Evan Rachel Wood: I"ve Been Raped... Twice

Evan Rachel Wood has opened up about a pair of sexual assaults.

In an email exchange with a reporter from Rolling Stone, the veteran actress talked briefly about both incidents and also explained why she has chosen to make them public.

Scroll down to learn about what happened and why Wood is speaking about it now…

“I’ve been raped,” the 29-year old Westworld star wrote. “By a significant other while we were together. And on a separate occasion, by the owner of a bar.”

And this is the basis for Wood making these horrible incidents known to the world;

“I don’t believe we live in a time where people can stay silent any longer. Not given the state our world is in with its blatant bigotry and sexism.”

Without naming the President-Elect and without getting into the specifics of the 2016 Presidential campaign, Wood is clearly making a reference here to Donald Trump and his rhetoric.

Along with the rhetoric of many of his supporters.

Wood has described herself as gender-fluid in the past; she came out as bisexual in 2011.

However, the actress tells Rolling Stone that she realized she was attracted to women around a very young age, four or five.

“It was always talked about like a phase or something stupid, or something you were doing for attention,” she explains to the publication, adding:

“You know, bisexuality is worthy of eye rolls. And I didn’t realize how damaging that was until I tried to have healthy relationships as an adult and realized that there was still all this shame and conditioning and stigma around my sexuality that was really affecting the way I related to people.

“I think I was taken advantage of because someone knew there was something about me that they could exploit.”

But Wood gave birth to a son with ex-husband Jamie Bell in 2013 and she says it changed her outlook on life.

Becoming a mother helped her learn how to celebrate her sexuality.

“I had my son, and that changed everything,” she says of her only child, whose name she has never revealed. “It got me out of my own s–t. I just couldn’t be what I was not.”

That’s admirable, don’t you think?

Teaching one’s son or daughter to be true to who he or she is has to be one of the most important lessons any parent can pass along.

Then there’s Westworld, the crazy and confusing and dramatic series on HBO that is set to soon wrap up a popular first season.

How has her role on this series also altered her viewpoint?

“I mean, your demons never fully leave,” Wood says.

“But when you’re using them to create something else, it almost gives them a purpose and feels like none of it was in vain. I think that’s how I make peace with it.

“Westworld? Good God. I left so much in that first season and never looked back.”

We salute Wood for speaking out on such an important topic and we wish her the best of luck moving forward.

Rose McGowan: I Was Raped by a Hollywood Executive

With the issue of sexual assault unfortunately making headlines on a near-daily basis, due to the candidacy of Donald Trump, Rose McGowan has come out with a series of shocking Tweets.

In these messages, the actress says she was once raped by a major Hollywood executive.

In a series of strongly worded posts on Thursday, McGowan called out the film industry for failing to support her after she was sexually assaulted by an unnamed studio head.

Using hashtag #WhyWomenDontReport, McGowan wrote the following:

“A (female) criminal attorney said because I’d done a sex scene in a film I would never win against the studio head.”

McGowan went on to say that this shouldn’t come as news to many big-time players in the movie world.

“Because it’s been an open secret in Hollywood/media & they shamed me while adulating my rapist.”

She added: “Because my ex sold our movie to my rapist for distribution.”

Clearly (and rightfully, assuming her story is true) irritated, McGowan concluded:

“It is time for some goddamned honesty in this world.”

This subject is being raised around the country right now because Donald Trump has been accused of sexual abuse and/or sexual assault by many women.

On the campaign trail, one of the ways in which the Republican nominees has tried to shoot down these allegations is by wondering what took the accusers so long to come out.

We’ll leave it up to voters decide if they believe Trump is a decent person who would never grope a woman against her will.

But it is ignorant and dangerous to suggest that a woman who waits weeks, months or even years to make an accusation is therefore lying.

Go ahead and ask McGowan. Go ahead and ask many, many other females.

There are endless challenges and obstacles (to one’s career, to one’s profession) for women who make these kinds of allegations against rich and powerful men.

Rose McGowan Tweets

Those who are in the process of doing so against Trump are finding this out for themselves at the moment.

McGowan, meanwhile, has often been outspoken on issues of sexual assault.

