Colton Underwood: All That Virginity Talk Triggered Something in Me!
If you’re following The Bachelorette Spoilers, you already know how this season ends. But even so, the Men Tell All special was a real treat for the Bachelor Nation.
But it was also awkward, and not just for Becca. Colton Underwood’s famous virginity came up.
Now, he’s revealing how he really felt about about the discussion, and how the conversation surrounding his v-card “triggered something.”
Entertainment Tonight spoke to Colton Underwood about his virginity and the discourse surrounding it.
“Some comments caught me off guard and really triggered something in me and I felt like I spoke my truth tonight,” Colton said.
“It took a lot of self-restraint to stay seated,” he admits, referring to Jean Blanc’s comment.
“I can’t even understand where that comment comes from,” Colton says. “And in the manner that it came off was so disrespectful.”
Some people are uncomfortable with the sexual choices of others and lash out. Some people … just can’t resist trolling, unfortunately.
Colton says that he understands that not everyone can wrap their head around why a handsome, famous adult man might not have had sex yet.
“I can respect that they have their opinion,” Colton says.
“I hope that at least I started a dialogue and I started a conversation in which they can understand what makes me, me,” he states.
“And I’m not here to prove a point,” Colton notes, adding: “I’m not here to defend myself, I’m not here to say I’m better than anybody else.”
Having sex or not having it is a personal choice, and should never be grounds to attack someone else. Not for having a thousand partners and not for having zero.
“What I am here to do is be true to who I am, and The Bachelorette has helped me do that,” Colton says. “So I can’t thank them enough.”
“This has been so good for me and so therapeutic for me,” he adds.
Even Chris Harrison observed that there’s a huge and gendered double-standard when it comes to virginity.
“There’s a double standard, isn’t there?” Chris noted.
He’s right.
“Why is it different that when a woman talks about it,” Chris notes, referring to a decision to remain a virgin. “It’s respected.
“And then,” Chris continues. “When a guy talks about it, he should be shamed?”
The answer is that patriarchal cultural values encourage men to make sexual “conquests” while women are seen as property. That is changing, but underlying prejudices and double-standards still linger.
Conversely, men who have had a lot of sex are likely to be praised. Women who have had a lot of sex are more likely to be insulted.
“We will probably be talking about this now because of Colton,” Chris says, crediting Colton for starting a nationwide conversation.
Colton says that, behind the scenes, the response has been overwhelming and positive.
“I can’t tell you how many athletes and players and former teammates have reached out to me,” Colton says.
They made contact, Colton explains, “and said, ‘Man, I wish I knew you were going through this."”
“‘I was going through something similar.’ And for me to hear that means the world,” Colton explains. “Because that is where I felt the deepest and the darkest is at those times.”
There is something very toxic going on in the world if adult men feel pressured to lie about their sex lives in order to appease their peers.
Colton isn’t planning on avoiding sex forever — or even until marriage.
Colton says that he is “waiting for the right heart.”
That is such a good way of putting it.
“It sounds a little cheesy,” Colton admits. “I’m waiting for someone to match my intensity, someone that’s going to be into me as much as I am into them.”
He’s saving his v-card for “somebody that I am so madly in love with and that I can share that special moment with.”
Virginity is a social construct with varying definitions, but that doesn’t mean that people aren’t allowed to find it significant. This is very sweet.
“That’s what I’m waiting for,” Colton explains. “And that’s what I’m looking forward to.”
Colton Underwood also took to Instagram to reflect upon the conversation about what he has or has not done sexually.
“Behind my smile are layers of insecurities, scars from my past, & feelings that have been buried for years,” Colton begins.
“It’s easy to show only the good/happy times on social media,” he writes. “I do that.”
“I love shedding light on positive/impactful events in my life, but the truth is I have had struggles,” Colton confesses. “For years I hid my feelings, including depression & anxiety.”
“You see a portion of my life and a select few scenes that help portray a picture of who I am,” he cautions his followers.
“I’m here to tell you that I am not perfect,” Colton says. “And that it’s okay to not be okay sometimes.”
Colton says: “If I have to continue to take cheap shots about my virginity — which is only a small part of who I am — so that others like me can feel comfortable & relate — Bring it on!”
“While I didn’t plan on breaking down or speaking about my virginity on tonight’s episode,” Colton writes. “it is clearly something that I struggle talking about.”
“When I heard the comments made by some of the other guys,” Colton admits. “it triggered a response from me that was unexpected.”
Colton says: “While I respect their opinions, I’m not here to prove a point, say I’m better than anyone else, or gain sympathy.”
“It is what it is,” he writes. “my virginity shouldn’t have to be defended or used to describe me as a person.”
He’s right. Please be nice.

Josh and Anna Duggar Divorce: Triggered By Fears of "Filthiest Secrets" Being Revealed in Lawsuit?
Anna Duggar is reportedly ready to call it quits with her husband, disgraced Counting On star Josh Duggar, and officially file for divorce.
The last straw for her, apparently, was a lawsuit filed against him.
According to reports, Anna Duggar will divorce Josh and ditch her extended family for a new life with her four kids in a different state.
That being said, “Anna hasn’t told Josh she wants a divorce.”
You could call that a slight impediment to getting a divorce.
“A friend of hers put her in touch with a lawyer and Anna has spoken to the lawyer on the phone,” however, according to a family insider.”
“She’s been putting off meeting them for some time because she was terrified of being spotted at their office, but she is now finally ready.”
