Mother and 8-Year Old Daughter Die in Separate Car Crashes, 30 Minutes Apart
The following is a truly awful story.
Our heart breaks for everyone involved in it and everyone who has been affected by it.
An Alabama woman and her eight-year old daughter died on Tuesday afternoon in separate car-related accidents… within 30 minutes and seven miles of each other.
According to DeKalb County Coroner Tom Wilson, the victims have been identified as 39-year-old Julie Yates Patterson and her child, Elizabeth “Libby” Patterson.
Said Wilson to The Huffington Post, detailing what transpired:
“The mother’s car was involved in a head-on collision with another vehicle and then about a half hour later, the daughter was crossing the road when she was struck by a car.”
Wilson added that both incidents took place on Alabama State Route 117, which is located near the family’s residence in Valley Head.
This highway is a winding two-lane road that runs northwest from the Georgia state line through the town of Ider into Jackson County, eventually ending at the Tennessee state line.
Valley Head is a small town about 70 miles southeast of Huntsville; the impact of these tragedies has been felt by all who call it home.
“It’s just a tragic, tragic thing for something like that to happen,” Valley Head Mayor Lamar Bray said on Wednesday, adding:
“In a little town of 500 or 600 people, everybody knows everybody or [is] related to everybody. We just request prayers for the family, and we’ll all come together as a community.”
Per The Times Free Press, family members say that Libby had recently celebrated her birthday and that a school bus had reportedly dropped her off minutes before the fatal accident.
Al.com also reported on the accident that killed Julia, writing that the crash injured at least two other people, both of whom were transported to an area hospital.
Their conditions are unknown at the moment.
The driver of the vehicle that struck and killed Libby was not injured.
Wilson told The Huffington Post in a quick interview that the small rural community is “mostly in shock and disbelief.”
He added:
“It’s quite a coincidence. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like it.”
On Thursday morning, an account at Gofundme.com went up to help pay for funeral expenses; to date, it has raised nearly $ 2,000.

Most of you know Julie Yates was killed in a car accident on March 21st, on that same day, shortly after, her daughter Libby was also killed after being struck by a car.
Nobody knows or is prepared for something like this. I have started this page in hopes for our little community to come together and help this family as much as possible.
The money will be put towards the funeral, and what is left will be given to the Yates family to do what they deem necessary, whether it is funeral expenses or whatever they need. I am a friend of the family, I went to church with Julie’s daughter and I intend on taking the funds to the funeral home in which the funeral will be held.

Kim Kardashian & Kanye West: Living in Separate Homes!
As you’ve likely heard by now, Kanye West was hospitalized last week after suffering a psychological breakdown.
As is usually the case with this sort of thing, rumors about the nature and severity of his condition have been circulating non-stop, but confirmed details remain scarce.
So far, we know for certain that the rapper required nine days of in-patient care and that his release date was postponed at least once to allow for additional treatment.
Now, Kanye is out of the hospital but still under the supervision of 24-hour medical staff.
It’s been widely rumored that his erratic and possibly dangerous behavior has put a strain on his marriage to Kim Kardashian, and now People magazine is confirming that Kim and Kanye are indeed living in separate homes.
The move is said to be primarily a safety precaution, but there have been multiple reports that Kardashian and West were headed for divorce in the weeks leading up to his hospitalization.
“He is receiving outpatient care else with a medical team,” a source tells the magazine.
“Kim still seems concerned but is supportive. They don’t know for how long Kanye will need outpatient care.”
The insider says Kim is concerned for the safety of her children, who have reportedly not seen West since the day he was admitted.
“She is very worried about the kids being around Kanye,” says the source, adding that they did not accompany her on her visits to the hospital.
The family threw an early birthday party for Kim’s son Saint on Wednesday, but Kanye was not in attendance.
The unidentified family friend claims that the future of Kim and Kanye’s relationship is unclear, but adds that both parties hope to move forward as a couple.
“There are frustrations and problems, like any relationship, but they love each other deeply,” the insider says.
As for now, however, the iconic couple is soon to enter their third week of sleeping under separate roofs.

Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna: Sleeping In Separate Bedrooms?!
Things have gone from bad to worse for Rob Kardashian and his pregnant fiancee, Blac Chyna.
Not only have they been fighting ever since their reality show, Rob & Chyna started filming, but now they’re sleeping in separate bedrooms.
According to Radar Online, Chyna is entering her third trimester, which means that she’s getting more uncomfortable and is likely finding it hard to sleep through the night.
“Blac is getting up several times a night right now and Rob cannot take it anymore,” a source told the site.
“Every time she gets up, Rob thinks that something is wrong because he is a total hypochondriac.”
All this worrying is really throwing Kardashian off his REM cycle.
“She is just really pregnant right now and Rob wants his sleep!”
For those of you who haven’t been Keeping Up With Rob Kardashian (I had to), you’re aware that he kind of acts like a baby from time to time.
“Blac Chyna cannot play mommy to Rob right now because the roles have reversed and he is taking care of her,” the source added.
Kardashian reportedly can’t handle this new responsibility, so reinforcements have been called in.
“The two of them have been arguing and Kris Jenner has had to play mediator on several occasions.
“Kris just tries to console Rob and tells her son that Blac’s attitude is due to hormonal changes and that he needs to give her some slack.”
The child hasn’t even entered this world, and already Jenner has to coach her son on how to handle life.
It might not make for a healthy relationship, but I suppose it does make for excellent TV.
In other Rob vs His Sisters news, Khloe, Kourtney and Kim are pissed at their mother for loaning their little brother money.
“The whole family is sick of him getting bailed out all the time by Kris, mainly because it’s going straight to Blac Chyna and her greedy crew, ” another source told Radar.
“Kim and Kourtney are the most infuriated because they feel they’ve achieved great things on their own, whereas Rob’s this lazy leech who’s happy to spend his mom’s hard-earned cash without doing any work himself.
“It makes them sick, but Kris is so soft on Rob and lets him get away with absolute murder.”
What a healthy environment this blessed child will be born into.

Nicolas Cage & Wife Alice Kim Separate After 12 Years of Marriage
Nicolas Cage and his wife Alice Kim have separated after 12 years of marriage.
A rep for the actor confirmed the news to Us Weekly earlier today.
The couple share one son together, Kal-el, 10.
Cage met Kim when she was working as a waitress at the Los Angeles-based restaurant Kabuki and got engaged after just two months of dating.
They were married at a private ranch in Northern California in July of 2004.
In 2011, Cage was arrested for domestic abuse against his wife during a heated argument they had on the street in New Orleans.
During the outburst, Cage allegedly grabbed Kim by the arm and pulled her down the street.
Reportedly drunk and certainly disorderly, Cage began hitting parked cars before police arrived on the scene.
When he was told to go home, he dared the cops to arrest him, and eventually they did.
However, Kim did not want him charged and claimed there was no physical contact.
Since this incident, we haven’t heard much about their relationship except that Cage had squandered away his money and was living with his family in a tiny condo in Las Vegas.
This was the third marriage for Cage.
He was married to Patricia Arquette from 1995 to 2001.
In August 2002, Cage tied the knot with Lisa Marie Presley, but the pair filed for divorce just months later in November of the same year.

Kim Kardashian & Kanye West: Sleeping in Separate Rooms? Living Separate Lives?
Last week, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West finally moved into their own home after years of crashing with Kris Jenner and seriously testing the limits of the momager’s patience.
Unfortunately, instead of building a new life together, the couple is reportedly becoming more and more distant from one another.
“Kim and Kanye don’t sleep in the same bedroom in the new house,” a source close to the situation tells Radar Online.
“At Kris’s house they had to be together because there wasn’t a lot of room. At the new house they have tons and tons of space and so they are apart even when they’re home. And night is the worst time.”
The insider claims the main reason the couple spends so much time apart is stress that’s unrelated to their relationship:
“Kim is dealing with the kids at night and Kanye is working a lot…Kim and Kanye might live in the same house, but they don’t even see each other sometimes.”
Yeah, regardless of the cause, this news isn’t gonna help stop all those Kim and Kanye divorce rumors.
When you drop a few million on a mansion, and then a few million more on home repairs just so you can settle in and barely see each other, it’s not a good sign.

