surprise us!

3. Charo and Keo Motsepe

We wish Charo and Keo Motsepe the best of luck on Dancing with the Stars. They may need it.

4. David Ross and Lindsay Arnold

Dancing with the Stars: Six New Contestants Confirmed!

Not so far, Simone Biles!

Upon hearing that you were set to go Dancing with the Stars this spring, we were prepared to hand you the Mirrorball Trophy for Season 24.

You’re a Gold Medal-winning gymnast, after all, who is very flexible and light on your feet.

But now sources have confirmed a new collection of D-Listers who will be competing this spring… and one could very well giving you a run Tango for your money.

two dancers

According to various outlets, Heather Morris will be a Dancing with the Stars contestant this season.

Morris is best known for having played Brittany on Glee, but she also has extensive training as an actual dancer.

She served as a backup dancer for Beyonce on The Beyonce Experience Tour and appeared on So You Think You Can Dance Season 2.

It seems almost unfair that she’d be given a spot on a series ostensibly about stars who have to learn how to dance, doesn’t it?

Entertainment Tonight, E! News and People Magazine have also confirmed the following “stars” will appear on the ABC competition, which returns on Monday, March 20:

NICK VIALL.

Of course, right? It’s become a tradition for the latest Bachelor to stick around ABC and get eliminated within a couple weeks on Dancing with the Stars.

CHARO.

The long-time singer appeared on Dancing with the Stars in 2010 to teach Pamela Anderson the flamenco. We can confirm that she’ll be paired with professional Keo Motsepe.

ERIKA GIRARDI.

Also known as Erika Jayne. She’s a cast member on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills who has a background as a singer and who often poses in a revealing manner.

Will be paired with Gleb Savchenko.

CHRIS KATTAN.

A unfunny former cast member on Saturday Night Live who has stopped by such shows as The Middle and How I Met Your Mother.

NORMANI KORDEI.

A member of Fifth Harmony. She hails from New Orleans and she looks up to Beyonce.

On the athlete front, we hear that NFL running back Rashad Jennings will trade in his cleats for some dancing shoes, while professional bull rider Bonner Bolton will team up with Sharna Burgess.

We also know that Mr. T and Nancy Kerrigan will be contestants, while Kym Johnson – who last appeared in 2015 – will make her professional return to the program this spring.

Look for the full cast to be announced on Good Morning America on Wednesday.

Which of these new stars do you think has the best chance to win it all?

Nancy Kerrigan to Go Dancing with the Stars!

We know well she can move around on the ice.

But we’ll soon discover whether Nancy Kerrigan can shake her groove thing under a different kind of spotlight, as Variety has confirmed the former Olympian has been cast on Dancing with the Stars Season 24.

Kerrigan, of course, is best known for her talent and for one of the most shocking scandals in Olympic history.

In January of 1994, Kerrigan was clubbed on the right knee by a police baton while walking backstage during the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Detroit.

It later came out that the assault was planned by rival Tonya Harding’s sketchy ex-husband, Jeff Gillooly.

Harding has always denied having had any knowledge of the attack prior to its occurrence… but come on. No one ever believed her.

Although Kerrigan’s injury forced her to withdraw from the U.S. Championships, her fellow skaters agreed that she deserved one of the two spots on the Olympic team.

Incredibly, Kerrigan went on to skate very well in Lillehammer at the Olympics and earned a Silver Medal in the process.

According to Variety, a member of Fifth Harmony will join Kerrigan on Dancing with the Stars this spring, which returns with new episodes on March 20.

With Camila Cabello having left the group, this rumor means that either Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane or Lauren Jauregui will compete for the Mirrorball Trophy.

It’s also expected that current Bachelor Nick Viall will Dance with the Stars, which would continue the ABC pattern of slotting the star of one of its reality shows into a position on another network reality show.

From this same franchise, Sean Lowe, Jake Pavelka, Melissa Rycroft and Trista Sutter have all competed on past seasons of Dancing with the Stars.

As reported earlier, two more additions to the Season 24 cast have also been confirmed:

Long-time action star Mr. T is on board, with an insider telling Entertainment Tonight that producers have been trying to rope him in for years.

Last year’s Olympic Gold Medalist Simone Biles is also on board, as she’ll try to make it back-to-back gymnastic winners on the program, following Laurie Hernandez’s Season 23 victory.

The full cast list will be revealed on Good Morning America on March 1.

Which of the aforementioned Fifth Harmony singers do you want to see compete?

Which Real Housewife do you want to see join? (Come on, you know there will be one.)

Which Nickelodeon star? Which recently-retired NFL player?

We’re just going with recent trends here.

As always, ABC itself is yet to confirm any of these casting rumors.

The network never says a word until the complete cast comes out on GMA, but you can trust us here:

Mr. T, Biles and Kerrigan are all on board right now.
