Janelle Brown: Is She Leaving Sister Wives or Not?!?
Janelle Brown would like your attention, please.
The veteran Sister Wives cast member has apparently been reading the Internet and browsing through various celebrity gossip websites.
She knows what folks out there are saying about her and her marital/professional status.
And the TLC personality is now here to put a stop to the rumors once and for all.
We type, of course, about one rumor in particular:
Is she leaving Kody Brown and, in turn, is she therefore leaving Sister Wives?
Janelle attemped to address this chatter in May when she shared a selfie of her and her husband out on a date.
Wasn’t that sufficient evidence to prove she and Kody were still madly in love? Especially when she wrote the following as a caption?
I’ve wanted to see U2 in concert since I was 19. Finally made it 30 years later and with my love. So dang excited.
Yes, critics, she just referred to Kody as her love.
But the Internt is gonna Internet and speculation has continued to run wild in regard to Janelle’s marriage, along with her role on one of TV’s most controversial reality programs.
“@JanelleBrown117 You are in the hot seat on fb this wk!” wrote a fan on Twitter late Sunday might, adding:
“I’ve seen various “articles” about “Janelle leaving SW”, “Janelle leaving family”, “Janelle’s new diet plan just $ 19.95.” LoL. You’ve been quite busy.”
Janelle apparently appreciated this individual’s comment and sarcasm, responding with a very simple and light-hearted statement of her own:
“Haha – so crazy. Of course it’s all rubbish.”
So there we have it, we guess?
Janelle is committed to Kody and will remain a strong presence on Sister Wives going forward.
Can the same be said of her other co-stars, however?
Tabloid cover stories for years now have ran anonymous quotes that claimed one Sister Wife or another was finally sick of her unusual arrangement with Kody.
It wouldn’t be hard to blame them if this were the case, considering they’re sharing a man with mulitple women.
Most prominent among those rumored to be departing the series is Meri Brown.
She was caught in a catfishing scandal in 2016 during which she thought she had found herself a new man… only it turned out to be a woman.
AWKWARD!
Then, just a few weeks ago, we reported that she has once again found herself a new man… only this time it turned out to actually be a man.
PROGRESS!
Still, as far as we know, Meri is still a key part of the series.
Sister Wives last aired a new episode on April 1, 2018.
TLC has not yet announced a return date for the program, which has already been on the air for 12 seasons.
How crazy is that?!?
That’s more seasons than Kody has wives!

Janelle Brown Shares Kody Brown Date Photo: We"re Still in Love!
Even though Sister Wives star Kody Brown recently celebrated his anniversary with Meri, rumors swirled that Meri has found a new man.
But things still seem to be pretty solid for Kody and Janelle.
In fact, the two went on a romantic concert date … and Janelle shared the photos so that everyone could share in the experience.
Janelle seems very happy in her marriage. We only wish that this were the case for a certain troubled sister wife of hers.
Poor Meri Brown. She’s had a rough go of things. Worst of all was her catfishing scandal which was also a cheating scandal, of sorts. She has seemed so unhappy for a long time.
But just a few weeks ago, she and Kody went out and about together to celebrate their anniversary.
She’s not Kody’s only wife, of course.
Janelle has avoided scandals. She is known for having never legally married Kody (under current laws, he can only legally be married to one wife at a time).
She is also known for her dramatic weight loss, and she has gone on to share tips with fans and viewers.
It appears that Kody and Janelle treated themselves to a concert.
Janelle shared a selfie from the audience and a glimpse of the performance, captioning the photos:
“I’ve wanted to see U2 in concert since I was 19.”
So this has been a long time coming.
“Finally made it 30 years later and with my love.”
You could feel how thrilled she was.
“So dang excited.”
Janelle and Kody are both 49, so it stands to reason that they grew up with relatively similar music tastes — though plenty of people pick up on theri partner’s music.
The two saw the U2 show in Las Vegas and Janelle was happy to share a glimpse of that fun with her fans and followers.