Kylie Jenner and Tyga Make Separate Red Carpet Appearances: Is it Over?!
Last month, it was widely reported that Kylie Jenner and Tyga had broken up, but the controversial couple appeared to reconcile less than two days later.
Now, a new round of rumors about trouble in Kyga Land is circulating online, and the couple didn’t help matters with their appearances at last night’s Diamond Ball in Santa Monica.
Yes, Kylie and Tyga both attended the charity event hosted by Rihanna, but they arrived, left and worked the red carpet separately.
It’s been rumored that Kylie has been “ghosting” Tyga (giving him the cold shoulder until he gets the message that the relationship is over), but their reps say that isn’t the case.
Insiders tell TMZ that Kylie and Tyga are simply keeping their distance from one another in public in order to “protect their brands.”
We can understand why Kylie might want to ensure that the public views her as her own woman and not just one half of a famous couple, but the move doesn’t make quite as much sense for Tyga.
After all, “Kylie Jenner’s boyfriend” pretty much is Tyga’s brand, as the majority of the people who see his name in the tabloids probably couldn’t name a single song by the rapper.
So yeah, we’re guessing this is Kylie (or her people’s) idea – and it’s probably one more sign that the Instagram queen will dump Tyga again before the year is out.

Jennifer Aniston & Justin Theroux Eat Dinner Nude, Sleep in Separate Rooms, Source Claims
It’s only been three months since Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux got hitched, but we’ve already heard a number of bizarre rumors about their marriage.
Several sources have claimed that Aniston and Theroux are leading “separate lives,” often spending several weeks at a time living apart as a result of work commitments.
Now, one insider is claiming that Jen and Justin maintain their distance from one another even when they’re both under the same roof – but apparently they make up for it but being intimate in other ways.
“There’s no doubt they love each other and really are best friends, but they’re careful not to spend too much time together,” the source tells Star magazine.
“They just enjoy their own space too much. They actually get along better when they’re on separate coasts. They flirt by text and love to send each other pictures of their wedding rings.”
The insider adds that on the rare occasion when they’re both at home, Justin and Jen sleep in separate rooms:
“Justin likes to read in bed, watch TV, browse the Internet and send emails—often all at the same time. He drives Jen nuts when she’s trying to get some sleep.”
But apparently, the fact that they sleep in different beds has not affected their sex life:
“She says their sex life is off the charts and that Justin is very adventurous,” the source claims. “Their new thing is eating dinner in the nude!”
We wonder if they eat naked meals when they’re on separate coasts and send each other pics of their nude noshes. It’s enough to make you pray for another Fappening!

Jennifer Aniston & Justin Theroux: Living Separate Lives Just One Month After Wedding?
Yesterday, we reported that Justin Theroux was not happy with a wedding gift that Brad Pitt sent to congratulate him and Jennifer Aniston on their long-awaited nuptials.
Sources say Justin made his feelings clear, and the whole situation made for an unfortunate start to Jen and Justin’s life together as a married couple.
Now, the actors are facing another early hurdle, as due to their hectic work schedules, Jen and Justin will spend the next three months apart.
The forced separation was expected (Jen is in Atlanta shooting a movie, Justin is in Austin shooting his HBO series, The Leftovers), but sources say that’s not making things any easier.
According to Radar Online, Jen and Justin have had little contact with one another in the past few weeks, and one or both parties may be feeling that married life isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
Witnesses say Justin (who has struggled with substance abuse issues in the past) was recently spotted leaving a liquor store with a bottle in his hand.
For her part, Jen has reportedly been distant and lethargic on set.
Aniston and Theroux have been together for several years, and it’s unlikely that their feelings changed abruptly after tying the knot, but spending several months in different states would be enough to put any new marriage to the test.