Anna plans to meet the attorney “in the next week or so.”
The long-suffering wife learned that a lawsuit filed against her husband in L.A. could result in her husband and his family being deposed.
That, according to insiders, is when she hit rock bottom.
“Anna is sickened by the lawsuit, it is a major reason she is divorcing Josh,” said a source of the case brought against him by Matthew McCarthy.
A popular DJ who lives in Los Angeles, McCarthy alleged that he was subject to ridicule after Josh used a photo of him on OK Cupid.
His lawyers want to depose Josh Duggar, and could also try to talk to other people connected to his infamous incidents of sexual assault.
“Jim Bob and Michelle are worried that McCarthy’s lawyers will also depose members of their family,” the Duggar insider reveals.
“Which means they will all be forced to talk about Josh’s inappropriate sexual behavior, as well as the family’s cover-up of what he did.”
That would be less than stellar for all involved.
“Anna does not want to be there when the family’s filthiest secrets are unearthed,” says the insider, as she wants to protect her children.
The couple, both 28, have two daughters, Mackynzie and Meredith, and two sons, Michael and Marcus, all of whom are under the age of eight.
It has now been almost two years since it was revealed that Josh had been molesting five minors as a teen including four of his sisters.
That same summer, it was also revealed he had an account on the cheating website Ashley Madison, and on OK Cupid as well.
(Josh was accused of paying a woman, Danica Dillon, for sex and mistreating her, but he denied ever meeting the exotic dancer.)
Says the insider close to the famous family:
“Josh and his parents, Jim Bob and Michelle, are terrified of what this lawsuit will do to the Duggars’ already tarnished reputation.”
He went to faith-based rehab from September 2015-April 2016, and since his return to Arkansas, he’s managed to avoid any major scandals.
Relations remain frosty at home, though.
“Anna and Josh share the same bed, but she never has sex with him anymore. She just does not want to,” says the source, candidly.
Who can blame her for not wanting to let him flop around on top of her, as “she feels Josh put her through hell with disgusting behavior.”
Will she actually leave him, however much he might deserve such a fate? To be honest, we would not be holding our collective breath.
The Duggars, no doubt, would put up a fight every step of the way and try everything – including full-on bribery – to keep her in the fold.
And that’s not the only factor involved.
From what we know of Anna’s background (see Susanna Keller), she might well be ostracized from both families if she attempts this.

Kanye West: What Triggered the Breakdown?!?
We can most definitely say the following about Kanye West:
If his ongoing hospitalization is part of some kind of publicity stunt, then the rapper is more committed than we ever imagined possible.
West has been under a doctor’s care and supervision for over a week now, ever since he was accused of assault against a gym employee and considered a danger, either to himself or others.
At first, many wondered whether Kanye was simply being Kanye; that is, acting weird and doing whatever possible to garner attention and headlines.
But various reputable insiders have confirmed that West really is suffering from some kind of mental breakdown.
He’s been described as depressed and paranoid and there’s no date scheduled at the moment for his release.
Could we have seen this downfall coming? Perhaps.
Just days prior to his hospital admission, Kanye told fans that he would have voted for Donald Trump for President if he had voted in the election… slammed Beyonce and Jay Z… and ended a concert after just three songs.
But what actually caused this breakdown?
That’s a different question, with contrasting alleged answers.
According to Us Weekly, Kanye’s problems go back to the early morning of October 3.
It was on this date that wife Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint in her Paris apartment, with numerous sources confirming the severity of the situation.
She was bound and gagged and truly believed she was going to be raped or killed or both.
“He’s been shaken up ever since the robbery in Paris. It did a number on him as much as Kim” an insider told Us Weekly, adding:
“The mere thought that anything could happen to her sent him in a tailspin. He wasn’t sleeping and he was having nightmares about it.”
If true, could anyone blame Kanye? We cannot imagine how we’d react if our closest loved one had his or her life threatened in this kind of manner.
There’s been a domino effect from Kim’s understandable decision to avoid the spotlight ever since this scary incident.
She has remained mostly at home with the couple’s children, leaving West on his own while touring.
“Without having Kim by his side during the tour as planned, Kanye wasn’t able to snap back,” People Magazine writes. “Kim being absent because of her own struggles seems to be why things are different with Kanye this time.”
The couple is reunited now, of course.
Kim has remained by Kanye’s hospital bedside throughout this troubling ordeal.
But TMZ does not place the blame for West’s mental state on Kardashian’s robbery or her absence from West’s professional life of late.
Yes, Kanye has had a lot to deal with as a result of what happened to his wife. He’s been especially stressed over the past few weeks.
Still, though, that celebrity gossip website says the the trigger for the breakdown was Donda West’s death way back in November 2007.
Kanye’s mother lost her life due to complications from a plastic surgery procedure. She was very close to her son.
Her funeral was November 20… the same date West cancelled his show at the L.A. Forum.
The following day, Kanye called off the remainder of the tour and hours later suffered this breakdown.
TMZ writes that West has never “properly grieved” over the loss of his mother and that he’s always had a tough time in November as a result of this tragedy.
Combine this sad anniversary with the trauma of Kim’s robbery and it all starts to become far more clear.
Kanye reportedly became paranoid when he was taken to UCLA Medical Center, refusing for a period to even let doctors touch him. He also screamed that people were trying to ruin his marriage.
We believe he’s calmed down over the last couple days, but there are no plans to send him home any time soon.
