Prince Louis Christening Pics: Radiant! Precious! Regal! HERE!

It is a special time to be a member of the Royal Family.

On July 9, Prince Louis was Christened in London, an occasion nearly as exciting and special as the wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle about two months prior.

Several days after this religious ceremony was performed, Kensington Palace has released FIVE official portraits from the Christening.

And they are truly magical.

Captured by photographer Matt Holyoak, the images were snapped in and around Clarence House.

You really need to scroll down and take a close look at them now:

1. At the Christening

Photographers were on hand to capture the Christening itself, too. Before getting to the official portraits, here are some snapshots from the ceremony.

2. A Family Event

What a royal family

Middleton was accompanied for the big day by her husband and two other kids, Charlotte and George. What cuties, right?

3. It’s Over!

Post christening

Here is this immediate Royal Family walking out of the Christening. What a blessed day for them, one captured for all of eternity by Holyoak.

4. The Royal Family

William and Kate and their kids were surrounded by both sides of their family in the official photo taken at Clarence House. William is seen here with his father, Prince Charles and wife Duchess Camilla, and his brother Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan. Kate’s mother and father, Carole and Michael Michael Middleton, stood alongside their children, Pippa and her husband, James Matthews, and James Middleton

5. With All 3 Kids

Princess Charlotte provided us with a cheeky grin in a portrait with her parents and brothers. If a picture says one thousand words, these words would all be synonyms for “precious.”

6. It’s Duchess Meghan Markle!

And others, too, of course. The picture was taken in the Morning Room at Clarence House, the London home of Prince Charles and his wife, Duchess Camilla.

Kate Middleton and Prince William Christen Louis, Light Up London

Kate Middleton has taken a break from trash-talking Meghan Markle to focus on what’s really important:

Family.

The Duchess of Cambridge arrived on Monday at the Chapel Royal in St. James’s Palace in London alongside Prince William and her three precious children in order to Christen the youngest of these children.

Indeed, it was quite a big day for 11-week old Louis, who was accompanied for this major occasion by his four-year old brother, George, and three-year old sister, Charlotte.

This was actually the first time all five members of this beloved immediate family were photographed in the same place.

Middleton, as we’ve come to expect at all times, looked elegant and gorgeous in a cream suit dress from Alexander McQueen (her wedding dress designer) and a matching headpiece from Jane Taylor.

Take a look at the ensemble here:

Louis was born on April 19 and, within hours, Middleton was all dressed and made up and debuting her child for the public.

Since then, the global icon was spotted at the annual Trooping the Colour even on June 9; and a day later, she and her two older kids were on the sidelines of Prince William’s polo match.

That’s been about it for Kate Middleton appearances since she became a mother for the third time.

We’re obviously not blaming her or judging her here. She has a newborn at home!

Following in the adorable footsteps of his siblings, Louis’ service was conducted this morning by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby, who christened George in October 2013 and Charlotte in July 2015…

… and most recently officiated Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding.

(That Royal World really is a small one, isn’t it?)

Charlotte, meanwhile, was Christened at Sandringham’s St. Mary Magdalene church in Norfolk, which is also where her late grandmother Princess Diana was Christened.

As for George?

His ceremony was held at St. James’s Palace‘s Chapel Royal.

For those wondering, Kate and William selected two hymns for this big event:

O Jesus, I Have Promised and Lord of All Hopefulness.

Moreover, Godparents Lucy Middleton and Guy Pelly each did a reading.

And, as if all this wasn’t exciting enough, Pippa Middleton was on hand for her nephew’s special day.

She attended alongside husband James Matthews, and with a baby in her womb.

How exciting, right?!?

We can’t make out a bump just yet, but Pipppa can be assured that the paparazzi will be looking closely for many weeks to come.

She can also turn to her sister any time she needs advice, especially considering what Kate recently said about parenting.

“Spending quality time together is such an important aspect of family life,” Middleton wrote in a letter for Children’s Hospice Week, adding:

“It is the simple family moments like playing outside together that I cherish.”