Fans have noted that Janelle continues to seem happy with her polygamous marriage to Kody.
She was, like her sister wives, impacted by Meri’s catfishing scandal. They all were. She noted to Meri that nothing in their marriage happens in a vacuum.
It was enough to make Meri wonder if she needed to leave Kody for everyone’s sake.
It’s great for Janelle that she enjoys her marriage to Kody — even if it isn’t legally recognized.
But some in polyamorous relationships object to Sister Wives because they consider it a negative portrayal.
Though Kody wanted to do the series in order to push for acceptance and legalization of polygamy, he may be undercutting his efforts by, well, being himself.
His reaction to Meri’s catfishing scandal — admitting that he didn’t even want to have sex with Meri anymore — did not exactly win many people over.
Would anyone really blame her if she decided to move on with a new man?
A lot of people, including Sister Wives fans, find Kody to be creepy and single-minded and egocentric and generally off-putting.
Many viewers enjoy the show, but they watch for the wives — Robyn, Christine, Janelle, and Meri — and for the children.
Janelle may be happy with Kody, but some wonder if it’s only a matter of time before Meri leaves him to live a happier life.
And that’s assuming that she isn’t in the process of doing that already.
Janelle, however, looks like she’s still happy right where she is.

Janelle Monae Just Totally and Completely Owned Kanye West
Over the past several days, quite a large number of think pieces have been written about Kanye West.
Pretty much anyone with an Internet account has tried to analyze the rapper and his recent run of verbal diarrhea, highlighted last week by his claim that slavery was a “choice.”
You remember that remark, right?
You remember how Kanye visited the TMZ newsroom and ranted about how African-Americans were held captive by white people for “400 years” and, therefore, simply had to have chosen to remain enslaved?
As a refresher, this is what he said:
You hear about slavery for 400 years. For 400 years? That sounds like a choice. Like, that was there for 400 years and it’s all of y’all?
It’s like, we’re mentally in prison.
Even Kanye eventually realized he had maybe crossed a line with this line of thought, sort of backtracking later on via social media, as you can see below:
During the court of his discussion on race with TMZ, West wondered why he was being attacked when he was simply being a “free thinker.”
He later said folks just couldn’t handle his “new ideas.”
The musician is either off his mental rocker or willing to say absolutely anything in order to promote his upcoming album.
Either way, however, Janelle Monae was not about to let his comments slide.
During a radio interview with LA’s Power 106 late last week, the singer voiced her disappointment in Kanye and shared her thoughts on the whole slavery situation.
“I come from love. I try not to listen to things to just respond or clap back but really listen to understand,” she said, adding:
“I think we just have to be patient with each other. I don’t agree [with Kanye’s comments], and I’ve been very vocal about that.”
And then she got more vocal, using Kanye’s own (stupid) words against him as follows:
“I’m a free thinker and here’s a free thought:
“I think that if free thinking is rooted in the oppression of minorities, LBGTQ, immigrants and women, then I don’t fuck with your free thoughts. I just think there has to be some balance.
“I mean, slave masters also thought freely, and where did we get with that?”
And there it is. There’s all that really has to be said on this subject.
Anyone is free to think however anyone wants.
But once you verbalize those thoughts, and said verbalizing has an actual effect on society, well… that changes everything.
Just look at how Donald Trump is taking advantage of Kanye’s endorsement on the campaign trail:
According to one report, Kim Kardashian is considering a divorce in light of Kanye’s recent string of idiocy.
Yet others are sticking up for the rapper.
“Notice that a week ago the world was silent about Kanye. Now the entire world is in uproar over things he has said or done for the world to see,” The Game told Billboard via email.
He added:
“Don’t think for a minute that his actions and plan weren’t well thought out and set up for his goal to reach his maximum potential.
“Kanye will always be a friend of mine & although I might not necessarily agree with his views on certain topics, that is what separate us as individuals.”
