Phaedra Parks Breaks Silence, Reacts to The Real Housewives of Atlanta Firing

Phaedra Parks is ready to move on.

The reality star has no real say in the matter, of course, having been fired as a cast member on The Real Housewives of Atlanta this week.

The bombshell was dropped on fans of the franchise yesterday, following a fiery fourth installment of the show’s ninth season reunion special on Sunday evening.

During the taping, Parks confessed to telling Porsha Williams that Kandi Burruss and Burruss’ husband, Todd Tucker, had planned on drugging Williams and taking her back to their place for some sex.

Did she base this wild accusation on something Burruss and Tucker actually told her, as she previously claimed?

Did she pass it along to Williams based on first-hand information?

No, Parks finally admitted at the reunion.

“I repeated it because I heard it,” Parks explained. “Something was brought to me. I just repeated it. I repeated what someone told me. I’m not saying I didn’t say it. I’m saying I repeated it.”

That’s a pretty fine line.

And, even for a Real Housewives storyline, it’s also a pretty insane topic to broach.

As Kandi cried and insisted that Phaedra essentially accused her of rape, other cast members at the reunion sat in shock.

Kenya Moore couldn’t believe that Parks could make such a reveal and then remain stone-faced, while Porsha fought back tears and replied:

“Oh, Phaedra, that’s awful. Oh God, that’s so awful. I swear to God, Kandi, I would never ever say something like that to you if it wasn’t told to me in truth and confidence.”

Parks did end up muttering an apology on set, acknowledging that she “shouldn’t have repeated it.”

But Williams wasn’t having it.

“I feel betrayed … and completely taken advantage of,” she said, adding on stage:

“[Our friendship] was a lie and I was the pawn used to hurt Kandi. I don’t know if I’ll be able to move past this.”

In the end, producers weren’t able to move past the rape allegations; according to TMZ, they gave Parks her walking papers shortly after this explosive reunion special aired on Bravo.

You can use the video below to watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta online and see this utter craziness go down:

How is Parks feeling about the ordeal?

What does she have planned next?

We can’t say for certain, but the controversial star shared the following message on Instagram in the wake of this scandal.

“New day, new week! Have a magnificent #Monday! #letsgo,” Parks  wrote alongside the poster below, which read: “Don’t let yesterday take up too much of today.”

Parks tweet

In other words:

The past is the past and Parks is ready to see what the future has in store for her.

Toward the end of the reunion, host Andy Cohen put Parks in her place, telling her directly:

“You got caught in a megawatt lie. I don’t know that you’ve completely copped to it.”

She apologized again at this point, adding: “I’m sorry that it hurt Kandi as well.”

Speaking later to Us Weekly, Cohen expressed surprise that Parks was so calm about the incident. She didn’t express much remorse or emotion on stage.

“She seemed kind of withdrawn about it,” Cohen told the tabloid.

The Watch What Happens Live also said he’s “spoken a few times” with Parks since the reunion taping, but “I don’t get the sense that she has [talked to the other Housewives].”

This is not shocking.

As for whether she can repair her friendships, Cohen has his doubts.

“It seems a little precarious,” he says.

We agree.

Once you accuse a friend of planning to drug and rape another friend, there’s almost never any going back from that.

Love & Hip Hop Season 7 Episode 8 Recap: Firing Squad

Did Yandy’s secrets come out?

That was one of the main questions on Love & Hip Hop Season 7 Episode 8 as her feud with Erika reached new heights of craziness.

We kicked things off with Yandy finally dropping the bomb that she was not legally married to Mendecees.

“I never sent off the paperwork. We signed it but I never sent it off. The person that married us is my best friend and she doesn’t even know that I haven’t sent it off yet.”

That’s a crazy twist and it will probably come back to bite her when these women in Mendecees’ life get wind of it. If you watch Love & Hip Hop online, you will know fine well that Yandy has been having a tough time trying to keep a string of baby mamas at bay.

“I’ll be damned if I allow these baby mamma’s to come after my money because of some legal piece of paper.”

Her gal pals were shocked to hear the truth, but Yandy did not seem remorseful saying, “Thank God for friends and spiced lemonade.”

With that ourt of the way, we moved on to Mariahlynn chatting to Cardi B about what was going on with Bianca. Cardi was quick to point out that Mariahlynn looked like the one in the wrong.

She asked if the girls could just put their differences aside to allow them all to hang out again. Mariahlynn was against this, pointing out that that she has enough going on in her personal life to deal with Bianca.

We switched gears back to Yandy, who received a shocking phone call from Mendecees about the way she had been treating Erika.