Amen. We totally agree!

Princess Charlotte Kisses Prince Louis and the Internet Collectively Melts

Simply put, photographs may not get any more adorable than this.

On Saturday afternoon, Prince William and Kate Middleton surprised their many millions of fans by sharing two new photos of their precious new bundle of joy.

In the first image, Prince Louis is being cradled and kissed by big sister Charlotte and the resulting image is nearly too cute to handle:

Right?!?!?!?!?!

Little Louis, of course, came into the world on April 23.

Following months of excitement and even speculation that Middleton was pregnant with twins, the Royal Couple announced on a Monday morning that Charlotte and Prince George now have a brother.

“Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101 hrs,” read the official Kensington Palace statement at the time.

It then added two key pieces of information:

“The baby weighs 8 lbs 7 oz. The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.”

Louis was born in Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital in London – where the couple’s other kids were also born – and is dressed in all white for his pair of new photos.

In the one below, Louis is on his own, giving social media users their first true and clear glimpse and his angelic face:

This second photo was reportedly snapped on April 26, when Louis was just three days old.

(And on which Charlotte turned three years old.)

In the past, William and Kate waited about a month before dropping similar professional pictures on the world of their children.

“Their Royal Highnesses would like to thank members of the public for all of the kind messages they have received following the birth of Prince Louis, and for Princess Charlotte’s third birthday,” Kensington Palace announced this week.

Back in early June of 2015, Kate and William unveiled this snapshot of George and Charlotte in a similar pose.

Seriously, do these two know how to make beautiful babies or what?!?

In a brief statement to the media shortly after his second son was born, William said Louis is sleeping about as strongly as one could expect and that his mother was doing pretty “well.”

We’re so very glad to hear it.

Along other Royal lines, we recently learned that Pippa Middleton is also pregnant; while Prince Harry will marry Meghan Markle on Saturday, May 19.

It is unlikely that we will see Prince Louis in public until his christening, however.

Kensington Palace has confirmed that the newborn royal will not be attending the royal wedding.”

Still: Wow, huh?

Talk about crazy and exciting times for all involved.

We wish the very, VERY best to Kate, William and their three kids.

“I don’t know how I’m going to cope with three. I’m going to be permanently tired,” William has said prior to Louis’ birth, echoing the sentiments of nearly every parent out there.

But if anyone can do it, we think he and Kate can pull this off.

And if they ever need babysitting help… hey, we’re just a phone call away!

Prince Louis Officially Exists! See His Birth Certificate!

He’s here, folks!

The Royal Baby is officially here!

What’s that now? You already knew that Kate Middleton gave birth to a gorgeous little boy back on April 23 and you even knew she named him Louis?

Or, to be exact, Prince Louis Arthur Charles?

Yes, you’re right.

Both these developments have already taken place.

However, Kensington Palace released the newborn’s birth certificate on Tuesday, making this child’s birth truly, completely, legally official and exciting.

The document (below) is chock full of basic nuggets regarding little Louis, such as where he was born; he gender; and the names of his parents.

One thing that jumps out to us, however, is the listed occupation of those parents.

As you can see here, William is dubbed “Prince of the United Kingdom,” while Middleton is referred to as “Princess of the United Kingdom.”

These aren’t titles with which we weren’t already familiar of course — it’s just funny to see someone’s job listed as “Prince” or “Princess.”

louis certificate

Unlike his siblings – Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 2 – Louis’ birth certificate is typed and not handwritten.

We don’t know why this is or if it means anything, but we figured we’d point it out.

We can confirm, however, that Prince William signed the document above at his Kensington Palace residence on Tuesday, May 1.

It was witnessed by Westminster City Council registrar Patricia Gordon.

“It has been a great honor to register and formally welcome the latest addition to the royal family, Prince Louis Arthur Charles,” Gordon said in a statement, adding:

“This follows a long history of Westminster City Council registering royal bites including Prince Louis’ siblings Prince George and Princess Charlotte.”

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s third child was born at the private maternity unit of St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington on Monday, April 23, at 11.01am.

