Ree Drummond, Food Network Star, Dragged for Apparent Racism and Dumb Jokes
Ree Drummond is known as The Pioneer Woman.
That’s the name of her popular show on The Food Network.
But some viewers now think Drummond should be referred to instead as the Racist and Wildly Inappropriate Woman, based on a few remarks she’s recently made.
The long-time celebrity chef has stirred up controversy on multiple fronts of late, starting with a very strange blog post in which she said her individuality stemmed from the fact she had a “black grandpa.”
Except she didn’t.
There’s no record of any African-American relatives on Drummond’s family tree.
“In the same bizarre post, she went on to admit that he was actually white and [claimed] she thought he was African-American most of her life because of his tan,” wrote In Touch Weekly of Ree’s initial assessment and then strange admission.
Based on this logic, Drummond must also think George Hamilton is black.
The blog post in question has since been deleted.
But those who read it or heard about it were understandably ticked off that Drummond basically compared a tan white person to a black person.
Elsewhere, Drummond penned another blog post in which she allegedly referred to her developmentally disabled brother Mike as “retarded.”
We can’t verify for certain whether or not this word was actually used in conjunction with her sibling.
If so, however… YIKES!
Finally, there’s the matter of a quip we can definitely verify – because it took place during an episode of Drummond’s Food Network program.
While serving some hot wings to a bunch of friends, Drummond joked that they were not barbecue flavored, but actually “Asian” flavored instead.
The friends stood in confused silence over this description, prompting Ree to say she was just kidding around.
But it was a random joke that did not go over well with certain fans at all.
“I was already bummed by the lack of diversity on @foodnetwork Now @thepioneerwoman & co. are on there saying they don’t trust “asian” food??” Tweeted one irate user.
Drummond has been in the national picture for a long time.
She has appeared over the years on Good Morning America, The Today Show, The View, The Chew and The Bonnie Hunt Show.
She has also been featured in Ladies’ Home Journal, Woman’s Day, People and Southern Living.
Her first cookbook, The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Recipes from an Accidental Country Girl, was published in October 2009 and she has gone on to pen many more since then.
After taking on the host during an episode of Throwdown! With Bobby Flay in 2010, Drummond was given her own Food Network show a year later.

Drunk Teen Apologizes to GF on Every Network, App After Going Out
Like many guys across the world, Kieron Cameron was in the doghouse after going out partying instead of going home to his sick girlfriend.
Not everyone takes the Scotland teen"s apology game to this level, however.
Clearly, he felt bad about ditching Jodie Duncan, with whom he had promised a snuggly night in, in order to celebrate his friend"s birthday.
According to the Daily Mail, once he realized the error of his ways, he went ALL OUT to find out if she was angry … and rectify the situation.
Jodie, fortunately, saw the humor in this and quickly forgave him, but not before sharing his exploits (below) on Twitter, where they went viral.
Sure, he may have been humiliated, but give him an A for apologetic effort:

Jordan Rodgers Lands SEC Network Job: Did He USE JoJo Fletcher?
THG WARNING: This, like many other articles on the subject, contains The Bachelorette spoilers pertaining to who wins this season.
Since the onset of the ABC summer guilty pleasure, fans – buoyed by a deluge of tabloid speculation – have been wondering the following:
Is JoJo Fletcher’s frontrunner on The Bachelorette, Jordan Rodgers, just using the brunette beauty to shamelessly boost his career?
That may seem more or less like a regurgitation of the same question asked every year of some contestant to stir up drama:
Is he/she there on The Bachelor(ette) for the right reasons?!
Except, in Jordan Rogers’ specific, suspicious case:
1. He’s been put on BLAST by Brittany Farrar, his former girlfriend, for cheating on her prior to appearing on the hit show;
2. His own big brother possibly kind of hates him;
3. Everyone else in the house is calling him out;
4. He actually did get a job in broadcasting!
We’re nearly on the cusp of learning who JoJo Fletcher will pick with her final rose this season, and Jordan seems like a heavy favorite.
Despite, or perhaps because of this reason, many of the other guys have openly questioned Rodgers and his motives for doing the show.
It’s not just a small, vocal group of skeptics.
The general consensus among suitors, fans and, well, Olivia Munn and Aaron Rodgers is that the former NFL backup is sort of shady.
Rodgers insisting he is single has done little to dissuade haters who believe he joined the show to stay in the spotlight and be famous.
Having failed to gain traction in the NFL like superstar brother Aaron, he’s turned his attention to TV – sports broadcasting in particular.
Now, in a turn of events that supports this theory …
The SEC Network, which covers the NCAA powerhouse Southeastern Conference is owned by ESPN, announced it has hired Jordan.
The details of his new gig have not been disclosed, but the book on Rodgers is that he went on The Bachelorette for just this reason.
Or to be The Bachelor … unless he won this thing.
In any case, many eyeballs rolled at this news.
His former Bachelorette competitor and nemesis Chad Johnson took to Twitter to share exactly how he assesses the current situation.
Chad, who hilariously threatened to find Rodgers after the show, said, it looks like he “got exactly what he hoped to get” out of joining.
Pretty awesome what a troll that guy is.
Assuming that JoJo does bequeath her final rose upon Jordan Rodgers, is there any chance it lasts beyond the end of this calendar year?