Based on this logic, one can say anything one wants as long as it keeps one in the news and there’s nothing to criticize because, hey, it’s all about “freedom of thought,” right?!?
Sigh.
People can be so not very smart sometimes.

Janelle Monáe Comes Out as Pansexual
Let the rumors be true.
So sings Janelle Monáe on her brand new album.
And so says Janelle Monáe, basically, in the latest issue of Rolling Stone.
The singer opens up about her sexuality for the first time in an extended chat with the national publication.
“Being a queer black woman in America, someone who has been in relationships with both men and women, I consider myself to be a free-ass motherf-cker,” says the artist in this cover story.
She first identified as bisexual, Monáe explains, “but then later I read about pansexuality and was like, ‘Oh, these are things that I identify with, too.
“I’m open to learning more about who I am.”
As defined by Wikipedia, pansexuality (also referred to sometimes as “omnisexuality”) is the “sexual, romantic or emotional attraction towards people regardless of their sex or gender identity.”
This admission should not come as a major surprise to anyone who has been following the life and/or career of Monáe.
Monáe has been linked to actress Tessa Thompson for awhile now, yet she refused to discuss her dating life with Rolling Stone.
She didn’t want to get into any specifics.
The singer, though, says she’s never gone out of her way to hide her sexuality; that she never was trying to keep it some big secret.
“If you listen to my albums, it’s there,” she says.
Has she had a big talk with her loved ones about this side of her personal life? No.
Will she? Maybe.
“I literally do not have time to hold a town-hall meeting with my big-ass family and be like, ‘Hey, news flash!"” she tells the magazine.
The veteran singer said she’s concerned they’ll bring it up when she visits her home town of Kansas City.
“There are people in my life that love me and they have questions,” Monáe explains. “And I guess when I get there, I’ll have to answer those questions.”
She will now, yes.
Monáe’s new album comes out tomorrow and the singer says she hopes it will serve as an inspiration to everyone who gives it a listen.
“I want young girls, young boys, nonbinary, gay, straight, queer people who are having a hard time dealing with their sexuality, dealing with feeling ostracized or bullied for just being their unique selves, to know that I see you,” she tells Rolling Stone.
She then concludes:
“This album is for you. Be proud.”

Janelle Brown: Sister Wives Star Debuts Dramatic Weight Loss!
Janelle Brown of Sister Wives, along with her husband, Kody, was in Las Vegas over the weekend, even the night before the Las Vegas shooting that claimed the lives of 59 people and injured 527.
Janelle updated her Instagram to make sure that everyone knew that she and the whole Brown family are okay. So don’t panic.
But Janelle had also shared a photo, below, and it is striking how much weight she has lost. You might not recognize her.
Sister Wives gets a lot of criticism, but it tends to have much less to do with the titular wives and a lot more to do with the family’s husband, Kody Brown.
Kody just comes across as unlikable and more than a little creepy.
The Browns agreed to do the show because they wanted to help normalize polygamy and to push for legalization.
A lot of people who are totally in support of legalizing the marriages of more than two consenting adults are disappointed, because Sister Wives does not really show a great example of healthy polyamory.
Instead, we get Kody. Off-putting and obnoxious Kody.
On the plus side, we’ve gotten to know the wives themselves by watching the series. And their children, and their children’s loved ones.
While Meri Brown had a disappointing reaction to learning that her daughter was gay, other moms have had more positive reactions to their children’s love lives.
Like Janelle, whose son Logan Brown recently got engaged.
But anyway, this is about Janelle, specifically.
So, as we said, Kody and Janelle were in Vegas over the weekend.
On Sunday, Janelle shared the (below) photo with the caption:
“Kody and I may really regret the second night in a row LOL. But we couldn’t pass up Depeche Mode! I love the concert opportunities Las Vegas . #wemaybecrazy @kodywinnbrown”
Like we said, they’re totally okay, unlike hundreds of victims of the terrorist shooting.
But one very striking thing about the photo is how much trimmer Janelle’s face looks.
