Megyn Kelly Basically Encourages Viewers to Shame Fat People

Megyn Kelly would very much like a mulligan.

The NBC anchor claims she really did not mean to sound this week as if she was PRO-fat shaming.

What led some viewers to think Kelly actually held this seemingly ridiculous stance? Well…

During an interview Thursday with fit mom Maria Kang – a mother who is very into fitness and who is best known for her “No Excuses” campaign – Kelly made an eyebrow-raising remark.

And that’s a kind way of putting it.

“You should parlay the shaming thing into a professional business. Because some of us want to be shamed,” said the controversial host to Kang, who was promoting her workout philosophy.

Continued Kelly, sharing some personal history:

“When I was in law school, I was gaining weight, I said to my stepfather, ‘If you see me going into that kitchen one more time, you say, ‘Where you going, fat a–?’

“And it works!”

It’s easy to see how Kelly could have just been trying to make a joke here.

But it’s also easy to see how it could have been interpreted as the encouragement of fat-shaming – since she’s literally explaining that making her feel bad about her body was an effective strategy employed by her family member.

On Friday, facing a great deal of backlash, Kelly clarified her position.

On air, the failing reporter said “would never encourage [body shaming] toward any person,” despite how she may have come across the day before.

“I said something yesterday on the show that clearly struck a nerve, and I think it’s a conversation we need to have openly,” Kelly continued.

“We were discussing body shaming others, something I absolutely do not support. In fact, quite the opposite.”

Kelly then got very candid with viewers.

She explained that her “entire family is or has been overweight or obese.”

She also shared that her sister weighed more than 300 pounds at one point, prior to undergoing gastric bypass surgery, and that when she Kelly was six years old, she came home “in tears” after a neighbor called her mom “fat.”

There’s a history here, she elaborated.

She was simply trying to relay some of it on Thursday in her chat with Kang.

“By the time I got to middle school, the hormones and the weight kicked in. I was chubby by any standard and soon I found myself on the wrong side of some vicious bullies,” Kelly said.

She added:

“Ones who called me fat, and made fun of my backside, who subjected me to humiliating pranks. Those comments can cut deep, trust me, I know.

“Soon there were diet pills and obsessive exercise and I had reduced my calorie intake to 500 calories a day.

“My heart was racing all day, my hair and skin were dry but I was thin. And so unhappy.

“I was scared of gaining weight because of the insane standard this country holds its women to and because I was and remain afraid of dying in my 40s, which happened to my father.”

Kelly has grown and evolved.

She says she tries to eat healthy and is no longer ashamed of her figure.

However, “I still cringe when I hear a person attacked for his or her weight.”

The journalist says she can relate and that’s all she ever meant to imply with her initial comment.

In conclusion:

“Please know, I would never encourage that toward any person. I’ve been thinking a lot about why I once encouraged it toward myself. What I know for sure is that weight is an issue for millions of people, thin and heavy alike.

“And neither deserves to be judged or shamed for how they choose to handle that struggle.”

Janelle Monae Encourages Global Sex Strike, Believes "Respect" for "The Vagina" Has Been Lost

Janelle Monae has a way with words.

But, if it were up to the singer and actress, no man on the planet would have his way with the body of any woman until society undergoes some much-needed changes.

In a cover story of this month’s issue of Marie Claire, the Hidden Figures star makes quite the bold statement:

She encourages those who share her gender to withhold their most private part from members of the opposite gender as a form of protest.

“People have to start respecting the vagina,” Monae told Marie Claire, explaining:

“Until every man is fighting for our rights, we should consider stopping having sex. I love men. But evil men? I will not tolerate that. You don’t deserve to be in my presence.”

This would explain why Melania Trump has not slept with Donald Trump in about a decade.

In all seriousness, however, this idea may sound ludicrous.

But if ALL women around the globe really did agree to close their legs for ALL men… you just know there would be equal pay laws on every book in about two-and-a-half days.

Monae acknowledges the facts.

She talks openly about the lack of female leadership around the country.

She figures that if voters won’t put a woman in the White House, for example, then women themselves need to take their own kind of unique stance in order to demand change.

“If you’re going to own this world and this is how you’re going to rule this world, I am not going to contribute anymore until you change it,” she says, addressing men in power and adding:

“We have to realize our power and our magic. Because I am all about black-girl magic, even though I’m standing with all women. But this year?

“This year, I am so carefree black girl.”

Monae also elaborated on what “sexy” means in her view, stressing the significance of embracing one’s individuality.

“Women automatically are told that this is how you should look. This is how you should get a man. This is how you should get a woman,” she told the magazine.

