Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 12 Episode 8 Recap: The #RobChyna Fallout

The family’s reaction to Rob’s engagement was the focal point of Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 12 Episode 8 last night on E!

Suffice it to say, it didn’t go over well initially.

Picking up where last week left off, Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 12 Episode 8 found the famous family in Vail, Colorado.

Robert’s engagement, as Momager to the Reality Stars Kris Jenner put it, “just kind of came out of left field. I’m still kind of in shock.”

“I didn’t do anything to him except give him an amazing life,” she adds, hurting at the fact that she had to find this out on social media.

Khloe is pissed. Kim is … a little less pissed.

Tyga and Kim Kardashian, discussing the subject, believe the family should just lay back and let them be, at least for the time being.

When Tyga is the voice of reason, you know the situation is out of control; Kim is the one who has to make the first move, he observes.

Young Kylie Jenner, the one who would or could be most affected by this, says she just wants it – her family’s feud with Blac – to go away.

Easier said than done on that note, girl.

Kim insists she doesn’t really care about Rob’s life, but, unlike Kourtney, who genuinely seems uninterested, Kim does bring it up a lot.

As Kim reads a piece on celebrity gossip site TMZ observing that none of them have congratulated Rob, Khloe says that they shouldn’t.

After everyone bails on Kris’ dinner (to go bowling with Kanye, so totally worth it), and apologizes, Kris finally hears from Rob personally.

He wants her to call … when she’s alone.

The outsiders try to show a little empathy – not just Tyga, but Corey Gamble, who says “I don’t like the animosity” from Khloe and Kim.

Even ‘Ye chimes in with a little perspective, observing that in the past, “both Kim and I have been with people that our friends hated.”

Finally, Kim decides to reach out to Rob.

The other elephant in the room this week was Scott Disick, who made the trip to Vail on his best behavior, begging the obvious question:

Will he and Kourtney get back together?!

Kourt is happy with her decision to “let” Scott come on the trip, and he’s doing what it takes to make memories with his family members.

But while he’s not currently drinking around his partner, is he truly committed to turning his life around in a meaningful, lasting fashion?

Call us crazy, but we have our doubts.
