Kathryn Dennis Responds to Thomas Ravenel Rape Allegations

Southern Charm star Thomas Ravenel is accused of sexually assaulting two different women, including his former nanny, who shared the details of her harrowing story.

Now, his ex and another costar are speaking up — but fans aren’t happy with what they have to say. They don’t like Bravo’s response, either.

And as more and more viewers discuss the possibility of a boycott, another woman has come forward about a scary encounter.

Kathryn Dennis spoke to Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live, and she had very little to say about her ex-boyfriend who is also the father of her two young children.

“Well, I’m waiting until the investigation is complete before I comment on anything, and right now my kids are my focus.”

Kathryn does share two children with her ex, so fans can understand that this is a touchy subject.

Craig Conover was also less than eager to weigh in.

“Yeah, all I know is what I see in the media so it really wouldn’t be right for me to say anything at this point. I’m aware – everyone else is.”

Most of the interview that the two had was about much lighter topics.

As it turns out, there’s a reason for that.

Kathryn Dennis on WWHL

According to Will Folks of Fitnews, there’s a reason that these two don’t seem to have much to say.

“We’re told hefty fines and possible termination have been threatened against any Southern Charmers who talk out of school about the case.”

It looks like they’re avoiding talking in more situations than just talk show interviews with the head of their network.

“Meanwhile, law enforcement sources familiar with Bravo’s response to the scandal have described encountering ‘resistance’ from cast members as they attempt to get to the bottom of the allegations.”

That, folks, is alarming.

Whatever anyone thinks about Ravenel’s innocense or guilt, Charleston police are investigating the man for multiple accusations of rape.

Directions from a network do not outweigh a criminal investigation.

We certainly hope that no one has been instructed to obstruct justice, and that no one has interpreted an internal gag order as an instruction to obstruct justice.

In the mean time, there are reports that advertisers are very quietly pulling their support for Southern Charm.

As the Ravenel case heats up, it’s likely that they want to avoid being named in boycotts. Media purchasers have shared on social media that they’ve had clients who are backing out of the show.

At the same time, fans of Southern Charm and other shows have been slamming Ravenel — and slamming Bravo for what they see as an effort to avoid the subject and possibly protect an accused predator.

“Every single week on #SouthernCharm, Thomas Ravenel says something deeply misogynistic. It’s clear that he has no real respect for women.”

Fans are not having a difficult time reconciling Ravenel’s public image with the accusations against him.

“I’m a die hard @Bravotv fan, but @Andy & Bravo’s silence on Thomas Ravenel’s sexual assault charges speaks volumes #boycottsoutherncharm”

The word “boycott” is coming up a lot.

“Thomas Ravenel is under investigation for sexual assault. Sadly, I’m not surprised. He’s a disgusting man.”

And fans point out on social media that other networks are (slowly but surely) getting with the program and kicking accused monsters to the curb.

“Networks, Cable, Netflix, Amazon, Movies all fire or suspend the accused. Except #Bravo. #Bravo remains silent and, it appears, in support of the accused.”

Luzanne Otte

Yet another woman has come forward to put Thomas Ravenel on blast. This time, it’s a childhood friend of Kim Kardashian’s.

Luzanne Otte describes how she had a fling with the star and found him to be, well, a charming southern gentleman … at first.

After one week, she says, they came home from a pleasant dinner and she found him coming up the stairs, hurling verbal abuse in her direction.

She says that the sudden behavioral twist seemed to come out of nowhere, and that she feared that if she said or did the wrong thing at that time, that he would become physically violent.

Speaking to The Daily Mail, Otte was unwilling to say whether he became physical during the encounter.

She does say that it was frightening, and that though he calmed down and apologized, no one has the right to treat anyone that way.

Seven months later, she says, Ravenel and his current girlfriend, Ashley Jacobs, began cyberbullying her.

Otte says that she has faced threats and had to obtain a cease and desist order against Ravenel and Jacobs.

Luzanne Otte’s story of her scary encounter with Ravenel and the aftermath of it are not as frightening as the accusations of rape that the police are investigating.

But, like his history of misogynistic comments on Southern Charm, a number of fans consider it as a … character reference.