She recently compared her experience walking the red carpet at Hollywood events as “visual rape.”

Is that an extreme way to look at it? Maybe. But what do we know?

Unlike McGowan, we’ve never walked a red carpet.

And also unlike McGowan, we’ve never been the victim of sexual assault. We’re not about to judge anything she says or does in regard to this topic.

Are you?

Farrah Abraham: "An Uber Driver Almost Raped Me!"

Farrah Abraham has made a shocking revelation: an Uber driver tried to rape her.

The allegations came during an episode of her new podcast “Farrah and Friends” during a conversation with YouTube personality Shane Dawson.

The announcement seemed unplanned, as she mentioned it only as Dawson started to bring up an unrelated story about the car service.

“An Uber driver almost raped me, so I don’t know about Uber,” interrupted Farrah. “I’m banned from Uber.”

Farrah’s on-again, off-again boyfriend Simon Saran apparently came to her rescue during the 2 a.m. altercation, which took place in Long Island in January 2015.

“My non-boyfriend threw him in the window and almost broke his car window,” she said, describing the incident.

“The cops were called and I threw the cell phone and I was like ‘I don’t have a cell phone, I don’t have a cell phone! And I was like ‘I’ve had enough of this.’

“The Persian dude ran after me. The cops were like, ‘You’re harassing her’ and I was like, ‘See I told you!’ and then I went to bed.”

The story sounds horrific and scary, albeit disjointed. It seems as though there are some missing pieces that were untold.

Oddly, Dawson was laughing during the whole retelling of the account.

Page Six reports that Uber officials are telling a different story, saying “their investigation showed that Abraham and Saran were the assessors in the incident.”

The company said the driver complained to them and as a result, Farrah was banned from using the service.

Uber also said Farrah did not report the attack to them.

“We have no record of Ms. Abraham ever reporting any incident like this,” said an Uber spokesman. “Her rider account was banned because an Uber driver-partner reported that a friend traveling with Ms. Abraham dumped their alcoholic drink on the front seat of the partner’s car.”

Nassau County Police claim to have no record of a report on the incident.

Farrah’s accusations come on the heels of the Teen Mom OG reunion, during which she broke down while discussing her childhood abuse.

She had previously claimed her parents assaulted her when she was young.

We hope Farrah comes forward and elaborates on these new allegations. Sexual assault is a serious issue and should be addressed appropriately.

Leonardo DiCaprio: NOT Raped By a Bear in The Revenant!

If you’ve seen the trailer for The Revenant, then you know much of the plot revolves around the after-effects of Leonardo DiCaprio’s ugly encounter with a very large, very angry grizzly.

While the film’s been the subject of Oscar buzz for several months now, the first screenings for critics and industry insiders were just held this week, and they’ve resulted in one very odd, very ridiculous rumor.

“An explicit moment from Oscar-winning director Alejandro Inarritu has caused maximum controversy in early screenings,”  claims the (n)ever-reliable Drudge Report. “Some in the audience escaped to the exits when the Wolf of Wall Street met the Grizzly of Yellowstone.

“The story of rural survivalism and revenge reaches new violent levels for a mainstream film. The bear flips Leo over and thrusts and thrusts during the explicit mauling. He is raped – twice!”

Several mainstream sites picked up the story and now, movie-goers are genuinely concerned about being forced to watch Leo get sexually assaulted by a grizzly.

The rumor has gotten so much attention that a campaign manager for Jeb Bush posted a tweet asking if anyone knew of actual historical examples of bear rape. Seriously.

The speculation has reached such a fever pitch that a spokesman for Fox actually issued a statement clarifying that Leo does not become a victim of inter-species sodomy in the film:

“As anyone who has seen the movie can attest, the bear in the film is a female who attacks [DiCaprio’s character] Hugh Glass because she feels he might be threatening her cubs. There is clearly no rape scene with a bear.”

So there you have it. Leonardo DiCaprio did not get raped by a bear in order to improve his chances of winning an Oscar.

It would’ve been far too risky. If just one critic to took the scene as a commentary on the recent Harvey Weinstein allegations, Leo’s career would be sunk.
