Gretchen Wilson Arrested for Disturbance on Airplane (See Her Unusual Mug Shot!)

Gretchen Wilson, the country artist likely best known for the 2004 hit “Redneck Woman,” was arrested after an incident on an airplane, Tuesday, multiple outlets have confirmed.

And she’s now responsible for one of the most memorable celebrity mug shots of all-time as a result.

Before we get to that, however, consider the details of what allegedly transpired…

Connecticut State Police have confirmed that the 45-year old singer was taken into custody on Tuesday night about 7:15 p.m.

Wilson was on a flight landing at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, Connecticut when she allegedly created some kind of “minor disturbance” aboard the plane.

As a resukt, cops actually her near the vehicle after it hit the ground.

“While interviewing the accused on the jetway, she became belligerent “toward officers and caused a ‘disturbance,’” according to the arrest report.

The star was “ultimately taken into custody for Breach of Peace,” the report adds.

Shortly thereafter, she managed to close her eyes, look down and somehow NOT be centered for her mug shot.

You don’t see that combination very often…

Wilson is expected in court on Wednesday.

A resident of Lebanon, Tennessee, Wilson was scheduled to perform at the Mohegan Sun casino in Connecticut on Wednesday, hence why she was touching down in the area on Tuesday evening.

We can’t say for certain, but it seems unlikely at this point that she’ll hit that stage as planned.

The 2005 Grammy Award winner’s latest album, Ready to Get Rowdy, was release in June 2017.

She famously crooned, “I ain’t no high-class broad” in her aforementioned hit track, and has established a reputation for herself as being somewhat of a rebel.

So we guess this act fits.

“Redneck Woman” was the lead single off Wilson’s debut album, “Here for the Party.”

It climbed all the way to number-one on the country charts.

Her second album, “All Jacked Up,” came out a year later — and the title track became the highest-debuting song for a female country artist.

Away from the microphone, the singer has also been known for the time, effort and money she gives to various charities, including being an advocate for adult education.

In 2008, she completed her GED and has since testified before Congress about the importance of support for adult learners.

Her bail has been set at $ 1,000.

UPDATE:

Wilson’s troubles allegedly began when she tried to use the airplane’s restroom.

Per WFSB, the artist grew impatient while waiting in line and knocked on the bathroom door.

Other passengers have stated that this appeared to irritate the woman who was inside… as proven by the door being swung open and nearly colliding with Wilson.

The two then had a brief verbal spat.

Gretchen Rossi: Returning to RHOC to Ruin Tamra Judge"s Life?!

We’ve heard that one of the priorities that producers had for this past season was to try to reunite Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Judge.

That goal was apparently why they brought back Lydia McLaughlin. And, mission more or less accomplished, they’ve now fired Lydia McLaughlin. Make of that what you will.

But that doesn’t mean that Tamra is headed for a drama-free life. Because it looks like Gretchen Rossi is going to make an epic return to The Real Housewives of Orange County.

Tamra Judge and Gretchen Rossi aren’t exactly what you’d call friends.

You might think that, with Gretchen no longer on The Real Housewives of Orange County, the ongoing dislike between the two of them might have cooled off during the past season.

Out of sight, out of mind, you know?

Instead, things actually reached a boiling point — no, they more or less exploded — between Gretchen and Tamra.

See, back in August, Sidney Barney slammed Tamra Judge as a bad mother, accusing neglect and emotional abuse.

Sidney, not an adult, alleged that her estranged mother continued to use her as a storyline despite her repeated requests to not be mentioned, that Tamra misrepresented her relationship with Sidney to gain sympathy from followers, and that Tamra basically just sucks.

Sidney said that a little more eloquently, but you get the idea.

How did Gretchen respond to Sidney’s post?

With sympathy and support. Gretchen wrote in a publicly visible reply to Sidney’s post:

“You have no idea how your brave words are helping so many who have been wronged by your mother’s manipulation and lies as well … “

We honestly doubt that this was Sidney’s intention, but Gretchen was clearly making this about her.

“So thank you for being brave enough to speak the truth.”

“I am so sorry your mother and your family is going through any of this, especially publicly, but continue to stay strong.”

“Your morals and strength are commendable and inspiring.”

That is classic the enemy of my enemy is my friend, right there.

Well, it looks like Tamra’s life is about to get a whole lot more stressful.

RadarOnline reports that Gretchen Rossi is being courted to return to The Real Housewives of Orange County.

For a price.

“Gretchen is willing to return, but producers know she will only sign if they offer the kind of money she can’t refuse.”

According to their source, Gretchen wants the kind of salary that Vicki Gunvalson is making.

Reportedly, Vicki is pulling in about $ 750,000 a year. But apparently producers think that Gretchen might be worth it.

“Producers for RHOC know that they need someone who is going to bring the drama, and Gretchen will certainly do just that.”

She’ll certainly do that.