Fans are clearly disappointed to perceive that Bravo is circling the wagons around one of their stars.

Ratings for Southern Charm are good, and Ravenel is undoubtedly a part of that. But that should not excuse anyone from a criminal investigation.

CBS Responds to Pauley Perrette Assault Allegations

Pauley Perrette may be out of NCIS.

But the actress is not out of the news.

Far from it, in fact.

The veteran series regular bid farewell to television’s highest-rated drama eight days ago, but she’s been making headlines ever since for a series of cryptic Tweets.

Cryptic and disturbing Tweets, we should say.

“I refused to go low, that’s why I’ve never told publicly what happened,” Perrette wrote over last weekend, adding mysteriously:

“But there are tabloid articles out there that are telling total lies about me. If you believe them? Please leave me alone. You clearly don’t know me. (Sorry guys, had to be said).”

Perrette announced in October that she was leaving NCIS, on which she had starred as forensic specialist Abby Sciuto since the very first episode.

She said she made the decision a year earlier, but didn’t mention anything at this time about trouble on set.

On May 13, however, she continued her troubling Twitter posting as follows:

There is a “machine’ keeping me silent, and feeding FALSE stories about me. A very rich, very powerful publicity “machine”.

No morals, no obligation to truth, and I’m just left here, reading the lies, trying to protect my crew. Trying to remain calm. He did it.

She then really caught the attention of outlets everywhere by alleging that bullying and/or some kind of physical abuse has taken place on set:

I’ve been supporting ant-bullying programs forever. But now I KNOW because it was ME! If it’s school or work, that you’re required to go to? It’s horrifying. I left. Multiple Physical Assaults.

I REALLY get it now. Stay safe. Nothing is worth your safety. Tell someone.

many pauley tweets

Sort of crazy, right?

NCIS just wrapped up Season 15, has been renewed for Season 16 and there’s been little to no talk at all over the years about these sort of allegations.

In response, however, CBS has acknowledged that Perrette did go to producers or higher-ups with at least one complaint in early 2017 or in 2016.

“Over a year ago, Pauley came to us with a workplace concern,” the network said in a statement to Variety on Tuesday, adding:

“We took the matter seriously and worked with her to find a resolution. We are committed to a safe work environment on all our shows.”

That’s a rather broad and vague reply, but it seems to have satisfied Perrette.

“I want to thank my studio and network CBS They have always been so good to me and always had my back,” she Tweeted after reading the statement above.

We reported yesterday that tension has existed between Perrette and lead star Mark Harmon for about two years now.

The latter apparently brought in his rescue dog in 2016, only for him to bite a crew member.

Harmon felt terrible and kept the canine away from the set for awhile… until, down the line, it had been properly trained and he could not find a dog-sitter.

Sources told Radar Online that Perrette was the only person affiliated with the show who took issue with the re-emergence of this dog and that she has held it against Harmon ever since.

It’s worth emphasizing, however, that this tiff is NOT what Perrette has been referencing with her “assault” claims.

Chris Lopez Responds to Kailyn Lowry Abuse Allegations

Even though he"s never appeared on the show, Chris Lopez is not a particularly beloved figure among Teen Mom 2 fans.

Lopez briefly dated Kailyn Lowry last year, and he"s the father of her youngest son, Lux.

Unfortunately, Chris has made it abundantly clear that he wants nothing to do with either Kail or the show that made her famous.

By most accounts, Lopez is something of a jerk, but until recently we thought he was simply a bad boyfriend who became a deadbeat dad.

Now, Briana DeJesus has leveled a much more serious allegation at Lopez, and some fans might not be satisfied by his response …

1. Instagram Dad

Chris lopez with baby lux

Chris and Kal have had a contentious relationship since well before Lux was born. These days, he posts lots of pics of himself and his son, but Kail says it’s all for show and accuses him of being an “Instagram dad.”

2. Back and Forth

Chris lopez burns kailyns book

She says he’s barely a part of Lux’s life at all, and he usually responds with pettiness like this. Yes, that’s a photo of Chris burning a copy of Kail’s memoir.