Take a look:
She really does look dramatically thinner.
Sometimes, people’s faces are the last parts of them that lose weight.
In a video fro TLC, Janelle has spoken about her weight loss journey.
“You know, I’ve been making some big changes in my life — trying to get myself healthier and my kids healthier — and part of that is what I’ve been fixing for dinner and that I’ve been fixing dinner.”
She’s been combining diet and exercise, which really is the best path to changing your figure and, often, one’s health.
“So I’m a big bargain shopper and a coupon shopper — so I have a pantry, and I stock it full of things when they are on sale, they’re cheap. But really, not a lot of processed foods; I don’t keep a lot of pastries, or even a lot of pasta.”
Pasta is delicious, but we’ll grudgingly admit that it’s usually not conducive to weight loss and should therefore be eaten sparingly if you’re looking to change your habits.
“I used to be a person that would order out or drive-thru somewhere two or three nights a week.”
For some people, that’s the healthiest choice. Depending on how much time you have in the day, ordering delivery might be your only way to be sure that you make healthy choices.
If you don’t have much time, something like curry with all of its vegetables could be a much better option than heating up some frozen enchiladas. Not everyone has time to prepare a full meal.
But if she does, that’s great. It’s clearly working for her.
“And i’ve come back to really making the base of our meals — meat, or protein, fish, or chicken, whatever it is that I have — and then fruits and vegetables, and then adding potatoes or whatever it is that I have around the same for the children.”
Really thinking about what you’re putting into your meals and therefore into your body is a smart choice.
“I’ve seen our overall health improve, I’ve seen our grocery budget go down, and I think it’s pretty much changed the way that we’re eating at home. And that’s really led to great success in my fitness journey as well — to improve the way that I’m eating.”
That’s so great!
Now, if Janelle could only lose … however much Kody weighs. You know, like the classic divorcee quote: “I just lost 200 pounds!” Or, you know, whatever the ex-husband weighs.
Actually, we’ve heard repeatedly that Kody Brown might lose all four sister-wives, but they never seem to part ways.
Is it just wishful thinking on our part that they’ll start living their own lives and stop living under Kody’s thumb?
Could it be that Kody has qualities that make him an admirable husband and the camera has just failed to capture those?
Probably not.

Janelle Monae Encourages Global Sex Strike, Believes "Respect" for "The Vagina" Has Been Lost
Janelle Monae has a way with words.
But, if it were up to the singer and actress, no man on the planet would have his way with the body of any woman until society undergoes some much-needed changes.
In a cover story of this month’s issue of Marie Claire, the Hidden Figures star makes quite the bold statement:
She encourages those who share her gender to withhold their most private part from members of the opposite gender as a form of protest.
“People have to start respecting the vagina,” Monae told Marie Claire, explaining:
“Until every man is fighting for our rights, we should consider stopping having sex. I love men. But evil men? I will not tolerate that. You don’t deserve to be in my presence.”
This would explain why Melania Trump has not slept with Donald Trump in about a decade.
In all seriousness, however, this idea may sound ludicrous.
But if ALL women around the globe really did agree to close their legs for ALL men… you just know there would be equal pay laws on every book in about two-and-a-half days.
Monae acknowledges the facts.
She talks openly about the lack of female leadership around the country.
She figures that if voters won’t put a woman in the White House, for example, then women themselves need to take their own kind of unique stance in order to demand change.
“If you’re going to own this world and this is how you’re going to rule this world, I am not going to contribute anymore until you change it,” she says, addressing men in power and adding:
“We have to realize our power and our magic. Because I am all about black-girl magic, even though I’m standing with all women. But this year?
“This year, I am so carefree black girl.”
Monae also elaborated on what “sexy” means in her view, stressing the significance of embracing one’s individuality.
“Women automatically are told that this is how you should look. This is how you should get a man. This is how you should get a woman,” she told the magazine.
“You need to fit into all these boxes to be accepted. I don’t subscribe to that way of thinking. I don’t think we all have to take the same coordinates to reach the same destination.
