Selena Gomez Talks Rehab: Was She Suicidal?!
Selena Gomez has been out of rehab for just over two months now, and she’s been an absolute inspiration.
Well, she’s always been an absolute inspiration, but you know what we mean.
Ever since she left her treatment center, she’s been ever more open and honest about the issues she’s faced with her mental health, and how important it is for people to take care of and to love themselves.
And it’s been such a delight to see.
These days, Selena is focused on promoting a Netflix series she executive-produced called 13 Reasons Why, based on the novel of the same name. The show debuts next month.
The book, written by Jay Asher, is about a teenager who killed herself and left a series of tapes explaining why — the thirteen reasons she did it, it turns out, were thirteen people who’d hurt her in some way.
And in this new interview, Selena is explaining exactly why the subject matter hit home for her.
“Whether I like it or not,” she said, “a lot of people have watched me grow up, and I do feel like, I have these conversations with my fans.”
“I’ve never really wanted to be the kind of unapproachable person.”
And so, she continued, “Whether I like it or not, people have seen a lot of my mistakes and I had to use that as a good thing, because then they’re able to trust me.”
“I want to be a part of this,” she said, “because I think this is what they want, this is what they need.”
She thinks a series like this is especially what young people need these days because “We’re just so disconnected from people now. Teens just really want [that connection].”
“I can’t stand what they’re looking at and what they think is reality,” she went on, referencing social media. “There are 17-year-olds that look older than me and that freaks me out.”
Another reason Selena connected with the project what that, as she says, “I think that my own high school experience was amplified. I wouldn’t say it was worse, but it made it harder.”
She’s talking, of course, about the “high school experience” she had while working on the Disney show Wizards of Waverly Place.
“Whether it was just kids or growing up in the biggest high school in the world, which was the Disney Channel, it was also adults that had the audacity to kind of tell me how I should live my life,” she said.
“It was very confusing for me. I had no idea what I was going to be, what I’m still going to become.”
And finally, Selena had one more reason for believing in the show — her time in rehab.
“To be frank with you,” she explained, “I actually was going through a really difficult time when they started production.”
“I went away for 90 days, and I actually met a ton of kids in this place that were talking about issues that these characters are experiencing.”
We’re so glad that Selena is dedicating her time and talent to something that means so much to her.
And, to hear her tell it, it really means so very, very much.
“I was there for the last episode,” she recalled. “I was a mess just seeing it all come to life, because I’ve experienced just that for sure. It hits a very important part of me.”
Oh, what a gift this girl is.

Nathan Griffith: Suicidal, Surrendering Full Custody of Kaiser, Source Claims
It’s been a turbulent month in the life of Jenelle Evans’ ex-fiance Nathan Griffith.
Last week, Griffith was arrested for assault, after his girlfriend, Jessica Henry, told police that he had choked her during an argument.
Bizarrely, Griffith was also arrested for a DUI that same week in an unrelated incident.
Needless to say, all of this is starting to make the custody battle between Nathan and Jenelle look like an open-and-shut case.
But as he made clear in a recent interview, Nathan isn’t going down without a fight.
Griffith spoke to Real Mr. Housewife recently, and he made a case for why he believes Jenelle is an unfit mother.
“She wants to proclaim me being this horrible father and that she doesn’t trust me, yet she’s living with a convicted felon who just was sentenced to jail for 60 days,” Nathan said.
He went on to claim that he believes his son, Kaiser, is unsafe in Jenelle’s home, saying:
“All the marks and bruises and all the sicknesses and strange illnesses Kaiser has have never been with me, only with her. Like the hand foot mouth disease, the rashes, the blisters on his butt, the scraped up knees, the bump on his head – I can go on and on.”
Jenelle obviously wasn’t pleased with the article, and she made her feelings known on social media, writing to Nathan:
“You do know that you just violated the custody order once again by that article? Let’s keep adding more and more.”
Shortly thereafter, Real Mr. Housewife commented on Jenelle’s Instagram asking her to DM him.
A couple hours later, his interview with an unidentified “source” close to the situation appeared online:
This anonymous insider insisted that despite Griffith’s claim, Jenelle’s boyfriend, David Eason, is not a felon, “unlike Nathan that has 5 pending and 2 of those are felonies.”
Jenelle the source went on to make some shocking revelations about Nathan’s recent past:
“[He] talked about committing suicide to Jenelle’s mother, director, and even (Teen Mom 2) producer Larry, who everyone knows of,” says the insider.
At one point, Mr. Housewife writes:
“Nathan called Jenelle’s mom and her director, who were at dinner, and said that he wanted to end his life or was thinking about it.. Jenelle’s mom then called the Myrtle Beach police and had them go check on him.
“They went inside and no one was there, but they found a bunch of empty liquor bottles all over his house. This scares Jenelle as a mother.“
The insider also claimed that until recently Nathan planned to surrender his custody rights and move to England:
“Dude to be completely honest it might be best if you keep him. I’m so unstable and I’m actually crying writing this. I know you don’t care but this weekend is a bad weekend. I’m sorry,” Nathan allegedly texted David at one point.
He later added:
“Does Kaiser need me? Are you good? Treat him like you’re own ok. I think I’m moving to England.”
You know things aren’t going well for you’re trying to prove that you’re more stable than Jenelle Evans and you’re failing miserably.