3. Lux Life

Kailyn lowry and baby lux at the beach

Needless to say, the former couple has failed to form the amicable co-parenting relationship that Kail had hoped for. And now it looks as though the situation might be far worse than we initially thought …

4. Always a Source of Drama

Briana is psyched

The latest uproar surrounding Lopez is the result of a bizarre comment that Kail’s longtime rival, Briana DeJesus, made on Instagram.

5. Not Holding Back

Briana drama

When a fan accused Briana of trash-talking Kail in front of her kids, DeJesus replied, “I wasn’t talking s–t and shut the f–k up cause she gets beat the f–k up by Chris in front of her kids, goodbye.”

6. Chris Responds

Chris lopez and lux

Needless to say, Chris was not happy with the accusation leveled by Briana, and he wasted no time in responding.

Dwayne Johnson Responds to DJ Khaled, Is ALL About Oral Sex

Note to Lauren Hashian:

You are a very lucky woman.

This isn’t exactly an Earth-shattering statement, considering Hashian has been dating Dwayne Johnson for years and everyone knows Dwayne Johnson is awesome.

But now we have a new reason to think Dwayne Johnson is awesome.

And all women around the world, especially, have a new reason to think Dwayne Johnson is awesome.

Because Dwayne Johnson loves to provide his sexual partner with as much pleasure as possible.

We now know this due to the action star’s response to an old DJ Khaled interview that went viral late last week.

In this chat with a radio program from 2015 that surfaced on Friday, Khaled said simply that he never goes down on a woman in bed.

“I don’t do that,” the overweight musician said about the intimate act, explaining that he does expect his mate to wrap her lips around his private part.

Why the contrasting beliefs?

How does Khaled justify these stances?

Be warned, readers, you may vomit upon reading his reply:

“It’s different rules for men,” he said. “You gotta understand, we the king.

“There’s some things that y’all might not wanna do, but it got to get done. I just can’t do what you want me to do. I just can’t.”

No one should be made to do what he or she does not want to do, of course.

But there are “different rules for men” because the are “the king?”

First, we feel awful here for Khaled’s wife, Nicole Tuck.

Two, well, take it away, Johnson…

“Ahem.. *clears throat* as a man, I take great pride in mastering ALL performances,” the former wrestler Tweeted as a response to this story, concluding:

“This is probably a little TMI.. I will now quietly excuse myself from this fun thread.”

We really didn’t need another reason to think Johnson quite possibly the coolest man alive — but now we have one!

rock says

Elsewhere, Khaled’s remark drew ire and analysis from a handful of other celebrities.

For example, Westworld actress Evan Rachel Wood, who came out in 2011 as bisexual, also called out the hip-hop producer for his oral sex comments.

“You’re seriously missing out man,” she Tweeted. “Take it from someone who has pride and thoroughly enjoys pleasuring women. You should grow up.”

In his original interview, Khaled did acknowledge that “a man should praise the queen.”

Sounds great, right?

But not when you listen a bit further:

“My way of praising is called, ‘How was dinner? You like the house you living in? You like all them clothes you getting? I’m taking care of your family, I’m taking care of my family.’

“You know, I’m putting in the work.”

SIGH.

We know 2018 sucks in many ways, DJ Khaled.

But ignore who’s in the White House and what approximately 38 percent of the country thinks these days.

Stop living in 1918 and try to see women as your equal. It really isn’t that difficult.

Ryan Reynolds Responds to Blake Lively Unfollow: I"m Very Sad ...

Earlier this week, Blake Lively unfollowed Ryan Reynolds, and it was no accident.

A lot of fans immediately feared the worst for this gorgeous married couple.

Now, Ryan is speaking up … in true Ryan Reynolds fashion.

In an interview with Australian radio show Smallzy Surgery (it’s Australian and a radio show, so of course that’s its name), Ryan acknowledged that, yes, his wife did unfollow him.

“Yes, she did. I’m very sad about that.”

He goes on to share how it feels.

“Definitely stinks. It’s a terrible way to find out that I’ve been kicked out of the house, to be honest.”

As you may have gathered, this response is all tongue-in-cheek, as we’ll explain in a moment.

“Absolutely terrible. I don’t know where rage like that comes from.”

He even suggests what it would be like to explain this situation to their child.

“Mommy unfollowed Daddy on Instagram. My child would just fart and then walk away.”

