Leah Messer: Yes, I"m Still Hooking Up With Jeremy Calvert!

Way back in 2015, Teen Mom stars Leah Messer and Jeremy Calvert got divorced.

Fortunately, it seems that in the years since, they’ve been able to work out an amicable arrangement that works for both of them.

By which we mean, not only are they co-parents, they’ve also been friends with benefits for quite some time.

Or at least that’s what Leah allegedly said during her recent appearance on co-star Kailyn Lowry’s podcast.

The episode hasn’t been released to the public yet, but a source who was on hand for the taping has already spilled some details about Leah’s comments regarding her ex:

“She revealed she and Jeremy have been hooking up, and that it is not going to stop anytime soon,” the insider tells Radar Online.

When Kailyn expressed concern, Leah reportedly put her mind at ease:

“She says that they are just having fun and she’s got it all under control,” says the insider.

Rumors of Leah and Jeremy getting back together have been circulating for months, but this is the first time that either of them has publicly admitted to being more than friends.

Of course, from the sound of Leah’s comments, it doesn’t seem that she and Jeremy will be embarking on a relationship anytime soon.

They seem to be sticking with a “no strings attached” arrangement, which is fine as both of them are single these days.

In fact, as far as we know, Leah hasn’t been in a serious relationship in quite some time.

Jeremy, on the other hand, broke up with Brooke Wehr for the 47th time back in September and has been quite busy in the months since.

In November, he announced that he had broken up with a girlfriend that we weren’t even aware of!

(Pro tip: If you never went public with your relationship, you don’t have to publicly announce your breakup.)

So Leah and Jeremy are both free to mingle as they see fit.

Of course, Leah seems to get attached easily, and when there’s a kid involved, there’s always the potential that things could get very messy.

But hey, we guess Leah wouldn’t be entering her second decade as a reality star if she weren’t a magnet for drama.

Jeremy Vuolo: We Should Just IGNORE Suicidal People!

Just when you thought Jeremy Vuolo was one of the more intelligent Duggar in-laws…

Jinger Duggar’s husband is a pro soccer player-turned preacher; he’s butted heads with Jim Bob, and he’s rebuffed some of his in-law’s more ridiculous rules.

But as we were reminded this week, Jeremy is capable of being every bit as ignorant as his controversial father-in-law:

Jeremy recently tweeted about a story in which a man tried to coerce a woman into marrying her by threatening suicide:

“Alan Redpath tells the story of a young woman who came to her pastor desperate and despondent. She said, ‘There is a man who says he loves me so much he will kill himself if I don’t marry him. What should I do?’” Vuolo wrote.

“‘Do nothing,’ he replied. ‘That man doesn’t love you; he loves himself. Such a threat isn’t love; it is pure selfishness.’”

Here’s the thing – obviously, this woman shouldn’t marry this mentally ill man just because she’s afraid he might harm himself.

But she also shouldn’t “do nothing,” as her pastor advises.

She should offer help.

She should speak with him, contact authorities, his family, whoever she needs to because it could mean saving a life, which seems like a mighty Christian thing to do.

Not surprisingly, fans were almost universally critical of Jeremy’s advice.

“Get what you’re saying but I think you need to be careful when you talk about ignoring suicidal people,” tweeted one fan.

“More like mental illness…in need of professional help. God calls people to be psychiatrists to help people just as much as he calls people to be ministers,” wrote another.

Jinger and Jeremy are expecting their first child these days, and many are hoping that as parents, they’ll leave some of her family’s more outdated traditions in the past.

Jinger is the most rebellious of her siblings, having already broken with some of her family’s more arcane rules, such as the requirement that women wear dresses of long skirts at all times.

Unfortunately, all of that means very little if she and Jeremy aren’t willing to take a more modern approach to such issues as child development and mental health.

Here’s hoping Vuolo will eventually come around to the idea that not everyone who experiences a suicidel impulse is just a manipulatvie jerk.

Jeremy Vuolo Talks Jinger Duggar Pregnancy, Trolls Jim Bob

It’s been almost a month since we first learned that Jinger Duggar is expecting her first child, and the beloved 24-year-old is clearly enjoying sharing her excitement with fans.