Sinead O"Connor Reported Missing, Possibly Suicidal, Sources Claim
According to TMZ, singer Sinead O’Connor has been reported missing after going on a bike ride in Chicago Sunday morning and failing to return.
The site reports that O’Connor has been classified “missing suicidal” by Chicago police, who reportedly received a 911 call from a concerned friend of Sinead’s this morning.
O’Connor has a history of erratic behavior, and troublingly, she’s displayed suicidal tendencies in the past.
Just last year, O’Connor left a suicide note for her family to find, and was eventually hospitalized to be treated for a number of mental health issues.
While she was reportedly stable for several months after being released, O’Connor’s condition seems to have worsened recently.
Those closest to O’Connor say she’s been deeply disturbed ever since the death of Prince, her longtime friend and mentor.
Her mourning was apparently exacerbated by O’Connor’s bizarre public feud with Arsenio Hall, whom she claims provided drugs to the late pop star.
Currently, O’Connor is being sued by Hall, after she publicly blamed the comedian for Prince’s death.
There is no word on the specifics of O’Connor’s disappearance, but those closest to the 49-year-old are said to be deeply concerned.
A police bulletin reported that O’Connor was dressed in a black parka and black leather pants, and riding a motorized bike.
Insiders say the singer is not familiar with the suburb of Wilmette, where she was reportedly last seen.
While the neighborhood where she is believed to have disappeared is a relatively safe one, authorities and loved ones are reportedly concerned about O’Connor’s capacity for self harm.
The police bulletin indicates that anyone who sees O’Connor should contact the Chicago PD.

Chris Brown: I Was Suicidal After Beating Up Rihanna
Chris Brown is hoping to earn your money and your pity after he beat up Rihanna in 2009.
The controversial singer is at the center of a new documentary titled “Welcome to My Life,” offering up fans an extended sneak peek in which he talks openly about the time he punched his girlfriend many times in the face.
“I felt like a f-cking monster,” Brown says in the following trailer.
“I was thinking about suicide and everything else. I wasn’t sleeping, I wasn’t eating. I just was getting high.”
Poor Chris Brown, right?
Rihanna, of course, wasn"t sleeping either because her face was in so much pain after Brown pummeled it to a bloody pulp in the car.
Elsewhere in the preview, which bills the documentary as an underdog/redemption story, stars such as Usher, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Lopez, Mary J. Blige and Mike Tyson praise Brown as an artist.

Keeping Up with the Kardashians Recap: Khloe Gets Real, Scott Gets Suicidal
Momager of the Millennium Kris Jenner asked something of her brood on Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 11 Episode 9.
Something that, if you watch Keeping Up with the Kardashians online, may take you aback, given the seriousness of the topic at hand …
A major plot line of Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 11 Episode 9 was Kris wanting the kids to take a special genetic test.
One designed to determine their respective risks for cancer. Heavy.
Khloe Kardashian, most notably, had this response: “I don’t really care. Fact: I’m going to die. You’re going to die. We’re all going to die.”
YOLO, right? Why live in fear of a gene that may cause cancer?
She raises a valid point, but also showed compassion in agreeing to take the test anyway so she could make her grandma, MJ, happy.
Dr. Paul Nassif (obviously) administered the test and found that they are BRCA negative, or less likely to get breast and ovarian cancer.
Meanwhile, Scott Disick plummeted to a new low point – even by his standards – while Kourtney Kardashian was out of town with friends.
On the phone, he told Khloe, “I just can’t do this.”
“I’ll never f–king meet anybody more beautiful than her, and I love her,” Disick told Khloe through tears. “And she doesn’t love me.”
“My life is officially over. I just want it over.”
His frazzled state had Kim Kardashian – listening on speaker – urging Khloe to “call the police,” but luckily it did not escalate that far.
Kris Jenner was able to get family friend Chris Reda to check on him, and he’s alright. But we kid not when we call this a low point.
Given that this was filmed months ago, we have the benefit of knowing that The Lord has been finding redemption, slowly but surely.
By all accounts, Scott is still trying to win Kourtney back, and she’s not having it (romantically), but relations have improved drastically.
As long as he’s committed to being sober and being a good father, everything else will work itself out, as a single parent or a family.
Finally, supermodel Kendall Jenner lamented her fading connection with father Caitlyn Jenner and the “boyish” time they spent together.
“I definitely miss the connection that my dad and I used to have,” Kendall told the E! cameras. “He was kinda the reason I was a tomboy.”
Fortunately, Caitlyn understands and agrees.
“You know I just love hanging out with you, we have the best time together,” Caitlyn told Kendall during a really sweet heart to heart.
“If you’re ever upset with something that’s happening, maybe changes that have gone on, I want you to talk directly to me,” she said.

Leah Messer: Suicidal After Losing Custody of Twins?!
To say that Leah Messer has been having a hard time lately would be a massive understatement.
Last month, Leah lost custody of her twin daughters to her first husband, Corey Simms.
In the weeks since, fans have criticized Leah as an unfit mom and drug addict. She lamely blamed her unfit parenting on narcolepsy, but Twitter wasn’t buying it.
Now, Radar Online is reporting that Leah has become suicidal as a result of losing primary custody of her two youngest children.
“Leah seems deeply depressed, and everyone is very concerned,” says one insider. “She can’t imagine life without her girls.”
The source say Leah’s mother, Dawn Spears, is especially concerned and has been encouraging Leah to seek professional help.
“Dawn is asking friends for advice on how to help her,” says the source.
The insider says part of the problem is that even though she recently completed an inpatient rehab stint, Leah still refuses to acknowledge that she suffered from a prescription pill addiction.
Family and friends are worried that her denial and depression put her at an increased risk for a relapse.
“It’s obvious that she has struggled with pills, but she refuses to talk about it,” says the source. “If she won’t be honest, how is she ever going to truly get better?”
Her family reportedly feels that Leah’s addiction was the primary reason that she lost custody of 6-year-olds Ali and Aleeah, and unless she continues her treatment, they feel her daughters will never be returned to her on a full-time basis.