There’s a reason that he’s in such good humor about this.

Because the unfollowing was nothing personal.

As we mentioned when Blake so famously unfollowed him, she also unfollowed almost everyone. And no, she’s not doing an Instagram purge.

It’s a stunt.

Blake Lively is currently following only 38 accounts on all of Instagram, and each belongs to a woman named Emily Nelson.

Blake Lively is starring as a woman named Emily Nelson in the upcoming film, A Simple Favor.

In the film, Emily goes missing suddenly, leaving a mommy blogger (played by Anna Kendrick) who describes herself as Emily’s best friend guessing about what happened.

This is the sort of film with mystery, twists and turns, and even the appearance of a dead body at some point during the film.

Throughout, Anna Kendrick’s character comes to admit that she did not know Emily as well as she thought that she did.

The teaser trailer dropped on Wednesday, so Blake’s stunt’s timing was not a coincidence.

At present, that teaser trailer is the only post on her Instagram page.

Ryan Reynolds is playing along with the “unfollowed” because he’s goofy and lovable.

It also brings more attention to his wife’s project.

Of course, it just so happens that Ryan has a new movie of his own coming out soon.

Deadpool 2, the much-anticipated sequel of the spectacular first film, follows the fourth wall-shattering adventures of an unkillable pansexual anti-hero named Deadpool.

Marvel and DC have long parodied and copied each other in comics, but Deadpool (originally intended as Marvel’s answer to the DC villain, Deathstroke) has become a truly unique character with a dedicated fanbase.

And Ryan’s own sense of humor meshes extremely well with the character.

We suppose that one of the greatest things about two young, stunning actors being married is that they can support each other’s projects.

Supporting each other is one thing, but using long-standing divorce rumors to promote a film is taking an extra step.

While Ryan’s film is more anticipated and is likely to draw a larger audience, many are intrigued by Blake’s movie.

And you have to admit that this is a great marketing strategy.

After all, how many people might never have even heard about this film, let alone researched it, had it not been for this marketing ploy?

It’s always nice to see social media marketing done well.

And, of course, to see a cooperative husband support his wife’s work.

Matt Lauer Responds to New Sexual Assault Allegations

Matt Lauer has spoken out for the first time in five months.

The disgraced former Today Show host has issued a new statement in light of new and very troubling allegations leveled against him.

“I have made no public comments on the many false stories from anonymous or biased sources that have been reported about me over these past several months” Lauer told The Washington Post last night, adding:

“I remained silent in an attempt to protect my family from further embarrassment and to restore a small degree of the privacy they have lost.”

He continued:

“But defending my family now requires me to speak up. I fully acknowledge that I acted inappropriately as a husband, father and principal at NBC.

“However I want to make it perfectly clear that any allegations or reports of coercive, aggressive or abusive actions on my part, at any time, are absolutely false.”

A few months ago, Lauer was accused of rape.

A former NBC staffer said the embattled reporter locked the door to his office when she was inside of it and then forced himself on her.

But that alleged incident is actually not what Lauer is responding to here.

Instead, he has broken his lengthy silence after ex-colleague and co-host Ann Curry told The Post this week that she approached by two members of NBC’s management team in 2012 after an female staffer told Curry that she was “sexually harassed physically” by Lauer.

This is what Curry told the newspaper:

“A woman approached me and asked me tearfully if I could help her. She was afraid of losing her job. … I believed her.”

Added Curry in this new interview:

“I told management they had a problem and they needed to keep an eye on him and how he deals with women.”

It wasn’t until this past November, however, that Lauer was fired for sexual misconduct.

NBC management said at the time that it had received a believable report from an employee at the network in regard to Lauer’s behavior…

…and that it had reasons to believe many other incidents involving Lauer had also taken place.

Curry left NBC in 2015, much to the chagrin of pretty much anyone who ever watched her on air.

It was evident that she did not get along with Lauer, although she mostly took the high road when asked about him in January.

“I can tell you that I am not surprised by the allegations,” the veteran journalist said very simply in response to the Lauer scandal.

In this instance, though, Curry emphasized that she was familiar with verbal harassment examples.