“I believe in embracing what makes you unique even if it makes others uncomfortable.”
Amen, right?!?
In closing, the actress reminded readers just how important it is to stay true to themselves.
“I believe in embracing what makes you unique even if it makes others uncomfortable. I have learned there is power in saying no. I have agency. I get to decide.”
And, if it’s up to Monae, men won’t get to decide on the next time they have sex until they take a long, hard look in the mirror and realize:
I’ll never get long and hard in bed again unless I do some things differently!

Sister Wives Sneak Peek: Meri vs. Janelle!
I don"t know how these women do it.
Dealing with the emotional ickiness of having to share a husband with three other women is bad enough.
But having to fight over dominance on who gets to plan Thanksgiving?
These are the everyday peccadillos that vex a polygamous family such as the Browns.
In a clip for Sister Wives, the ladies are making preparations for Thanksgiving, but Meri and Janelle are at odds.
"You"ve come empty handed!" Meri exclaims when Janelle walks in the room. "I thought the plan was we had ideas."
Meri was already hard at work, trimming decorations for the dinner, but Janelle had a different perception of their meeting"s goals.
"When I walked into Meri"s I was just surprised how much she bought already," she reveals in her confessional. "Wow… I thought we were still in the planning stages."
"She"s got dishes and she"s got everything. She"s already got it."
The pair bicker over the settings before Janelle admits that she"s "challenged" when it comes to "artsy-craftsy stuff."
Meri explains that there"s a lot of work to do and she needs help, and Janelle tells her she wants to be really hands-on.
"I"m swimming a little bit because I really wanted to be more in on the planning part, but I"m conflicted because I like what she"s chosen," Janelle says to camera.
"It sort of feels like the project"s getting away from me now, like it"s becoming a little bit more Meri"s project."
Meri seems to know that her sister wife lacks the Martha Stewart gene and deems the project "overwhelming" for her.
The scene depicts passive-aggressiveness at its finest.
This episode was shot last year, but in the time since we"re learned a number of developments about the family.
In fact, it sounds like holiday woes are just the tip of the iceberg, because both Meri and Janelle are rumored to be leaving the show – and their "husband" Kody Brown.
Earlier this month, Kody got some bad news when a Utah judge denied his request to make plural marriages legal.
Sounds like the women are cool with that.

Sister Wives Implosion Continues: Janelle Bolts, Meri Next?!
Sister Wives may never be the same as reports continue to swirl around the wives of Kody Brown getting ready to peace out of the show.
And, with it, the Utah-Nevada family’s “plural” marriage.
Rumors have been circulating for weeks that Kody is getting dumped by three wives prior to Season 7 of the hit TLC reality program.
His allegedly abusive behavior is to blame … though that hasn’t been confirmed, and it’s not like their lives weren’t already complicated.
After all, he’s been banging Robyn exclusively and spending the bulk of his time with their newborn daughter (his 18th child), Ariella.
The three wives’ departure thus made for easy gossip fodder, but recently, chatter of Meri and Janelle Brown leaving started to get real.
Meri has been busy dropping hints about her leaving the show before and after she was catfished by a woman pretending to be a man.
She has posted several cryptic quotes and speaks openly about “feelings of abandonment,” so it’s not hard to read between the lines.
Meri also quoted actor Jim Caviezel saying, “Freedom is not the ability to do what we want, it’s having the right to do what we ought.”
Janelle, for her part, has already ditched Kody and is focusing on her real estate career with TMI Realty, according to multiple reports.
Because of depression, she once took her kids with her and stayed at her mom’s for an extended period of time, so it’s not unprecedented.
That leaves Christine, who can’t be far behind.
Quite a fall from grace for a dude who once bragged to TLC cameras about how he got to go home to a different wife every night.
These days … there’s Robyn. One out of four ain’t bad, at least? Time to rename the show Sister Wife: Counting On and call it a day?