He weighed in at 8lb., 7oz. and he was shown off to the world just seven hours later when Mom and Dad posed for photographers in London outside the hospital.

The royal family’s latest addition was probably named after Prince Philip’s late uncle Louis Mountbatten.

While we’ve heard a lot of speculation regarding the name Louis, we do know that Mountbatten was assassinated by members of the Provisional Irish Republican Army during a trip to Ireland in 1979.

Sad stuff.

Worthy of a tribute, we’d say.

Back on April 25, William told reporters that his new son was sleeping “reasonably well” and behaving himself.

He added that his beloved wife was also doing well (and also behaving herself, we assume, hehe).

Overall, parenthood suits Kate and William “really well,” a friend recently told People Magazine.

This friend added that the famous stars “are enjoying it and are very happy.”

That makes us really happy to hear!

Check out a slew of Prince Louis photos right here and now:

Prince Louis: What"s Behind William and Kate Middleton"s Baby Name?

Earlier this week, Prince William and Kate Middleton introduced their third child to the world.

But early on Friday, Prince William and Kate Middleton truly introduced their child to the world.

Because now that child has a name!

Indeed, the newborn pictured above is SO gosh darn cute!

But he’s also named Louis Arthur Charles, we can now confirm, courtesy of a Tweet today from Kensington Palace.

To be exact (and formal), he’ll be called “His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge.”

It’s better than True, Stormi or Chicago, right?

But from where did this name come? Why did William and Kate go with Louis as their son’s first name?

For starters, a multitude of British royal family members have used the moniker as a middle name, including William himself (whose full name is William Arthur Philip Louis), and also big brother Prince George (whose full name is George Alexander Louis).

Louis also happens to be the middle name of Queen Elizabeth II’s youngest child, Prince Edward (otherwise known as Edward Antony Richard Louis).

In all likelihood, this is who the name is meant to honor.

Philip’s grandfather was Prince Louis Alexander of Battenberg.

The name holds significant meaning to William’s own father, too, Prince Charles, whose great-uncle and mentor, Earl Louis Mountbatten, was actually killed by the IRA in 1979.

For what it’s also worth, notes CNN, Louis stems from the name Ludwig, which can be interpreted as “renowned warrior.”

That’s a pretty nice term/noun to be affiliated with, no?

“Louis is obviously a favorite name and an indirect nod to the Duke of Edinburgh and his side of the family,” Joe Little, managing editor of Majesty magazine, tells People, adding:

“I did think that Philip might have appeared in there somewhere.”

So did we. Alas.

As for Arthur and Charles?

Both names are shared by the baby’s grandfather, whose full name is Charles Philip Arthur George.

Here, once again, William shares Arthur as a middle name.

Moreover, Charles is a middle name of the child’s uncle Prince Harry, whose full name is Henry Charles Albert David.

There’s a lot to consider here, people. Many Royals across many generations come into play.

The important thing overall right now, of course, is that the baby is doing well.

Now that they are back home in Kensington Palace with their new baby boy, Prince William and Kate Middleton have started life as a family of five.

It’s all worked out so well for them.

“It completes them,” royal biographer Ingrid Seward tells People in this week’s cover story.

Elsewhere, a friend of the couple notes that Middleton “is one of three siblings, and it’s a good family size. Boy-girl-boy is pretty cool as well.”

We agree!

Congrats to everyone involved!

Louis C.K. Admits: “These Stories are True”

After years of rumors followed the comedian, five women have come forward and accused Louis C.K. of sexual harassment.

Now that these rumors have become outspoken allegations, and now that he’s getting slammed by comedians and fans alike, Louis C.K. is making a statement.

And he’s … admitting to it. To all of it.

Louis C.K.’s statement gets right to the point:

“I want to address the stories told to The New York Times by five women named Abby, Rebecca, Dana, Julia who felt able to name themselves and one who did not.”

Here it comes:

“These stories are true.”

We’ve all wondered what’s must have been going through his mind as he pulled out his penis in front of various women.

