Ellen DeGeneres may typically host a show that finds celebrities laughing, having a good time and occasionally being very scared.
But Gwen Stefani made the program a tad dramatic for a few minutes during today"s taping.
The former No Doubt frontwoman took center stage on Ellen, performing the track "Used to Love You" in front of cameramen and the studio audience.
Stefani unveiled the new track a few days ago, with most listeners assuming it was written with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale in mind.
The couple divorced this summer after 13 years of marriage.
They seem to be on amicable terms, despite rumors that Rossdale pulled a Ben Affleck and cheated on Stefani with a nanny.
Stefani, of course, has not uttered a word about the single; she certainly hasn"t confirmed talk that it was written with Rossdale in mind.
But watch the following video. Check out the emotion that pours forth from the beautiful singer. It"s pretty hard to believe this isn"t a personal ballad, wouldn"t you say?
