Nicholas Brendon: Headed to Rehab Again!

Actor Nicholas Brendon has checked into rehab for the second time this year.

The former Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Criminal Minds star shared the news with fans on his Facebook page last night:

“Well my beautiful people I’m off to Florida for 90 days of treatment,” Brendon wrote.

“I love you all so much and I truly do appreciate all of your love and support. We’re going to beat this,” adding the hashtags, “#kickingdepressionintheballsack #loveyou #huglife.”

Last week, footage of Brendon attempting suicide surfaced online. It was reportedly the 44-year-old’s second such attempt this year.

Brendon has been arrested four times in the past 12 months. Sources say alcohol was involved in each incident.

Adding to Brendon’s difficulties over the past year was his short-lived marriage to Moonda Tee, which lasted just over five months.

Insiders say Brendon’s heavy drinking was the primary cause of the couple’s divorce.

Brendon still acts – having most recently appeared in a recurring role on the MTV series Faking It – but these days, his income derives mainly from his writing work for the Buffy the Vampire Slayer comic book, as well as his frequent appearances at fan fests.

Unfortunately, his erratic and often criminal behavior has made him persona non grata at many of the major conventions.

Here’s hoping Brendon is able to get the help he needs and return to the festival circuit.