A few days after Lauer was fired, he released the following statement:

There are no words to express my sorrow and regret for the pain I have caused others by words and action.

To the people I have hurt, I am truly sorry. As I am writing this, I realize the depth of the damage and disappointment I have left behind at home and at NBC.

Some of what is being said about me is untrue or mischaracterized, but there is enough truth in these stories to make me feel embarrassed and ashamed.

I regret that my shame is now shared by the people I cherish dearly

Repairing the damage will take a lot of time and soul searching, and I’m committed to beginning that effort. It is now my full-time job. The last two days have forced me to take a very hard look at my own troubling flaws.

It’s been humbling. I am blessed to be surrounded by people I love.

I thank them for their patience and grace.

There’s been talk of late, however, of Lauer trying to mount some kind of comeback.

We presume this is why Curry has come forward with a new round of accusations against him.

Good for her.

He sucks.

He deserves no more chances.

Ryan Reynolds Responds to Blake Lively Divorce Rumors

Ever since Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively got married back in 2012, the actors have served as the embodiment of #CouplesGoals.

Aside from the fact that they’re both absurdly photogenic, Ryan and Blake seem to have the kind of lighthearted rapport that enabled A-list couples to navigate the rough waters of Hollywood monogamy.

But despite – or perhaps because of – the fairytale appearance of Blake and Ryan’s marriage, a new tabloid report has the couple on the verge of calling it quits.

According to OK! magazine, Reynolds and Lively are contemplating divorce due to the strain placed on their marriage by his work schedule.

“The past few years, Ryan’s been working out of town while Blake stays home with the kids,” a source tells the tabloid.

“The distance between them has taken its toll.”

A believable enough scenario, we suppose.

But if there’s any truth to OK’s claims, it comes as news to Reynolds, who denied the report in the sarcastic fashion that’s long made him one of the most amusing celebs on social media.

“I wish,” Reynolds tweeted in response to the article.

“I could use a little ‘me time."”

Reynolds’ sardonic tone might come as a surprise for those who don’t follow him on Twitter and who know him best from his pre-Deadpool work as a lead in romantic comedies.

However, those who have enjoyed his social media antics know this is all very on-brand for the actor.

This is, after all, the same purveyor of comic gold who’s been known to make fun of his fans’ crappy boyfriends and encourage followers to get his name tattooed on their ass.

Needless to say, Ryan’s tweets are not to be taken too seriously.

By all accounts, however, Ryan and Blake take their marriage and their duties as parents quite seriously.

Late last year, lively opened up about the struggles of raising two children despite a pair of very hectic work schedules.

“My husband and I don’t work at the same time, so we all go together as a family,” Lively told People magazine.

“If we’re away as a family, it’s never more than for a day. We stay together.”

Sounds like Lively and Reynolds won’t be calling it quits anytime soon – but that doesn’t mean he’ll stop lovingly roasting his wife on Twitter.

Jamie Foxx Gets Asked Katie Holmes, Responds Like THIS

Jamie Foxx seems like a fun-loving guy.

And he and Katie Holmes seem like one of the more stable couples in Hollywood.

But this doesn"t mean Jamie Foxx actually wants to discuss Katie Holmes in public.

The Academy Award nominee made that clear on Friday night during an interview with ESPN"s Michael Smith.

Talking to the network prior to a celebrity basketball game, Foxx was asked the following question by Smith, who referenced a rumor about an activity in which he and Holmes recently engaged:

“I know you prepared because I saw pictures. Did you and Katie Holmes play basketball for Valentine’s Day? Like some real Love and Basketball?”

Pretty innocent, right?

It"s not as though Foxx was asked whether Holmes was pregnant with his baby.

But it wasn"t innocent enough for the actor.

You can see him squirm and smirk in the following video, clearly uncomfortable with the inquiry and unsure how to respond.

And then he figured out that he had no interest in responding.

Foxx calmly got up, received some help taking his microphone off and slowly walked away.

He didn"t cause a major scene, he just decided he had enough of the interview once it got remotely personal.

Foxx and Holmes have been together for about five years. This is a very serious romance,.

But it"s also one of the most private ones in all of entertainment, which may be why it works for them and may be why Foxx didn"t want to discuss it.

About that basketball rumor, though?