While her sister Joy-Anna continues to keep a low-profile, Jinger has already shared her due date and posted a pic in which her long-awaited baby bump can clearly be seen.

Not surprisingly, it seems Jeremy Vuolo is every bit as psyched as his wife is about the idea of starting a family.

Vuolo sat down for a rare interview over the weekend, and he candidly shared his thoughts about becoming a father.

“Well, I have a family on the way here,” Jeremy said.

“My wife is pregnant and due in July with our first. But I think it begins with establishing that relationship with your wife and I think just walking through the word together.”

Jeremy went on to hold court about his religious beliefs in a way that’s very much in keeping with the Duggar brand:

“If you’re abiding in Christ and walking with Christ daily, I think it can look like sharing that and opening the lines of communication about your own walk with Christ,” he told the hosts.

“Where are you wrestling right now? How is scripture helping you? Just opening that communication and fellow shipping with your spouse and that’s gonna translate to your children.”

He concluded by sharing some thoughts on what he sees as the relationship between his religious beliefs and his duties as a husband and father:

“If you’re not spending the time in the work yourself, if you’re not disciplining yourself to walk with Christ in your devotional time,” he said.

“Then how do you expect to really pour into [your] family?”

Now, that may all seem perfectly innocent and perfectly in line with the Duggars’ message but there’s reason to believe that Jim Bob was less than thrilled about Jeremy’s latest interview.

You see, the podcast that Vuolo appeared on is called Calvinist Batman & Friends.

That may seem like an innocently dorky title, but it might have been enough to have JB buttoning up his angriest flannel and preparing for a very soft-spoken confrontation.

Much to his father-in-law’s chagrin, Jeremy is a Calvinist.

Jim Bob is decidedly not, and actually finds the belief system to be heretical.

Not surprisingly, this clash of beliefs has led to growing tension between Jim Bob and Jeremy.

But don’t worry, we’re sure it’ll all be resolved when the baby is born and Jeremy and Jinger raise it in such a way as to condemn its mortal soul to the fires of hell in Jim Bob’s eyes.

Jeremy Roloff Posts Sweet Tribute to Audrey Roloff, 8 Years After They Met!

Audrey Roloff and Jeremy Roloff are perhaps the most visible couple on Little People, Big World

That’s not just because they both have the best hair in the family. It helps that they’re both very active on social media, giving fans glimpses into their lives and thoughts — even when their show is on hiatus.

Jeremy posted a beautiful tribute to his wife on a very special anniversary. And he included some great throwback photos of the two of them.

Jeremy and Audrey have brought so much sweetness into each other’s lives, the lives of the Roloff family, and onto the screens of fans and viewers.

All of that visibility has its drawbacks, unfortunately.

That means that fans can grow hostile when Audrey Roloff appears talks about her faith in order to sell something.

(She’s a businesswoman and Christianity is part of her brand)

It also means that Jeremy Roloff gets parent-shamed for tickling Ember Jean.

(The concern comes from a good place, about children setting boundaries, but Ember Jean is a baby and Jeremy’s interactions with her are healthy)

But we’re glad that Auj and Jer wade through that hefty criticism, because it means that they can share precious posts.

Jeremy posted a series of throwbacks of himself with Audrey, writing:

“I met my wife eight years ago today on a blind date.”

That’s so sweet! A lot of people dread blind dates, but sometimes, you meet the love of your life.

“It’s been a wild and unexpected eight years.”

It sure has! They’re now married parents as well as reality stars.

(For the record, in case you remember Audrey and Jeremy’s seven-year-old “anniversary” pic, it sounds like they didn’t start dating right away after their blind date. They’re just marking eight years since they met)

Jeremy continues his sweet tribute (among the photos in which he and Audrey look dramatically younger) by musing upon the ways in which we both do and do not decide our own destinies.

“We never get to choose where we end up, our daily choices choose for us.”

We believe that what he’s saying here is that you don’t end up with someone by deciding that you’ll love them for the rest of our life, but by choosing to spend time with them as you know each other.

That’s harder, but ultimately that’s how life works: one day at a time.

“When we are old and grey I imagine the greatest thing will be looking back at the love story we have written.”

That’s so sweet! And, of course, they’re already looking back on their love story.

Jeremy uses a quote to speak about the next period in his and Audrey’s lives.