(We no longer have to write “allegedly” for him!)

Louis C.K. provides a little insight:

“At the time, I said to myself that what I did was O.K. because I never showed a woman my dick without asking first, which is also true.”

That … sounds like some bizarre mental gymnastics were going on in his mind to excuse his behavior.

The sort of excuse that only he himself could buy.

“But what I learned later in life, too late, is that when you have power over another person, asking them to look at your dick isn’t a question. It’s a predicament for them.”

Power can mean professional authority. It can mean celebrity status. It can even mean physical strength and size.

Remember, folks: the cashier or barista smiles at you because it’s literally part of her job, not because she wants to see your genitals.

“The power I had over these women is that they admired me. And I wielded that power irresponsibly. I have been remorseful of my actions. And I’ve tried to learn from them. And run from them. Now I’m aware of the extent of the impact of my actions.”

Louis C.K.’s statement continues:

“I learned yesterday the extent to which I left these women who admired me feeling badly about themselves and cautious around other men who would never have put them in that position.”

One of those women said that the experience discouraged her from pursuing her career in comedy.

“I also took advantage of the fact that I was widely admired in my and their community, which disabled them from sharing their story and brought hardship to them when they tried because people who look up to me didn’t want to hear it.”

That “widely admired” bit sounds a little like self-praise, which is not tonally appropriate … but maybe he’s just trying to make sure that people understand that he knows that it was wrong and why?

“I didn’t think that I was doing any of that because my position allowed me not to think about it.”

A lot of men never think about the damage that they do.

“There is nothing about this that I forgive myself for. And I have to reconcile it with who I am. Which is nothing compared to the task I left them with.”

That’s proper.

“I wish I had reacted to their admiration of me by being a good example to them as a man and given them some guidance as a comedian, including because I admired their work.”

“The hardest regret to live with is what you’ve done to hurt someone else.”

Well, maybe his hardest regret.

“And I can hardly wrap my head around the scope of hurt I brought on them.”

Louis C.K.’s actions are now impacting more than just himself and these women. Remember, HBO gave him the axe.

“I’d be remiss to exclude the hurt that I’ve brought on people who I work with and have worked with who’s professional and personal lives have been impacted by all of this, including projects currently in production: the cast and crew of Better Things, Baskets, The Cops, One Mississippi, and I Love You, Daddy.”

That’s a lot of people screwed over, professionally, because Louis C.K. couldn’t keep it in his pants (literally).

“I deeply regret that this has brought negative attention to my manager Dave Becky who only tried to mediate a situation that I caused.”

If you don’t want to negatively impact the people who consider it their job to clean up your messes, maybe don’t make messes.

(Some have pointed out that Louis C.K.’s wealth is in the 8 digits, and that he mgiht want to cut some checks to the people whom he’s left hanging)

“I’ve brought anguish and hardship to the people at FX who have given me so much The Orchard who took a chance on my movie. and every other entity that has bet on me through the years.”

We cannot imagine how his family is feeling right now.

“I’ve brought pain to my family, my friends, my children and their mother.”

Louis C.K. finishes off his statement with this:

“I have spent my long and lucky career talking and saying anything I want. I will now step back and take a long time to listen. Thank you for reading.”

It’s good that he’s admitting this, and a refreshing change from endless denials in Hollywood, but we’d like to point out a couple of things:

One: if there was a actual, explicit apology in this, we don’t think that we saw it. Maybe it’s implied, but that’s actually not how apologies work. You have to say them.

Two: some have pointed out that Louis C.K. could have spoken out years ago when Gawker (before the site was destroyed by a vengeful, Trump-supporting billionaire) first talked about these rumors. Or in the summer of 2016, when Roseanne Barr spoke about it.

It almost seems, to some, that Louis C.K. was less concerned about how his actions impacted these women … and was only moved to speak up because it’s now hurting his career.

That’s a cynical view, but … you can see why people feel that way.

Especially people who have their own #MeToo stories and will never trust the people responsible for them.