After Vicki and Tamra ever-so-slightly mended fences in Iceland, producers will want new, fresh drama that doesn’t threaten to derail the entire series.

They’ll also need it to be a source of reliable drama, too.

“Gretchen will never, ever make up with Tamra.”

That sounds much better than the random fights that the now-fired Peggy Sulahian used to engage in for no reason other than the fact that cameras were rolling.

“The two hate each other so much and it does not matter to Gretchen whether or not Vicki let it go because she will not.”

Gretchen and Vicki, of course, are still friends. But it sounds like Gretchen won’t hold back.

You know that Vine (who else is excited about Vine 2?!) where the kid does his impression of Real Housewives by stuffing his shirt hilariously and then saying “I won’t hesitate, bitch” while pointing a toy gun?

That, it sounds like, is what we can look forward to from the next season of The Real Housewvies of Orange County.

Assuming that producers cough up the requisite dough, that is.

With Meghan King Edmonds remaining on the show because she’s pregnant and Gretchen a likely castmate, we’re reportedly still looking at at least three new castmates being added to the roster for next season.

It’ll be interesting to see what sort of dynamic the producers cook up.

Gretchen Carlson Lawsuit: Settled for HOW MUCH?!?

Gretchen Carlson is set to dismiss her lawsuit against ex-Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes.

For a very pretty set of pennies, that is.

Back in July, Carlson filed a sexual harrasment suit against her former employer, alleging in legal documents that Ailes propositioned her for sexual intercourse…

… and then punished her on the job front after she turned down his advances.

“Ailes has unlawfully retaliated against [her] and sabotaged her career because she refused sexual advances and complained about severe and pervasive sexual harassment,” a portion of the lawsuit read.

Carlson was let go from her role Fox & Friends in 2013 and then her contract was not picked up this past June.

She also named former colleague Steve Doocy in her lawsuit, writing that he “regularly treat[ed] her in a sexist and condescending way” when they worked together.

Carlson went on to accuse Doocy of “engaging in a pattern and practice of severe and pervasive sexual harassment” that was the equivalent to treating her as “a blond female prop.”

She was seeking an undisclosed amount of money for what she went through at Fox News.

And now Vanity Fair confirms that she’ll be walking away with $ 20 million.

Ailes will reportedly be paying for a portion of this settlement figure.

Carlson even received an apology as part of the company’s statement in announcing the end of this legal matter. It reads as follows:

“21st Century Fox is pleased to announce that it has settled Gretchen Carlson’s lawsuit.

“During her tenure at Fox News, Gretchen exhibited the highest standards of journalism and professionalism. She developed a loyal audience and was a daily source of information for many Americans. We are proud that she was part of the Fox News team.

“We sincerely regret and apologize for the fact that Gretchen was not treated with the respect and dignity that she and all of our colleagues deserve.”

Ailes has also been accused of sexual harassment by Megyn Kelly and other Fox News employees.

He resigned his post as CEO soon after Carlson’s lawsuit went public.

According to a cover story in New York Magazine this week, Carlson secretly taped some of her conversations with Ailes.

(So she really was a lot smarter than she was portrayed to be on air.)

“I am gratified that 21st Century Fox took decisive action after I filed my complaint,” said Carlson in her own statement.

“I’m ready to move on to the next chapter of my life in which I will redouble my efforts to empower women in the workplace. I want to thank all the brave women who came forward to tell their own stories and the many people across the country who embraced and supported me in their #StandWithGretchen.

“All women deserve a dignified and respectful workplace in which talent, hard work and loyalty are recognized, revered and rewarded.”

Andrea Tantaros, meanwhile, has brought her own lawsuit against Fox News, alleging in her complaint that the network “operated like a sex-fueled, Playboy Mansion-like cult, steeped in intimidation, indecency, and misogyny.”

What an amazing quote.

Oh, and Ailes is now serving as a key advisor to Donald Trump.

Gretchen Carlson Breaks Silence on Sexual Harassment Suit

Gretchen Carlson has spoken out for the first time since filing a lawsuit against her former employer.

Last week, as previously reported, the former Fox & Friends co-host sued Fox News Chariman Roger Ailes for sexual harassment.

In her legal documents, Carlson alleged that Ailes propositioned her for sex and then punished her afterward once she turned him down.

One portion of Carlson’s suit reads as follows:

“Ailes has unlawfully retaliated against [her] and sabotaged her career because she refused sexual advances and complained about severe and pervasive sexual harassment.”

Now, in an interview with The New York Times, Carlson says part of the reason why she took this step was to stand up for other women who have faced similar scenarios in the workplace.

“I just wanted to stand up for myself, first and foremost,” Carlson tells the newspaper, adding:

“And I wanted to stand up for other women who maybe faced similar circumstances.”

Ailes has strongly denied all charges.

He says Carlson was fired from Fox & Friends in 2013 due to a ratings drop and then let go entirely from Fox News last month due to poor performance.

“This defamatory lawsuit is not only offensive, it is wholly without merit and will be defended vigorously,” Ailes said in response a few days ago.