About how they were seen on a court in Calabasas?

“They were really happy,” an onlooker told Us Weekly of their Valentine"s Day date, adding:

“Katie was dancing as they walked in and Jamie was laughing. They seem really at ease and truly enjoying each other.”

We"ll just need to take this person"s word for it.

Jade Roper Responds to Breastfeeding Photo Backlash

Fun fact: not all Bachelor in Paradise romances lead to disaster. Every now and then, a couple emerges and they stay together. In fact, Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert got engaged, got married, and then Jade and Tanner welcomed their first child!

Jade Roper recently shared a precious breastfeeding photo and got slammed for it.

Now that the dust has settled, she’s speaking out.

it started with this photo and the accompanying caption:

“Mommy PSA! Nursing Emmy has been one of the most amazing experiences of my life (I adore these after feeding snuggles, too).”

It’s not just a source of nutrition — it can be an incredible period of bonding.

“It’s so incredible how our bodies transform during and post-pregnancy. But all nursing mommies out there know how difficult finding a good, functional nursing bra can be!”

Well, here comes the product placement.

“@thirdlove has created a comfortable, practical and beautiful nursing bra that FITS! You go on their site and take a quick fit finder quiz and they ship the bras straight to your door.”

But at least she offers a promo code.

“Even better they offer a 100% fit guarantee! They have a wide range of styles and sizes for every woman. (I also got a beautiful lace bra). Use my code JADE15 for 15% off your first order! #mythirdlove”

As precious as the picture, snapped right after she was breastfeeding her adorable baby, was … she got some backlash, and took to her Instagram story to address it.

“So, I had some comments about the picture I posted of me and Emerson after I was breastfeeding and people telling me they don’t look like that when they breastfeed and that I was setting up a standard that’s impossible to live up to.”

She did look super nice in that photo.

“The truth about that picture is I had a photo shoot the day before and I hadn’t taken my makeup off, so that’s literally the day before’s makeup.”

She shouldn’t have to explain why she had the gall to look nice in a photo … but that definitely explains it.

“And it was slightly staged — we positioned Emerson just right to make the picture [work], but that was literally right after I had fed her and she had fallen asleep on me and we do have those moments where we snuggle so I don’t get what’s so unreal about it.”

Any photo that isn’t a candid is slightly staged.

She clarifies that her real life is a good deal messier.

“People were telling me I shouldn’t cover up. I was actually getting flack for putting a cover over my baby which I just don’t understand why that would be something people would give me s–t about.”

You can cover up your boob or you can leave it exposed, folks. That’s your right as a human being. One person’s campaign to go topless should not be read as a mandate for another to cover up.

“And my baby is feeding right now and I’m still going to cover up because that’s what I feel the most comfortable with. I feel like I don’t need to share all of that with the world, that’s not the message. It’s just that women should be able to do what they feel like they need to do for their babies.”

Exactly! She can cover up or not. Again, her choice.

“And my baby is feeding right now and I’m still going to cover up because that’s what I feel the most comfortable with. I feel like I don’t need to share all of that with the world, that’s not the message. It’s just that women should be able to do what they feel like they need to do for their babies.”

It turns out that her reply to the backlash was well-received, because she posted again — with this throwback pic.

“You guuuuys, thank you so much for all the support I’ve received about my Instagram stories earlier. It truly, truly means so much to me and I tried to read every kind and empowering message from each of you.”

“I was very emotional earlier. and I think it’s because my nursing relationship with Emmy is one of my most favorite mommy experiences (even though it’s had its ups and downs, because it’s an ever changing experience).”

“Thank you for letting me be myself and express how much I love being a mom and thank you for letting me express myself when I feel like I’m failing as a mom (or failing others) or I feel unsure of myself.”

She finishes that photo’s caption with:

“All the moms out there that support each other, you’re the best. *This is my favorite post-feeding picture of Emmy and me, I can’t believe she used to be this little."”

It’s a shame that she got backlash for looking her best for a photo. Famous people don’t owe you the nitty gritty messiness of human existence.

It’s also a shame that people give her a hard time for covering up. That is every bit as bad as giving a woman a hard time for not covering up. What’s liberating for one woman can be horrifying for another.