“For the next half: ‘if it’s half as good as the half we’ve know, then here’s hail! to the rest of the road.’ A Severe Mercy.”

Very poetic and very sweet.

And then he finishes his tribute:

“Cheers babe! (P.S. I love this photo of you)”

It’s not clear which photo he means, because he shared so many and they’re all great.

And look how far they’ve come.

Their daughter, Ember Jean, is precious beyond words. We imagine that we’ll get to see so much more of that little one and her parents on the new season of Little People, Big World which is apparently coming out in a few months.

It’s possible that Auj hasn’t always gotten along well with her entire family, but whatever conflict there was between Audrey and Jacob Roloff seems to be resolved.

If it was ever there to begin with.

We all look forwarding to seeing Audrey and Jeremy’s next 8 years of knowing each other.

Jeremy Roloff Comes Under Fire for... Tickling Ember Jean?!?

The Internet can be a very strange place.

Also, a very cruel and misguided place.

And Jacob Roloff is finding this out the hard way.

Earlier this week, Audrey Roloff shared a seemingly harmless video on her Facebook page.

Not just harmless, but very sweet and cute and precious.

The footage features husband Jeremy Roloff playing with the couple’s daughter, Ember Jean, an adorable young lady who was born in September to the Little People, Big World stars.

Jeremy is tickling her, Ember is laughing and it’s enough to make any Internet user smile for days on end…

… or get really, really upset, apparently.

Here’s the video in question:

“These two are my favorite,” Audrey wrote as a caption.

And who can blame her?

A lot of people, sadly.

In response to this video, some Facebook followers have come out with a harsh assessment of Jeremy’s actions.

“NOT a good idea to tickle a child,” someone named Barbara Koppelman Smith says, for example, explaining why as follows:

“It renders them absolutely HELPLESS with a natural uncontrollable response of laughter. There are much better and more healthy ways to make a baby laugh!”

Adds Jo’Lene Tover:

“I remember being tickled as a child and I remember that I hated it. This family is awesome but the point being made is to do research on the effects of tickling.

“I could not catch my breath enough to say stop and if I could the tickler would not stop. It was torturous.

“Sometimes I would actually get tears in my eyes and thought I was going to die from being tickled.”

fb critiques

Research on the effects of tickling.

Can’t say we’ve ever heard that one before.

Back in 1997, The New York Times published an article that quoted Dr. Richard Alexander of the University of Michigan.

He did remark that too much tickling is not healthy for a young child.

“A child can be transformed from laughter into tears by going the tiniest bit too far with tickling, raising the question of whether tickling is an expression of dominance,” Alexander explained at the time.

“There are lots of people who do abusive tickling, causing great mental pain, and that raises a big question about laughter.”

Well, okay then.

Sort of.

We have multiple responses to this report and to the backlash surrounding Jeremy.

FIRST, it does not sound like tickling is the problem. It sounds like excessive tickling is the problem.

SECOND, we’re pretty sure Jeremy would notice if his daughter started crying and would instantly stop.

THIRD, seriously people, give these people a break.

Give all parents a break.

Audrey has already admitted to carrying around a lot of mom guilt. Can she please just share a cute example of her husband and baby having fun without hearing it from the Mommy Shaming Police?

Does anyone out there doubt Jeremy loves his kid?

Does anyone doubt Ember is being raised in a happy and healthy environment?

Can’t that be enough for now, without so-called parenting experts feeling the need to chime in on absolutely everything?

Haven’t you given Audrey enough flak for random, dumb reasons?

Let the TLC star live! Let her husband play with his child! Everything will be okay, we promise!

Little People, Big World will return with new episodes on TLC this spring.

Many of them will be dedicated to this couple’s journey to parenthood and their life as the mother and father of Ember Jean.

We vow not to judge as we watch.

Jeremy Calvert Triggers Gun Debate with Controversial Christmas Gift

Jeremy Calvert did not give his four-year old daughter a Queen Else doll for Christmas.

He did not get little Adalynn a play kitchen or a few board games, either.

Nope.

Instead, the Teen Mom 2 star presented the toddler with an actual rifle, the sort of weapon that one points at things and then pulls the trigger to shoot real bullets at those things.

Was this wildly inappropriate? Or actually very responsible?