In a statement that refers to Carlson’s lawyer, meanwhile, a Fox News spokeswoman, Irena Briganti, said:

“Between chasing ambulances and headlines, the truth seems to have been run over by Nancy Erika Smith.”

That’s a pretty good line, anyone has to admit.

Carlson worked at Fox News for 11 years. She tells The Times here that she had had six to 10 meetings with Ailes during her tenure at Fox in order to discuss his “continuous” sexist language.

“Everyone knew how powerful Roger Ailes was. I certainly felt intimidated by that,” Carlson added.

Since Carlson went public with these accusations, six other women have come out and made similar allegations.

One says she was working at Fox News as a 16-year old when Ailes exposed his testicles to her and told her to “kiss them.” She refused, running out of his office in tears.

When asked what she hoped to achieve by bringing this lawsuit, Carlson didn’t need to consult with her attorneys to give an answer.

“To stand up for what happened to me and what was the truth,” she said.

It’s also worth noting that Carlson has named former colleague Steve Doocy in her suit.

She claims that he “regularly treat[ed] her in a sexist and condescending way” when they worked together, “engaging in a pattern and practice of severe and pervasive sexual harassment” that was akin to treating her as “a blond female prop.”

Carlson is seeking an undisclosed monetary figure for “lost compensation, damaged career path, damage to reputation and pain and suffering damages.”

Gretchen Rossi: My On-Camera Proposal To Slade Smiley Was Totes Real!

Oh, gurl.

Once upon a time, Gretchen Rossi joined The Real Housewives of Orange County, because producers believed she had a compelling storyline.

And she did!  She was dating 54-year-old Jeff Beitzel, COO of an Irvine-based tech company, and he was terminally ill (Beitzel passed away in 2008).

Things got even more interesting when Rossi started dating Slade Smiley, who starred on the first two seasons of the series with his then-fiance, Jo De La Rosa.

Except this time, Smiley came riddled with debt and covered in bad publicity.  He was accused of not paying child support for his son, Grayson, who is still battling cancer.

In addition to that, Smiley"s investments went belly-up after the market crash, so his return to Orange County wasn"t exactly welcome.

Last night, Bravo aired The Real Housewives of Orange County Uncensored, and one segment addressed Rossi"s proposal to Slade atop a California skyscraper.

The producers, Any Cohen and OC star Tamra Judge allege that Rossi dreamed up the storyline to stay on the show, because shooting footage of Rossi accepting shipments of her bag line weren"t doing the trick.

"I remember having a conversation with Gretchen and I said to her, ‘You"re not doing anything. You"ve got nothing going on with your life. You have no kids, you"re not married," and lo and behold she came up with this big plan to propose to Slade," Judge said.

Ouch, Tamra.  That"s cold.

In the clip, Rossi was adamant that her proposal to Smiley was authentic.  She even choked up at the thought that people assumed it was fake.

It"s hard to believe this was anything other than a ploy, because not long after being fired from the franchise in 2013, Smiley and Rossi signed up for Marriage Boot Camp on WE TV.

Yesterday, Rossi called out Bravo for – what every reality star bitches about – editing.

"Unfortunately most of the questions I was asked during my interview, including why I ultimately am no longer on the show, did not get used," Rossi wrote.

"So if you want the unedited & complete version of what happened, you should ask @bravotv to air my entire interview (I give Bravo permission to air my full unedited version).

Watch the clip below, and determine for yourself if this whole thing was a sham.

Lindsay Lohan: Still Trying to Make Mean Girls 2 Happen, Is Basically Gretchen Wieners

In case you weren’t reminded of it 47 times on social media, October 3 was “Mean Girls Day” – so called because Lindsay Lohan says the date in the movie, and the Internet exists for the purpose of beating obscure references into the ground.

Obviously, no one was more excited about this than LiLo herself, because when you’ve only done one good thing in your life, you’ll take any opportunity to celebrate it.

We’re sure the members of Chumbawamba throw a huge party to mark the anniversary of the release of “Tubthumping” every year. Same idea.

Of course, Lindsay isn’t content to just look back on her past successes. She’s still delusionally planning her big comeback, and as she’s said in the past, her plans involve an Oscar and a Mean Girls sequel. Seriously.

So naturally, on Saturday, Lindsay posted about a dozen references to what’s really the only successful movie that she starred in as an adult, and she capped the day off with an Instagram post reading, “Next step: #MEANMOMS (I’m trying to make it happen!)”

Sadly, we don’t think Lindsay got her own Gretchen Wieners reference with the “trying to make it happen” part. Otherwise, she would realize that “Mean Moms” is like “fetch”:

It’s kinda lame, and no one cares about making it “happen” except for her.

Hopefully, Lindsay will get back to running around naked at weddings and dancing on yachts, and let go of this silly “being an actress that actually gets paid to be in movies” dream. It’s just sad at this point.