“I spoke to Erika and she told me that she had to call the cops. She also told me that you called my son a break baby.” Yandy gets annoyed and says “Have I ever called her a break baby to you or the world?” Mendecees says “We know that, but we need to let the world know that.”

Yandy then felt the need to let him know that she never sent the marriage certificate off. Mendecees was taken aback and said that she should have no issue with sending it now.

Yandy says “As long as there is a commitment between me, you and God in front of our friends and family a piece of paper does not matter because I can rip it.”

Sweetie, that’s not how marriage works. Mendecees decided he had heard enough and concluded the phone call.

If you thought the drama between Snoop and J was over, then you were most certainly wrong. J stopped by Snoop’s work place and the pair prayed together.

J then asked if they could work together on Gorgeous Gangsta and Snoop accepted, but she said they were keeping it professional. We’ll see how long that lasts.

Erika met up with her lawyer to discuss what Yandy did to her, but the lawyer revealed that Yandy had no power because she was not a wife.

Erika took this news to Samantha and the pair gloated about how they could use it to their advantage. Yes, the producers clearly told that lawyer about the marriage certificate.

It would not be Love & Hip Hop without a fight to close the hour off. Cisco and Peter attempted to go at it because of what went down with Mariahlynn, but security pulled them apart.

What did you think of all the drama?

Sound off below!

Shemar Moore on Thomas Gibson Firing: Karma is Real!!

Criminal Minds alum Shemar Moore seemingly threw shade at Thomas Gibson after the latter got fired from the CBS show late last week.

In a since-deleted Instagram video, the 46-year-old actor likely alluded to the events that got Thomas Gibson fired, saying “karma is real.”

Said Moore, an original cast member who parted ways with the procedural crime drama after 11 seasons (it’s now heading into its 13th):

“Lot of birdies chirping out there. The gossip is real.”

“I hear it. I see it. I’m sure a lot of you do too. So I’ll just say this. I believe that good things happen to good people. Honest people.”

“Hardworking people. Humble people. People who believe in basic goodness,” he adds. “Treat people how you expect them to treat you.”

While Moore later deleted the video, nothing ever disappears from the Internet, and it was captured by a fan and reposted on Twitter.

He didn’t name names, but the timing made it clear:

Moore was calling out Gibson, who was suspended for kicking a writer on the show last week and subsequently issued the pink slip.

“Thomas Gibson has been dismissed from Criminal Minds,” ABC Studios and CBS Television Studios said in a statement last Friday.

“Creative details for how the character’s exit will be addressed in the show will be announced at a later date,” the confirmation said.

Sources say Gibson was directing an episode that was written by Virgil Williams (pictured above, with the actor) that led to the dispute.

He disagreed with Williams when it came to an unknown “creative choice,” which led to a few words being exchanged between them.

The incident culminated in Gibson kicking Williams in the shins and was seen by several producers, showrunner Erica Messer included.

Following the fight, Williams filed a formal complaint with human resources representatives for ABC Studios and CBS Television Studios.

Initially suspended for two weeks, the actor was fired.

According to reports, Gibson may sue with the aid of Skip Miller, a prominent litigator with experience in entertainment industry disputes.

Thomas Gibson May File Lawsuit Over Criminal Minds Firing

We may not have heard the last from Thomas Gibson.

On Friday, Gibson was fired from his lead role on Criminal Minds, putting an end to a job he had held since 2005.

CBS executives made this decision after Gibson kicked a producer on set a few weeks ago.

The veteran actor reportedly got into a dispute over the “creative” direction of the series with a writer named Virgil Williams, turning the argument physical after Williams got all up in his face.

Gibson was subsequently suspended for two weeks.

But that suspension turned into a firing just a couple days after news of the fight went viral.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Gibson has since hired a top Los Angeles law firm to pursue possible legal action against the show’s producers.

He has retained the services of Skip Miller, a prominent litigator with experience in entertainment industry disputes, who has confirmed that he’ll meet with Gibson this week in order to determine their next move.

A few more details, meanwhile, has emerged regarding the incident that got Gibson bounced from the drama.

Sources say Gibson was directing an episode that was written by Williams.

He disagreed with Williams when it came to an unknown “creative choice,” which led to a few words being exchanged between director and writer.

The incident, which culminated in Gibson kicking Williams in the shins, was witnessed by several Criminal Minds producers, including showrunner Erica Messer.

Following the fight, Williams (pictured below with Gibson) filed a formal complaint with human resources representatives for ABC Studios and CBS Television Studios.