See the weapon in question and join the debate below…

1. Jeremy is No Longer with Leah Messer

Jeremy is no longer with leah messer

We don’t believe so, at least, despite a few rumors to the contrary. Still, to his credit, the reality star remains pretty close to his daughter.

2. What Do You Get a Girl Who Has Everything?

Jeremy calverts daughter

Well, we’re not sure if Addie does have everything. But we do know she now owns a gun, courtesy of her dad this Christmas.

3. And She Loves It!

With a gun

Addie is clearly happy about the gift, but does that mean it was an appropriate gift? It’s the job of a parent to decide what his child ought to own, right, not to just base everything on what might make her happy?

4. Wrote Jeremy as a Caption:

Jeremy calvert on instagram

“My baby dolls 1st 22 cal crickett…… and yes @leahdawn92mtv is aware of this….. @nationalrifleassociation @nratv @nrawomen gun safety 100% #daddiescountrygirl #muddygirlcamo #22crickett #adalynnfaith.” So… Leah approved of the gift and Jeremy thinks he’s being responsible by teaching his toddler gun safety at an early age.

5. I Have More to Say!

Jeremy calvert on teen mom 2

Added Jeremy in a second Instagram caption: “And here is the other one…… all pinkkkk @nationalrifleassociation @nratv @nrawomen @nrafamily #countrygirl #adalynnfaith #daddiescountrygirl @leahdawn92mtv.”

6. What Do You Think, Twitter?

What do you think twitter

Not surprisingly, plenty of users were/are aghast over Jeremy thinking this gift was remotely a good idea.

Jeremy Roloff and Audrey Roloff: See Their Christmas Card!

Audrey and Jeremy Roloff just gave us another reason to be grateful for this holiday season.

The beloved Little People, Big World stars have been filling their Instagram accounts with cute family photos over the past few weeks, most them Christmas-themed.

For instance…

Cute, right?

Prepare yourselves, however.

Because it’s about to get A LOT cuter.

On Wednesday night, Audrey jumped on her favorite social media account once again, this time to take followers behind the scenes of her family Christmas card shoot.

Along with the following photo, Audrey wrote as a caption:

“This week we started moving everything from our garage back into our house just in time to enjoy some snuggling under our tree and snap a Christmas card photo of the three of us and pine the kitty in our new home.”

She added:

“I love Christmas cards Every December our fridge is full of them, photos of the families I love so much, reminding me to lift each of them up in prayer.

“Wanna swap cards with us?! See how over on @beating50 Can’t wait to share rest of the these photos with y’all.”

Audrey and Jeremy recently took their daughter Christmas tree shopping, while Audrey shared an update on their precious three-month bundle of joy.

Yes, Ember Jean is now three months old. How crazy is that?!?

It seems like just yesterday she was born.

Finally, Audrey treated her fans this week to something unique, funny and special.

The TLC personality shared an image of her and Jeremy acting all goofy; which, by her own account, doesn’t happen very often.

“I wouldn’t consider Jeremy and I to be silly,” Audrey wrote, adding in detail:

“We’re far more inclined to spend the evening in a serious debate, working on new ideas for our ministries, or casting vision for our future.

“Sometimes I think we need to schedule “play dates” instead of “date nights.”

Why is this? Explains Audrey:

“Our date nights often become work brainstorming sessions. If any of you married couples out there run businesses or ministries together, I’m sure you can relate.

“We try to set boundaries on date night – no bringing up big looming decisions, finances, work, you know… the stuff grows the gray hairs. But we fail.”

Always open and candid about her relationship, Audrey continued in her caption:

Sometimes I think we need to just lighten up.

Read a novel instead of the news and self-help… Watch a comedy instead of apologetics, mysteries, and documentaries….

Give each other our undivided attention, instead of constantly multitasking… Maybe we just need to stop idolizing productivity and give ourselves permission to play. Maybe you need permission to play too? Who cares if it’s cheesy!

Dress up in matching PJ’s, have a tickle fight, or suspend yourself in the air balancing on your husbands feet;) Let’s not undermine the value of playfulness.

Also an especially profound individual, Audrey recently wondered about the meaning of love.

In this case, she concluded:

And yes, my postpartum abs thanked me for this picture;)

LOL.