Kocktails With Khloe: Canceled! Network Pulls the Plug On Khloe Kardashian Talk Show!
After less than three months on the air, Khloe Kardashian’s FYI talk show, Kocktails With Khloe, has been canceled.
TMZ reported moments ago that the show has technically been placed on “indefinite hold,” but insiders say the chances that we’ll ever see another iteration of Khloe’s gab-fest are slim to none.
Production will halt immediately following the filming of a “farewell episode” that’s scheduled to feature Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend.
Maybe if Khlo always had that caliber of guests she wouldn’t be getting the boot!
It’s not known exactly why the show was canceled so abruptly.
Ratings weren’t great from the start, but Kocktails was renewed for a second season back in February FYI execs seemed committed to giving the quirky series time to find an audience.
The decision to give it the ax may have had something to do with reports of Khloe acting like a demanding diva and fighting with producers on set.
Several insiders have claimed that Khloe wanted to take time off in order to focus on the fallout from Lamar Odom’s relapse last month, and since the show was already on the bubble, the network decided to just call it quits entirely.
Whatever the case, this is further evidence that talk shows are not the Kard clan’s strong suit. Right, Kris Jenner?

Kate Middleton: Confident And Regal At Fostering Network Event
Tonight, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge attended the Fostering Network’s Fostering Excellence Awards at BMA House in London.
Her Royal Highness wore Saloni’s “Martine Crinkle-Effect” dress ($ 789).
This is the first time we’ve seen the Indian label on Catherine, an apt choice given that she and the Duke of Cambridge will visit India next spring.
Catherine presented three young people with an award to recognize “how far determination, a good attitude, and proper support and stability can get you,” according to The Fostering Network’s chief executive, Kevin Williams.
All three recipients are or were foster children at one point in their lives.
“It is fantastic that we are all gathered this evening to celebrate fostering and the truly transformational care that is a lifeline to so many,” Catherine wrote in a statement ahead of the ceremony.
“The people we will hear about tonight are truly extraordinary and show how good foster care changes children and young people’s lives.”
Catherine did speak at the event, and she appears to be more comfortable on stage with each passing engagement.
“Kate made a few short remarks tonight before presenting awards to 3 teenagers,” Richard Palmer of the Daily Express tweeted. “She looked more confident than in previous public speaking.”
Earlier today, William and Catherine signed the book of condolence in memory of the Paris Attacks at the French Embassy in London.
Tonight, William will attend the England vs France soccer match at Wembley Arena in solidarity with France against the recent terrorism attacks.

NFL Network Interview Features All the Bare Butts

Following the Cincinnati Bengals’ 34-21 victory over the Buffalo Bills, NFL Network"s Albert Breer interviewed Cincinnati"s Adam "Pacman" Jones, asking questions about the team’s defensive strategy.
But few viewers really paid close attention to the words coming out of Jones" mouth… because they were focused on the body parts of Jones" teammates in the background.
Simply put, there were lots of bare buttocks on screen. Like, lots and lots and lots of bare buttocks.
The camera captured numerous Bengals either post-shower or pre-shower, strolling around in either a towel or even less than a towel.
And this X-rated snafu did not go unnoticed by the anchors after they came on air.
Check it out now as they try to comment with a straight face on the interview we just watched… but fall into fits of laughter instead.

Jessica Simpson Bombs Her Home Shopping Network Appearance As Viewers Think She"s "Drunk" — Watch Her Awkwardness HERE!

Jessica Simpson made an appearance on the Home Shopping Network yesterday in order to help promote her clothes and accessories. Unfortunately for her, she didn’t come off like the savvy businesswoman we’re sure she hoped she would.
The 35-year-old singer and actress was part of a two-hour sellathon with Colleen Lopez on the HSN which quickly turned into an EXTREMELY awkward two hours!

Jessica not only wouldn’t stop swaying, but she fumbled and slurred her words and did things like share weird stories about how her sister, Ashlee Simpson, shares her jeans with her husband Evan Ross (below).

Jessica Simpson: Wasted on the Home Shopping Network?
Look, if we were Jessica Simpson and we possessed a great singing voice and our career had plummeted to the point where we were stuck hawking clothing on the Home Shopping Network, we would drink a lot, too.
So there"s no judgment being offered up here.
We"re just remarking on what many television viewers remarked upon when seeing Simpson promoting some grey jeans on HSN this week: she appeared to be wasted.
In this clip, Simpson is swaying and giggling and sort of slurring her words when talking about the random topic of how gorgeous her sister looks in the color grey.
Perhaps Simpson should stick to discussing farts and Justin Bieber, but consider this:
She sold out nearly all of her merchandise during the appearance. So what the heck do we know?!?