Another director was brought in to complete filming on the episode in question, while Gibson was suspended for the next pair of episodes.

On Friday, upon announcing Gibson’s firing, CBS did not mince words.

There was no sugar coating nor was there any gratitude shown to Gibson for his 12 years on the show.

“Thomas Gibson has been dismissed from Criminal Minds,” CBS and the studios said Friday in a joint statement, adding:

“Creative details for how the character’s exit will be addressed in the show will be announced at a later date.”

In 2010, Gibson also shoved an assistant director.

It seems pretty clear at this point that he wasn’t the most popular person on set.

On Saturday, for example, former cast member Shemar Moore (who left Criminal Minds earlier this year after 11 seasons) released a video that implied Gibson’s firing was karma.

It has since been deleted, but Moore didn’t hold back in the footage.

“Lot of birdies chirping out there; the gossip is real. I hear it. I see it. I’m sure a lot of you do, too, so I’ll just say this: I believe in karma,” he said.

“Good things happen to good people. Honest people. Hard-working people. Humble people. People who believe in basic goodness. People who believe in themselves. People who believe in others. Good things will happen to you; it’s not always easy; but you gotta grind it out and you gotta believe in you.

“Treat people how you expect them to treat you. Celebrate yourself; celebrate your blessings — as you should. But just know that you’re not better than anybody. We all have our own gifts, so unwrap them bad boys and show ’em off.

“But then appreciate other people’s gifts. Church is over.”

As for Gibson?

This is what he said soon after his firing late last week:

“I love Criminal Minds and have put my heart and soul into it for the last 12 years. I had hoped to see it through to the end, but that won’t be possible now.

“I would just like to say thank you to the writers, producers, actors, our amazing crew, and, most importantly, the best fans that a show could ever hope to have.”

Thomas Gibson Speaks on Criminal Minds Firing

In the most stunning piece of TV news this month, Thomas Gibson is out of a job.

The veteran Criminal Minds star got suspended for two weeks after kicking a writer on the set of his hit show…

… and then, BOOM!

A day after this information went public, Thomas Gibson got fired.

CBS executives released a short, terse statement this afternoon in which they relieved Gibson of his duties as BAU Agent Aaron Hotcher, saying:

“Thomas Gibson has been dismissed from Criminal Minds.

“Creative details for how the character’s exit will be addressed in the show will be announced at a later date.”

Was it simply a matter of Gibson getting into the aforementioned dispute with a producer named Virgil Williams?

No, it doesn’t sound that way.

An earlier report alleged that Gibson also shoved an assistant director back in 2010 (the same year he was pulled over for drunk driving, FWIW) and was told to attend anger management classes as a result.

The actor appears to have a history of violence on the Criminal Minds set.

We can’t say for certain, but it’s therefore safe to assume that there may have been other incidents in between these two that have not yet been made public.

Due to this influx of inappropriate actions, CBS felt that it had no choice but to let Gibson go.

A couple hours after he was ousted from a job he held since 2005, Gibson released a statement to TV Line.

“I love Criminal Minds and have put my heart and soul into it for the last 12 years,” it reads.

“I had hoped to see it through to the end, but that won’t be possible now.

“I would just like to say thank you to the writers, producers, actors, our amazing crew, and, most importantly, the best fans that a show could ever hope to have.”

Gibson is the lead of the show. So fans will no doubt be wondering:

How is this going to work?!?

We have it on strong authority that Gibson will appear on the first two episodes of Criminal Minds Season 12.

His character will then be sent off on a special assignment, which coincides with Paget Brewset coming back to reprise the role of Emily Prentiss.

She will assist the BAU on a case, which is a stroke of good fortunate for the drama (this was all planned out before the Gibson situation even arose).

CBS obviously hopes that Brewster’s return will soften the blow of Gibson’s departure.

But there are still many questions that will need to be answered as Season 12 goes along.

Hotcher simply isn’t coming back, which will need to be explained, while viewers wonder if a new male lead will be brought in to take Gibson’s place.

Remember:

Shemar Moore departed the show as Derek Morgan just prior to Season 11 ending, so Criminal Minds has lost two key players in a matter of months.

How do you feel about this huge casting decision? You’ve gotta figure producers didn’t think they had a choice if they made it so quickly, right?

Will you tune in for the September 28 premiere? Think other Thomas Gibson stories will soon come out?

Should he be replaced as soon as possible? Can you think of another actor you want to take over at the BAU?

AHHH! We have so many questions!

Here’s a look at the sort of company Gibson has now joined:
