Prince Henry of Wales, Esq. has a nice ring to it, don’t you think?
He wasn’t a strong student at Eton, and he chose to enroll at Royal Military Academy Sandhurst rather than attend University, so this new report claiming that Prince Harry is headed to Yale Law School in New Haven, Connecticut is a bit…puzzling.
“Everyone was talking about it around the campus,” one alum told Page Six. “Big buzz!”
Veteran royal watcher Richard Mineards thinks it’s just a bunch of hullabaloo.
“I doubt it,” he told the paper. “Harry’s not the brightest bulb in the palace chandelier. His entry exam for Eton [boarding school] was delayed because he wasn’t considered up to taking it.
In 2005, Harry was accused of having a teacher write his exams in order to help him pass. Both the Prince and the school denied the accusation.
Harry retired from the Army last June, and has been focusing on charity work since then; In May, he’ll travel to Orlando, FL to oversee the Invictus Games, a paralympics-style sporting event he launched in 2015.
And while Harry served two tours of duty and qualified as an Apache helicopter pilot, that’s not to say he has what it takes to metriculate at the country’s #1 ranked law school.
“That’s not an academic degree,” a snide source told the paper of Harry’s armed forces resume. “That just means you can march neatly, follow orders and polish your boots.”
A bit disrespectful, but point taken.
