Tori Spelling wants everyone to know that, despite media reports, she is most definitely NOT broke.
The daughter of the late, filthy-rich media mogul Aaron Spelling has been the target of nasty rumors that she and her husband Dean McDermott are in debt and totes bankrupt.
"I just want that story to go away!" she told People during an interview.
"We"re doing a great new series, I"m really happy, we"re doing a new show on Cooking Channel – we"re not bankrupt, we"re not struggling, we"re fine!"
Rumors of Tori and Dean in the poor house reached their peak when the couple, in fact, moved to a poorer house earlier this year.
The couple downgraded from their posh abode in Calabasas to a much smaller rental in Encino, better known as the porn capital of the USA.
Spelling clears up the reason for the relocation.
"There is no real myth behind it," she said. "The owner wanted to sell the house, so we simply moved to a new house!"
The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum explained that with four young children in different grades, they are renting so they can test out the best area schools for the kids.
Spelling believes that the rumors of her money misfortunes began when she wrote a chapter about finances in her 2013 memoir, Spelling It Like It Is.
"I thought I was being relatable, talking about how celebrities go through financial struggles, too," she explained. "We"re not perfect, we have made a lot of choices financially with real estate that didn"t work out… and that just escalated into this story about financial struggles, bankruptcy."
"To this day that haunts me!" she lamented.
Got that, guys? Everything is just hunky dory for Tori.