“You need to fit into all these boxes to be accepted. I don’t subscribe to that way of thinking. I don’t think we all have to take the same coordinates to reach the same destination.

“I believe in embracing what makes you unique even if it makes others uncomfortable.”

Amen, right?!?

In closing, the actress reminded readers just how important it is to stay true to themselves.

“I believe in embracing what makes you unique even if it makes others uncomfortable. I have learned there is power in saying no. I have agency. I get to decide.”

And, if it’s up to Monae, men won’t get to decide on the next time they have sex until they take a long, hard look in the mirror and realize:

I’ll never get long and hard in bed again unless I do some things differently!

Ariel Winter Posts Photos of Butt, Encourages Fans to Do the Same

You may want to sit down before you read any further, because we have some news that’s sure to shock you to your core and make you question everything you thought you knew about existence:

Ready? Deep breath: Ariel Winter has a butt.

Yes, we know, if you’ve seen Ariel Winter’s Instagram, then you’re well aware that she has a butt, but believe it or not, there are folks out there who don’t follow the Modern Family actress online.

They just leave her page sitting there like some sort of digital winning lottery ticket that they can’t be bothered to pick up.

Even worse, the all too common breed of anonymous beast known as the Internet Troll frequently pops up on Ariel’s page to shame her for flaunting her awe-inspiring curves for the benefit of her millions of followers.

Fortunately, Ms. Winter has no trouble brushing the dirt off her shoulders:

“I don’t really think I’m telling myself, ‘You should post this, you shouldn’t post that,’ I feel like I’m just having fun,” Winter recently told Entertainment Tonight.

“I like my fans to see what I’m doing.”

She says the butt kerfuffle in particular had her baffled:

“Everybody is so hyped up on the fact that I post photos where my butt’s out. It’s a butt. Everyone has a butt,” Winter says. “I don’t think it’s crazy.

“It’s like, ‘Let me live! I’m enjoying my life, you’re enjoying your life, you should be posting your butt if you like it, too!"”

And she has a simple solution for those who don’t like her epic belfies:

“I’m not going to fight with someone on my Instagram that tells me they don’t like my outfit or I should put my butt away,” she explains. “I’m sorry you think I should put my butt away, but just unfollow me.”

Damn straight, haters.

If you don’t like what you see, smash that “unfollow” button.

Ariel credits one of her curvy co-stars with giving her the strength to share what she wants to share regardless of what others may think:

“I really had the greatest opportunity to have some wonderful role models, especially Sofia Vergara,” Winter shared.

“Working with a curvy beautiful woman that everybody looked up to and loved the way she looked… that was my inspiration to move forward and accept myself because that’s what matters.”

Importantly, in this same interview, Ariel confirms that she’s single, having recently split with boyfriend Claude Gaudette.

“I’ve just kinda like been single for a little while now,” Winter said. “I’ve enjoyed it, and if something happens, it happens.”

So there you have it.

Now, you can enjoy photos of Ariel’s butt and pretend you have a chance with her! Bonus!

Brandi Glanville Encourages 12-Year-Old Son to Ask Girls If They"re Virgins, Continues to Be an Idiot

Brandi Glanville is a mom. If you follow her career or her bonkers Twitter account then you probably already knew that, but it’s a strange thing to actually contemplate.

A woman whose public image is defined by hurling wine glasses and criticizing the smell of other people’s vaginas is responsible for the proper upbringing of two humans.

We’re not trying to suggest that Brandi is a bad mom, frankly, we have no idea. We are saying, however, that it’s not surprising that her approach to parenting is similar to her approach to everything else in life.

Sometimes her honesty is refreshing; other times her insistence on saying whatever the hell pops into her head is seriously cringe-worthy.

Take, for example, the “good boyfriend homework” that Brandi recently assigned her 12-year-old before his first date (and, of course, tweeted to her many followers):

We remind you again that the kid is 12, which means his date should consist of holding hands at the Goosebumps movie, not asking the poor girl if she’s DTF.

If this girl comes home and tells her parents that Brandi’s son asked if she’s a virgin, he’s gonna be the first kid in 6th grade with a restraining order.

Naturally, Brandi experienced some backlash for the tweet, and she made a somewhat decent argument in her own defense:

“Listen people !!Our ages 15&16 are the new 12yrs- thanks to the Internet-if you’re in denial about this do some major research,” she tweeted.

Yes, Brandi we agree that kids are growing up faster than ever, but “Are you a virgin?” is a pretty weird first date question at any age, ya dig?

Look, your sons already have LeAnn Rimes as a stepmother and a mom who doesn’t know the difference between “there” and “their.”

Don’t put them at a further disadvantage by teaching them how to be total creepsters at a young age.
